Amazing spot with incredible food. We stopped here on a local recommendation and are glad we did. There is plenty of seating over the valley, giving amazing views to look at while you eat or sip your coffee. Originally stopped for dinner and local brews. The pizza was incredible, and the Bacon Cheeseburger was delicious Such a great spot we came back for brunch the next day. Coffee was perfect and the huge cinnamon roll was perfectly balanced in its sweetness. We also got a Turkey Bacon Avocado Melt sandwich, which unfortunately was just okay. Everything else though including the service, atmosphere, and all the other food was fantastic. We will be back and I suggest you stop by as well!

Great spot for breakfast! We were on vacation, so I’m sad we only ate here once. I wish we had something like this back home. We were there on a weekday so there wasn’t any waiting. We sat out on the deck & had an awesome view. Both of us enjoyed our breakfasts & I took 1/2 of mine with me for later. We also shared the queso street corn, that was like one of the best street corn recipes I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant. I just had a regular coffee by my daughter had something “fancy”, I just can’t remember what? It was good anyways.

River Rock Roasting Company offers a delightful breakfast experience, perfect for starting the day. The coffee selection is impressive, with a variety of rich, flavorful options that cater to coffee lovers of all kinds. For those who prefer vegetarian meals, there are plenty of delicious choices available, ensuring everyone has something tasty to enjoy. The outdoor patio seating is a highlight, providing comfortable space to relax and soak in the morning views. It’s an ideal spot to savor a fresh cup of coffee while enjoying the peaceful ambiance. Overall, River Rock Roasting Company combines great food, excellent coffee, and a lovely atmosphere, making it a highly recommended spot for breakfast

Google
This was our first food stop on a cross-country road trip, and I'm not sure we could have started on a better note! If the cinnamon roll and breakfast burrito weren't incredible enough, the dramatic view from the outside dining area made what was already a great experience an unforgettable one (at least for us Ohioans!). The GIGANTIC cinnamon roll was possibly the best I have EVER had and I couldn't stop talking about it. The breakfast burrito kept me full for a whole day. If I'm back in Utah, I'll absolutely be going out of my way to come here.

Google
Came in for breakfast before the Narrows hike. The breakfast burrito was definitely the fuel we needed to do the hike. It was great. We also had half the cinnamon roll at breakfast which was absolutely delicious, the second half was our reward after the hike and was still so good. We took lunch to go to have on the hike, we had the turkey bacon avocado melt. It stayed so well and was exactly what we needed. The place itself was really nice, with great views outside, and great art inside. Would definitely recommend making the little drive to La Verkin.

Google
Great view and great coffee. They were a bit busy when we visited so they mixed up the orders and forgot to give us some part of our order. But besides that it’s a nice place to grab some coffee and breakfast sandwiches and start your day.

Google
We got coffees and a few snacks here after trying out the hot springs across the road and everything was delicious! The views from the patio were fantastic as we shared the scones, the spinach quiche, and the cinnamon roll! As my friend mentioned, the cinnamon rolls were bigger than her face and probably the best thing we tried there!

Google
River Rock Roasting Company is a gem! We stopped here during our visit to Zion, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. The place has some of the nicest views—you can just sit back, sip your drink, and take it all in. They roast their own coffee, and you can tell—it’s fresh, rich, and full of flavor. I also tried their pizza, and wow. The crust was perfectly crunchy, the kind that holds up with every bite, and the mozzarella mushroom pizza was absolutely delicious. If you’re into beer, they’ve got a nice selection to try as well, making it a perfect spot to relax after a hike. Bottom line: Great coffee, amazing pizza, cold beer, and killer views—what more could you want?

Yelp
I'm big on coffee to start my morning, especially before a day in the parks and I also was nearby to drop my dog off for daycare so I through I'd stop by. They have a huge selection of coffee drinks and make a very good Americano if you just need the kick without everything else. My wife got an Iced Vanilla Latte that she was very happy with as well. The staff were doing very well for it being as busy as it was, even for weekdays but still were very helpful and pleasant. Give them a try!

