We hung out at Riverfront Park on a Thursday evening and had an awesome time! Rented some Lime scooters and cruised around as the sun was setting — such a pretty time to be there. The park has great views and a really nice atmosphere. I only had a short time to explore, but it seems like there’s a lot more to do, so I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend stopping by or spending an evening here if you’re in Spokane!

Riverfront Park is absolutely beautiful — the waterfalls are stunning, and the gondola ride gives you amazing views of the river and city. It’s a perfect spot for walking, relaxing, and taking pictures. The only downside is that there are too many homeless people around, which can make certain areas feel uncomfortable. Other than that, it’s a must-visit for the scenery and attractions.

Iconic, Scenic, and Full of Photo-Worthy Moments – A Must-Visit in Spokane Riverfront Park is a spacious and beautifully designed urban park that offers a wide variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. From unique playgrounds and sculptures to multiple waterfalls, bridges, and scenic photo backdrops, there’s something to explore around every corner. One of our favorite features was the upper waterfall, which offers a dramatic view, especially from the large bridge that makes for the perfect photo opportunity. There are several bridges throughout the park, each offering different angles and perspectives of the falls and river. While some areas have limited shade, the park is ideal for a leisurely stroll, and the natural beauty combined with art installations makes it a must-see for anyone visiting Spokane. The lower waterfalls are smaller but still charming, and the park’s iconic views help capture the essence of the city. Another perk? The shopping mall right next to the park. On a hot day, it was a great place to cool off with full AC, grab a drink, and enjoy its modern, clean design. We especially appreciated the thoughtful lighting fixtures, photo spots, and how open and stylish it felt—definitely not your typical mall layout. Even better, My Fresh Basket—a health-focused grocery store—is conveniently located nearby. It’s a fantastic option if you want to grab fresh, organic food or snacks without eating out, especially for those on the go or watching their diet. With plenty of street parking and mall parking available, Riverfront Park is incredibly accessible and well worth the visit. Whether you’re there for the waterfalls, the photo ops, or just a peaceful walk, this park truly captures the heart of Spokane.

This is a great spot to check out in the middle of the city. Nice easy walking. Lots of stuff to see for everyone of all ages. History about the city. Play ground for kids. Water fountain to cool off by. Large out door cable structure, music venue Old vintage bridges over the amazing, multiple level falls on the river. A must see

Google
The park is a lively and picturesque destination, brimming with a variety of activities, captivating artwork, and meticulously maintained gardens and pathways that showcase breathtaking views of the landscapes and waterfalls. Security is readily available for your peace of mind. However, be aware that parking near the park is limited, with fees starting at $5.

Google
Awesome place for a walk around the river. Great pathways on both signs. We enjoyed the crossing bridges. There are lots of green areas and parks to enjoy the outdoors. Loved exploring the area and even saw a deer in the center river area.

Google
Beautiful Park! Thoroughly enjoyed walking through and taking in all the beautiful scenery. Very clean and well maintained. So much to see and do. Fun for kids! Our kids loved the unique playground and red wagon slide. Keep your eye out for yellow bellied marmots on the rocky areas near the river. They are so cute!

James S.

Google
Riverfront park is a must visit to me. It is beautiful and during events like today, “pig out in the park” it has so much to experience. Even a calm quiet day it is great to see beautiful things and has a nice park for kids to enjoy.

Yelp
Classic Spokane. Full of life and awesome attractions. They have a metal garbage goat that eats trash. They have a giant wagon with a built in slide. They have a beautiful brick building next to the waterfall with a giant mural and a delish restaurant inside. Lots of kid parks. Especially beautiful at night.

Yelp
In town for a conference and both nights the evening parties were at Riverfront Park. This is a great space with lots of beauty, attractions and history to offer. My favorites were spending time on the cable car to see the 'falls' and the Pavillion. Super accessible via Lime scooters and easy to navigate on foot!

