"Open only since August, Box Food is easily the newest spot on this list, but there’s no downplaying the fact that this Melrose street vendor is churning out some incredibly special jerk chicken. The weekend-only pop-up is essentially just a grill and a few tables at Melrose and Gardner (right in front of the CVS), making it a tremendous on-the-go lunch option if you’re in the area or heading to the Melrose Trading Post on Sundays. In terms of ordering, the name of the game is the “Box Food” - a $15 lunch box containing rice and peas, charred sweet corn with cotija, plantains, and some of the best jerk chicken you’ll find north of Venice Blvd. Or south, for that matter. Follow them on Instagram for the latest details." - Brant Cox

Had a really nice dinner at Rising Eagle. The ordering system is all through a QR code which was a little strange, but it ended up working out. Just did some appetizers. Chicken tenders were awesome. The Mac and cheese was unreal! The sliders were pretty standard but still very good. Will be back!

Google
What a unique, warm and cozy spot! If you're looking for a restaurant to sit and relax while catching up with a friend or to take your time, this is it! The host greeted us, handed us menus and said to seat ourselves and order online. The food menu was robust with lots of comfort foods/American classics plus a great craft beer selection and drink menu. We ordered online without table number and the food came out delivered by different servers as it was ready. This was such a Lovely change of pace! As you order as you wish online, we did not feel rushed and really felt like we were in a dining room in a family/friend's home, it was so nice!

Google
This is a regular spot for a drink and snack- super fun staff, amusing manager and relaxed vibe. Food is consistently good, but they should bring back the tots. Atmosphere is energetic, but less Americano decor would be preferred.

Nice place. FRIDAY NIGHT BUSY! Seems to be a happy place; sat at the bar. Food, drink & service were really good. Our choices, clam chowda, salmon & seafood dishes were nice. Parking, well...Melrose Center so not much different than other busy township centers. We'll be back for sure.

Google
Really nice American restaurant. Food was good and came out quickly. They handed out little trivia cards where you have the chance to win free food or gift cards.

Google
Excellent pub food. Only gave four stars for the service because you use an app to order or have to go to the host stand, and I’d always just prefer waitstaff. But the service otherwise was excellent! The staff was very attentive. Great atmosphere, there was some nice live music playing when we were seated.

Google
What a fabulous place! So full of history! But this restaurant is more than that...the food was excellent. The clam chowder was to die for, and from someone who is very particular eating fish, the fish dishes were really fresh and yummy. There were 5 of us, all first timers, and it won't be out last time! Kudos!

Google
Place is beautiful, food awesome. System is only for people that is familiar with it and want to be thinking and figuring out how the service works, because it’s complicated and it’s not the place to sit down and relax you actually have to think how to order and order quickly, we even sit in the bar and see if it was better but no, it took forever to get our order and even our drinks. The system is terrible. Food very good. Once we had Cole helping us, he was awesome, but due to the system he couldn’t take our order, he just helped us as much as he can, he was awesome. It’s a beautiful place, we had mix feelings about it, I know of people that had left because they just wanted to sit down and relax and they couldn’t because the way you have to order, we enjoyed the food and the beautiful decoration but we hope the system changed.

Yelp
Great revolutionary-era atmosphere! Super sweet staff and a wonderful wood fire complements the cozy comfort food on the menu. Excellent sauce selection as well

Yelp
Food was EXCELLENT Staff was AWESOME Great place. Great nostalgia Americana. Ambiance = They have a wood burning fireplace Kinda weird way to order. On the app or with the hostess. Came out quick and hot though BUT who do you tip ? So I left a note for each of them. Only one drawback on this particular night, but I was told by a worker, every night, lots and lots and lots of kids So, It's a kid friendly place and I'm not sure why because it looks like an adult bar/restaurant Kids gotta eat too BUT I observed, and was told it happens a lot, kids were running around the restaurant, narrowly missing waitresses carrying trays of hot food and glass drinks ‍ I'll go back.

Yelp
Had an excellent dinner here this past week! We went on a rainy Saturday night and found it to be exceptionally busy with a long wait time. We found seats at the bar and were able to order drinks and food. Tried the burger and tenders which were great and very tasty as well as a cornbread skillet which was very good. Drinks were good as well. For some reason it took 30 minutes to get the check, but overall it was a good meal if a little bit uncomfortable. I would definitely go back at a slower time since they don't do reservations. Tough at times for a sit down dinner, but great spot for a drink and some solid food.

