One of Italian restaurant with classic humble warm ambience, we can reserve table for dinner early at 7.30pm for 10-15 person, great fiorentina meat 😋🫶

Ristorante Posta is, hands down, the best spot we hit in Bologna — top-notch food, flawless service, and an atmosphere that just hugs you in all the right ways. We ordered the Florentine steak, and holy cow (literally) — it was pure magic. Melted on the tongue, cooked so perfectly it almost made us emotional. Sadly, it was our last night in Bologna… otherwise, we’d probably still be sitting there, ordering “just one more” steak until they kicked us out.

This nice quiet place meets Michelin standards. Fast reservation response, very friendly welcoming, good English, trying to meet special allergy requirements. Amazing food for very reasonable prices, highly recommend to visit :).

High quality meal out and thoroughly recommended to anybody stopping in the area. Party of two and visited on a midweek evening - we did book and was easy to do so online, but would have probably been okay as a walk-in midweek, relaxed atmosphere. We are currently in the early stages of learning Italian, and the staff were super friendly both generally, and helping us speak in Italian. The millefoglie dessert was a personal highlight!

Disclaimer - I’m from Texas visiting Italy. Not an expert on Italian cuisine. The tortellini cream dish was very good. All else was average or below average. Tagliatelle bolognese was underwhelming. The steak slices lacked flavor. The salad was good. Chocolate cake was dry. Overall food was 3/5 and service and ambiance 5/5. But at the end of the day I’m here for food so would not be back due to average taste.

One super great Italian restaurant!! We ate 2 nights in a row there because we liked the food so much! Everything we ate was excellent. The wine also was so fine! The service was fast and super nice. We did not have reservation but they did their best to find us a table. I totally recommend it.

Had a lovely, flavorful dinner at Posta! We wanted to experience the food scene in Bologna and were so happy we chose to dine here. The overall atmosphere felt very upscale and felt like a great location for a romantic dinner. We started with the antipasti di cacciagione and flan di pecorino - we thoroughly enjoyed both. Then we had the pici al rigatino e cacio e pepe e crudo and a floretina steak, which were stellar! The steak was perfectly cooked. Both dishes were large portions too! Although we were super full, we decided to try dessert and that was the only time we remembered to take photos! We decided to order a nice bottle of wine and their selection was extensive - so many great options.

Food was amazing. Service was not so great. I had to flag someone don everyone wine glass was empty. I saw the sever and maybe manager/owner ask erect table around how their food was was but I was ignored. Besides my original order I never saw my server again.

Delicious food, warm attentive service and welcoming atmosphere. Food was beautifully and tastefully prepared. Everything was fork ready, no additional seasoning necessary. 5 star service.

Serendipity can be a wonderful thing. December 25 is not a great night to find dinner reservations in Italy or anyplace in the Christian world. Some cities in Europe are shuttered on the 25th and 26th. A restaurant online reservation service helped me find Posta. Mille Grazie! The cute white and bright rooms are lovely in a very organic way. There's a simplicity about Posta I love. The women at the front, all the servers, reverberate with hospitality. Even on Christmas, they seemed to love what they do. I felt so welcomed, even with no Italian language skills. Shame on me! Food was absolutely delicious. Our pastas, cacio e pepe and tagliatelle in a rich boar ragu, were some of the best anywhere. The steak, something I will order in the US, Japan, South America, but rarely in Europe, was tender and savory, cooked in the Florentine style. The area around Florence is famous for beef cooked over an open flame. Posta is a Florentine restaurant. Motto bene! Desserts, usually not an Italian restaurant specialty, were perfect. A complimentary pour of grappa enhanced my jet lag, and by the time I was finished with dinner, I could have slept under the table at Posta. When the check arrived, I argued about the low price. No, we had two glasses of wine, two cocktails, two pastas, steak for two, salad, and two desserts. The bill has to be more than 104 Euros! What, huh, it must be a mistake. I was hoping Posta would be open for New Year's Eve. Alas, no. But what a fantastic first night, Christmas, in Italy. Grazie mille Ristorante Posta!

Don't miss it!!! Beautiful restaurant in downtown Bologna, warm ambience ,excellent wine list and fabulous food. I had artichokes salad , egg soufflé with truffle,home made tortellini and delicious tagliata steak ! Two sisters own this fabulous restaurant! Complements!!! I can't wait to come back

Actually this was the most disappointing meal of our five nights in Bologna. The service was lousy. The pasta was OK. But we ordered a steak for two and it was raw. We couldn't eat it so we asked them to make it more well done. They brought it back and it was still inedible. We actually walked down independence to find a bigger and his dog to give the steak to the dog. Need I say more.
