Stopped in for brunch and had a great few hours at the bar with Riley and Megan. The food and drinks were delicious. Riley put on the WNBA game for me and gave me tons of recommendations for the area, as someone visiting on business. Laid back vibe but top notch service, I'm sure it's a great time on a busy night, too.

Literally one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve had. And the potato’s are just right! The burrito itself is massive, and left my ever starving husband and I full after eating just half. Vibes are cool, and will definitely come back for a dinner date.

We’ve always loved this place but it’s gone downhill and it’s really dirty and needs management. At least respect the animals and dust them. Drinks and service was great but my fiancé and in both felt like we needed a shower after one drink.

Sports bar with almost a nightclub feel. Pros: • Service from the staff was wonderful • Food was awesome, steak and wings #1 • Drinks were strong and don't hold back Cons: • Parking kind of hectic since it's downtown (Out of establishment control)

Hotel recommended this place and it didn’t disappoint. Actually took my food recommendation from the bouncer/security guard. I got the chicken tenders, fries and a lemonade. The food was hot and a healthy portion that I didn’t even finish my food. The service started off slow, but the staff was friendly. Paying $26 for a chicken tenders meal is definitely pricey, but at least the food was good. I would go back.

This place can be a lot of fun on a weekend night- if the music is actually right. The bouncer and other staff are lovely! The set up inside is great with lots of places to sit and a dance floor. However I would seriously recommend getting a better DJ- he can’t read the crowd at all, clearly lets his ego get in the way of playing anything fun and charges-yes CHARGES actual money for requests. Everyone else here is great- and it’s always worth coming to check the vibe. When the music sucks we make our way to QDs for a better time.

Nachos and fried pickles were really good. Lots of drink options on the menu. They have a great outdoor patio to watch games. Place is a little pricey for what you get.

A fun and viby place to watch the Seahawks game, the menu is top notch (and I don’t mean “it’s good bar food”). Staff is active and makes sure you’re always taken care of.

Finally, a bar that truly welcomes dogs--unlike so many so-called "dog-friendly" spots in Portland. While many places claim to allow dogs, most either restrict it to service animals or have uncomfortable metal tables and chairs that aren't ideal for you or your pup. The drinks were decent, and the laid-back atmosphere was perfect. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. Huge thanks to River Pig for genuinely being dog-friendly and giving us shelter from the rain during our vacation!

Met some friends to watch Liverpool before the Timbers game. Had breakfast, eggs Benedict and the egg breakfast. Excellent. Service was fantastic. Place got busy later in morning. Atmosphere is great

I've only been past 10 pm when the restaurant mainly becomes a dance floor, but i've had good experiences each time. It's always busy and has good music playing. Drinks are also reasonably priced. Good late night spot for the younger crowd.

Came here for drinks one evening and I had a good time with my friend! The inside of the bar is very casual and lively, with plenty of seating and tables. Service was quick, and drinks were good!

We came here on a Sunday morning during the NFL season. I ended up eating a breakfast sandwich which was delicious. The other person I was with had a different sandwich and she also loved it. This place was packed, but in a way that is fun since it was during the games. Everyone was polite despite different rooting interests involved. Don't drink too much before taking that trek down to the restroom!!

I REALLY like this place. the food was great, drinks were yummy and service was so friendly. we were there at shift change and sometimes there can be a lag in service, but both the ongoing and offgoing servers checked in with us immediately. I will come back soon!

Stopped in here earlier this week when trying to decide where to go for dinner since many of the businesses in the area done open until after 4pm. I had a margarita and my sister had an espresso martini. The drinks and service were good. No complaints.

You want a cool place to go at night, swing by here. You want a chill place to grab a beer and watch some sports during the day, pop a squat on their patio that's decked out with TV's. On my latest visit in June, we decided to sit on the patio. It was a beautiful Oregon day and the US Open was on, so we got to have the best of both worlds. We were served fast and continually checked on throughout our visit. I feel like this is something to note, because sometimes you can get forgotten about when you sit outside. That is not the case here, so kudos to the waitress who was taking care of us. The drinks were all ice cold and delicious. There's a TON of options. I've never had any food but based off their photos, it looks like they have some items that could slap. #3 Fun Fact: I'd visit River Pig Saloon a third time! __________________________ Okay, I feel like I need to leave you with a real fun fact so here it goes... #4 Fun Fact: River Pigs were men who drove the timber down the river. It was a very treacherous job that paid swell. If you survived your day, a "river pig" would often want a glass or two of whiskey at the end of the day.

