The Best Restaurants near Zion National Park Springdale, Utah | Eater Vegas

"Located just 20 minutes from Zion National Park, this coffeehouse serves as a palate-whetting prelude to your park adventure. Perched on the edge of a basalt canyon carved by the Virgin River, it offers sweeping views both indoors and on the patio. Sip on espresso drinks as you take in the scenery, or enjoy hearty bites like turkey cranberry sandwiches, bacon cheeseburgers, and kale and sausage pizzas on hand-tossed dough." - Janna Karel

River Rock Roasting Company is a gem! We stopped here during our visit to Zion, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. The place has some of the nicest views—you can just sit back, sip your drink, and take it all in. They roast their own coffee, and you can tell—it’s fresh, rich, and full of flavor. I also tried their pizza, and wow. The crust was perfectly crunchy, the kind that holds up with every bite, and the mozzarella mushroom pizza was absolutely delicious. If you’re into beer, they’ve got a nice selection to try as well, making it a perfect spot to relax after a hike. Bottom line: Great coffee, amazing pizza, cold beer, and killer views—what more could you want?

River Rock Roasting Company is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in and place your order at the entrance, everything runs like clockwork—you’re handed a number and then free to grab any table you like. Make a beeline for the patio if you can: the panoramic view into the canyon (with the river winding below) is downright unbeatable, especially as the sun sinks behind the cliffs. Food-wise, the portions are generous without sacrificing quality. My salad was loaded with fresh greens, toppings, and just-right dressing, while the burger was juicy, flavorful, and big enough to satisfy even a serious appetite. Pair it with one of their local beers, kick back, and watch the sky erupt in color—pure magic. Every staff member we met was warm and genuinely friendly, making the whole experience feel welcoming and relaxed. Delicious food, huge portions, sunset canyon vistas, and top-notch service: River Rock Roasting Company nails all the essentials. Can’t wait to come back!

This is a desert treasure. The aroma of food and coffee when you walk in hits you like a fond memory of a romantic rendezvous. The coffee is superb, and the food is really good. I tried the wheat free breakfast quiche, and it was delicious. The servers are very friendly and helpful, even when it's busy. The warm interior is inviting. There are tables inside and out for whatever your seating preference is. Definitely will come back any time we go to Zion.

Google
The staff were friendly and very efficient during the extremely busy time we were there. The Truffle Oil & Mushroom pizza was horrible, even the children wouldn’t eat it. The Grilled Cheese with Ham & Apples was very yummy. Beet Salad was decent but lacking dressing. The views from the balcony were beautiful and definitely what sells this place. Red ants, scorpions and uncleanliness had us going inside with our food from the patio area.

Google
Incredible food at great prices. We came here twice during our weekend visit and were not disappointed either time. The staff are super nice and had good recommendations. I recommend the breakfast burrito if you are hungry and the orange roll if you want something sweet. Incredible views on the deck to complement the food.

We ordered a chocolate peanut butter frappe—rich, creamy, and delicious (need I say more?). I also tried the pineapple mango muffin, which was wheat-free, delightfully moist, not overly sweet, and packed with well-distributed fruit throughout. The ham and cheese croissant, with an added egg and a touch of sriracha, was just as satisfying—flaky, flavorful, and filling. The staff, though clearly working hard and showing signs of a busy day, maintained their warmth, smiles, and willingness to help. Their effort and positive attitude did not go unnoticed and were very much appreciated. The setting is simply gorgeous, though we’ll admit we’re biased—Southern Utah’s beauty always takes our breath away. Be aware that this place is popular and often bustling, so don’t expect a full sit-down dining experience. Instead, plan to arrive early if you’d like to snag a seat on one of the decks overlooking the stunning Virgin River. All in all, it was a wonderful experience worth the visit!