Yelp
Perhaps our second most favorite highlight of our September Utah trip (Zion National Park being our first)! River Rock Roasting Co. was such a delightful way to start our day. We arrived just before 9AM on a Saturday, and though it was quite busy, our order turn over was quite fast. We opted to sit on the dog friendly, back patio and soaked up the gorgeous and serene view. Our senior pup loved being there as much as we did. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte ($3.40), Caramel Pecan Sticky Bun ($5.25), and a Spinach Quiche Blossom ($4.40). The hubby ordered a Caramel Apple Breakfast Sandwich ($7.50) and a German Chocolate blended coffee ($4.75). Everything was DELICIOUS and extremely gourmet for the price. To this day, I still crave the Chai Tea Latte, Spinach Quiche and the hubby's Caramel Apple Breakfast Sandwich. Highly recommend giving River Rock Roasting Co. a visit!

Yelp
The food was solid, and we ordered three bagel sandwiches. Somehow the universe decided that my sandwich would be the chosen one... the one without bacon. Everyone else got theirs. Me? Just vibes and disappointment. I need my bacon, people! Still a good place overall, just hoping next time my breakfast comes with the full cast of ingredients.

Yelp
We stopped by for a pre-sunset snack and this a cute location with a beautiful outdoor backdrop from the back patio. Between waiting to order and getting our food, everything took about 30 minutes. We shared a special of the day which was a chile and queso dip which was great. But the main reason we came was to try their huge cinnamon rolls and it was fantastic! Super big and very filling, you'll need 2 people to finish this thing. Take your food outside and enjoy the views which were amazing. We did see a lot of people order the pizza which also looked great so we would definitely try that next time we are back. A great pit stop to add on if you're in the area!

Yelp
When I'm around this area or hitting up Zion, this is the go to spot for coffee and lunch break. Solid coffee. Good sandwiches and pizza. Enjoy eating outside for the views. Ample parking in the lot and seating. Staffs are nice. Clean spot.

Yelp
This spot completely exceeded my expectations! The views are absolutely breathtaking, I stopped here on my way back to Vegas from Duck Creek Village, and choosing the outdoor seating was a no-brainer. You get to enjoy your coffee and food while soaking in the scenery; it honestly felt like a perfect little mountain escape. Service was top notch, friendly, welcoming, and fast. The cashier was so kind and patient while I looked over the menu, which has a nice variety and flexibility. You can tell they really care about the customer experience here. I started with an espresso shot that was smooth, rich, and full-bodied, exactly what I needed for the drive home. Then I ordered a vanilla latte, and it was amazing, creamy, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor. I also had the margherita pizza, and it was spot on! The crust was crisp yet soft inside, with a perfect chew and that wood-fired flavor that's hard to beat. The whole place smells like freshly roasted coffee you can even catch the aroma from the street as you drive by, which instantly pulls you in. The interior and outdoor spaces are super clean, comfortable, and inviting, with plenty of seating. It can get a little crowded, but the energy feels lively in a good way. And yes, clean bathrooms, which is always a plus when you're on the road! Overall, this is one of those hidden gems that makes you want to plan your route just to stop again. Beautiful views, great coffee, delicious food, and genuinely good vibes. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
Great recommendation from my Air BnB host. Stopped in for breakfast. First off, the coffee is delicious. Just a dark roast drip for me today, but it was excellent. Got a bagel sandwich sub in sausage, and wow! Excellent. Hot fresh, full of flavor. Friendly service, served fast. A great start to the day. If I was I. Town for longer I would definitely be back.

Yelp
We came here three times during our visit for the convenience/good hours, very friendly service, good food, and great views. This place takes good care of you. They have a selection of breakfast bagel sandwiches, baked goods like scones and cookies (didn't personally look that great), pizzas, salads, sandwiches and coffees/teas/alcohol. We enjoyed the bagel sandwiches, salads (lots of spinach), and tuna salad sandwich with chips. They also sell hats, water bottles, shirts, stickers, their coffee, etc. with their branding. When you order, you get a number and put it at your table. Service isn't super fast but they also can get pretty busy, being one of the authentic places for food and drink in the area. Private parking lot available. It's a great any meal option if you're staying in Hurricane or La Verkin and en route to or from Zion. (But if you're looking for a bite earlier than 6:30, go to Deep Creek in Springdale instead.)