Kelly H.

Yelp
We came here on a rainy Thursday when visiting friends! It was super cozy, and we sat at a table right next to the fire. We used the QR code to order, which was incredibly easy! Their French onion soup was super tasty and super CHEESY! I highly recommend this. I ordered the shrimp and grits for myself, which was a huge serving. It was a really good dish. Everyone else at my table ordered sandwiches, which they all devoured. My only feedback is to check the utensils prior to distributing it to customers. I had 2 forks and a spoon that had food stuck to it from the previous users. This was a bit off-putting for me, but the staff was super great about replacing it every time I asked. Customer service was great, and we were checked up throughout our meal. I enjoyed this place and recommend it!

Dennis M.

Yelp
Been awhile since I have been there. Went with my son and we both had the falafel sandwiches. Some green beans and french fries. Food was fast and very delicious. Service is a bit odd here in that you order via the QR code and they bring it to you as its ready. The ambiance is kinda sorta colonial but it is fun. Overall a great local place to grab a bit eat.

Roger L.

Yelp
No one in my party of 5 enjoyed their food. It was barely edible. The white fish and salmon were very salty. The vegetable side had a gross flavor and texture. The burger and fries were not high quality. My kids even said the chocolate milk tasted bad. The servers didn't check to ask how our food is or even offer boxes at the end. The online ordering system was easy to use even with multiple allergies at the table, but felt very impersonal. We were celebrating a birthday, but there wasn't even staff around to tell. Loud ambiance even though it wasn't very busy. Very disappointed and won't be returning.

Kadie S.

Yelp
Good food, quick service, friendly waitress and bar staff. Cool decor. We'll be back!

Yelp
My original review was for takeout. I've now been there twice in person as well. This place confuses me. The ambiance is awesome. I'm so excited to have a cosy pub nearby. It's warm and inviting and feels great. There is a full bar and great beer selection. They offer pony beer pours. But the food is lousy. The best dish I've had is the clam chowder, but the clams are consistently chewy and tough. The French onion soup tastes like it came out of a can. The poutine I've gotten three times. It's always the same and one of the worst I've eaten. Regular fries with average-at-best gravy, big pieces of cooked onion and a little random cheese on top. They advertise rotating beer taps. But when do they rotate? You'd think a couple of them would change monthly, and that there would be a big change between seasons. But they were exactly the same the last two visits. The people are friendly. You order by QR code which is fine. But to this day I'm still not sure if I'm supposed to wait by the maitre d' stand or seat myself. And it would be nice to be checked on regularly for things like drink refills. I want to want to visit every week. I drive by and think, "I should go again," and then remind myself - "Don't do it; you'll be disappointed."

Yelp
If you have yet to try The Eagle you are missing out. Staff, food and atmosphere all combine to make this a go to.

Roger D.

Yelp
This restaurant has the most absurd ordering system. You're sitting at a table and have to order online, which is difficult when you're ordering drinks, appetizers, and dinners for six people. It's next to impossible. Especially if you want things to arrive in a timely order. Note to anyone who goes there, write it all down on a piece of paper which you shouldn't have to do, and take it to the host. To make it worse, I paid the bill, but my wife got the receipt via e-mail though she wasn't charged. I will not go back there, the food is not that great, the service is good as the wait staff are excellent, but the system is bizarre.

Grace V.

Yelp
I wish I could rate more than 5 stars!! I ordered a takeout order through DoorDash. I got the steak tips with green beans and roasted potatoes. The steak tips were absolutely phenomenal!! The sauce was delicious. The green beans and potatoes were yummy as well. I will order from them again in a heartbeat!

Yelp
Impromptu get together with friends on Wednesday evening. The text thread had the usual question - "where to?" We are fortunate in Melrose to have so many good options. The three ladies all seemed to text either the emoji 'Eagle' or the word itself at the exact same time. The food is delicious and the ambiance so welcoming. This night Rey was behind the bar and took such great care of us. Attentive and personable and made a great outing even better. Want to shout out Allie and Aiden too - great customer service. Thank you Rising Eagle for a wonderful night!!!

Lew E.

Yelp
First visit and wasn't thrilled about having to use our phone to place an order....I would rather interact with staff....Food was just OK. You have to enter a CC even if you want to pay cash, which was another minor hassle. Then to see a 2% publick house fee added was surprising.....Just increase your dishes 2% instead of an insulting add on at the end...Won't be back anytime soon

Carolina M.