Google
Really great place to go right after a long hike. Came here with a handful of people after a long hot hike at Snow Canyon State Park. We were all starving and exhausted. Everyone got a few different items including the Cobb Salad that I didn't get a picture of, but was large enough to split. Then a custom pizza, burger, and some sandwiches. I got the Black Forest Ham with Apple and Havarti cheese which was delicious and and light seasoning on it as well as their double IPA which was much smoother than I expected. Overall the place had really nice views and we got lucky enough to sit in the shade and next to the railing where the view was beautiful. Everyone enjoyed their food, alchol and smoothies. The day we left to drive back to California we decided to come here again where I ended up getting the Turkey Bacon Avocado Melt with pesto which also was tasty. Sandwiches are a tiny bit small but it was still good.

We were on our way from Las Vegas to Arizona and were told this was the spot for some eats. Got there around 10am and there was already a line. Good thing we got ourselves a table and the line moved rather quickly. The view outside was great. It was still a bit chilly outside. Otherwise, we would have dined outside to enjoy the view. I had the big bad wolf burrito and it was tasty. Not the best I ever had, but for about $9, this was big and good enough. Others liked their food as well. I also had a Peach Avenue smoothie which was delicious. The coffee was piping hot, but not too bad. We were told that their pizzas were awesome. Too bad we arrived so early. Next time I’d try their burger and pizza as I would certainly come back.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee house. Our group stopped for coffee. I wish we hadn't eaten before because the food looked so good. The service was quick and very friendly. I ordered an iced mocha that was really good. A few others in the group grabbed pastries which they said were excellent. The back deck had a great view and I would recommend that you save room for their food.

Yelp
Service was good. The guy at the front Elijah, was nice & gave a recommendation to try the cinnamon roll. He said "it's solid". Which it was! Highly recommend trying their cinnamon roll! The view is stunning. Also very peaceful after a long hike.

Yelp
Delicious fresh spinach salad with plenty of fresh Gorgonzola, beets, pecans--superb beef well done on mushroom Swiss burger on ciabatta bun, bun avoiding the common "ciabatta smashed my burger" fault--and good fresh turkey, cranberry cream cheese lettuce wrap sandwich with sprouts. Great, friendly FAST service almost got dinged for forgetting to deliver our banana muffin - - but the muffin was good enough to make up for it when we finally retrieved it! And by the way the whole reason we stopped in was because it's advertised as a gourmet coffee roaster - - which it really was, as evidenced by a tart delicious Mocha Java. Cozy and clean inside, delightful outside balcony with a hiking Canyon view. We're coming back. Oh yes, we're coming back. Even though it's in the next state.

Yelp
beautiful views of the mountains and a extensive menu! I tried the: - chocolate peanut butter blended coffee ($4.50): refreshing sweet treat that was super chocolate-y but barely any peanut butter - aunt becky's bodacious buns ($4.99): a huge and pretty decent cinnamon roll, although I wish they heated it up so it could be softer - turkey bacon avocado melt ($12.95): a solid panini!

Yelp
If you're anywhere near La Verkin, River Rock Roasting Company is a must stop. Their mocha is easily one of the best I've had, rich chocolate flavor balanced perfectly with smooth espresso, not overly sweet, just spot on. I also tried the spinach blossom quiche and it was excellent: flaky crust, fresh spinach, and just the right amount of cheese and seasoning. The best part? My medium mocha and spinach blossom quiche together were only $9.70 with tax, which feels like a steal for the quality. Great food, great coffee, and a great price.

Yelp
Wow!! Such amazing coffee.. I bought some beans to take home.. Canyon Ritual!!!! Freshly baked bun delicious and decadent Great service Beautiful setting perched upon a ridge.. so peaceful.. lots of areas to sit and sip EnJOY!!!

Yelp
Beautiful view here! Their pizzas are a generous size for the price. Split it and we both had plenty. Such fresh toppings, so delicious. The employees brought out our food really quickly and freshly hot. Employees super kind. Good options on menu. Wish I came here for breakfast! The baked goods and coffee menu looked spectacular. Lots of great looking options. Stunning view for their outdoor seating, some indoor seating. Make sure you see if a table is open BEFORE you order because it's seat yourself after

Yelp
After a long day of hiking, we headed back to our Air BNB in Hurricane (Zion Oasis). We wanted a quick take out option to get back to sit in the hot tub, relax, and eat. We stopped into River Rock. Easy Parking. Easy ordering (walk in, grab a menu, decide and put in your order). We enjoyed the incredible views out the back of the restaurant. Such a great outdoor seating spot!!! We waited 10 minutes. We took home our tasty BBQ Chicken pizza with a side of ranch! It was great!