Yelp
Top notch view while enjoying either breakfast and/or lunch/dinner. All pizzas and burgers we ordered were fantastic. Service is super fast with reasonable prices.

Yelp
Back again about a year later and gotta make a stop here again. Great service like always, everyone loved their coffee and per usual, great views and just such a cool spot with great vibes. Within our group, we had ordered the veggie breakfast burrito, various coffees and the chocolate chip and orange scone. All were delicious and perfect. Of course, we had to enjoy it while sitting outside while we got a gap between the various rain throughout the day. Until our annual trip again next year!

Yelp
Yet another place I have been to before but didn't review in the past, but remembered loving it. I came in for a Reuben which came with chips and also got a house salad to go. The food was delicious and fresh. The sandwich was huge! They have a lot of great merch for sale. My dog enjoyed the homemade dog treats. Service is super friendly. First time I came we had pizza during the summer and sat outside on the patio. Epic views!!! This spot is definitely a must go if you're in the area. The parking lot stays full for a reason.
google avatar

Yelp
Pleasant service. Seems to move fairly good pace. Coffee is good. Food we had was good and plentiful. They're open early and good location. Only thing I would say I didn't like was the drive through access which seemed narrow cuz it had boulders statically place.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
beautiful views of the mountains and a extensive menu! I tried the: - chocolate peanut butter blended coffee ($4.50): refreshing sweet treat that was super chocolate-y but barely any peanut butter - aunt becky's bodacious buns ($4.99): a huge and pretty decent cinnamon roll, although I wish they heated it up so it could be softer - turkey bacon avocado melt ($12.95): a solid panini!
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
This is a great coffee shop to visit! They have a large patio with an amazing view. I got the ham, mushroom, and spinach quiche. The filling was delicious but it was like a wonton instead of a traditional crust which I didn't like as much. It wasn't too long of a wait. They also had some fun Halloween decorations that I enjoyed!
google avatar

Tiffany S.

Yelp
This was a gem! I was introduced to this place while honeymooning in southern Utah before heading back to Phoenix and it was so good we went both days in town. The views were pleasant, the service was great, there was plenty of seating, the food was excellent and the coffee was divine! This is definitely going to be my go to when I'm in the area visiting family.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
By far the best food near Hurricane. Their scones are delicious, and their pizza is amazing. Hot cocoa and salads are good too! Can get a bit busy, but the staff was always super nice.
google avatar

Kimberly W.

Yelp
Wow!! Such amazing coffee.. I bought some beans to take home.. Canyon Ritual!!!! Freshly baked bun delicious and decadent Great service Beautiful setting perched upon a ridge.. so peaceful.. lots of areas to sit and sip EnJOY!!!
google avatar

Caroline K.

Yelp
Beautiful view here! Their pizzas are a generous size for the price. Split it and we both had plenty. Such fresh toppings, so delicious. The employees brought out our food really quickly and freshly hot. Employees super kind. Good options on menu. Wish I came here for breakfast! The baked goods and coffee menu looked spectacular. Lots of great looking options. Stunning view for their outdoor seating, some indoor seating. Make sure you see if a table is open BEFORE you order because it's seat yourself after

Yelp
We were on our way from Las Vegas to Arizona and were told this was the spot for some eats. Got there around 10am and there was already a line. Good thing we got ourselves a table and the line moved rather quickly. The view outside was great. It was still a bit chilly outside. Otherwise, we would have dined outside to enjoy the view. I had the big bad wolf burrito and it was tasty. Not the best I ever had, but for about $9, this was big and good enough. Others liked their food as well. I also had a Peach Avenue smoothie which was delicious. The coffee was piping hot, but not too bad. We were told that their pizzas were awesome. Too bad we arrived so early. Next time I'd try their burger and pizza as I would certainly come back.
google avatar

Angelica R.