Yelp
This establishment is fantastic; we go there all the time. The service from the waitstaff is exceptional--highly attentive. The food is delightful, and the atmosphere is invitingly cozy. No complaints whatsoever!

Jessica M.

Yelp
Although it's been around for a few years, I just gave Rising Eagle a try and was pleasantly surprised with it! Their home-cooked food options had initially held us back as our family has several picky eaters. However, after going with a group of friends we'll definitely go back to give it a try with the fam! A little different from most restaurants, you're able to order your food and drinks right at your table via your phone and keep the tab open until you leave, making splitting bills a breeze as each person has their own order/bill. One thing to note is that food and drinks are prepared as you order so things may not come out exactly all together, but it wasn't a problem with our group. It made dinner easier as we were able to order a few items at a time as we were hungry and finished different plates. Absolutely recommend Rising Eagle for something a little different from the typical restaurant!

Chanda R.

Yelp
It's a cool vibe and I recommend for everyone to try it. The day I visited was a Mead tasting event. I've tried mead in the past but this one was local Ipswich. The service was very welcoming. It's great for groups and even solo. You can order from your phone or at the bar. The mashed potatoes were yummy along with the chicken wings! I think I'll become more of a regular here! I'm sorry no pics this time but I'll certainly visit again and will Post a few photos.

Ryan T.

Yelp
Good food, great beer selection at reasonable prices. We got fish cakes and the blat, would want to go again for drinks, and maybe get a snack while there

Ally R.

Yelp
Atmosphere and location is awesome. Some of the specials are great - bring back the poutine!

Noel M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and everyone who is part of this public house style restaurant is very engaging. So glad we live less than 5 miles away but would travel much farther and often to enjoy dinner and drinks at Rising Eagle!

Denise M.

Yelp
Came in on a windy Monday night and did not realize at all it's a self serve restaurant. My how things have changed!! You order by opening the QR code and placing your order at the table, they the deliver. Tonight with the storm the system was down so the old fashion paper and pen method was effectively reestablished, quite successfully. I ordered the GF pot roast with mashed potatoes and asparagus. One of the best pot roasts I've had in quite a while. Honestly really enjoyed with a hint of red wine and the meat softly falling apart with each bite. Heaven. Be prepared to grab your own water, utensils and napkins. I think for people with different abilities they'd accommodate. Worth coming and will be back. The only sad moment was the cold mash potatoes with the pipping hot pot roast but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt they'll do better next time. Cheerful environment, noisy so plan to sit close for those who want the hear.

Yelp
Stopped in for quick lunch... anything but! Was there 2 hours!! Self service in a restaurant is absolutely crazy! We might as well order at a counter and pick it up ourselves. It would be quicker and we're already self-servicing. And what should we tip for and why is kitchen getting a service charge?!?! It's really too bad because the restaurant itself is cute and cozy. Food is okay but not worth the hassle of everything else. Oh by the way, they lost our food order and we had to waited an additional 20 minutes on top of the 40 we already waited. We received one $5 free app for the inconvenience. There was four of us. The 'waitstaff' are almost nonexistent and are bothered by interactions. I will not be going back.

Pat F.

Yelp
Put in my credit card details to get a drink?! No thanks. I've given them a few chances and it just doesn't work. Every time I leave frustrated . The whole point of going out to eat is defeated . Getting up and down to order my drinks is just insane to me.

Donna O.

Yelp
The food is great and I really wanted to like the place. I have zero interest in self service. You're out of touch with-what customers want! Need to Simplify your ordering system. I felt like I was in an office setting . Why can't the waitress just take our order? QR ordering is confusing and only the host can help you with it, if he isn't busy helping others with this system. The pandemic is over and we don't like ordering this way. Also, Beware of an added fee called Publick House fee that you could totally not notice on your bill at the end . It's for the kitchen staff. So deceptive. Plus tip for waitress , who you hardly interact with. An otherwise lovely lunch was ruined by all the discomfort of the QR codes.

Meg H.

Yelp
Bartenders are awesome (wait staff too!) Food is consistently good and daily specials.

Paul J.

Yelp
I was immediately swept up in the warm and welcoming ambiance when I stepped into the Rising Eagle Publick House. This establishment in Melrose is not just a place to grab a bite and a pint; it's a delightful journey back to Revolutionary American history with a modern twist. One of the most impressive aspects of Rising Eagle is their excellent beer selection. As an avid beer enthusiast, I appreciate the freshness and variety offered here. The beer is perfectly chilled and served. The food is excellent. From the pretzels with beer cheese that come highly recommended to the ultimate comfort food of perfectly cooked French Onion Soup, Beef Grilled Cheese sandwich, and the tasty chicken wings that have a nice smoked flavor. The service at Rising Eagle deserves a special mention. The staff is helpful and genuinely friendly!

