One super great Italian restaurant!! We ate 2 nights in a row there because we liked the food so much! Everything we ate was excellent. The wine also was so fine! The service was fast and super nice. We did not have reservation but they did their best to find us a table. I totally recommend it.

i cannot stress how much i love this place! i have come here many times and it was always so perfect. everyone visiting bologna should go here.

Pasta is exceptional , wine choice is extensive. The fiortina steak (t-bone) was just ok mainly due to average quality which meant it lacked flavour and had a lot of fat on the both edges of the sirloin and filet side , also could have been rested longer to allow for better distribution of flavour. However for the price this was very good value and only steak experts might opine like I do.

Located on one end of the city. I’m glad the taxi knew where to drop us off. Dinner was excellent. Pasta fresh and the steak cooked to perfection. The desserts were really good. Nice wine list. I’d recommend this restaurant

Excellent quality steak. The price is per kg, 2 people 1kg of meat... I was hungry and the doubt remains!! it wasn't a 1kg of meat..... maybe a gourmet bistec lol. The place is pleasant, the service is excellent in a city with a lot to see and enjoy.

Serendipity can be a wonderful thing. December 25 is not a great night to find dinner reservations in Italy or anyplace in the Christian world. Some cities in Europe are shuttered on the 25th and 26th. A restaurant online reservation service helped me find Posta. Mille Grazie! The cute white and bright rooms are lovely in a very organic way. There's a simplicity about Posta I love. The women at the front, all the servers, reverberate with hospitality. Even on Christmas, they seemed to love what they do. I felt so welcomed, even with no Italian language skills. Shame on me! Food was absolutely delicious. Our pastas, cacio e pepe and tagliatelle in a rich boar ragu, were some of the best anywhere. The steak, something I will order in the US, Japan, South America, but rarely in Europe, was tender and savory, cooked in the Florentine style. The area around Florence is famous for beef cooked over an open flame. Posta is a Florentine restaurant. Motto bene! Desserts, usually not an Italian restaurant specialty, were perfect. A complimentary pour of grappa enhanced my jet lag, and by the time I was finished with dinner, I could have slept under the table at Posta. When the check arrived, I argued about the low price. No, we had two glasses of wine, two cocktails, two pastas, steak for two, salad, and two desserts. The bill has to be more than 104 Euros! What, huh, it must be a mistake. I was hoping Posta would be open for New Year's Eve. Alas, no. But what a fantastic first night, Christmas, in Italy. Grazie mille Ristorante Posta!

Don't miss it!!! Beautiful restaurant in downtown Bologna, warm ambience ,excellent wine list and fabulous food. I had artichokes salad , egg soufflé with truffle,home made tortellini and delicious tagliata steak ! Two sisters own this fabulous restaurant! Complements!!! I can't wait to come back

Actually this was the most disappointing meal of our five nights in Bologna. The service was lousy. The pasta was OK. But we ordered a steak for two and it was raw. We couldn't eat it so we asked them to make it more well done. They brought it back and it was still inedible. We actually walked down independence to find a bigger and his dog to give the steak to the dog. Need I say more.