Yelp
This park has something for everyone!! Handicap accessible parking and trails lead into beautiful landscaped walkways and bridges. Multiple playgrounds, shady trees for picnics, benches to soak in the river and dam, art exhibits, and informative postings, this is the spot to be. I took 5 of my kids ranging 1 year to 16 yrs to the Riverfront. We spent 2 hours there and had so much still we could have explored. If sky rides and carousels catch your fancy, you can do that too.
google avatar

Yelp
What a place to visit! Clean! Bright! Well lit at night! Options for all ages! River, bike trails, ice skating, carousel, gondola that takes you over the falls, huge play ground and in an area where you all feel safe!!!
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Our first time here with our younger kids. The park was clean and had a lot of unique features! We walked the bridges in a circle to the opposite side of the water which was also beautiful. Found another huge playground for the kids with a monsterous sand play area. There are a lot of homeless downtown and I expected to see some at the park but it was vacant of any homeless, trash or other. Great place to visit especially with kids!
google avatar

Yelp
I will say this park offers much entertainment. Sometimes they do art shows, music shows , fairs, markets, etc. Plenty of walking and sightseeing. Loved the waterfalls in September. We did do the Numerica SkyRide (gondola) ride. I'd say it isn't worth the cost, 12ish a person. They should consider lowering the price. Overall, it was fun to visit and they have very beautiful landscaping! Close to shopping and dining.
google avatar

Yelp
Riverfront Park is a beautiful park in the heart of downtown Spokane. Riverfront Park has plenty to offer for people of all ages. Playgrounds and a carousel for kids, the big red Flyer wagon too! Miles of hiking trails along the river and throughout the park. For a bird's eye view take a tour on the SkyRide. Catch one of Spokane's warm and sunny days and take a picnic to Riverfront Park or enjoy one of the many restaurants or eateries in the area.

Yelp
Visiting some family, we decided to take a drive & visit this park we've heard so much about. It is a very nice park & we were delighted to see the geese, ducks & other birds wandering around. The carousal was cute & apparently the hit of the party, it was quite full. Their gift shop was very nice, full of items to have as a keepsake. The Mrs was disappointed to see the smashed penny souvenir machine (2 of them) were out of service. When she asked about them to one of the groundskeepers, he found three smashed pennies & gave them to her! The water feature was very nice on such a warm day. And the shaded, grassy area by the clock tower was a great place to take a break. I don't think you could see the entire park in one day. The trails, the playground & more would keep you busy for quite awhile. Very nice park & great staff.

Yelp
Built for the World's Fair, this park is really one of the best in the nation. It stretches and connects to a broader trail system. The falls are remarkable and in their own way comparable to Niagara. Overall, the park has a lot to offer and this is a nice centerpiece for Spokane to show off.

Yelp
Great park. Just want to point out that people should use good judgement and maintain awareness here as there is a notable community of folks using the park for drug and/or criminal activity, and/or just mentally unwell people hanging out. A small percentage, but it impacts the experience and needs to be said because the majority of the reviews are glowing which may create a false impression. Last Wednesday from 5pm to 7:30pm at the big playground: I saw a guy not moving, staring into space for 15 mins who was ultimately carted away in a stretcher from an ostensible overdose. As he is being wheeled away a guy walks up and is screaming bloody murder into his phone for a few minutes, yelling about pedophiles and assaults. As the sun sets, the same guy starts pacing circles around the picnic benches chanting loudly about hexes and the devil, casting protection spells ostensibly. He had a tool case set on the bench, inside was a black glass orb sitting on a pedestal. Finally, we go to leave and a group of young people are shouting and swearing so loud I could hear them 2 blocks away. All this within 2.5 hours on a weeknight afternoon / early evening. Suffice it to say the short time I was there was like a greatest hits sample of all the crap downtown Spokane has to offer, and I had my young children with me, because, you know, it's a playground. I tried posting this with more detail, and all the screamed language in quotes, but I think it was getting flagged and pulled down repeatedly. Use your best judgement when visiting the park and be forewarned that it's not a squeaky clean wonderland. You gotta maintain awareness, keep your bags close, hide valuables in your trunk, not engage with weird random encounters etc.

Yelp
Clean and safe! Fun park for children (or adults) and beautiful views of the river! A lot to offer from parks, skating, and amusement with fun restaurants nearby. Directions can be confusing!!!!

