This review is for the wonderful dinner we had at the restaurant with our friends a week ago. Ambiance is always perfect for conversation; also elegant without being stuffy or theatrical. Great place for a business meal or simply a solid dinner. Every single thing we ate was delicious. We had eggplant appetizer, lobster, spaghetti with clams, branzino al cartoccio…gelato, chocolate dome, etc. It was all delicious. Very good wine list too. Best service from Nicola ALWAYS! He’s a gem. Already planning a comeback. Note: another reviewer noted that people were being rude and staring at them and incredibly, we did experience this same weird behaviour. The table next to us kept their attention and eyes literally fixated at us. Rude and weird. LOL. Nothing the restaurant can do or be faulted about.

The food was truly exceptional, the best meal I tried in the WHOLE Italy so far ❤️ the stuff was welcoming, the food was great, lights and music was quiet enough to make an intimate atmosphere, I would rate this place 1000/10 and especially want to admit how attentive and helpful was our waiter Jean Pierre :)

I was there for dinner I could say that it’s the best one in Milan I have ever tried it ! Service was elegant! and food was flavorful! I would definitely go back for dinner again for sure 👍🏼

Everything about this place is excellent. Upon my arrival it was a bit “awkward” but as the evening progressed it felt like I was right at home. I attended with my mother to end our two week stay touring Italy, and I’m glad I chose this place. Our waiter was excellent and charming. I wish I got his name. We were also greeted by a woman with an Afro puff ponytail. Very lovely woman who also gave me their business cards with their other locations. One is in Beverly Hills which I will check out. We got the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Absolutely worth the price. My mother enjoyed everything from beginning to end which is all that mattered to me. When I arrive in Milan I will be back to this place. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of were the other people in attendance which has nothing to do with the restaurant. The looks I received from other people (who again are NOT the staff) I found distasteful. Some of these tourists are so rude and need a lesson in manners 😒

We had a family dinner at this restaurant. My daughter and I were charmed by the staff and level of service. The staff did not leave our side for a long time, always trying to anticipate our wishes. They were very nice and friendly from the moment we arrived until the end of our dinner. Everything we tried was beyond praise. Excellent Italian cuisine! Everything was perfectly cooked, the octopus and beef in the pasta were very soft and tender! Amazingly delicious pasta, artichokes, desserts! Excellent selection of wines! We were very pleased! Next time we are in Milan, we will definitely have dinner here!

Reserved this restaurant for an anniversary. First noted the very luxury style decoration, the environment was very amazing. The waiters were absolutely fantastic, especially Nikola (our waiter who was the funniest waiter I have ever seen). Food was delicious and at the end we got a surprise for our anniversary as a plate with "happy anniversary" written in chocolate and a candle. The sommelier was also very professional with the wine list and provided us with excellent wines with our foods. We loved it and will for sure come back for another fantastic dinner. Thank you.

Delicious food. Not busy on rainy Tuesday night. Traditional restaurant with a class. Silent music and atmosphere I did like. The pasta 🍝 with octopus was very tasty and love their home made bread. Tastes better then looks. Nice piccola pasticceria 🥐 free of charge with your coffee. Big selection of high quality wine. I could enjoy my red wine 🍷 without the headache the next day. Highly recommend .

Went to celebrate a birthday here and we booked the course menu on the fork. It came with an aperitif before and then dinner in the restaurant. Amazing food quality and wonderful ambiance. Had a very pleasant experience, if you’re looking for a good meal with special treatment I recommend.

Excellent restaurant attached to the Hotel Principe. Winner of a Michelin star in 2021 this hotel has a tasting menu and a full ala carte selection. Excellent service. Full wine menu and bar as expected. The reds my reservation and catered to my vegetarian palate. Food service was spot on. The artichokes were very good. Every step of the dinner was timed perfectly. Eggplant Parmesan was tasty and just the right size. Grilled vegetables were actually grilled. This is something that is seemingly a bridge too far in Italy but they got it right! Great ambiance. Perfect place for a date night.

