I've been passing by this farmers market for years and never stopped in. It figures that I decide to drop by AFTER the growing season! But it didn't matter. The mix of products and people were great and it is Halloween! Bought olive bread from Orwashers, marinated mushrooms from Doc Pickle and a "New" used book from...somebody. I also got to hear my neighbor Wally perform. All in all it was a fun experience.

One farmer with some good vegetables etc. Hard to do a complete shopping to buy food for a family. They did have some speciality stands with chocolates, drinks etc which could tempt some buyers.

So conveniently located! Great vendors: kosher meats, Orwasher's Bakery delights, Dr. Pickle, organic farmers with organic veggies, Noble Pies, Kim's Farm with soups & kimchi, cheeses extraordinaire, hot chocolate, Smok'd bbq pit turning out fire-roasted rock cornish hens! And that's all happening at the winter market! Stop by and do [free] "Art with Kim"!

It is open but moved to new (temporary?) location (see attached photo) where there is much more space to maintain social distancing. You can use website to get time slot in 20 minutes slit size. Even with reservation there were long lines from previous time slots. To avoid lines and waiting you can pre-order from done vendors (check website) and pickup anytime from dedicated stand (no need to wait in line). Lines were shorter second week and everything moved faster second week :)

For a local market this is wonderful. Awesome, well priced produce from three vendors. The Cheese Guy is there and incredibly helpful with his full lineup all available to taste, two huge advantages over a grocery store. Kudos to his entire staff for their patience. Doc Pickle gets the same shout out. Some prepared food vendors look good but I have not purchased. Clothing donation and fabric recycling with easy drop off have been a weekly inspiration to clean and my closet and have not thrown out a single piece of fabric in the garbage this entire summer. I fear I will be lost when the season is over! Important note *** The market is open until 2:00 PM but get there before noon because after that the vendors are pretty much cleared out of stock. Another plus, this is in a covered vestibule of a public school so lovely on a clear day and covered on a rainy day. Can usually find a parking spot within two minutes if driving.

Great mostly home made food and veggies for all the community. End of July 2024 I was there and enjoy stopping by on Sundays. If you live close by you need to be here Sundays.

We moved to Riverdale a year ago, and so far, this has been my favorite discovery aboutthe neighborhood! This farmer's market is not very well known for some reason, but this is where we do our weekly grocery run. You can find pretty much everything you would need to eat a healthy, nutritious diet, with the added bonus of supporting our local vendors. The produce we purchase here lasts longer, too, because it is so fresh. I would recommend anyone interested in getting into the habit of supporting a farmer's market to come to this one. The vendors are all very knowledgeable and they share info, good tips, and will make suggestions on whatever you are getting seasonally. Check it out when you can, i am sure anyone would love it.

Google
Found parking across the street but there NO place to park. Other than that very expensive. Loads of products.

Yelp
Cute farmers market, I would say about 10-15 stands. They sell bread, lots of fruits and veggies, cheese, tea, prepared foods and different kinds of trinkets/jewelry/etc. There was live music for Halloween weekend and it's dog-friendly.

Yelp
The market and location is great. All of the vendors, except one, are pleasant to deal with. The one exception is The Cheese Guy. The man and woman working the stand are simply rude and nasty. Also, everything they sell can be bought in most markets for much less.

Yelp
The Market has become a "town square" with entertainment, children's activities, even holiday celebrations, along with fresh fruits and vegetables, ethnic foods and wonderful crafts for sale. It is terrific to see that people can bring used clothing, books and knickknacks to be sold, the proceeds going to programs for the needy. Health conscious, socially conscious, the Market addresses all that the community should be. Definitely five stars

Yelp
Overall, this is a great market, albeit a bit small and inconsistent with the vendors that show up. Love the new hummus stand and Lotsa Latkes (when they are there). Pickle guy is a solid favorite and there are several produce vendors to choose from. Also, for those who have to avoid dairy like moi, the Concklin stand has a great selection of non-dairy baked goods.

Yelp
I sell my one of a kind pieces of jewelry here. It's a great place to shop with great people.

Yelp
Yay for farmer's markets! Embarrassed to say that I have been living in Riverdale for almost 9 years, but I only went to this market for the first time 2 weeks ago. The market runs from mid-May thru November, every Sunday, from 9 to 2. Goods include: fresh fruit & veggies, fresh eggs, fresh yogurt & milk, cheese, baked goods, jewelry, local meats & more. It was a little quiet when I went, hoping / thinking it will get busier as the summer continues. I got some fresh eggs & spinach (PS. Did you KNOW how much work it is to de-stem fresh spinach?! But SO worth it!) Tips: - Some stalls accept credit cards, but most are cash only, so plan to have some on you. - Also, if you want to fit in, bring a re-usable bag. I forgot mine when I went and I felt like a loser!

Yelp
This market had fresh vegetables and fruit, it had my favorite French organic bakery, Bread Alone, and a nice fresh pastured egg stand. The eggs are from pastured chickens that are not fed GMO, and for $4 dollars a dozen, its a great deal. This market is seasonal, it ends sometime in November.

Yelp
The farmers market was a great idea and I know everyone loves it. From the tomato juice to the apple cider donuts everything rocks. Though the lemonade is a little pricey it's a great way to show other people what you know that your farm is worth. I really recommend the pickles they rock. And the jewelry. Garage sales... Ugh..... It makes you feel at home.

Yelp
I used to live in Brooklyn and was a member of the PSFC so finding organic fruits & vegetables at reasonable prices isn't as easy as it was there (but not having to deal with the ridiculousness of the place is a pleasure!) I found this place two weeks ago and I am totally enjoying the terrific pickles, concord grapes in season (it's a real short season, so hurry!) and gluten free challah and babka (not cheap, but really good!) I've had some good eggplant, onions, tomatoes and zucchini as well. It's a small market with a limited amount of vendors. I wasn't wow'd by it, but I'm glad to have it in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Not only is there fresh food and baked goods (both Kosher and non Kosher) they have now added music. Two weeks ago there was a concert by a local band the Traveling Jewburys and this week coming Tom Chapin is coming and will perform with local children