Yelp
I came here 4 years ago and had to come back again! The turkey bacon sandwich is so good and a great price. We also got a blueberry muffin homemade and it was huge and delicious even the next day. The pizzas and other items looked good too! Definitely would be my go to spot if I lived around here

Yelp
Came around lunch time and there was a large line but it moved really fast! Get. The. Cinnamon . Roll. WOW- my bf and I were blown away. It was perfectly soft and every aspect of it has been perfected. Not too sweet cream cheese frosting, not too sweet filling. We also got the honey mustard chicken sandwich. So good- juicy chicken, excellent bacon. Top notch pickle. The iced and hot americanos were so good- smooth and Smokey. Didn't require any cream. Highly recommend stopping here. Saving it to our list in case we are in the area again!

Yelp
Great iced coffee, scones and breakfast sandwiches. If you have time it has beautiful view outback behind sitting area. Service is quick and nice.

Yelp
Amazing spot their coffee is so good here I went home with three bags. As far as food goes we couldn't get past the cinnamon rolls, turkey bacon avocado melt and the ham and cheese croissant all three are incredible. Can't wait for another visit I will dream of this spot and it's incredible views.
google avatar

Yelp
The cafe offers a beautiful view, which helps justify the higher prices for drinks. However, they have a policy that you can't order alcoholic beverages unless you also order food, which felt a bit restrictive. Also, if you're a tourist, be aware that they only accept a passport as valid ID for alcohol--other forms like a driver's license or national ID won't be accepted. You have to order at the counter and they'll give you a number tag which helps the server to bring your food to you.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Looks like a small random shack on the side of the road, but they have the best coffee I've had in a while with a great view from the patio. The coffee shop was packed with the line out the door, but didn't take too long to place my order and get my drinks. Didn't have much time to sit down and try any of the food since I was passing by, but can say the iced americano and iced oat-milk lattes is really good. Staff were great and they sell roasted beans for a decent price. Regret not buying some when I stopped by.

Yelp
Pulled in to the restaurant's free parking at 8:27 pm, they close at 9:00. The staff was still helpful, friendly and very quick with our tea and meal fir dinner that we went back for breakfast. I will say it was SO windy and cold outside it was refreshing to see on the menu the white jasmine tea which has that floral, sweet, perfumed or sort of fragrant taste/smell. It was also served so hot we asked for a second cup to pour some out to cool it off. We ordered the Black bean burger, layered with cashew cheese, arugula, avocado, tomato on a roll not sour dough bread but delicious and oh-so-tasty! Get this if you are a vegan/vegetarian or just looking for something different! I ordered the grilled cheese, skip it... they serve it with a pickle and potato chips. The pickle was super crunchy but the griddled cheese had no flavor. The cashier, Emily, OMG, could not have been nicer if she tried !!!!! Asked me what kind of bread and cheese I wanted.... So my fault but maybe... try like the south... fried green tomatoes and grilled cheese or something... can charge more :) Well, we liked it and can back for breakfast. Get there EARLY! Got there at 8:30 packed! Got our coffee and latte in no time. Waited about :20 for our everything bagel sandwich (would recommend) eggs were moist, lots of flavor. We were told to order the Cinnamon roll French toast, skip it unless you love sugar and Mrs. Butterworth "maple" syrup yuck! Anyway, go, enjoy the staff, the drinks, the bagels and burgers!

Yelp
Fair prices and fast service. Especially for how busy they were. Our latte was delicious. And if you wanted to enjoy breakfast there is plenty of outside seating with beautiful views. They also have a small beer/bar area. I really enjoyed the visit.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this shop while heading to Zion and oh my goodness it is a hidden gem! The inside is so cozy and they have a little stand with items for sale like shirts, cups, hats, etc. They do share the store with a pizza place so that was nice! I got the mocha, very rich chocolate. And alternative milk is just 50 cents ! Their VIEW was just incredible. There's outdoor patio and you can see the river! So beautiful. It was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth coming here. Their pastry looks good too but I didn't get to try any this time :( Hands down my favorite coffee shop ever. (They even have a small book exchange Infront of their store)

Yelp
What an amazing spot with an amazing view! We ate here for breakfast twice on our vacation to Zion. The coffee was tasty and the food service was quick and delicious. We had a variety of things and they were all recommendable, can't wait to be back!