Yelp
Came around lunch time and there was a large line but it moved really fast! Get. The. Cinnamon . Roll. WOW- my bf and I were blown away. It was perfectly soft and every aspect of it has been perfected. Not too sweet cream cheese frosting, not too sweet filling. We also got the honey mustard chicken sandwich. So good- juicy chicken, excellent bacon. Top notch pickle. The iced and hot americanos were so good- smooth and Smokey. Didn't require any cream. Highly recommend stopping here. Saving it to our list in case we are in the area again!

Yelp
Pulled in to the restaurant's free parking at 8:27 pm, they close at 9:00. The staff was still helpful, friendly and very quick with our tea and meal fir dinner that we went back for breakfast. I will say it was SO windy and cold outside it was refreshing to see on the menu the white jasmine tea which has that floral, sweet, perfumed or sort of fragrant taste/smell. It was also served so hot we asked for a second cup to pour some out to cool it off. We ordered the Black bean burger, layered with cashew cheese, arugula, avocado, tomato on a roll not sour dough bread but delicious and oh-so-tasty! Get this if you are a vegan/vegetarian or just looking for something different! I ordered the grilled cheese, skip it... they serve it with a pickle and potato chips. The pickle was super crunchy but the griddled cheese had no flavor. The cashier, Emily, OMG, could not have been nicer if she tried !!!!! Asked me what kind of bread and cheese I wanted.... So my fault but maybe... try like the south... fried green tomatoes and grilled cheese or something... can charge more :) Well, we liked it and can back for breakfast. Get there EARLY! Got there at 8:30 packed! Got our coffee and latte in no time. Waited about :20 for our everything bagel sandwich (would recommend) eggs were moist, lots of flavor. We were told to order the Cinnamon roll French toast, skip it unless you love sugar and Mrs. Butterworth "maple" syrup yuck! Anyway, go, enjoy the staff, the drinks, the bagels and burgers!

Yelp
Honestly really wanted to like this place but I was really put down with the staff and the way I was treated here. My boyfriend and I went a few years prior and loved it but after taking our family back here recently, we were met with an awful experience that made us not want to come back. When we came in we were not greeted, but the families after us were. I figured it was probably just them being busy so I paid no mind. However, the workers started handing out menus for the other families to look at right in front of us. Weird. When we ordered, the worker did not say anything and just stared at us. She had a tone to her voice when we ordered and paid. We originally ordered togo because there was no space to eat, but a table cleared up so we asked for some plates. The girl that brought our food out to us frowned and said "like paper plates?" and reluctantly went to the kitchen to grab it. My family and I felt like we were treated very differently compared to everyone else, there was a Korean family that came in after us too and were met with the same expressions and tones compared to everyone else there. We observed the way they were treated to see if it was just us, but it seemed the workers that day had priority towards non-POC's. This was our second and last come coming here, even if the food is good.

Yelp
This was such an amazing little cafe! I love how it sissy off the side of the mountain to give you a most relaxing view! The decor was super nice! Service was super friendly food came out so quick and very clean! Food was super delicious! Would def be a regular place to visit if I lived there!
google avatar

Diana D.

Yelp
Such a cute Local coffee shop. I can see why this place is the "spot" for a lot of people. It's Beautiful. Such a great place to grab a coffee with a great View outside. You can have coffee and food outside to a nice view of Utah. Service was fast, definitely very busy, I do want to try their pizza next time! Pesto sandwich was good, I do wish it was bigger but that's ok. Drinks were good and their pizza is also very famous here but we were too early for it.

Yelp
If you're anywhere near La Verkin, River Rock Roasting Company is a must stop. Their mocha is easily one of the best I've had, rich chocolate flavor balanced perfectly with smooth espresso, not overly sweet, just spot on. I also tried the spinach blossom quiche and it was excellent: flaky crust, fresh spinach, and just the right amount of cheese and seasoning. The best part? My medium mocha and spinach blossom quiche together were only $9.70 with tax, which feels like a steal for the quality. Great food, great coffee, and a great price.