Yelp
Huge and wonderful park with lots of activities! My friend and I walked through for hours and I still didn't see it all. We walked and walked on a perfect June day. We had fun with the garbage goat, took silly pictures in the photo booth, checked out the carousel, rode the gondolas, walked by Gonzaga University, saw geese and beaver, the huge water feature, a radio flyer, a clock tower, water, bridges, and much more! Definitely a full and fun day!

Yelp
Let's just start with the most important thing... Come visit! You'll love it! I visited Spokane last week and spent three of my four days exploring the park. Stay at one of several hotels bordering the park and you'll be walking distance to playgrounds, science, a carousel, a library, a tram ride, shopping and many eating opportunities. There are also many geocaches and Adventure Labs in the park - fun for families or individuals. If you come on a Tuesday you'll find an interesting selection of food trucks including Surge Coffee (delish!), a cute blue truck whose owners donate to local charities. I travel alone (I'm 62) and felt perfectly safe there. While you're there be sure to see: *The garbage eating goat *The giant red wagon *The clock tower *The Ice-age playground *The chalk art area under the bridge

Yelp
This park is in the middle of downtown Spokane and has a lot of family friendly activities, including a carousel and a water play area. There's also a playground on the northern end of the park which has more parking than the southern end. If you are on the southern end there's going to be limited street parking and some garage parking. There is a long path where you can walk through the park and go through a bridge that overlooks Spokane Falls. You'll see tons of those Lime scooters and you'll see people riding them throughout. This is a nice place to walk around with lots of stuff to do.
google avatar

Steven T.

Yelp
Awesome playground, walking paths, views, heated restrooms and plenty of restaurants in walking distance!
google avatar

Gillian S.

Yelp
Beautiful park with great restaurants nearby! Parking is available but you must pay by the hour. I believe it's about $5 each increment. Be wary when walking the centennial trail though! Some violent vagrants like to hang out under the bridges and throughout the park. Ignore them and the usually leave you alone, but occasionally you might be followed or threatened.
google avatar

Yelp
The new Ice Age Flood Playground is amazing. HIGHLY recommended. I miss the Worlds Fair Butterfly but the kids sure love the playground. Riverfront park is such an amazing place to go. I grew up here and have watched it change in the last 40+ years and it just seems to get more and more beautiful. Fun for everyone in the family. I used to frequent the flour mill all the time and it is sad to see how empty that building is now.

Yelp
This park is magical. Maybe it is because for the last year I have been separated from crowds so the sounds of laughter, of music, of cheerful conversation nourished my soul. Maybe it was because it was the perfect beginnings of spring when the sun makes its appearance gently warming the air, birds were singing, but flowers haven't yet bloomed. Maybe it was because of the variety - this park has so much! It is a very open, walkable park with wide paved trails that easily meander through the area. There's points of interests like the Garbage Goat that is noted on bright, fun signs. The amphitheater with the colorful lights at night was marvelous. The Skyride is a must for the tourist who wants to see the surprisingly active Spokane Falls - honestly that caught me off guard. It was raging the day I took the Skyride over it. Sure, the wait was 50 minutes but it was understandable considering COVID cleaning protocols and one sole employee cleaning, prepping, taking tickets, providing the safety briefing, helping people out, letting people in, and doing everything else. I mean Jason was working nonstop! The view was amazing and it was a pleasant ride. I know I did not get to see most of the park. A short overnight trip meant for a brief gathering. It was an excellent park and one I hope in the future I get to see more!

Yelp
Beautiful park which deserves to be the crown jewel of Spokane! The distinctive Radio Flyer slide will burn your butts in the summer and stick to them in the winter but hey... FUN! Adults and history buffs will enjoy reading about the Old Clock Tower and effort to save it all those years ago in 1974 Exposition.
google avatar

Melody S.

Yelp
So much to do here!!! See the beautiful rushing waterfalls, multiple parks for the kids, water for kids to play in, ducks/geese to feed, plenty of walking. In the late summer blackberries as we saw a ton of blooming blackberry bushes!
google avatar

Stephanie F.