Yelp
This place is always a go to when I am in town :) I genuinely wish I could be a regular here because the staff are amazing, the food is amazing and the views are amazing. A very nice spot to stop by after a long day of hiking Southern Utah

Yelp
I am a coffee snob and I consider myself a professional when it comes to drinking coffee, lol and River Rock Toasting Co. has some dam good coffee! Decided to have a large cup, one of their baked goods and a breakfast burrito before hitting our hike at Zion. Everything was on point. I have no complaints. Location is great, food is good, excellent customer service and located in a great area Great place to have breakfast and a delicious dark roast coffee.
google avatar

Kathleen W.

Yelp
A dirty chai and a quiche were our selections and the dirty chai met expectations. The quiche was not up to par. It tasted very funky and would make a good choice for food if there were no options left and you are starving. Disappointing, nevertheless.
google avatar

Yelp
All I can say is wow. This place was hopping on a Friday morning! Just goes to show how awesome it is. This was my favorite matcha I had while in Utah. I almost went back for a second one (matcha with lavender)! The breakfast bagel was so delicious, I only managed to get through half because the cashier sold me on an egg lol - I recommend adding that. The view was unbeatable. I went down to sit in the sun for a bit by myself on the lower deck of the outside patio. So peaceful. If I ever get the chance to move.. you'll find me here time & time again.
google avatar

Kyle W.

Yelp
I went here for a coffee break on the drive back from Bryce Canyon, and this place is also pretty close to Zion too. I got the latte, nothing special but regardless good drink. The biggest plus is that the outside seating offers great views of the canyons.
google avatar

Pierre S.

Yelp
Places is a great place for coffee and desserts. Also has very good quiche and bagels. Would highly recommend. Get there early. It gets crowded. Had a lot of good local advice on hiking as well.

Yelp
Coffee with a view!! (AND great pizza) This is a must stop every time I visit Southern Utah. Located not too far off the freeway; easily on your path to Zion or Sand Hollow Resort. The first few times I went, I tried various coffees & usually grab a breakfast sandwich. It can get busy with a long line but it's worth the wait. Snag a table outside for a beautiful canyon and river view. My most recent visit was earlier this week (Monday); I was in town visiting family. My mother suggested lunch at River Rock. Weather was too cold to eat outside (still snuck a peek at the view though!), so we enjoyed our food in their indoor dining room for the first time. Plenty of seating with unique furniture such as a table top full of beer caps and lots of artwork/photographs of Zion National Park. I had already had my coffee for the day, so I ordered the iced pomegranate green tea which was a light and refreshing choice, along with a few pizzas to share. I had a few slices of the pepperoni and ohh yes, you want the pizza here!! It was so good!! I had always made this a breakfast spot in my mind but now it's a fave lunch spot too. Don't skip this spot on your next trip!
google avatar

Kim l.

Yelp
Went back two nights in a row! Food was good but the view of the sunset was beautiful. We sat on the outside deck and watched the sun set after two days of long hikes at Zion. Burgers were good. The Margherita pizza was better than the truffle mushroom one. Beet salad was huge and yummy. Tuna melt was really good. There is not much dining selection in this area. Very happy to find this gem!
google avatar

Morgan H.

Yelp
Pizza here is really good. We made our own with ingredients offered. Crispy crust and tasty fresh toppings all made for an enjoyable night. Views overlooking the Virgin River gorge also made this a great place. Severs did a great job also. This place is always busy so don't be scared off. They are use to it. Highly recommend
google avatar

Lauren N.

Yelp
I loved the coffee here!! Do not miss this place on your trip! The baristas were kind, it was cute and spacious in here. I ordered the coconut cold brew and it was tasty with good quality coffee. The coconut notes really come through. I also had the breakfast burrito--served hot with potatoes inside and a delicious spicy siracha aioli sauce. The melted cheese made it so delicious!
google avatar

Janet S.