Yelp
This place is a sure stop when visiting areas outside Zion NP! Coffee is excellent, and they also offer many bakery selections, both sweet and savory. Also serve lunch/dinner and have a bar! Many cute artworks and clothing for sale. Service is quick and efficient!
google avatar

Haley H.

Yelp
While traveling to Zion, I struggled to find good, locally owned restaurants. I was so excited to find River Rock Roasting Co. It was everything I was looking for. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was everything you hope for. The pistachio latte was my absolute favorite! I went several days in a row for this drink! The bagel sandwich was the perfect breakfast before a long hike. Everything about the sandwich home made! The bagel bread is soft, the eggs are real (I cannot stand egg beaters or frozen eggs). The bacon was real (not microwaved) and the perfect amount of cheese! The porch views are amazing and a great way to enjoy your coffee and breakfast. Cannot recommend this place enough!
google avatar

Lauren N.

Yelp
I loved the coffee here!! Do not miss this place on your trip! The baristas were kind, it was cute and spacious in here. I ordered the coconut cold brew and it was tasty with good quality coffee. The coconut notes really come through. I also had the breakfast burrito--served hot with potatoes inside and a delicious spicy siracha aioli sauce. The melted cheese made it so delicious!
google avatar

Lydia A.

Yelp
I came here 4 years ago and had to come back again! The turkey bacon sandwich is so good and a great price. We also got a blueberry muffin homemade and it was huge and delicious even the next day. The pizzas and other items looked good too! Definitely would be my go to spot if I lived around here
google avatar

Teayah T.

Yelp
Service was good. The guy at the front Elijah, was nice & gave a recommendation to try the cinnamon roll. He said "it's solid". Which it was! Highly recommend trying their cinnamon roll! The view is stunning. Also very peaceful after a long hike.
google avatar

Dianna G.

Yelp
They have decent bagels but an amazing view, would definitely recommend checking out the view
google avatar

Allison E.

Yelp
Amazing spot their coffee is so good here I went home with three bags. As far as food goes we couldn't get past the cinnamon rolls, turkey bacon avocado melt and the ham and cheese croissant all three are incredible. Can't wait for another visit I will dream of this spot and it's incredible views.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Looks like a small random shack on the side of the road, but they have the best coffee I've had in a while with a great view from the patio. The coffee shop was packed with the line out the door, but didn't take too long to place my order and get my drinks. Didn't have much time to sit down and try any of the food since I was passing by, but can say the iced americano and iced oat-milk lattes is really good. Staff were great and they sell roasted beans for a decent price. Regret not buying some when I stopped by.
google avatar

Kathleen W.

Yelp
A dirty chai and a quiche were our selections and the dirty chai met expectations. The quiche was not up to par. It tasted very funky and would make a good choice for food if there were no options left and you are starving. Disappointing, nevertheless.

Will

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere - next time we are back in town we will definetley stop in. Got some coffee beans too, looking forward to trying those!
google avatar

Alexis M.

Yelp
What an amazing spot with an amazing view! We ate here for breakfast twice on our vacation to Zion. The coffee was tasty and the food service was quick and delicious. We had a variety of things and they were all recommendable, can't wait to be back!
google avatar

Nicho S.

Yelp
I am a coffee snob and I consider myself a professional when it comes to drinking coffee, lol and River Rock Toasting Co. has some dam good coffee! Decided to have a large cup, one of their baked goods and a breakfast burrito before hitting our hike at Zion. Everything was on point. I have no complaints. Location is great, food is good, excellent customer service and located in a great area Great place to have breakfast and a delicious dark roast coffee.
google avatar

Kyle W.

Yelp
I went here for a coffee break on the drive back from Bryce Canyon, and this place is also pretty close to Zion too. I got the latte, nothing special but regardless good drink. The biggest plus is that the outside seating offers great views of the canyons.
google avatar

Taylor V.

Yelp
I don't come to this area often, my parents moved here a few years back. When I am in town I always stop by River Rock Roasting Co. You really can't go wrong with any item. It is all so good. In the past I've had lattes, breakfast burritos, and quiche, but when I stoped by this past week I came for 2 things. 1. The bbq chicken pizza 2. Pineapple cream soda This is my go to lunch order, my mom ordered a burger, my aunt ordered a quiche and the turkey cranberry sandwich. They both said it was so good. My aunt declared that this is their new spot. The weather happened to be beautiful that day so we enjoyed our lunch on the patio where there is a stunning view. The service was fast and everyone is so friendly!
google avatar

Pierre S.

