What a beautiful experience on New Years Day! We got the Mac and cheese, chicken, and ahi tuna tacos. The server was so professional and even though he just started, he has good knowledge of the menu. The food was so fresh and delicious tasting! I ordered a cocktail as well which was not a disappointment at all. Highly recommend!

While in Chicago, I was able to have dinner with my cousin and his family. They suggested Roanoke – “an upscale American restaurant in the heart of Chicago’s loop.” it was a pretty nice spot with some options for everyone. The kids and the adults loved the mac & cheese, but my favorite were these local cheese curds. My salmon was good, but these pesto mashed potatoes were giving me St. Patrick’s Day vibes. I thought these seared scallops also looked delicious, but they were gone before I could snag a bite!

We came here for dinner on a Wednesday evening and it was quite busy (we did have a reservation). The interior was nice, but some parts were a little cramped. We got the cheese curds (which were amazing), the seared scallops, prime rib, elotes and the boursin dates which were all good. Service was quick, staff was nice, overall a good experience.

Got reservations for a Friday night and we really enjoyed our meal. The food was superb and the service was good. Drinks also great. It was a quiet weekend downtown before Valentine's Day so it wasn't packed and really just a lovely meal. The ambiance is very relaxed and quite intake with several smaller sections to the restaurant. We will definitely come back.

Normally if you show up at any restaurant near closing time you’ll normally get a subtle or not so subtle “look” of disgust. Not only were they very welcoming they were also very attentive and precise. The food was delicious and perfectly proportioned. Drinks were near flawless on taste, size, and execution. I’m looking forward to going again this week!

We had an amazing dining experience at Roanoke! I enjoyed a burger while my girlfriend savored a perfectly cooked salmon. Though the burger was good it was same as a cornerstone diner. Both dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. Our hostess, Vanessa, was exceptional—she greeted us with a warm smile and provided outstanding service throughout our meal. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing dinner. We can't wait to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and excellent service!

A really nice restaurant with very flavorful and creative options! Food was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor! Look at the plating, beautiful. High quality, and great portion! Service was efficient. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is fantastic. Went in for lunch, and had the best Tuna Poke! It was so fresh...seriously, one of the best in Chicago. Specialty craft cocktails', and a cool small homemade bourbon distillery at the bar. Great staff, ambiance, and excellent food. I'll be back! Whoops, I forgot to take a photo of the savory tuna poke.

Had lunch with a group of coworkers today. Roanoke is a short walk from the office and it seems to cater to 'business casual' lunches. The restaurant wasn't busy but our server rushed us to order. He was then fairly inattentive until it was time for the check. We all agreed that the food - salad, sandwiches, entrees - was very good and worth the prices.

I met a friend lunch in The Loop and she chose Roanoke. I looked online at their lunch menu and it looked great! The waitress greeted us. She was very sweet and brought us water and we got the menu and specials. My friend had a salad (it was huge). Looked good. It had feta cheese all over it too. I ordered the special. A Swiss cheese burger. It came with slaw or fries. I chose the fries. The burger was on a pretzel bun and everything tasted so fresh. And I'm hard to please. Our tab with tip and tax was $50. It was very reasonable considering the amount of food. I can't wait to go back!

Usually, lying about the wine you served me even after I question it is an automatic 1-star. But they earn one back on the delicious cheese curds. But don't lie to people about the wine they're drinking!! I ordered the Taylor Fladgate 20-year Tawny Port. I was obviously served a Ruby Port instead. When our server came back, I pointed out the mistake, but he assured me that I had been poured the correct wine, so I asked to see the bottle. He came back with two bottles of Ports that were neither Taylor Fladgate nor tawny and said those were the only Ports they had. Then why did you lie and tell me it was Taylor Fladgate 20-year Tawny?!! That is not okay! I don't care if you're out of the wine I ordered. I don't care if I was accidentally served the wrong wine. I very much DO care if you lie to me about what I was served even AFTER I question it. People who don't know much about wines deserve the chance to learn. They deserve to be served what they actually ordered. Anyone who didn't know better would have thought that the Port they were served was a 20-year tawny, even though it tastes nothing like a 20-year tawny. That is not acceptable. If you want great cheese curds, this is your place. If you want to trust that you're actually drinking the wine you ordered, stay away.

Out of all the corporate lunch spots in the loop, this one was the best I've been to by far!! The service was great, the menu is huge, and the food was delicious!!!! We started with the cheddar biscuits served with salty honey butter and they were quite literally perfect. The best salty-sweet balance. Must get!! The power salad with salmon was the perfect entree. This salad was huge!! So many good textures from the kale, chickpeas, and apricots. The salmon was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and flavorful. I would love to come back here!!

