We sought out this Trattoria as part of our quest to visit the Buon Ricordo restaurants. An adventure by train and bus from Venezia, we arrived to find a bustling neighborhood restaurant filled with families enjoying their Sunday supper. The meal was wonderful from start to finish. Solid country fare, nothing nouveau, but wonderful and worth the trip outside the city. The wine list was extensive, and we choose a favorite Luce from 1996 that was delicious. We started with appetizers of zucchini flower that was hearty and goose liver that was delicate. Our primi was a pumpkin gnocchi sprinkled with smoked pecorino that melted in your mouth. The "plate" dish was a special local recipe of chicken marinated in red wine, served with polenta and a side of pasta in a light butter and sausage sauce. Our other main was slow roasted Veal in a wine reduction sauce. We ended with cappuccino and cookies, full, happy, and carrying our latest plate featuring a drunken chicken!