Yelp
Had my mother in laws 80th birthday at Upham room at Rising Eagle this past weekend and everything was amazing! Beautiful space, great food and accommodating service! Highly recommend for any event!

Adam M.

Yelp
Had an awesome time here! Cat (sp?) was our bartender and my friend Mark does food prep. and both drinks and food were amazing. Awesome beer selection (Mighty Squirrel and Fiddlehead as well as German beers for the season) and quick and friendly service. Not sure what the deal is with reviews around the mobile ordering as we got paper menus and paid with card so no issue there. Wednesday night earlier was popping considering and it's Melrose so can't expect a party nor minimal taxes/rules as it's a quiet town. Great experience and will be back! Don't skip on Turner's their sister restaurant across the street.

Stephen P.

Yelp
I really want to like this place... I really do... and I keep trying... They really want this "fast casual" service model to work, but nobody likes it. I don't think that's because the concept is bad, it's because the execution isn't there, and they've seemingly muddied the waters with at-the-table QR code ordering. . Give me a clear spot to place an order for my food and a drink, give me places to hang out with my drink while I wait (more high-top tables), and a place to mix and mingle in true publick house fashion (lounge chairs and couches maybe? longer tables that can be accessed easily from both sides? The layout is too crammed with chairs and booth-like benches). The food prices get out of control with the cost of add-ons to make an actual meal, and isn't matched by the quality of the food (which is good, but not commensurate with the prices).

Kellee F.

Yelp
I may have talked about this place before- it is a terrific place. Obviously very much frequented by the Melrosians. Staff it's terrific, personal, attentive- they do a fine job of balancing friendly interaction without prolongued time The food has been excellent each time we have been here. Shoutout to the tater tots!!! I am not generally a big fan of 'tater tot' but this restaurant has a fantastic, cheesy, crispy, mmm!, plate. As with the last time out cocktails we're beautifully balanced. I have become somewhat of a bourbon.lover - there were 2 of us-each of our drinks let the particular Bourbon 'shine'. The ambiance fits it's name - giving a good impression of an old colonial type Tavern. Definitely worth the time & a delight to our taste buds!

Yelp
Being new to the area I decided to pop in for a drink. I had a great beer & met a lovely bartender named Mikayla. A week later I stopped by again to have a bite to eat & sat at Mikaylas bar. I very much enjoyed her service as well as her food & drink suggestions. While observing Kathi caught my eye. She was so involved with the customers that I had to ask if she was the GM! Nope owner & a very lovely down to earth one it appeared. I was very impressed with both she & Mikayla. Definitely my kind of people & place!

Doug D.

Yelp
You have to scan a QR code to get to their online menu and then you have to submit place your own order online at the table. The server only brings food after you have done the ordering. If you want a second beverage, you have to go online again. I know that this may be the "hip" new trend, but I'm of the mind, if I wanted to be a waiter, I would apply go the job. I also find it annoying that after you have eaten that they don't clear the table until after you have assumed the role of cashier and checked yourself out. To top it off, their online system automatically adds a 15% tip. Quite frankly, shouldn't they be tipping me? It's pub food, you can get that anywhere and you don't have do their job.

Rose S.

Yelp
We frequently go to Rising Eagle, because we love the atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is always great. It's a great casual environment, where you catch up with friends, and move around to socialize. It's easy to just grab some appetizers, or have a full meal. Monday nights are always fun with live music! We like the self-ordering system, which makes it easy to start with appetizers, and add other items afterwards. Also, it's easy to order another drink, without waiting for a server to take an order. Always a fun and relaxing visit!

Mark S.

Yelp
A downtown that is void of American pubs and anything that's not pizza shops, Mexican restaurants and coffee shops, this place is a huge miss. We were there on a Thursday night. Completely dead on a warm night. Why? Pros Great great location Good food however not the most creative however that's fine as it's a pub Space. The bar is beautiful and is really eye pleasing. Cons - Weirdest ordering system I've ever seen. You'll have to see it to believe and everyone I know says it's just annoying. - music is nice however probably for a pub. Def not lively. - limiting drinks. Ridiculous melrose thing however nobody adheres to it except for here and Turners(same owner) And what is with this random 5% tax??? I feel like this is a great example of an owner out of touch w their patrons desires. Such a huge opportunity missed...

