"Restaurateur Christopher Bredesen opened Riviera Mexican Cantina in Redondo Beach on May 6, in a prime waterfront location. The venue offers coastal Mexican cuisine with dishes like shrimp taquitos, lobster enchiladas, and birria quesatacos. The interior features vaulted wood ceilings, white paint, new blonde wood floors, and wicker chandeliers and chairs, all designed to provide an oceanfront view from every angle. The drink menu includes nine types of margaritas and other agave-based cocktails." - Rebecca Roland

Wow! What an experience. From the amazing food, great views to the customer service, you cannot go wrong with this spot. The staff is legit so attentive, happy, kind and great at what they do. Truly operating as a team which is SO refreshing to see! Thank you for the great experience, tasty meal and fantastic drink! Will def be bringing my mom here when she comes to visit 😍

My husband and I enjoyed our dining experience. The service was excellent, with Frank and Vincent providing recommendations. Frank was great ensuring that our dining experience was amazing. The view of Redondo Beach was breathtaking, and the cool ocean breeze added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant.

Google
What a great Mexican restaurant! The food was fresh and amazing! We had the queso and shrimp and steak fajitas which were the best! Try their 3 margarita flight drinks! All were perfect and will go back!

The hostess was incredibly rude to all the guests. I had made a reservation and requested a patio seat, but despite the patio being mostly empty, she refused to seat us at our desired table, claiming it was reserved. Strangely, no one was seated in that area until we were getting ready to leave. Her attitude ruined the entire experience. While the food looked great, it lacked flavor. The $15 queso dip tasted like nothing more than melted Monterey cheese with no real depth of flavor. I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was bad enough to warrant it. Only go if you’re interested in a nice view from the patio, assuming you can get a seat.

Google
BEAUTIFUL DECOR... that's it!! The food was SO BAD it doesn't deserve to be rated. The octopus taco was literally meat and tortilla. I had to request the additional ingredients that you see on the taco. The beans made me LITERALLY gag. They tasted like dirty dishwater and were not seasons at all. Horrible culinary experience in a gorgeous facility.

Google
Beautiful place to eat great Mexican food and great drinks .We went to Redondo Beach ⛱️ with guest from Milwaukee here to visit for the first time and we saw this beautiful place with views to the Ocean. We were a party 8 and the hostess greated us and got us all a beautiful table with open windows to feel the breeze. We had excellent service and amazing food .We will definitely come back just for the restaurant.

Google
My husband and I visit Redondo beach often, we like to try new places to eat when in town. Never have I ever left a negative review. Today, we went in at around 1:30, it wasn’t busy at all and we opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was very cold, slamming items, we just ordered drinks and queso blanco to start off. After the vibe we just opted to leave. She must have been having a bad day, very negative and rude to the customers there at the time. 🙁

Google
So happy this place opened up just in time for our bachelorette celebration. We were welcomed by the amazing staff who were just so good to us! Our server brought all the great vibes and energy! The food and drinks were good but the view and vibes were priceless. So excited to have this new spot in the neighborhood, we will definitely be coming back to try more items from the menu.

Yelp
Thanks so on RMC for giving my family member a spectacular birthday surprise. We had a great time. Food was very good and service was extraordinarily efficient and friendly. I had the carne asada burrito. It looked huge when it was in front of me. Actually it was huge but I finished the whole thing. That's new for me because I usually eat in moderation. The meat was tender and cooked properly. Thanks to all the staff for such a nice special evening.

Yelp
finally made it to riviera mexican cantina. been wanting to check it out since summer... made rez via opentable for 3 my girlfriends and i met for our holiday dinner midweek i wish it wasnt so dark by 530pm bc we would have loved to have that ocean view.. but that just means we gotta come back earlier in the day.. it wasnt busy when we arrived we were sat right away the restaurant was clean and inviting we ordered: shrimp taquitos as a starter to share entrees: grilled shrimp fajitas crispy chicken tacos street tacos dessert: churros everything was so good! huge portions also, complimentary chips & salsa side note: the salsa is sooooo delicious!! friendly service, relax vibes and overall a really good experience! parking: metered street parking or a huge lot but its a paid lot. the restaurant does validate! $2 for 6 hrs

Yelp
Came with my friends tonight (party of six). Experienced top service from our waiter and server. I shared the chicken & carne fajitas with the birthday girl. Delish. The whole party was enjoying their meal and their large margarita with gran marnier Sadly, a friend went into distress. We tried the Hiemlic. Nothing we tried worked. Paramedics were called and she eventually was taken to the ER. The staff here was so kind and supportive and ended up comping our meal as we dashed to follow the ambulance. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and support. I will definitely be back. They deserve my patronage.

