Glam Enrico Bartolini

"The discreet, partially hidden entrance to Palazzo Venart opens into what is a rarity in Venice – a small but charming garden with beautiful furniture in what is a genuine orangery. A second garden overlooks the Grand Canal and offers tables where, in summer, guests can enjoy a coffee or liqueur after their meal. Nestled between these two gardens, a magnificent hotel is home to the restaurant itself, where Michelin-starred chef Enrico Bartolini and the highly talented resident chef Donato Ascani offer guests a fine-dining experience. There are two tasting menus: “Arte, orti e laguna” which features dishes that pay tribute to Venice and its culinary traditions, and “I Classici del Glam”, showcasing iconic dishes from the chef’s long career. Every course is prepared with the chef’s natural instinct for care and passion and is full of intense and harmonious flavours. The option of arriving here by boat makes this restaurant even more exclusive." - Michelin Inspector

23 Best Restaurants in Venice

"As of 2019, chef Enrico Bartolini racked up six Michelin stars across his five restaurants; GLAM, his Venice outpost (and presently the hottest dining ticket in the city) has one. Carrying through Bartolini’s contemporary culinary vision here is resident chef Donato Ascani. You can go with the seasonally shifting à la carte list, but tasting menus (from €120) are more exciting. Dishes reveal themselves to be beautifully balanced: substance and not just flashy presentation." - Anne Hanley

An unforgettable evening at Glam di Enrico Bartolini - a Michelin 2-star gem that truly lived up to the hype. From the first bite to the last, every dish was thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Not a single miss - and many absolute standouts. The service was warm, gracious, and attentive throughout. It was the most comfortable Michelin meal we've had. It felt like we can relax and be ourselves without the pretentious vibe and yet stay elegant! Compliment to the team and how welcoming they are to my daughter! My 7 year old daughter was treated like a princess with her own special pasta (which she said was the best pasta ever!) and dessert, and even got to meet the chef behind this extraordinary meal! One of the best Michelin meals we've ever had - refined, elegant, and full of delightful surprises. Already dreaming of coming back someday.

We visited Ristorante Glam in Venice for lunch and chose the classic tasting menu — and we were genuinely impressed. This is not just a meal, but a gastronomic experience where every course is crafted with precision. The cuisine blends tradition and creativity beautifully — nothing flashy, just deep, confident flavors and great respect for local ingredients. The seafood dishes were particularly memorable, and the pasta was delicate yet full of character. Wine was perfectly matched — each glass enhanced the dish, and the sommelier’s recommendations were spot-on: professional, low-key, and confident. We came during the day, and the dining room was bright and filled with natural light. It created an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere — refined but never stiff. Service was outstanding — attentive without being intrusive, with a natural sense of pace. And most surprisingly — we left full and satisfied! That’s not something you expect from fine dining. The portions, though refined, were generous and thoughtfully structured across the menu. Yes, it’s expensive. But the quality, creativity, and overall experience fully justify the price. If you view cuisine as a form of art, this is absolutely one of the must-visit restaurants in Venice — whether for a special lunch or dinner. Prise for 2 persons

A Marvellous Time at Glam – Culinary Art in Venice Glam is a true two-star Michelin gem in the heart of Venice. We had a Marvellous time here – an experience as memorable as it was delicious! Chef Donato Ascani is a fountain of creativity, and each plate is a perfect fusion of culinary artistry and visual beauty – like edible paintings. One of the highlights was a stunning seiche (cuttlefish) from the lagoon, a cold soup of local herbs and delicate edible flowers – an ode to the territory. The welcome bites were plentiful, refined, and bursting with flavor. Every element, from the amuse-bouches to the desserts, confirmed the two-star Michelin rating is more than deserved. Thank you to Chef Ascani and his brilliant team for such a delightful evening. Another outstanding address under the guidance of the ever-impressive Chef Enrico Bartolini.

We visited glam for our anniversary and I’m afraid the experience wasn’t fully to our satisfaction. First off the room isn’t particulate pleasant - we were sat at an awkwardly large round table and had to move our chairs closer to be able to talk to each other. The room itself isn’t particularly pleasant with a wallpaper of questionable taste, where we’d expect a cosy and warm atmosphere this felt rather cold and sad. The service was fantastic but the dishes were hit and miss. At over €300 per person one expects perfection on all aspects and this wasn’t it.

Outstanding service and out of this world creativities! We were there to celebrate my wife birthday, the staff were so welcoming and foods were unbelievably delicious (plus presentations were amazingly beautiful). In the end, chef came out to chat with us, then we had a few fun photos with chef and staff. Truly a very memorable experience!

Amazing amuse bouches and starters, innovative flavors and cooking, beautiful presentation, gracious service with attention to details all set in an elegantly decorated room looking out to a charming garden. The main course lamb chop was very special, it’s the best I’ve had. The experience is truly Michelin worthy.

One of the best Michelin restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. The combination of flavors and textures was simply satisfying. The wine was spectacular, and the service was impeccable. We opted for the classic menu, and we were thoroughly satisfied and left feeling full. Thank you so much for your exceptional service and creative cuisine.