Yelp
I really enjoyed walking around the park. The roar of the water as you got closer to the river and falls was pretty cool. It's definitely worth at least a short stroll around here.
google avatar

Yelp
Oh my goodness, what a treat for the entire family ! Our fur babe enjoyed this space too! You can count on having mutt bags to clean up your fur babes messy-stuff. There is climbing, walking paths, playground, and riverfront views! If you need a place for any photographing options, this is your spot! Expect to pay for parking. The first hour is 4$. It was worth it. The playground and walking paths are clean. There are stations with little baggies to use for your dog matter - IYKYK. Have fun at the park!

Kelly B.

Yelp
The gondola ride was a waste of time and money. Beyond disappointing. We spent more time suspended in midair not moving. The self guided tour was barely audible. Don't waste your time on this money trap.

Bare Clan 2.

Yelp
Large urban park with a fantastic playground, basketball courts, a skate park, a historic carousel, and a gondola ride! Worth a visit!
google avatar

Carolen M.

Yelp
As we were staying in Spokane for day, our family went out on a drizzly day right across the street to Riverfront Park. It's a nice little stretch of grass and artwork on the river for kids to play at the Carousel area, garbage goat and giant redflyer. Also just a nice walk for a post dinner stroll as it's just outside the mall. You can also take the Sky Ride or skate at the park though the sky ride is kind of short. There was also a water balloon man in the center square area. It was kind of freezing but the kids love those large balloons. Definitely check it out if you're in the area to get away from the commercial and city sprawl.
google avatar

Jamie C.

Yelp
I took a quick walk over here the day after the snow storm. Very cute, I wish it wasn't literally in between the ice skating end date and before the sky ride opens again. Great place to walk around.

Yelp
This park has always held a place in my heart since I moved here in 1993. It seems I find myself here quite often whether with my dog for a walk, my running group, or for a festival, this park always offers something around every corner. It has changed over the years but is definitely a place to add to your list whether visiting or as a Spokane resident. Skate the ribbon in the winter, walk the trails in the fall, take the gondola, or view the spectacular falls. This beautiful park in the heart of the city offers a lot.
google avatar

Sabrina L.

Yelp
My daughter and granddaughter lives in Spokane. My family purposefully picked a hotel in downtown Spokane to explore the area. We took our granddaughter to Riverftont Park and she loved it! We went down the giant wagon slide, ran in the water splash area, fed the trash eating goat, looked at the Spokane Falls, walked across some bridges and her favorite was the beautiful carousel. She wasn't sure what we were talking about when we told her we were going to the Merry Go Round. Since she is 2, she got to ride free. She loved it and we ended up going to Riverfront Park 2 days in a row. It's a great park, even for adults! Make sure you find time in your day to spend a few hours here. They even have a gondola that goes over the falls so you can get a different view. Check out if they have anything special going on. The evening we went there were a ton of people dressed up only to find out a country concert was alot to start. They have food truck days, movies in the park as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice park, the homeless aren't too bad in the daytime. Prob wouldn't want to be in there at night.
google avatar

Matt U.

Yelp
This is probably the coolest park that we've ever been to, based on the size, eclecticness of the activities, and the access to downtown. When we were looking for activities in Spokane, this was the one place that we were consistently told we needed to go to and it did not disappoint. We came here two day in a row and spent a good 3 hours here each time. Located right on the river, it's got a great array of trails, stuff to climb on - including a giant radio Flyer wagon and some oversized building blocks, A really cool area to overlook the river and the hydroelectric plant, as well as a gondola ride if you please! There's also a carousel but only cost two dollars to ride as well as a small spot to grab some food and a splash pad for the kids to run around in during the summer. You can tell this place was really thought out well! Don't forget the metal goat that sucks up trash from your hand! (It's just outside the Carousel building) Parking is available across the bridge or just off downtown. Depending on where you're going, we found plenty of different options. If you have kids, the children's museum and the science museum are just off the park and made for some great additional entertainment. Seriously, you could spend a week here and not get bored. If you've got the chance, you need to come check this place out!
google avatar

Mandie H.