Yelp
New upscale Mexican restaurant with elegant dishes and Stellar views! The patio is right on the water overlooking seaside lagoon on the right. Excellent attentive service with friendly staff. We ordered their humongous burrito (bigger than El Tepeyac's famous one!) which was served wet including mole sauce, and skirt steak enchiladas. Delicious and huge portions. One thing I hope they improve is their floors. They're extremely slippery--be careful! We watched an elderly man have a fall that required paramedics attention, plus some of the staff members said that the slippery floors have been a problem with other guests since they opened a short time ago. They have a stunning water view private room venue with its own private entrance, but until they fix the slippery floors I wouldn't want to rent it out.

Yelp
I recently visited Riviera Mexican Cantina with my family for dinner, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is fantastic, right by the water, providing stunning views, especially from the bar area. We started with cocktails; I ordered the horchata, which was like Christmas in a cup!! The margarita I tried was strong and refreshing. For entrees, we shared fajitas, the molcajete, and a quesadilla. I had the flank carne asada with rice and beans. While the flank steak was tasty, I found the protein portions a bit on the smaller side. The staff was friendly, and the vibe of the establishment was inviting. I'm definitely planning to return, especially to try the hibiscus margarita that was sold out during my visit. Overall, a solid dining experience!

Yelp
I went to this restaurant for my sister's birthday recently. I made reservations on OpenTable and they were thankfully able to accommodate me to sit outside to enjoy the view. My first advice is, go an hour or so before sunset. I will start with service. Our server was Frank and his personality was top-tier and then to find out that he has only been there for two weeks was shocking because he was very personable and attentive. He tried his hardest to make suggestions and accommodations. Thank you Frank! The food and the drinks... The sangria and the Tamarindo margarita were so good! I definitely need to try more off of the menu. Now for the food. Fresh ingredients and good portion for the price but... a few complaints are: I'm afraid some things are premade due to no modification being able to be made. For the guacamole, I was not able to modify or take anything out. And the guacamole didn't stand out on its own to us. Then I do not eat meat, and there are not many options on the menu for nonmeat eaters . I want cheese enchiladas with no spinach and they cannot do that because I was informed that the enchiladas are already made. I don't know how I feel about that. Thankfully was able to modify a kids mail for me because that was my last option. I ordered the queso and it was probably one of the worst queso I've ever had. There was no flavor and the texture of it was completely off. Not worth the $16 that they are charging in my opinion. The chips and salsa are really good and unlimited. My sister said the chicken enchiladas were good. My mom got the beef fajitas and all of the veggies looked fresh. It just sucked that two remakes to get her order correct. All in all, I will go back and I hope to try more things, and hopefully they will be able to add new things to their menu in the future

Yelp
10/10!!! This place is a trendy upscale Mexican restaurant right on the water. I dare you to try and find something wrong with that. The food is super tasty and the portions are huge! The bartenders work magic, the drinks are delicious and so well balanced. The service is over the top phenomenal. Our server, Gloria, went above and beyond and made us feel like we were her family. The entire energy at Cantina is vibrant and positive! We can't wait to come back!

Chris G.

Yelp
First time drinking/dinning at the newly opened Riviera Mexican Cantina. The restaurant has been transformed into a very bright and chic Beach-Mex spot. Just about every table in the restaurant has an amazing marina/ocean view. We sat at the bar to enjoy a few drinks during our weekend bike ride. I had the Riviera Cantina Blonde Ale Draft ($9.00), and my wife had the Hibiscus Strawberry Margarita ($13.00). We also enjoyed a complimentary basket of chips and salsa, which was good. Note that the location is not visible from the street, if going by car, you need to enter the pay lot. We really enjoyed the location and view, next time we will try the food.

Nia L.