Yelp
Places is a great place for coffee and desserts. Also has very good quiche and bagels. Would highly recommend. Get there early. It gets crowded. Had a lot of good local advice on hiking as well.
google avatar

Kim l.

Yelp
Went back two nights in a row! Food was good but the view of the sunset was beautiful. We sat on the outside deck and watched the sun set after two days of long hikes at Zion. Burgers were good. The Margherita pizza was better than the truffle mushroom one. Beet salad was huge and yummy. Tuna melt was really good. There is not much dining selection in this area. Very happy to find this gem!
google avatar

Matthew R.

Yelp
Stop at River Rock Roasting for coffee or lunch, and take in some terrific views from the outdoor patio. I enjoyed my usual oat latte. For lunch I had the turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich. All was delicious. I must admit the sandwich plus chips was a little rich for my current diet, which is usually protein-rich with less fat and more fiber. That said, if you are looking for a solid panini sandwich with a side of chips, they have you covered!
google avatar

Susanne M.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee house. Our group stopped for coffee. I wish we hadn't eaten before because the food looked so good. The service was quick and very friendly. I ordered an iced mocha that was really good. A few others in the group grabbed pastries which they said were excellent. The back deck had a great view and I would recommend that you save room for their food.
google avatar

Maiko K.

Yelp
We passed by this place a couple of times and their parking was always full. So we had to check out and I'm so glad we did. Very cute cafe by the river. People were sooooo friendly there and just pleasant to deal with. My croissant sandwich was delicious. Also their coffee was very good we ended up buying a bag of coffee beans to take home. This is a must-visit place if you are ever in the area
google avatar

Bekah C.

Yelp
My all-time favorite coffee spot in Southern Utah. Hands-down. I can't get enough of it. Grabbing coffee and food and sitting outside on their deck/patio is my favorite thing to do when I'm in the area. The coffee is superb, the food is really good, and the service is the best you can get. I've only ever eaten here for breakfast but it never disappoints. The pastries/baked goods are ginormous but don't lack in quality. And the hot items are the perfect sustenance before a day of adventuring. RRRC is doing everything right.
google avatar

Brad M.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place and make sure to visit every time I'm in town! The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and everything I've had on the menu is yummy (quiches, cinnamon buns, bread pudding, pizzas, burgers, etc!!)!! It's great to go there on a weekday morning when it's quiet and stare at the surroundings. :)
google avatar

Shawn P.

Yelp
Absolutely excellent. I liked it so much I went two mornings in a row. Great food, drinks, and views outside. Great and super friendly service both days. Lots of business but didn't feel crowded or cramped. I am really looking forward to the coffee beans I bought too.
google avatar

Graciela C.

Yelp
I've been having River Rock coffee and pastries from their drive thru location and this is first time here. We had a good experience with the quiche and mixed berry muffin so we tried the more extended menu here. Their iced LATTE is good but not great. 3.5/5 because personally it needs a richer espresso for the extra hmph. Their medium HOT LATTE is bad. Lacks flavor and it is watered down. I recommend getting a double shot espresso and adjusting the milk by yourself. It's not a latte but it's the only way you can taste the beans. We also tried the AUNT BECKYS BODACIOUS BUN and it is a gigantic cinnamon bun with a soft cream cheese frosting. It is soft and fresh and pretty ok overall but it is a lot. It gets sweeter and sweeter with every bite so it is a better to share with at least 3 people if you must get this. Must get: BERRY MUFFIN. This is much better than the banana bran. Love this for pre hike carbs. Sweetness just right aka barely. HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT: it's a crispy panini pressed sandwich. 3.75/5 overall ok. Grilled cheese sandwich: terrible. It tastes as it looks. Dry and forgettable. 3 stars for the food and the nice view in the back.