Yelp
Riverfront Park is very nostalgic for me. It's venues and uses have changed over the years but the things that haven't changed are the Spokane River, the Falls, Gondola, and the cute ducks that usually come here unless it is really cold. I know we shouldn't feed them bread but it's fun, they like it, and I recommend it! (Oh and the Carousel is still there, just an all-around great place to take kids). It's a great place to walk, jog and run. I prefer to stay at hotels close to the park for this reason. I come here everytime I come to Spokane.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a glorious park right in the heart of downtown Spokane! I used to live within walking distance of it, and I would frequently make the trek up the hill to go for walks. Highlights: MARMOTS: those massive, fatty, squirrel-esque looking things are yellow bellied marmots. They are really friendly, and not at all camera shy. Monroe Street Bridge: beautiful gothic bridge. Bring a tripod and photograph away! Events and festivals: on the weekends, there is almost always something going on. Suction Goat: look it up, it has its own Yelp page.
google avatar

Craig B.

Yelp
Spokane has created a nice park on what is essentially a peninsula on the river in downtown Spokane. Based on my bike ride through the park, there seemed to be a lot of segments of the park with their own unique purpose: a grassy lawn for sports and running around, a military memorial, a small pavilion to have lunch, a larger pavilion for music, viewing platforms over the river, a lawn bowl for sitting on the grass and looking out over the river, and I imagine many more segments that I didn't see. It was as if they wanted to create something for everyone and every purpose, but I never felt a continuing feature through the entire park. It was as if they had placed different puzzle pieces together that did not go with the same puzzle. I don't have a history with Spokane so I can't say what it was like before the park was created. This is probably a vast improvement from prior uses of the peninsula, but I can't say for sure. I'm just glad that this area is a park and not full of Holiday Inn's and Subways, which is what would happen if it was open for developers. One unique feature that I had never seen before was the metal sculpture in the middle of the river, a location that usually is not reserved for art. I couldn't quite tell what it was, which is the case for most modern art. I like to think that it was a portrait of the intermingling of animals, nature, and people in downtown Spokane.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Riverfront park was beautiful! Nice to walk around at for sure. Not many cities have waterfalls right in the center or gondolas over said waterfall. The park was pretty empty on a Monday night. Not sure if that was because of covid or what but it was nice being able to explore without crowds.
google avatar

Glen N.

Yelp
A stop on my roadside attractions road trip through seven states, the slick, downtown Riverfront Park has the Big Red Wagon, a fun photo op that serves as a slide. So if you need to get on the wagon, come here.

Yelp
I love Riverfront Park. It really is the best part of Spokane. I've spent many days here, having gone to college in the area and 10 years later it's even better. The Riverfront Park is located in downtown Spokane and most likely if you've seen a postcard of the Spokane skyline, it encompasses the Riverfront Park. There's something for everyone here. There's a large lawn for picnicking and laying out, views of the falls that you can walk to, a sky gondola that you can ride on, the world's largest Radio Flyer, a goat that literally vacuums trash, a historic carousel, ice and roller skating, etc... They have it all here. My bestie and I recently visited Riverfront Park and were in awe by the improvements made here. They're still doing construction, as part of the renovation projects to make it so that the river and falls are more accessible for visitors, by building a walkway with observation decks. I'm excited to visit again when it's all finished. Riverfront Park is a time well spent in Spokane. Come for the views and stay for the space. It's a beautiful and accessible park for all to enjoy, and is the one place you should visit in Spokane.

Yelp
This place is so beautiful, so relaxing and a very nice walk. Chasing the waterfall all around was fun and a pretty walk. There are benches to sit around to hear or look at the waterfall. Seemed very safe. Underneath the bridge there were soMe homeless people hanging out but other than that it was great!
google avatar

Mason D.

Yelp
Riverfront Park has changed over the years. I remember as a wee lad going down the Radio Flyer slide. Now there is so much more to explore. The park in the north is expansive and entertaining for kids, teenagers, and adults. The bridges are well kept and beautiful, and the pavilion catwalk is breathtaking. Spokane City has obviously out their heart and soul into this park and it has PAID OFF.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a beautiful park located in the heart of downtown Spokane. Parts of the Park are under construction by the City of Spokane. Both improvements snd great changes are currently underway snd there is some construction. A beautiful path surrounds the park complete with a play area fir kids and beautiful views of the upper and lower Spokane River Falls. Gorgeous landscaping snd the spring flowers snd crido, fresh Aur was fabulous!