Yelp
This place was recommended for lunch. I'm not sure if it's a newly opened location or the name changed; but I was surprised there was a Mex Spot in Redondo with a beautiful view of the water. The first impression of any Mexican spot are the chips/salsa that's served. So it pains me to say I was very disappointed. The chips tasted stale and maybe a bit too oily. It seems maybe they were warmed up multiple times. I sent the basket back and the next one was the same. The food was a bit bland in comparison to other Mexican Food spots, so that was a bit disappointing. It looks good but just missed the mark on flavor. Now the drinks were really good. So I'd probably recommend going for happy hour. There's a paid parking lot and the restaurant validates. I need a half star option because the food was blah; but the view was great

Yelp
A big nope. After a beach walk, decided to get an early bite to eat. First, my husband visited the men's room: no soap, overflowing trash cans, big puddles under the urinals. This is at 5:15 on a Saturday, not even dinner hour yet. Gross. Dinner: very good charro beans & good salsa. My carnitas was good. Lovely view. But... Tortilla chips were stale. We both got the cilantro rice - mine was full of unpleasant crunchy brown pieces. Asked my husband what he thought they were; turns out his rice didn't have any. Mine was full of burnt rice clumps! He gave his fajitas a C - the vegetables especially were greasy, undercooked (soft but no char), and the meat was bland. The third person with us gave a thumbs down to both his wine (red blend) and his quesadilla. I'm told that this place has the same owner as Riviera Mexican GRILL, which we've patronized for 30 years. This place is a pale shadow of that one. We won't be back.

Yelp
First time dinning at the newly opened Riviera Mexican Cantina. The location was formerly Samba's Brazilian Steakhouse for many years. The restaurant has been transformed into a very bright and chic Beach-Mex spot. Just about every table in the restaurant has an amazing and breathtaking ocean view. Upon entering, the four of us were immediately greeted by very friendly hostesses, who truly seemed happy to be there. We hadn't been seated for more than 2-3 minutes before we were presented with two healthy bowls of fresh n' hot tortilla chips and two cups of fresh salsa. Before we had time to grab our second chip, our server Stephanie came by to introduce herself and took our drink orders. She was awesome and was super attentive, friendly throughout our visit. She really made our visit fun. We decided to try their guacamole appetizer, which we split among the four of us. The guacamole arrived a short time later and was a work of art! Great presentation, but tasted even better than it looked! Needless to say, we ate everything except the bowl! For our entrees, we got the following: 1. Mango Chicken Salad - fresh greens, cabbage, fresh mango, peppers, avocado, grilled chicken breast, jicama, tomatoes, mint and cilantro. It was perfectly splashed with a tequila vinaigrette. Super good! 2. Adobo Steak (salad) - grilled skirt steak, mixed greens, corn, queso fresco, tomatoes, carrots, pickled red onions and pepitas. This was amazing. The steak was incredibly tender and had a fresh "off of the BBQ" flavor. It was flawless!! 3. Mushroom Tinga Tacos - two giant Tortillas filled with Maitaki mushrooms, queso fresco, bell peppers, onions and pico de gallo. - it was super colorful and flavorful. Served with beans. A must try!!! 4. Shrimp enchiladas - two good sized enchiladas that were packed with fresh shrimp, queso fresco, pico de gallo and smothered in a tangy salsa verde sauce. Served with rice and beans. My friend has already vowed to return next weekend to order the enchiladas for a second time! Yep, they were a hit. Speaking of hits, Rivera Mexican Cantina absolutely hit it out of the park with the quality, flavor and presentation of their food, coupled with excellent customer service and killer views this place might just be my new favorite spot! We will be back!!!!

Zach P.

Yelp
This was one of the biggest burritos I have ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection with so much flavor! I loved how it had three different sauces it was smothered in. The margaritas were amazing as well. Service was very attentive and waiter was super nice.

Sam C.

Yelp
I'd like to start off with mentioning the staff was great, location was perfect and presentation of food was nice. My review is for the food which was just meh. I felt it didn't have any authenticity to it. I'm not sure if they are throwing a twist to it or what. My feeling towards the food was I can eat enough to get full but definitely not the whole plate. I ordered a molcajete and my wife a wet burrito. We had a margarita flight and only the hibiscus was good. The bill fit the location for being on the water, I expected it to be high. I wouldn't go back.

Danisha W.

Yelp
Amazing !!! Views . Fresh chips, yum salsa . Food is ok . Strawberry hibiscus margarita was tasty . A little Pricey but good serving sizes . They validate which is great for the area . The service was better when there was less people on a Sunday afternoon vs a sat night( they should staff a little better ).