M M.

Yelp
First time customer at Rising Eagle. Growing up in Melrose many years ago it was a great trip down memory lane. The food was good!! I had the Thanksgiving turkey sandwich and enjoyed it. The wait staff and the young man at entrance are their best asset!! I would definitely return.

Rhys D.

Yelp
I liked the food here but the ordering system was so chaotic and confusing! Our order refused to process online but also claimed to have gone through without charging. The host was awesome, helping us order after seeing the technical difficulties we were experiencing! Would go back :)

T. C.

Yelp
Not trying to be picky.. "14 ounce glasses have been standard in the USA for decades.." The 14 ounce pour is equal to a 12 ounce bottle because of the "head" that is presented Have you seen a normal 16 ounce "thin" glass in other Melrose restaurants? Recommend you to try out 20 ounce glasses of Guinness at the Burren in Somerville .. or too scary ?.. 16 or 20 oz glasses for everything at the Horseshoe Pub in Hudson MA.. multiple draft choices too. Not being a beer snob.. just no return for a pint!

Helen H.

Yelp
Good place. Not anythign I would ask to come back again for given how many choices there are. Mac and cheese is fine, chicken skewers on the dry side, really good crab cakes, beef tenderloin was fine, stuffed fish was good with a side of veggies.

D P.

Yelp
Saw a mouse running back and forth during dinner for 90 minutes. Absolutely disgusting

Ian F.

Yelp
Went here due to the fact I had a gift card. Learned that everything was done through an app. Basically was told to order everything through here which is fine, but it allowed the waitress to become MIA. For example, back servers served the food then just basically scurried away. Felt like no one really cared about you. I ordered the Pot Roast and said to a back server, "We'll be sharing this" they basically were like "cool" and walked away. I ordered the berries and cream dessert. Picture on the app looked like it had a lot of berries and things on it. The dessert came out with 4 blueberries on it. The waitress didn't take the order for it, so she probably had no idea I had ordered it. I ate it because she was MIA again for around 15-20 minutes. Let her know as a precaution that it was a disappointment due to the fact it had 4 blueberries. Gave the waitress a below average tip since it felt like the app took away from the service and she really didn't do much for us and the app was most of what did the work. It felt like I was eating at a cafeteria.

Julie A.

Yelp
I like this pub. The ambiance/decor reminds me of a pub in England. The food is decent; haven't had a bad meal. The shepherd's pie I had was really good. What I don't like is the ordering part. I know it's tough getting help now a days but having to order from the stupid code or going up to the hostess booth is very frustrating and annoying. I go to a restaurant to be waited on, not having to get up and down every time I need a drink or to order something or to get the bill. I've tried on three occasions now to order from the code, put in all my info including the credit card, only to get an error message. Very frustrating. They really need to do away with this process. It takes away from the enjoyment and honestly, I won't go there as often as I would have if I got regular service.

L L.

Yelp
Went here a few times, I like the business concept. Come in, sit wherever you want, QR code with your phone to order, and pay on the phone when you're done. The kale pear salad with blue cheese (I think) was awesome, please don't take it off the menu :) Nice decoration, reminds me of our local history and old tavern used to be.

Jessica E.

Yelp
Love this restaurant so much as a part of our Melrose downtown! The ambience is great, very warm and cozy. My only feedback would be that there could be more fish and vegetarian lighter options on the menu, such as a veggie burger, or grilled vegetable sandwich or a hummus plate or poke stack!

David C.

Yelp
Great food and an awesome vibe. Really enjoyed our food. Their poutine is great but very different than what I've usually had, almost like a French onion soup variation.

Kerry S.