Yelp
This is a great place to sit outside and enjoy the scenery while waiting for your order! Our party ordered pizza and salads...and desserts! Oh! You have to go up to the counter to order and then it is brought to you when ready. We had the Beetza Pizza which is very good. Even those not fans of beets liked it. We also ordered the Aloha Pizza, the Beet Salad, and Amerikesh Salad. There were 5 of us sharing everything and still had some left over. Be warned! If you see something in the bakery case that looks good, get it right away! If you think about it through your meal and then decide to get it...too late!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything was delicious. What. great find! Loved their sandwiches and pizza. Tuna melt was my favorite.

Yelp
We passed by this place a couple of times and their parking was always full. So we had to check out and I'm so glad we did. Very cute cafe by the river. People were sooooo friendly there and just pleasant to deal with. My croissant sandwich was delicious. Also their coffee was very good we ended up buying a bag of coffee beans to take home. This is a must-visit place if you are ever in the area

Yelp
I don't come to this area often, my parents moved here a few years back. When I am in town I always stop by River Rock Roasting Co. You really can't go wrong with any item. It is all so good. In the past I've had lattes, breakfast burritos, and quiche, but when I stoped by this past week I came for 2 things. 1. The bbq chicken pizza 2. Pineapple cream soda This is my go to lunch order, my mom ordered a burger, my aunt ordered a quiche and the turkey cranberry sandwich. They both said it was so good. My aunt declared that this is their new spot. The weather happened to be beautiful that day so we enjoyed our lunch on the patio where there is a stunning view. The service was fast and everyone is so friendly!
google avatar

Heather F.

Yelp
This place was so good we went twice during our vacation to Zion. The first time we got pastries and coffees and drinks after a day in the park, the second time we stopped for breakfast on our way to Bryce. Both times were delicious, we almost went a third time, but we just weren't hungry enough!! We got a mix of sandwiches and breakfast burritos, and all were really spot on! The veggie breakfast burrito was our favorite! The people were friendly and service was quick, which is nice before and after a long hike! The best part is, you can sit on the patio over looking a river and it is absolutely breathtaking!
google avatar

Yelp
It was a lovely Sunday morning and we stopped by for the coffee. I ordered a 12oz vanilla latte and it was crazy hot in temperature. The coffee was nice but the view was incredible from the patio. I didn't expect how wonderful the outside was. There's a lot of merchandise available inside and I ended up getting a cute sticker. It took around 10 minutes to get my coffee but the cafe was pretty busy.

Jax C.

Yelp
Nice upbeat coffee shop with food-- treats for breakfast, sandwich, salad and pizza for dinner and your choice of beer. Indoor and outdoor seating (with a great view). You order and seat yourself. They have a great menu for a tiny place. All their sweets seem to be homemade. We had the scones a few days in a room and enjoyed them. Very crisp on the outside and through. Best part for us is it was t very sweet other than from the fruits or chocolate themselves. The food was good for the price. Again, good for a quick bite or grab and go type atmosphere. Wasn't too loud and children friendly. Was definitely our go to place during our visit and will be back.
google avatar

Amrin K.

Yelp
The view from the patio is stunning and it is also pet friendly! However, they aren't allowed inside and the staff at the counter certainly made it clear with their expressions and short service. The pizza was delicious, I got the beetza pizza. The coffee was good but wasn't a fan of the brown sugar syrup.
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
Ok I admit I eat here often. I've had almost every vegetarian item on the menu. My favorite are the monkey wrench pizza and the veggie sandwich (not the hummus one) and the bahama mama Italian soda. I usually come here to pick up sandwiches for hike days or after a long hike with friends. I prefer to sit outside with the amazing view but I love the local art showcased inside. There are restrooms and souvenirs. The staff is very nice and always super fast whether eating in or getting things to go. Sometimes it seems like there isn't much parking but for the most part I've found parking within a short walk even during the busiest times. I think the prices are fair too. I would love if they added a veggie burger or something to the menu but it's great as it is too!
google avatar

Bekah C.