Eddie D.

Yelp
This restaurant shares the same owners as the Riviera Mexican Grill on PCH, which we've frequented for years. We visited on May 6, during their grand opening to the public. Located right on the marina, the waterfront restaurant is stunning, with large windows that offer breathtaking views of the ocean and harbor. We were seated outside on their heated patio to fully enjoy the scenery. We ordered the slow-braised carnitas with pickled onions and molcajete salsa, served with cilantro rice and beans. The braised pork was incredibly tender, juicy, and absolutely delicious! We also tried the grilled Mexican seabass with poblano crema, which was enjoyable, though we've had better versions elsewhere. The chili con piña margarita was dangerously good! Special shout out to our server, Carson. He mentioned we were his first table of the day, and he was exceptionally personable and knowledgeable about the menu, taking great care of us.

Mrs. M.

Yelp
The food was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect. I enjoyed my chicken enchiladas and tortilla soup with a beautiful ocean view. I ordered the chicken quesadillas as take out for my husband and he enjoyed his meal as well. Service was fast and attentive, thanks to our waitress, especially on a weekday with a small crowd.

Lorena K.

Yelp
I was excited to try Rivera Mexican Cantina since they took over the old spot for Brazilian restaurant and hands down it did not disappoint!!! Smoked añejo old fashion upgraded with Ocho añejo was delicious!!! The carajillo was prefect mixture of sweet and caffeine! I love finding new spots with amazing tequila selection (and I'm not talking about no weak ass casamigos) Jorge was so friendly and attentive and kept a conversation going while holding down the bar area!!! Definitely a place to come back!!!

Nathan K.

Yelp
This cantina is located on Redondo Harbor not far from the International Boardwalk. Stopped by for some drinks and to relax indoors as the temperature started dropping a bit and the fog started rolling in. Ordered both the Smoked Old Fashioned and the Smoked Blood Orange Margarita, which both looked beautifully made and presented. They tasted wonderful as well. The old fashioned was not too sweet and the margarita was light and refreshing. Lastly, ordered the Churro dessert which came out with both icecream and perfectly sliced strawberry. This was a wonderful treat and the such a nice way to cap off my stay here. The churros were above average and the vanilla ice cream was of a good, dense quality. The service was quick and everyone who helped was very accommodating. The view from the booth seating, as you might imagine, is lovely. I would definitely return to this place if I want a relaxing place that serves quality cocktails.

Abby A.

Yelp
Ambiance was great love the new decor, food was good not great, but our waitress Lupita was amazing! Great serves and she will be the reason we come back!!

Lew W.

Yelp
Definitely recommend reservations. When we stopped in a couple of weeks ago at 6pm, the wait was 45-minutes. Though we arrived 15-minutes early for our reservation, the hostess seated us promptly. Our server Sam warmly welcomed us and brought us chips and salsa. The salsa was fresh and flavorful. Decided to try their Classic Margarita and a Beach Cities Margarita. I'm a fan of orange forward margaritas so the BC was my favorite. Both the spinach/cheese and Chile Reyno dishes were outstanding. Good food and excellent service with a beautiful view of King Harbor, the place is a gem! Cheers!

Kay W.

Yelp
The best restaurant in Redondo Beach. Thank you to my server Carson for providing my party of 15 people with exceptional customer service. I recommend you get the lobster enchilada or the shrimp fajitas, which are my-favorite favorites. We chose this restaurant because, a couple of our guests at previously ate here and said the food was really good. If you're ever in the Redondo Beach area, please make sure to stop at this amazing restaurant and don't forget to ask for server, Carson who will provide you with excellent customer service. Thank you to the manager CHAD for greeting my guest and making us feel welcome.

Yelp
I struggled between deciding between a 3 and 4 for this place. Food is underwhelming, but staff and views are great! Partner and I entered on a Thursday around 530 pm with no reservation and were very lucky to get a prime table outside on the water. The view is great, especially around sun setting time. So make sure to go around the same time if you can! Staff was super friendly and accommodating though given we had no reservation. We tried several drinks. I ordered the cucumber tamarind 2x and it was consistent. Could prob up the tamarind flavor a bit as it was almost undetectable with the cucumber. My partner ordered the Burning Passion and was unimpressed but I suggested it was maybe because of the Mezcal so for round 2, he ordered the Beach City Marg. Again, good but nothing too exciting. For dinner we ordered: Guacamole, of course, plus the shrimp Chile relleno and the lobster enchiladas. Both meals were decent but again a bit meh. I recently taught my partner how to make guac and his is better than theirs. We live within walking distance and like the outdoor seating so will def stop in again for drinks. Bar is beautiful and by the water as well. But we won't be rushing back. I'd love to find a restaurant with good views AND good eats. I feel like as soon as the great views enter the plot the food takes a decline. Like why are we settling for mediocrity!?