Good spot for watching a game, especially if the weather is nice on their patio. Not groundbreaking food, but it's not bad either. Often a good ratio of guys to girls as well.

It's a cool sports bar with two giant tv's. Nice vibe, friendly attentive service. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. Took a couple of stars off since I ordered an avocado toast. I know different restaurants have a different spin on this basic dish. It was nicely presented. I just wasn't too excited that it was doused in some sort of balsamic (tasting) vinegar, which wasn't stated on the menu. If it was, I would have ordered something else. Other than that it's a nice place to get a drink, or grab some pub food.

The chicken and waffles was dank, pretty much ate the whole meal which I'm not often able to do with chicken and waffles. The chicken consisted of thinner strips so it was similar to a waffle and chicken sandwich but smothered with syrup nd butta Service was great, the bartenders and waitress were on top of it Drinks were sturdy Glad there was plenty a large # of tvs to watch different game(s)

I live out of state and was visiting for vacation, I was stahhhvin so me and my friend went to river pig. Nick was the bartender and oh my god. I have never had such great service in my life. I've never been to Oregon and he told us so many different places to go see and really really realllly made this trip worth while. I've even been back since just because of the service Nick provided. He makes the best drinks and knows the best food items on the menu. The vibe of this place is also just really cool. The bathrooms are downstairs where there is a couch, some games, a vending machine with some surprise items & my personal favorite- the Photo Booth. I will definitely be back. Unless Nick doesn't work there anymore. Then I'll go wherever he is. But I hope he's here cause it's the best place

A We are traveling in area and found this place on line WOW what a gem, wish we would have found it before our last day here We were there on Monday afternoon right after they opened, they are all decorated for Halloween it is something everyone needs to see Bartender Joel was just awesome with so much information of the area, he gave us a tour of the bar. He loves his job and so personally and does it all with a smile and enthusiasm. We did not eat but drinks were great, thank you Joel for the great afternoon if ever back in area will for sure not miss this place

Super fun place... The night I went they had a bull riding event out in their outside covered patio area. Love the energy, but wish there was more TVs and bigger ones for the sporting events! I'll be back.

Just visited a place called river pig saloon. Sat with Andrew at the bar and asked for recommendations. He recommended the bison burger and that and the beer did not disappoint. Not your typical bar food. Burger had flavor, well presented and the service was top notch. 10/10

A chill, cool sports bar that closes later than most in Portland. Solid cocktails and food options. Service was also very nice. Many big tables and bar seatings inside but they also have covered outdoor benches. They seem super busy on the weekends so definitely keep that in mind.

Randomly met Andrew (bartender) at the barbershop and he recommended that my buddy and I go to the River Pig for New Years Eve. The name is a little different than the usual bars we go to but Andrew was so chill that we felt we had to try it out. So we did. And not only did we have a blast there with the crowd on NYE but the service was amazing. So good, that we ended up going there 4 days in a row. Even the food was good!! We literally have not met a single person on staff that we didn't like. So big shoutout to the staff: Ciera, Bella, Nick, Shelby and Adam for making the River Pig our new favorite spot. And the BIGGEST of shoutouts to Andrew for convincing us to go. Thank you!!

Okay, this place wasn't at all what I was expecting and hoping for.. appetizers were good, but my food (mac & cheese) never arrived, I don't know how they never noticed that in a party of four someone was without food, maybe because our server wasn't paying attention to us, no water refill or anything. Place is super loud and dark. Definitely not coming back

Food was very fast and my burger came out delicious! They only have curly fries which is a plus compared to most dive bars. Make sure you check out the basement before you leave. They have all types of random things down there from a photo booth to vending machines with mystery items.

Alex our server is awesome!!!!!!!! Fast service and yummy drinks and food! TVs outside were perfect. Good for large groups.

Walked in and the atmosphere could be felt 20ft outside the front door. Lots of TVs beers are cold and delicious. If you are from out of town, sit at bar! Met the bartenders Joel and Andrew were freaking hilarious. Joel also gave me a list of all the hot spots in the area and gave me my first California Widow shot. Never felt so welcomed to a new city, new bar, and a new person in my life. Love this place and anyone here or visiting, needs to come by!!! Food is good, coming back for brunch.