Yelp
I've been to Rising Eagle a few times and always thought the food was decent. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience there on our last visit. Their internet was down, which brought the entire restaurant to a screeching halt. I get it, things happen. We were told they expected to be back online in about 20 -25 minutes. We decided to wait as we were in no hurry, and no one in the family was starving. However, about 20 minutes later, a new customer walked in, and we overheard the hostess telling him that the kitchen was backed up because the internet had been down, and the wait time was at least another 45 minutes. Upon hearing this, we politely approached the hostess to ask if the 45 minutes were for anyone new coming in for dinner, or if it was an additional 45 minutes to begin seating anyone at all. At this point, the hostess became extremely defensive and asked us why we were angry with her. We responded that we were not angry but were simply seeking clarification so we could decide whether to stay or go elsewhere. She then, in an extremely rude tone, demanded that we explain what we thought she could do for us and insisted that the kitchen backup was "not her fault." As someone who also works in the service industry, her demeanor was shocking! We were in no way angry at her or thought she could somehow change the situation, but what she definitely could have done was keep her customers informed. A simple 'hey, we thought we'd be ready to seat people in 20 to 25 minutes, but it looks like the kitchen is backed up more than we realized. It is going to be an additional 45 minutes' - then we could decide to stay or leave. Basic communication really is part of the hostess job description; we weren't expecting anything above and beyond basic information. Needless to say, we will never be back. I cannot give my money to a business that allows such rude behavior.

Sandy P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, food and service. Plus easy to park. Also, elevators are available making it handicap accessible.

Benjamin E.

Yelp
I would like to leave a lower review, but I don't want to nuke what I still think could otherwise be a gem. I'm involved in the restaurant industry myself in NYC so I know a thing or two about it. Firstly Turners is one of my favorites around Boston. Was excited to see them open a sister restaurant across the street. I've been now several times to Rising, and there are some things they've got it down, and others are just unbelievably baffling a professional service outfit would do. The ambiance is top tier. Cozy with fireplaces in winter, beautiful wood, old art on wall. They've nailed it. Menu is varied and reasonable given location. I don't find it overpriced. Great rotating tap list. Excellent spirit selection. I discovered they have Maine Dinner on draft now which is incredible. The quality of the food is also very good. Maybe not great, but very good for sure, beats most other competitors in the area handily. For its target audience, it's perfect. They have live music often which is just awesome, and something we need to continue to support as a local Melrosian. Now onto the bad. My biggest issue and I think most others would agree, is the ordering/paying system. They've been trying to force this system on unhappy patrons for over a year now and IT DOESN'T WORK. I understand the QR code menu. But for fuck sake give me the waitstaff to take my order and pay my bill. Or have us pay up front after. The idea of manually putting in my cc info to the website is beyond toxic. I want to sit for a meal and converse, not feel like I'm in the office. I'm not clear why they continue do persist with this insane ordering system when every other restaurant post COVID has actual wait staff to take orders and accept payment. How can I get waiters recommendations? Are they trying to save money with less staff? Trying a little too hard to be cool and trendy? On top of it the app has crashed several times when I try to place an order on a special. Give me a fucking break. It would be such a shame to see this place disappear on account of such an easy fix. I've no idea what the hell the owner is thinking. Obviously Turners is run quite well, it doesn't make sense. I've discussed this with several others and it's unanimous agreement that we generally really like Rising but avoid more than often as we don't feel like going through with the ordering system. Or having to walk up to the bar and flag the bartender down if we want to place an order through a real person. Get your act together guys!

Yelp
I called to order my food and the woman on the other end stated somebody just placed that same order. Come to find out that my daughter had called in the order. That right off the bat said something about their customer service. I then went and picked my food up and the young lady who helped me was amazing. Talking to me about other foods they have and some of her favorite ones. I was very impressed with her and wanted to make sure i took a menu. My sandwiches were ready and I went home with expectations of a great sandwich. Well my expectations were met, plus some. We got the Thanksgiving sandwiches. I was very happy with my food and the serving size was incredible, could only eat half the sandwich. They were to die for. I will probably order from them again.

Yelp
Alright, let me begin by saying I had sworn to never go to the Rising Eagle. The concept of waiting on line, ordering at a bar, and then self-seating felt a bit fast-food for an establishment of this caliber. However, my husband and I gave it a shot tonight as it was not too crowded. We were pleasantly surprised! We reviewed the menu outside before entering. Upon going inside, the hostess welcomed us and explained the concept. We walked up to the bar/Order Here sign and placed our orders. We got: -avocado toast -wings -Balt sandwich -burger -mead -soda -dessert Walking from the bar with drinks was a bit inconvenient as I did spill some of my beverage all over my hand. Other than that, we found a table and had a seat. The wooden spoon was our tab number and our waitress was lovely. The moment you enter the dining room area, it becomes a traditional restaurant experience. Everything we had was delicious! That was a well welcomed treat. Our bill total was $65. FINAL THOUGHTS: - food is good! - ambiance and decor are great. - service was great. - I would HATE to come here on a busy night as The system does not seem convenient for customers who must wait until tables begin clearing up. -We will definitely return but on a quiet night.