Ray C.

Yelp
Don't go to the pier for Mexican food. Walk an extra .25 miles for the best experience . For an added bonus ask for Lupe. It's so great to see someone that loves people and her job. 3 times with her and it feels like family.

Ani V.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! They recently opened, and the views are incredible. The prices are fair and that I miss fear is such a great vibe! I have the tortilla soup which was amazing. Probably my favorite dish. I also had the shrimp fajitas. It could've used a couple more shims, but that's OK. They were lots of garlic flavor as well. We also had a burrito which was amazing and super big. We probably could've shared the burrito. My fajitas did come with rice. The rice was a bit blend. Also, the tortillas are not handmade, but it's OK. The views make up for everything else. If you're in the area, definitely recommend coming here, Gloria our waitress was amazing super friendly, energetics vibe! The host Emily was also super sweet and got us to our table in a reasonable time. Again, if you're in the area is a definitely must try place :)

Tiffany M.

Yelp
Definitely on their A game tonight, really great meal all around. Outstanding views and vibes. We tried the birria tacos, lobster enchilada, carnitas, kids quesadilla and an array of cocktails. Service was great, Chips, salsa and guacamole were all really good. We will certainly add to this to dinners out rotation. No complaints.

Janet G.

Yelp
What a dinning experience with a lovely sunset that enhanced our overall experience for the evening! Yummy margaritas alongside the vibrant flavors of spicy agua chili the perfect match for the sunset. I Enjoyed the lovely hospitality!

Shannon W.

Yelp
I would give it 4.3 stars It was a good taco plate, and especially liking the cilantro rice; I wished they had coat racks by the bar; it was good service.

Jon P.

Yelp
I have been eating at The Riviera location in Riviera Village for 30 years. I was keen to try their new restaurant near Seaside lagoon, and did so on Father's Day. The former Samba Steakhouse has been reinvented as a wonderful waterfront cantina. It has a much more upscale vibe than the Riviera Village location. The waitstaff and servers were efficient and polite. The views are great. And let's not forget the food. I had the Mango Chicken Salad. It was delicious. Five stars. I will definitely be back.

Leslee R.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing experience. I brought my husband here for his birthday thinking it would be a great place to have a nice dinner. The sad part is I gave this place a chance, based on the reviews seen on here and on social media. Anyway, we ordered the Shrimp chile relleno , and to our surprise we received a sloppy plate with 1.5 shrimp. I understand I ordered shrimp and most restaurants are shady with it, but how are you going to sell a shrimp chile relleno with only 1.5 shrimp. ( I've attached a pic of what they claim is the shrimp relleno vs. what I received) We sent it back, I opted not to order anything else because I was extremely disappointed. The host and waiter were super nice. I would have appreciated if the manager took their time to talk to us directly. Consistency is key to having happy customers that want to keep coming back .

Goosby T.

Yelp
We visited Riviera Mexican Cantina in the marina on a Sunday and was thoroughly impressed. It's a fantastic place with a great atmosphere. Situated just steps away from the water, we enjoyed the view of boats sailing by. We indulged in a variety of drinks and found the food to be delicious with reasonable portion sizes and prices and the staff was gr. If you're looking to experience a taste of Mexico, this is the perfect spot. Give them a try and don't forget to mention that the GoosbyTwins suggested you visit!

Ryan G.

Yelp
Food was decent ordered the following Agua chile Pescado tacos Flan Jefe margarita Blood orange margarita Agua chile was great Pescado tacos good flavor, portion of fish inconsistent Flan heavy on the egg and bland Jefe margarita sometimes Smokey sometimes sweet not consistent Blood orange margarita great for the Smokey lovers Overall decent place with an amazing view

Michelle F.

