Everything at this East Passyunk corner spot is that thoughtful, especially their $85 tasting menu that changes regularly. Dishes utilize ingredients and combinations that you won’t see at a lot of other restaurants—we’re talking about things like chawanmushi toast with Maine uni and ricotta, or firefly squid escabeche. While most of the menu focuses on seafood, you can (and should) add on The Mother Rucker burger, which is the best in the city." - team infatuation

Every dish in the $75 four-course tasting incorporates a delicate little sauce or an infused oil that someone probably lost sleep over. These facts would normally point to a boring restaurant. But between the inventive food—often made with East Coast seafood and produce, Japanese and French techniques, and some Texas flair—and the handful of cooks scurrying around the open kitchen, you'll be pleasantly locked into your meal. But they also make Philly's best burger as an add-on element on Mondays only. It's straightforward—as a great burger should be. Two beef patties with crispy edges and perfectly pink middles are topped with cooper sharp, pickled red onions, a slathering of everything-seasoned mayonnaise, all between toasted sesame seed buns.