We came here for the rams/ bucs game because the food looked good and it just looked like a great place to watch the game. Honestly the food outdid itself. I was shocked at the quality and flavors river pig had to offer. The bacon Jam was incredible, the breakfast sandwich was literally so good I could've eaten two. Even the potato's were salty and flavourful! Drinks were flowing and the atmosphere was really good. The only thing I'll say is the bathrooms weren't really clean but hey it's a pub! Definitely would recommend this place for brunch !

This was a decent place to sit and have a brunch cocktail. The table we sat at was not particularly clean, the water glasses were all chipped (possible safety issue), I had my Bloody Mary upsold without my consent (asked for a Bloody Mary but was provided a Hail Mary at $6 more), but aside from that, it was a cool place. The staff had a relaxed attitude. They were fairly engaged with our group. Overall it was a decent experience.

Love the vibe of this bar, dim and lively. Friendly bartenders. Ordered the river pig old fashioned for $14 and it was worth every penny. Not a big sports lady, but my man loved that they had every football game on. See you soon river pig!

Such a fun place! I love the saloon vibe. We watched the Oregon vs UCLA game here and it was great. The service was excellent, the food was great and the drinks were so good. The waitress was super attentive and made sure we were having a great time. The bar tender even even put on a duck mask. I love the Oregon spirit in this place.

I went here for the Super Bowl and this place is awesome! Good food, good crowd and excellent customer service. Despite how busy it was, we received our food and drinks right away. The staff had an excellent attitude even while dealing with the Super Bowl crush of orders. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Service is always amazing! Sierra the bartender makes the best cocktails, is always so sweet and attentive. The vibe is always exactly what my friends and I need after a long day of work or just want to have a good time on the weekends!

Absolutely the worst service I've possibly ever had in my life. Bartenders posting on social media and then being rude when we have all been waiting several minutes for a drink order.

For most of our married life , me and the hubby seemed to like the same places and dislike the same ones , however RP is one place that we do not see eye to eye . He really loves this place , I on the other hand am not such a fan , so this review is going to be a middle path on what he loves and what I think can be better . The Good - Drinks are good ,lots of beer on tap . The hubby really enjoys his pickle back here and they also have one of his favorites- Whistle Pig here. The ambience is chill with bricked walls and lots of wood tables ,neon signs and bar seating . Its a great spot to watch sports or just hang out with your buddies .Food is OK with burgers being their most famous menu item. The outside patio is very popular during summers and is almost always full. The not so good - Extremely crowded ,even with Covid I see a lot of crowd in this place and don`t feel entirely comfortable with so many people at close quarters with one another. The crowd here is mostly young and it gets really really loud ,and it is impossible to have a conversation at times . Service is average and it takes a bit to get your order in . This again can be attributed to the place brimming with people . Overall , I would say this is a fairly popular spot in the Pearl and can be quite appealing in the summers.

I want to say, the best service ever. Adam, Ceres, and Nick, were amazing! Even with the snow and the ice, the food, the bar staff, and people with amazing. They also remembered my name. I would recommend any night or day here!

My favorite place! I have been here so much! Service is always excellent. Atmosphere is great! And food is even better! Bright cider is always the love. Their burger is my favorite burger in the area and their fries are wonderfully seasoned. Most recently went for happy hour and their chicken fingers were great! Love their outdoor seating area. Highly recommend!!

The Service was great. The food however, was terrible and not much for the price. It was one of a few places open on the fourth but not worth the expirence.

I had to come on here and shout out a couple staff members from River Pig Saloon! Shelby is one of the sweetest and hard working servers that I've recognized. She always ensured I was taken care of and greets me with kindness every time I come in. Additionally, Andrew one of the bartenders, always goes above and beyond when making me a bartenders choice cocktail and is a magician behind the bar. LOVE THIS TEAM! :)

Met here with a couple coworkers for Happy Hour for the first time . Happy hour menu was great . Great selection. Server was very attentive. Love the music they were playing very viby I'll be back