Located in the heart of Venezia, Michelin Two-Star Glam Restaurant offers an experience that combines beautiful presentations with an overwhelming and busy decoration. The restaurant boasts a stunning ambiance, but unfortunately, falls short in certain aspects. One of the main disappointments of Glam Restaurant is the utilization of cheap ingredients in some of their dishes. Although they are beautifully presented, it is disheartening to discover that the quality of the ingredients does not match the visual appeal. This aspect certainly detracts from the overall dining experience. The restaurant's decor, while aiming for an opulent and extravagant atmosphere, can feel a bit overwhelming. The excessive adornments and busy design can sometimes distract from the focus on the food and create a sense of chaos. A more restrained and elegant approach to the interior design could greatly enhance the dining experience and allow the dishes to shine. On a positive note, the staff at Glam Restaurant is attentive and accommodating. The service provided is professional and friendly, ensuring guests feel welcomed and taken care of throughout their visit. The staff's knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations adds to the overall positive impression of the restaurant. However, one drawback that cannot be overlooked is the menu pricing. While it is expected for a Michelin-rated establishment to have higher prices, Glam Restaurant seems to veer towards the overpriced side. The combination of cheap ingredients and inflated costs can leave diners feeling a sense of disappointment and dissatisfaction. Despite the flaws, it is important to note that some dishes at Glam Restaurant are undeniably beautiful in their presentation. The meticulous attention to detail in the plating is evident, showcasing the chef's artistic skills.

Yelp
Every so often you come across a meal that is deserving of a 5 star and this was one of those meals for me. From service to progression and taste. It touches all your sensors. Atmosphere is comfortable. Attention is only when needed. It's kid friendly with offerings for you little ones. It's hard to find any Michelin restaurants that's kid friendly. Food itself was delicious and stunning to look some dishes are playful where you have to search for your item.

Yelp
I enjoyed a solo lunch here last week. The staff is knowledgeable, passionate, and interactive. The setting is that of a fairytale, the preparation of the dishes is that of a master chef. You can't do any better in Venice and, as you might imagine, you can't find anything remotely similar to Glam in the United States. Though this will be a 3+ hour affair, the time could not possibly be better spent.

Yelp
What a night! The place was gorgeous. You get buzzed in and walk through a garden to get to the door. Such a quiet space after the hustle of Venice. The staff is amazing. From being seated to the very end they were attentive to our needs, bringing us napkins for the changing courses. Refilling our water, and suggesting wine that was perfectly paired with the food we were eating. The sommelier was so very kind and my husband got the wine pairing with our tasting. We got the Arte, Orti and Laguna tasting. The food was so incredibly fresh. I'm not a huge seafood person, but this was next level. So well paired with the fresh herbs and veggies. I could not stop eating. I have been to a Michelin star restaurant before, and this does not disappoint! The service, the ambiance and the food itself was outstanding. It's worth the cost for the experience!

Yelp
Wonderful experience. Incredible food, friendly staff and warm ambiance. The food was presented beautifully and each dish was an experience. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Venice. I sadly don't remember the names of the dishes I ate but I do remember getting a wonderful beet risotto and beef tartare. They also provided a chocolate dessert for my boyfriends birthday free of charge - so sweet!

Yelp
Like most places of this calibre, this was planned some time ago and with allot of assistance. I don't think I would've found this without assistance. Overall ambiance was beautiful, their timing of their service is impeccable and our server is just so charming. The pour of the wine was very generous, and their food presentation is exquisite. I would love to return next time I'm in Italy.

Yelp
My wife and I had lunch with our son and his girlfriend to celebrate his birthday at Ristorante Glam. The restaurant is a modern space with a wall of windows overlooking the courtyard of the Palazzo Venart. We were fortunate to enjoy a beautiful, sunlit day and the best meal that we've ever had. We chose the "Glam's classics" tasting menu: A game of tastes and consistencies Acquadelle fish with sauces Green beans, pecorino and mint Lamb tongue, sea snails and green sauce Cuttlefish chargrilled Lukewarm spaghetti, shrimps and sesame Juniper risotto, rabbit kidney and chicory water Pigeon, laurel and shallot Predessert Birthday cake As expected, every dish prepared by Chef Donato Ascani was beautifully presented, extremely creative and absolutely delicious. He clearly enjoys creating food that is fun to look at and fun to eat. Each and every dish truly represented Venice. It was also our great pleasure to meet sommelier Ottavio Venditto, who served as our host for most of our meal and directed the excellent, personable staff. He proposed that we begin our meal with a spumante, Le Colture Rive di Santo Stefano-Gerardo Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. Extra Brut, which was delicious. He left me with the wine list, but when he returned, I told him that we wanted to drink only local wines and especially wanted to try the only truly Venetian wine, which is made from the Dorona grape. Thankfully, the restaurant had it and we got to enjoy a bottle of golden-hued 2015 Venissa Bianco. After we finished it, Ottavio recommended an orange-hued 2014 Gravner Venezia Giulia, which is made from another native Italian grape, Ribolla Gialla. Finally, we enjoyed our dessert with golden 2019 Petrussa Pensiero Venezia Giulia, which is made from yet another native Italian grape, Verduzzo Friulano. At the end of our meal, Ottavio said, "Thank you for trusting me with the wines." Believe me when I say that our trust was very well rewarded. If you have the good fortune to enjoy a meal at Ristorante Glam, I highly recommend that you, too, place your trust in Ottavio.

