‘Chopped’ Judge Amanda Freitag Opens Rise and Thyme in Downtown Dallas - Eater Dallas

"Rise & Thyme, the first Texas restaurant by chef and Chopped judge Amanda Freitag, will open this Friday, September 18 in Downtown Dallas. The restaurant will serve American bistro-style food, including pastas, patty melts, and other sandwiches, alongside breakfast pastries and baked goods from local shops like La Casita and Village Baking Co. In addition to dine-in and takeout, the Discovery District offers plenty of space for outdoor seating in a park-like environment." - Brittanie Shey

R&T is the best cafe I've been to in Dallas. The selection and prices make it a must stop if you're in downtown. Plus the food is insanely tasty. If you're looking a great morning restaurant to stop into give R&T a shot.

Simple, well-executed menu with care in every dish. For lunch, the Roast Chicken is simple and abundant. For breakfast, the pancake is a single pancake, that is a meal in and of itself. Just perfect. The kitchen puts a lot of care into each dish. They've also recently lowered pricing on baked goods and opened on weekends. Excited to explore more of the offerings.

Good coffee. Slow incompetent cook. Messy food, not a single napkin though. Avoid if you have business meeting and dont want messy clothes

This place is DELICIOUS. It sells breads and coffees and salads, which are AMAZING. I got a grilled cheese sandwich, a cookie, and an orange juice. Honestly, best grilled cheese I’ve ever had. It was a combination of 4 cheeses on a perfectly toasted sourdough bread. And that cookie was to die for OH MY GOD. CRunchy on the outside, chewy and chocolaty on the inside. The orange juice was just a regular orange juice and was reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place. Come here for some comfort food and amazing service.

Omg!!! So good. We ordered the Easter basket for a picnic... so good and so thoughtful. Love the keeper basket. The food was amazing! If u haven't had the "Cruffins" run! Don't walk to get yourself one! Yummo! And if u love coffee, beats Star*$*@ by a mile. The "Undertow" coffee was an experience in itself. A little hard to find do to no signage out front, but worth hunting for! You can tell it's owned by Amanda Freitag 😁

Some of the best all day breakfast spots in Dallas. If you are in downtown area, Rise + Thyme is the place. Smoked salmon 🍣 all the way is delicious

I went to the one at The Exhange inside or near the AT&T experience, and it is closed. I'm not sure why it still shows up as open on Google maps, but there are a few different eateries inside that you can try, from waffles to tacos to sushi/pokie. 5 stars for the atmosphere at The Exchange. It's very lively but can get busy.