Yelp
My all-time favorite coffee spot in Southern Utah. Hands-down. I can't get enough of it. Grabbing coffee and food and sitting outside on their deck/patio is my favorite thing to do when I'm in the area. The coffee is superb, the food is really good, and the service is the best you can get. I've only ever eaten here for breakfast but it never disappoints. The pastries/baked goods are ginormous but don't lack in quality. And the hot items are the perfect sustenance before a day of adventuring. RRRC is doing everything right.
google avatar

Graciela C.

Yelp
I've been having River Rock coffee and pastries from their drive thru location and this is first time here. We had a good experience with the quiche and mixed berry muffin so we tried the more extended menu here. Their iced LATTE is good but not great. 3.5/5 because personally it needs a richer espresso for the extra hmph. Their medium HOT LATTE is bad. Lacks flavor and it is watered down. I recommend getting a double shot espresso and adjusting the milk by yourself. It's not a latte but it's the only way you can taste the beans. We also tried the AUNT BECKYS BODACIOUS BUN and it is a gigantic cinnamon bun with a soft cream cheese frosting. It is soft and fresh and pretty ok overall but it is a lot. It gets sweeter and sweeter with every bite so it is a better to share with at least 3 people if you must get this. Must get: BERRY MUFFIN. This is much better than the banana bran. Love this for pre hike carbs. Sweetness just right aka barely. HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT: it's a crispy panini pressed sandwich. 3.75/5 overall ok. Grilled cheese sandwich: terrible. It tastes as it looks. Dry and forgettable. 3 stars for the food and the nice view in the back.

Yelp
Popular coffee shop in Zion with a variety of breakfast and beverage options with pizza and beer for later in the evenin. We got the breakfast burritos and breakfast bagel and they were delicious. The size was unexpectedly large for a good value. The burritos was tasty with a variety of items inside such as potatoes, eggs, salsa, cheese and more. The coffee and chai tea were on spot for the morning. The seating is limited but you can always get your food to go. Highly recommend if you're in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty cool spot, first time in this part of Utah. Nice location too and cool views. Stopped in for breakfast with the crew. Had the burrito, berry smoothie and a blueberry mango scone. Ordering process was a bit confusing but we got it together. It was busy so it was confusing so I would recommend a line sign. Staff was efficient and quick. Cinnamon rolls were delicious!

Ken K.

Yelp
Fantastic spot for breakfast and more. If we lived here we'd be here all the time. Outstanding back porch area too!
google avatar

Sue L.

Yelp
We had pizza one night and breakfast the next morning. Pizza was good - nice sized for the two of us. Loved the soda dispensing machine (especially the handles). It wasn't clear to us (or other diners) that we should be bussing our own tables, so that seemed a bit disorganized. Came back the next morning for breakfast/coffee. It was satisfying - good start for the next leg of our trip. Until next time in the area......
google avatar

Yelp
great little spot with good coffee. they have a drive through but the line gets long, even at 730 in the morning. tip is to park and walk to the window for faster service. really nice team of barista and cashier and highly recommend stopping here at least once to try their brew.
google avatar

Christy K.

Yelp
River Rock has the most amazing pizzas on their menu; who would think beets or peanuts would taste so good in pizza form! The views are terrific and the vibe is great, too. And, go later in the day and the day-old bakery items are super cheap and still delicious.
google avatar

Angela A.

Yelp
I was so excited to get to try this awesome looking place barely supported over a huge gorge that's absolutely breathtaking ! First of all I felt rushed to order as there's a long line behind you waiting and the menu is so large I guess I should have pulled out of line but my sister had already ordered so I reluctantly ordered what the cashier highly recommend which was a black n blue burger with black bean soup. The soup was amazing and super yummy but this burger was burnt and dry and even the cheeses on it didn't make it moist! So I threw it out and ate most of the soup My sister ate hers slowly and her beer was actually soapy??? I would return to try something else just for the views And the gift shop too! Maybe ask your client how they want the burger prepared and check back with them how everything is or was!?!?!

Yelp
Long line when we came but it moved surprisingly fast! Food was excellent and so was the service! One of the best places to eat in town and can't beat that view and the chill vibes.