Yelp
Finding the place on a dark rainy night was a bit of a challenge. It's on a hotel property behind an imposing iron gate, locked, with a small poorly lit buzzer for the restaurant (also one for the hotel). One presses the buzzer, lights glare from above a speaker to allow someone on the other end to see who is pressing the button. Once I said I had a restaurant reservation, someone buzzed the gate open. It's a cozy space, around 9 tables. The meal begins with a half-dozen canapés before the menu is presented. They have an a la carte and two tasting menus. The first tasting menu has a loose description. The second one is whatever the chef feels like making: everything a surprise. My first course was a "wow!" dish. It was a plate of around a dozen very small crispy-fried fish from the lagoon accompanied by around two-dozen dollops of different sauces It was a delightful kaleidoscope of flavors and colors. This was followed by a hot cucumber salad and egg yolk. These were excellent. The salad included some bitter micro greens that worked very well with the cucumber and the yogurt based dressing. The third course was artichokes, foie gras, and truffles. A very tasty combination of earthy flavors. The unspoken theme of the menu was beginning to appear to be sea and earth. Next, grilled eel with a horseradish sauce and a parsley sauce as well as micro greens and Belgian endive. It was delicious. Course #5 was grilled cuttlefish, a breaded and fried cuttlefish head, and cauliflower cooked in vinegar. I really liked the cauliflower but only ate half of the squid. It was prepared well but I've never been much of a squid fan. They next presented a dish with spaghettini, shrimp, mussels, scallions, and caviar. I greatly enjoyed it. The flavors mixed very well. The next course was pigeon. It came with a couple different sauces, one with a bit of spicy flavor the other with a raspberry flavor. The preparation and presentation were excellent; unfortunately, I am not much of a pigeon fan. Finally, dessert was a lemon ice cream with some sort of cookie crumbles. Not spectacular, but a sweet finish. It was followed by a half-dozen petit fours which ranged from a "modernist tiramisu" to a small cube of chocolate covered red berry ice cream. They finished the meal nicely. Service was terrible: friendly, attentive, fast. The pacing of the courses was just right. If you are willing to splurge on Michelin two-star prices, I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Ristorante Glam - world-class mastery of flavor and culinary artistry Recently (28/6/2023), my wife and I with two other couples dined at Chef Patron Enrico Bartolini's Ristorante Glam, located in the elegant Palazzo Venart. The ambience exudes elegance (stunning glass artwork by Massimo Lunardon) and intimacy, limited to 8 tables. The dining area overlooks a serene and lush Venetian Garden, in stark contrast to the bustle and din of Venice. We savored the eight-course tasting menu. Highlights included an eclectic collection of cicchetti entitled "a game of tastes and consistencies" (a tasty, chawanmushi-like savory custard served in a truncated eggshell cup; fragrant and tasty black truffle; raw cuttlefish with caviar, gilded with edible gold leaf; fresh mussels, peeled broad bean pods, accented with delicate white flowers in a custard froth; fried cuttlefish bones with even more caviar; and sliced, pesce crudo in a tiny bun draped with a ribbon of dried seaweed); fried Aquadelle (sand smelt) each with a dab of assorted sauces, adorned with brilliantly colored flowers, and arranged like a school of smelt swimming across the plate, a zenith of culinary creativity; delicious, fresh cuttlefish smoked with myrtle, which lent a spicy, citrusy, and slightly bitter flavor; hearty spaghetti with shrimps in cuttlefish ink and sesame; and tender breast of squab in a rich brown demi-glace. Kudos to restaurant manager Davide Bravetti, sommelier par excellence Ottavio Venditto, and Chef Donato Ascani, who graciously visited our table. With his creative artistry, mastery of flavor and cooking technique, Ristorante Glam truly deserves its Michelin 2-star distinction. We look forward to our next visit.

Yelp
A contemporary Venetian restaurant, hidden down one of the ubiquitous alleys - luckily I was able to find it during daylight hours, before my Sunday night dinner. For my tasting menu, the excellent taste, presentation of each plate was complimented by almost perfect service. The only compilant remains with the sommelier, as his actions unfortunately detracted from the outstanding food and efforts by the other staff: With only seven guests at three separate tables, all of us ordered the "Art, gardens and lagoon," tasting menu, and all with wine pairing. However, for some reason, I was the only one served a local beer as a selection, also, one wine was lazily presented twice for two different courses. And, unforgivably, he completelty forgot to bring my wine for the dessert course. I had to ask another server, and finally recieved a simple Port to accompany my petit fours. Perhaps this was due to my dress, which I confirmed was appropriate before I entered the restaurant. Not the service expected at a Michelin starred restaurant. I hope this is addressed. 2019 10 06.