Yelp
This review is for their beautiful private event space located near the entrance of the restaurant. The event planner, Sacha, was very professional, responsive and easy to work with. We hosted our South High Boys Water Polo banquet and everything from the taco buffet, to the service and A/V equipment was top notch. I'd highly recommend this room for your next event!

Anet F.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant to have dinner and celebrate my cousin's birthday. The food is really good and the people there are really awesome. Everybody was super nice really attentive and always asking us if we need anything else. Honestly, we wish we have gone earlier just to see the sunset but even though we miss that The Restaurant it's really pretty and the food is really authentic Mexican food. I had aguachiles, my cousin had the enchiladas with shrimp and my daughter had the birria queso taco, and everything was delicious! We really loved our waitress Lupe and also Javier they both were super nice to us. We are looking forward to come back to the restaurant soon. They really really made us feel like family. 1000 % recommended!

E L.

Yelp
Yesterday was our second time here, and this time we brought a friend. Bar area is super great and awesome energy! We sat in the dining area and our server was underwhelming. She took our order, only came back to clear a plate, got us another beer, asked for more chips, didn't see her for 10 minutes so we had to ask someone else...And never once asked "how is everything?" The food is pretty good, and we'd come back but service was blah. We should have just stayed in the bar area where people were more cheerful!

24pants P.

Yelp
Love the crane asada street tacos! The meat is so tender! Ambience is fabulous! Love sitting on the patio and looking at the water Service is great. They kept checking on us to see if everything was good. I feel like this place doesn't get enough hype!!

Karina N.

Yelp
The food received 3 stars only because of a couple reasons: the spicy shrimp tacos were spicy and not much flavor. The Arroz con leche was bland in addition, the fajitas had more veggies than actual steak Otherwise, our server was excellent. I wished I can remember her name if I do I'll update because she did amazing checking on us to make sure we were good or needed anything else. The view from the outdoors was amazing.

Virgilynn B.

Yelp
I came here with family on a Sunday to celebrate July bdays. We were seated closest to the water which was nice. All 25 of us took up a long table. Service was great. We our chips and salsa were replenished often and although I forgot the name of our server, she was so nice and attentive to all of us! Thank you so much for accommodating all of our requests. Lastly, the food... I ordered the lobster fundido and was a little disappointed. I tasted more of a burnt queso instead of the actual lobster flavor itself. My husband and I shared the carne asada burrito which was huge however I feel like there wasn't enough carne asada... most of the burrito had a majority of beans. We pretty much got full off the chips which were so fresh and warm and the salsa was perfect. For those that plan to have a large party here, they can only split the bill into 2. Just fyi. Thank you to Riviera Mexican Cantina for accommodating large party. I may return in the future but not anytime soon.

Donna A.

Yelp
Excellent location. Top-tier customer service provided by our accommodating host and wonderful waitress, Gloria! Gloria made our experience the best- from her drink and food recommendations to her overall service. She deserves all the recognition! We were lucky to be seated outside & got to enjoy the beautiful Cali weather watching all the water. Our lunch was a vibe!

Jen M.

Yelp
Good, but not great. Has potential! Came in for a mid-week bite of dinner. Service was friendly - everyone had a smile and all staff acknowledged and thanked us for coming in. Just a bit slow and forgetful or overlooked when we needed certain items (took awhile to refill water, requested extra plates - had to ask twice). Very MINOR things because more importantly everyone there was happy to have us, and didn't make us feel rushed at all. No reservations which I didn't think we needed, but no worries. We were seated right away in the bar area. I would have prefered an outdoor spot to enjoy the warm weather we've been having as well as check out the view of the harbor. No big deal. I'm sure it is nice. The current menu is very simple. Which is actually a good thing. It gets hard when there are too many things to choose from. I do hope that they add beans and chorizo though - some of my favorites. :) For drinks, we both went with Margaritas (no blended options here) Smokey Blood Orange (Nosotros blanco, Nosotros mezcal, blood orange, agave, orange, lime) I have been learning that I like mezcal, and also like a bit of citrus in my drinks, so this was right up my alley. Beach City Margarita (Lalo, Cointreau, orange, lime, agave) We both finished our drinks so I think it is safe to say we enjoyed both! My friend and I shared: Fresh guacamole - no complaints! Shrimp Avocado & Lime Salad (Grilled shrimp, baby gem lettuce, piquillo peppers, corn, grape tomatoes, avocado, queso fresco, tortilla chips, pepitas, cilantro lime vinaigrette) - fresh, decent amount of shrimps (wish there were a couple more though). Spicy Shrimp Tacos (Spicy seasoned shrimp, onions, bell peppers, cabbage, chipotle crema on flour tortilla) I enjoyed this, but wish the tortillas held up better. Carnitas Tacos (Slow cooked pork shoulder, guacamole, onions pickled onions, cilantro, grilled tomatillo salsa on corn tortilla) also very tasty, but again with the tortillas. However, I wouldn't ding them on this as it happens almost everywhere you go. Overall, the ambiance is nice- right in the heart of King Harbor in what I think used to be the Brazilian BBQ spot. Across from R10 Social House.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Food was so so. I had the chicken and shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas. There wasn't a whole lot of flavor and the tortillas were dry. Margaritas were blah at best. The service was extremely slow. Maybe they were under staffed because the place was busy. Of course the best part is the view which is amazing but make sure you bring sunglasses because some of the seats are in direct bright sun depending on the time you go. Our reservation was at 7 and we had to move tables because the sun was blinding.