I wish I could give this place 6 stars! We were here in the summer last time & it was great so we had to come back on a rainy day in April & had a fantastic experience again! The atmosphere is fun & lively & they have lots of TVs to watch games. My husband & I squeezed in at the end of the bar (we love to sit at the bar) & my husband preferred to stand as we'd been driving for 2 1/2 hours until the bartender Andrew was so kind & brought him a barstool as soon as it was available. So then we started with our drinks- me a tequila soda with grapefruit juice & my husband got a double IPA. We were ready to order food next & I got the spicy shrimp tacos- street tacos that were loaded with shrimp & just enough heat with some cabbage & onions - so delicious! My husband got the drumsticks in Buffalo sauce- amazing! So big & meaty with just enough spices. The prices were so reasonable too- shhhhhh! Andrew took great care of us & the atmosphere was so fun & friendly- we'll definitely be back!

This is my favorite bar in NW Portland. Great for watching games or people watching outside on a nice day. They have a great menu of food which is far above the typical bar food you have to tolerate. Great drinks from skilled bar keeps and a ton of great energy. It's hard to find a seat on game day but we'll worth the wait when you do.

I am going preface this with, I am a happily married woman! Oh my goodness, I usually avoid dark corners after the sun sets, but this place is a must! Was it a fluke? Is it always like this? Sooo many men, just chillin' eating' drinking, this is the watering hole ladies dream of finding! If you are single and want to mingle with a tummy full of the best shrimp adobada tacos, this is your haven. The environment was fun, very relaxed, there is a a baller of a stuffed bear watching over it all and the staff was great. I like all the unique lighting and wall features, but the highlight of signage for me was definitely the neon "pee pee room". I love humor, men, good food, strong drinks and they just hand it all to you on an unassuming platter of a good time. Everything about here is very welcoming and set to encourage you towards mingling. I cant wait to come back.....with my hubby of course!

A pearl district staple. It's always a happening spot. Great place to meet people and get lots of drinks! I've spent many a night here. The bar staff and servers are fantastic. Ambiance is quite unique. While it is a "saloon," it's modern and has deer heads and cool art, with modern touches. Plenty of table seating (first come first serve). There is a photo booth downstairs by the "peepee rooms" (lol, there's a sign above the stairs). RP is the best "first Thursday" place to go, but it gets so crazy! Definitely check this place out if you haven't yet.

Loved the food and drinks. Sierra was a fantastic bartender. Super on it, so sweet, and made me a cocktail from her own creation of my dreams. 100000/10 service.

We made a reservation via the google assistant, received a confirmation and a follow up confirmation the next week for the Civil War game in Portland, OR. We traveled from Nevada and had seats for 10 people. When we showed up, "oh we don't have your reservation" We showed the confirmation and were told, "oh google will do that with out letting us know" There is no excuse for this. Trying to find a bar that will take 10 people the day of a game like that is impossible. We called several establishments, drove all over town and managed to get lucky an hour later. The fact that the finger was pointed at google is inexcusable. Manage your s**t River Pig. it's not the customer's responsibility. We will not be returning. Sucks for you, we spent over $1500.00 at the place we found.

Just stopped by for happy hour and the bartender, Mary Alice, was super helpful! She made us the yummiest drinks and gave us such good service. This might be my new favorite post-work Monday tradition!

I had the best burger in the area called the Big Bison Burger and it was so delicious! The bison was medium rare, juicy, flavorful and not a stingy meal either. They have great saloon styled food that'll fill you up and amazing selection of locally made craft beers. One of the harder drinks has maple in it that adds and extra flavor pleasing to the taste. The interior is a great western look, lighting is great, just the atmosphere in general is well suited for the place and location. I love going here from time to time. It's also a great place to gather with coworkers on a Friday night. Parking can be found on the surrounding area and prices/service is excellent.

Great place and service. Delicious drinks and food. A bit pricy but post heights of the pandemic, what isn't. Came here with my best friend and had a blast talking to the staff and some of the other patrons. Very friendly.

Group of us decided to meet up in Portland from around the country. Decided to slip into the first random spot we could find in the Pearl District. Ended up being the River Pig. Moderately packed for a Thursday, bellied up to the bar and was greeted by Joel tending. Guy was awesome. Chatted with us. Made good drinks. Recommended hilarious spots for our group to check out. Folks like Joel are why I come back to a place. Anyone can serve beer, the people and personality make you come back.