Yelp
A fun downtown park with many things to do. A must go place to have a relaxing day, early morning walk, a ride on the carousel, skating or riding a scooter. There is something to do in every season. You can grab from food stalls or nearby cafes and have picnic or just stroll/walk run. The kids Nd parents seem to enjoy themselves. They keep the grounds clean and maintained. The carousels pavillion recently renovated and state ribbon is fun. The gondola rides over the Spokane fall is a thrilling experience

Yelp
If you want to walk to burn off some calories, then this is the right place for you. Just kidding! Well, I am somehow serious about this as well. Anyway, it is a nice walk for you to destress and wak around to look at the Spokane River. There's also the famous or infamous trash-eating goat that my friend really wanted me to see. It is like a vacuum, but hey... it's quite fun to imagine you'd feed trash to a ... goat. When I was there in February 2017, the park still had some construction going on, and I believe the carousel was not open. The ice-skating rink was open. I'm sure there'll be more fun things happening during the summer.
google avatar

Yelp
What a little hidden gem of Spokane! I was looking for the river and this park cuts through parts of the river! There's something for everyone at this park. October 2015 there's a Chinese Lantern Festival. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to get up close and personal since it wasn't open until evening hours. However, I took note of what could have been. My visit was on a Monday around lunch time and LOTS of people power-walked through, while some chit-chatted and walked, I even saw people reading. I actually just parked myself on a bench and people watched, not in a creepy way of course. I used the park to get to the downtown area of the shops/restaurants. At the edge of the park is a life-size red wagon and other artwork of life-size "runners." One of the best times to visit is during fall and see some of the leaves change color! I highly recommend this park to visitors!

Yelp
Fun Beautiful Park With Seasonal Attractions SITREP This 100 acre Riverfront Park is one of the true gems of Spokane that has had staying power for many decades. I actually first came here as child in 1974 (almost 40 years ago and I was impressed with the beauty of the park and the themes then. SETUP What is nice about this park set right on the Spokane River (hence the "Riverfront" part if you're staying up with the class), is that it has evolved so well to meet the community needs since it's founding in 1974. EXPO '74 At the time, Spokane was the smallest city in the world to have ever hosted a "Worlds Fair", but "The World's Fair Expo '74" DID in fact come to Spokane amidst a lot of international concern that Spokane did not have the infrastructure to host such a big event. In fact, many country's did not come and many others scaled down their exhibitions. However, nations that proudly came to EXPO '74 included Australia, Canada, West Germany, Iran, Japan, the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Republic of Korea, and the USSR. Because of reciprocal treaties, the pavilions of each nation ARE in fact the national jurisdiction of each respective nation during the duration of a World's Fair. I am actually bemused by the fact that while at this fair, I visited both West Germany and the USSR, two nations that do not exist today. Though other EXPOs usually emphasized advances in technology - such as the introductions of the telephone and the escalator - Spokane's Expo focused more on the environment. However, one important piece of tech DID emerge from this Expo that we all enjoy today and that was the creation of the first IMAX theatre here in Spokane. DELIGHTFUL REMNANTS Post-Expo, there are some wondrous attractions that had their genesis with the Expo that still remain: the amphitheatre, the convention hall, the 100 year carousol (that had been moved from a previous location to it's current site during the Expo), and the Clock Tower. I love this clock tower and it's been very interesting to see me age these last 40 years with each successive picture taken in front of that structure. ICE SKATING When I hit Spokane most of the time these days, it is usually in the winter months, and THAT is a great time to go hit the Ice Rink at Riverfront Park. And unlike the rink at St. Rose of Lima here in Sacramento that is totally seasonal, the rink in Riverfront is a more fixed structure and engages in a more serious business of giving ice skating lessons, and is BIG enough to host some pretty impressive (amateur) ice hockey games. THE LOWDOWN In terms of community value, this is probably one of my favorite accessible fun parks in the world.

