The restaurant is in a lovely Art-Nouveau building, surrounded by greenery. I love the style of this place, not super fancy just classic elegance! Venanzio is a passionate and very capable chef, the restaurant always hits the spot!! I have been to Venanzio for several occasions an it's always perfect. The quality f the food, the staff is very attentive and makes you feel comfortable right away, the wine list seriously satisfying for both amateurs and experts.
The food changes seasonally and the chef cooks traditional recipes with a personal touch. The ‘bollito with mostarda’ (a speciality of northern Italian cooking) is amazing, as well as his Risotto, or his gelato, or his famous panettone during Christmas. The list could be endless.
If you go do not forget to try the homemade vanilla ice cream (gelato), freshly prepared and served with different toppings (dark chocolate from the Lind Factory down the road), caramel and amarene Fabbri which you can pour to taste on your ice cream.
The dinner finishes with a lollies and chocolate trolley with so many flavours and types of treats!
I highly recommend to try this place if you are in the area especially as a tourist you will be able to taste the real northern cuisine surrounded by locals!!
