The 14 Best Dishes to Eat in Sardinia | Eater

"A Catalan-influenced lobster stew featuring female lobsters with their red roe, briefly steamed and served with a simple tomato-and-onion sauce and a bright emulsion of olive oil, lemon, and black pepper to keep the preparation clean and seafood-forward." - Viviana Devoto

Google
Restaurant with a beautiful location and sea view. Very clean and tidy, the atmosphere is relaxing and all the staff is smiling and welcomes you with kindness. Great food with high quality products. Advice

We had pasta with lobster and pasta with scallops. Scallops were so overcooked, they were a bit gummy and without taste. The lobster was also very overcooked and you get the parts with the least meat. Pasta con lobster was also very dry. There was a drop of some greenish sauce that no one explained what it was. The waiters were way too present, constantly passing by and checking. They didn't explain dishes nor asked how everything was. They also took pur plates and bread as soon as we ate the last bite. There is also no possibility of ordering wine by glass, only a bottle. The food was not bad, but not great, especially since these ingredients really need to be cooked perfectly, the portions were very small and the bill was 90 euros for 2 pasta dishes, wine and water. We will not be coming back. Not great, not terrible, but definitely overpriced for the poor execution of the dishes.

The atmosphere of a restaurant depends not only on the food, but also on the way guests are treated. Sadly, the waitresses here seemed more interested in showing attitude than hospitality. Their unfriendly tone and lack of warmth turned what could have been a nice evening into a disappointing experience. A smile and a little kindness would have made all the difference.

The food was quite good but overpriced for the experience. It was lovely to sit outside and eat in October. Service was okay but not as friendly as other restaurants we visited in the area.

First of all you clearly tell the restaurant is focused mainly on lobster; not being fan of it we decided to opt for different “recommended from the chef options” and the food overall was underwhelming. Risotto venere was bland , tuna with sesame seeds over cooked and tough. Service was pleasant and everyone was very friendly but clearly tired for the busy period of ferragosto. All in all a decent place with great location;perhaps if I took the lobster it would have been a different experience.

The food might be acceptable, but the service was truly disappointing. The waitresses were unfriendly, with a cold and sometimes rude tone of voice that made us feel uncomfortable rather than welcome. Instead of a pleasant dining experience, we felt as if we were bothering them just by being there.

The food was a good standard and very delicious and value for money. I personally found the serving staff a little inexperienced as they stood far too close whilst I was eating. The continuous talking amongst waiters was a big distraction as I was trying to enjoy an quiet meal with the wife. The waiter also grabbed my plate without checking if I was finished with my main. We chose not to stay for desert. The above reasons I could only give a 3 out of 5.

The staff was extremely unwelcoming. Demanded we order a main course even though we were not hungry and just wanted to drink some coffee and wine and have some snacks. Even after we decided to eat and not leave, the waiters kept circling around the table and making us feel unwelcome.

Yelp
Don't waste your money very disappointing & expensive. My advice to visitors to alghero is go up one of the small back streets in where there are much better restaurants & not as pricey as down by the water. If you like pizza..La lantern has good pizza & menu with decent wine & is much better value.