Yelp
550th review! Was in Spokane for the weekend and had been told by many to check out Riverfront Park and I'm so glad I did! Riverfront Park is smack dab in the middle of Spokane , well to me it is, it seemed like it was, there was building all around it, so when I started exploring the park, I didn't realize there was so much too it. And even though the city life is around you, you don't feel it and are at peace in the park. There is a Pavilion Amusement Park that has fun rides for kids to enjoy and history too, some parts of that area are from the 1974 World Expo, I find it kind of neat to find areas that have those structures still up and then sad because I never got to experience something grand like that. Well in my head the World Expos sounded grand. You also can find the Looff Carrousel, it was built in 1909, and it's still a lovely today, when you hear the music and see the horses go around and around the little kid in you wants to go for a ride! This carrousel has 54 horses, which each horse has a split personality, on the outside (the side you see visually ) the horse is painted with extreme detail making it look like the fanciest horse on the ride, on the inside of the horse is just a plain painted horse, no flash or thrill, but how cool is that? It also has 1 giraffe, 1 tiger and 2 chariot benches if riding the horses isn't your thing to do. Not to far from the carrousel you will see Riverfront Rotary Fountain, oh this looks like a fun time waiting to happen, I bet it's a hit during the summer, I'm sure if it was warmer I too would be running around it, its like a huge sprinkler made for adults but it's for everyone. There are plenty of walk ways, bridges, and sidewalks too, regardless if you bike, walk, run, you too can enjoy the park. Don't forget to check out the Clocktower, stands 3 stories tall, was started in 1901 and finished in 1902 and to this day it still rings out the time. Heard a technician climbs 5 stories to check the clockworks and turns the crank 99 times to rewind the clock each week to keep the clock going. Oh and the larger than life Radio Flyer, how can the kid inside you not get excited by this, and don't worry, you too can climb up into it with the kids, there is plenty of room! Another fun feature of the park is the trash eating goat, yes I know your thinking aren't all goats trash eaters haha well at least that's what I thought, but this is a sculpture that when you push a button turns in a vacuum and sucks up the trash in your hand, saw plenty of kids having fun with this. Riverfront also has a sculpture walk and you can see the many art works throughout the park, I really liked the joy of running, it's a group of runners running along the edge of the park. And if you're feeling like a dare devil, jump on one of the skyride gondola's and ride over the Spokane Falls, for me this was a ton of fun, liked seeing the city from a different point of view, and enjoyed watching the water fall off the cliff. It was very easy to forget I was in the middle of a city. Riverfront Park has lots for everyone to do; I am very thrilled to have had the chance to check it out. You could easily spend hours in this park and feel like you haven't seen it all. It's a great attraction for the city of Spokane.

Yelp
Right by DT Spokane, this park is awesome. Wear your walking shoes bc there are tons of cement and gravel paths to follow.. So many Bridges to cross.. Tall trees.. And of course the roaring water below! I appreciate spots like this, it truly is a peaceful place to visit. Peaceful, yes, but the kids will also enjoy this place. There's a small "train" you can ride that will take you around the park. Also a skyride that does a little loop close to the water, above the steps. One thing I have to comment on, is the enormous amount of Mosquitos that are hovering around some areas, especially by the water... Walk with your mouths closed! There's also a little amusement park area, I didn't check out.. Just a couple blocks away is Starbucks and some other stores too. I'm glad I was able to visit while in town!

Yelp
Great place to spend the day when visiting Spokane! Lots of walking paths or biking if that's your thing. So much to see.... the giant wagon, runner sculptures, the auction goat, etc. bring bread to feed the ducks and Canadian geese. For $2 a ride or $5 unlimited wrist band ride the historic carousel built in 1909. Just a fabulous place to visit!

Yelp
We are considering relocating to the Spokane area and were exploring the downtown. Riverfront Park left us with a good first impression. On a weekday in July, the park was full of families and couples strolling. We saw occasional police patrols and felt very safe. The park was clean and inviting. Most of the attractions (carrousel, open air arena) were still closed due to Covid but the playgrounds were accessible and there was even an ice cream truck. The only negatives were considerable construction along the river making part of the part unusable and some hateful drawings and slogans on the steps. The graffiti was in chalk, not spray paint so I am hoping it won't be permanent. We did see some homeless, but less than in most larger cities.