Molly H.

Yelp
I really wanted to LOVE this place because of the location - great views and easy parking by the water. Unfortunately, our service was horrible. The waitress got the order wrong multiple times and then disappeared. The busboys did a better job checking on our table. Food was okay but nothing to write home about, especially for the total price of the meal. Drinks were full of ice and super small. I really didn't like the tacos with the burnt cheese on the outside. They were so overcooked, the flavor was too strong (and not in a good way). I ended up just eating the meat... Our friends loved it and recommended it to us. Maybe we'll give it another shot once they've been open a bit longer, but super disappointing start.

Yelp
View and location amazing, staff was friendly speed of food was quick. Food and drinks were not authentic Mexican food in my opinion but perfect place for date night

Yelp
Food was meh. I wouldn't go back. Obviously great location, but so many better Mexican food options in our area. So bummed because I wanted it to be good based on its location. Service was good and waitress very nice. Just personally wouldn't go back. The Mexican Riv in the village or Vida in the village are hands down waaay better Mexican food than this place. If you don't care about that and just want a nice view, by all means enjoy it.

Yelp
We dined here Friday July 19 after the car show they have there in the parking lot next door. We had reservations as we tried the Friday before and it was an hour wait. We sat in the bar and had Chaz for our server. He was awesome! All the employees refilling chips and salsa were running around making sure everyone's salsa and chips were refilled. You don't see this type of service anymore. The ambiance in the bar which where we were sat was loud which is expected. The margarita flight was delicious!! The spicy one was a little too spicy for me. My favorite was the hibiscus. I wanted just plain cheese enchiladas and on the menu they had cheese AND spinach enchiladas with onions I asked if it can be made without spinach or onions Chaz went to ask . I pointed they had an only cheese on the kids menu which I would be fine with. Everyone loved their food. I loved mine as well. Chaz was great he introduced himself to us and at the end shook each one of our hands asking our names. You reaaaaally don't get that level of service anymore. If I come back I would want to sit in Chaz section he just makes you feel like family. It was our first time there. We live a 1/4 mile from here so it may be a new fave thanks to Chaz ! I was gonna take one star away because we had ressies in the regular part of the restaurant but it was "being cleaned off" we believe it was given to someone else so our party of 5 got seated at a table for 7 ( there was a group of 7 waiting behind us) management needs to keep an eye on that . But because of Chaz I didn't take away one of those stars.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed our dining experience. The service was excellent, with Frank and Vincent providing recommendations. Frank was great ensuring that our dining experience was amazing. The view of Redondo Beach was breathtaking, and the cool ocean breeze added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant.

Yelp
Had a great lunch here after a long bike ride on the pier. My food was so delicious I forgot to take a picture lol our waitress was Gloria and she was so fun and kind. She took great care of my friends and I. Would highly recommend trying if you are in the area and craving some good Mexican food! Oh and the view was beautiful as well!

Yelp
Great location with great views...but only if you get a good table. We spent 40 mins waiting for a view table only to find out those were all reserved for the night. They wanted us to sit in the back which was empty and far from any views. We didn't feel the need to overpay for mexican food and went back to our local Coyote Cantina which is a great. Rivera also seemed under staffed.