We came to celebrate my birthday... made a ressie, got seated quickly and enjoyed our 2.5 hours of eating... it's not our first rodeo... we've been eating at Michelin star spots every time we do our girls trip. We also know NOT all Michelin star restaurants are created equal... the service can make or break your night. We got a wonderful and funny waiter and he made our night. He was efficient, attentive without being overbearing... which we like, give us space to talk and enjoy our food. The look and feel of the restaurant is a little old school but vibrant. It's connected to a hotel, the bathroom is pretty (reminded me of Le Cinq in Paris at George V hotel). We did the tasting menu €110 a pop. We don't drink, so got sparkling water. The food was a solid 3.5/5. Some were definitely hits and some were a bit "meh... could be better". Love the one bite starter... fried pizza, and the anchovies! Love how they prepared it. They also served Wagyu in the tasting menu... our waiter was really excited for us to try it... We smiled and said "wow, that sounds amazing"... we didn't have the heart to tell him... we've consumed way too many Wagyu, Kobe, A5 in our Japan travel and almost OD in a AYCE Wagyu restaurant... lol Their signature pasta, octopus with spaghetti was ok... very rich but the spaghetti was too al dente for me... my friends enjoyed it. The beef Wellington was ok, could use better pastry... it was a bit too doughy for me. The chessboard was a fun piece, filled with chocolate liquors. Not for me but friends liked it. Overall a good meal and would recommend for others!

My wife and I ate at Acanto on the first night of our honeymoon and truly set very high expectations from the start! The service at Acanto was some of the best we've had in Italy; it felt as good as any Michelin star experience we've had. Our food was incredibly good, I loved the Risotto Milanese and our wine selection helped by their sommelier was fantastic.

Just ok. Michelin must have had a tough year in 2022. This restaurant was beautiful, service was decent (not great) and the food was average. Lamb chops were like what I make at home, not what you'd pay big money to eat out for. Wine list was 69 pages long. Pasta dish was boring and flavorless. Very disappointed after spending 585 euros.

The dinner here was perfect. I wouldn't change anything about it! The ambiance was wonderful as well. A very nice room for a long dinner. The lights pulled out the intricate shapes in the terraced ceilings. Appetizer: Flatbread and butter First Course: Seared Langoustine (a Norway lobster) with peach gazpacho, tomato mouse and mint Second Course: Risotto with lemon topped with scallop carpaccio and traditional Calvisius caviar. Third Course: Beef filet with potatoes au gratin spinach and Madeira sauce. Dessert Course 1: Strawberry Mouse with pistachio and yogurt ice cream Dessert Course 2: Petit Fours The staff was on point the entire time and we only had one main course dish that did not come out with everything else. Very impressive for such a large party. Thanks again to the staff who put together this amazing dinner. I would love to come back and join you again!

Acanto is located in the Hotel Principe Di Savoia, one of the Dorchester Collection owned by an arm of the Ministry of Finance of Brunei. Dorchester Collection owns and manages 9 luxury hotels including The Dorchester (London), The Beverly Hills Hotel, and the Plaza Athénée (Paris). Though we had a good meal, with good service, the cooking was very old school, as was the hotel. I have stayed at this hotel many years ago and little has changed. There were few people dining the night that we were there. Perhaps it was because of the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei decision to stone gay people? Had we known that he owned this property, we would have not had dinner there. We learned this upon departing the hotel which made us feel quite ill.

Ok Yelpers lets get with it. Only 2 reviews on this great restaurant? Really!! It's in one of the best hotels you can stay in and if you want to be treated like royalty and eat like a king. This is the place for you. Everything food wise is top notch. From the bread to the butter to the olive oil. the Chefs plate and every ingredient in every dish. Our food and drinks were outstanding our service was the best ever. Everybody in the whole restaurant is professional efficient and super friendly. We felt like we were family. Our Sommelier picked out great wines to match with my food and finished me off with a great desert wine and Grappa. By the way the stem wear is the best I've ever seen. Ordering some of the scotch and grappa glasses for myself. Oh and the inside of the restaurant is beautiful and quiet. What more can you ask for? We are going for the second night in a row. That's how good we think it is.

How can anyone from anywhere not rate this 5 stars plus???? Absolutely perfect. I guess if price is the only factor, there are cheaper alternatives near by. I had their house specialty pasta with octopus and the veal dish-each was perfect. I live in San Francisco five months a year and regularly eat in Manhattan, rarely have I seen such a fine restaurant in a Hotel worldwide!!!