Nice ambiance, quick and attentive service. We celebrated father's day here . The kids got burgers , I got poke bowl meh , my husband got the shakshuka ( eggs in tomato sauce) and mom got the fried chicken sandwich. I also had the grapefruit mimosa. Will definitely come back if in the area.

Had brunch here with a couple of friends, I would recommend a reservation for a weekend meal. Portions were very generous and I really enjoyed the burrata salad and French toast that I split with my sister. Fun brunch drinks as well! Service was a bit slow as I think our waiter was overwhelmed with the number of tables he had but our food still came out promptly.

3.5/5 Rotisserie Chicken was a great deal. The amount of chicken is generous. Brussels sprouts could have been flavored/cooked better, but eating it with the potatoes made up for the lack of flavor. Burger was disappointing. The bun couldn't handle the ingredients so it was extremely messy and not enjoyable to eat. However the fries were delicious. Service was nice, but lacking.

We returned to give them a second chance. Wow this time everything was like clockwork. We made a reservation. The service was spot on. Ordered drinks. A great selection of wines and mock and regular cocktails. Had the bowl of clam chowder. OMG. Come with a wonderful cheesy mini biscuit. Nice chunks of clams They puree the potatoes in the chowder which was delicious. Bacon crumbs on top. Yummmmeeee. Had the lamb sandwich comes with artichoke hearts. I'm not a fan but the sandwich was huge and quite good. Had the house made chips. Didn't like the vinegar take but otherwise chips were good. Wife had the steak frites. Use portion size with lots of flavor. Fries are coated and crispy. Really good fries. We're definitely fans and will return. The happy hour deals looked great. The menu is huge.

Came here before going to a show at the Goodman in the evening. I had never been but was pleasantly surprised that they had a theater course menu. I picked the theater course since it was certainly the most bang for your buck. The rotisserie chicken with the sides was a great portion, so much so that I had to take some to the theater, which the coat check does check in. My date and I did have two problems as the server didn't put in the two changes to the sides we got. They were really sweet tho and let us keep the side it came with and the sides we requested. It did become a lot of food but it was all delicious.

Nice dining restaurant. Great for date and friends get together staffs are nice and let us split into 3 bills Food actually is really good. French toast: Crispy on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside. No soggy at all. Had lots of whole pieces of pistachio. Some yogurt moose with chia seeds i think gave great texture and flavor combo Beef skillet with potato hash: Huge amount! didn't finish it. lots of beef and the flavor's great. The only down side is a bit too oily and cheesy. got a bit overwhelmed by the richness at the end Would recommend it if you're nearby. Price is great too for this area

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day and I can't say I was fully impressed, but not disappointed either. It was an okay experience and I may come back during a different time. To start, the food was pretty decent; nothing exceptional but pretty good. I will say, the scallops I had had almost no taste. I love scallops and I'm pretty familiar with the flavor but these didn't have the normal buttery taste I'm used to. The other items on the plate were good though and helped with the overall flavor. The fries with the steak & frites meal were some of the best I've ever had! I loved the added cheese on them. The cheddar biscuits were also divine! Loved those so much. The service wasn't terrible but wasn't the best. I just felt like we were more of a number VS a customer and it could have been because it was a busier evening so that's why I'm not going to fully knock it but it just wasn't what I was expecting. Overall, it was nice and quiet evening and one thing I do want to mention is the more private dining area was nice and peaceful whereas the downstairs was pretty loud, which I really appreciated being upstairs in the quiet for that particular evening, so that was really enjoyable. As mentioned above, I'd like to try and come at a different time as well.

Row on over to Roanoke! This was our first time here and the food was AMAZING! We got to see many different dishes and they were fantastic! Nobody at the table complained about their food and the ambiance was so nice! Definitely will return! The service is great and very attentive!

Came here for the holidays, and the restaurant was not very full at all. Service was pretty slow, considering that, however. The inside of the restaurant has a very rustic ambiance. For the table, we got the fried chicken, ribeye hash, shakshouka, and the French toast. The fried chicken was cooked well but had no seasoning, and the hot sauce tasted like Frank's hot sauce. While Frank's is good, I expected something more original for the price of the dish. The biscuits served with the dishes are pretty favorable but are very dry. They are like a cheesy garlic flavor. The ribeye hash comes with eggs, brussel sprouts, ribeye chunks, cheese, and vegetables. The dish seems like it is in a soup since it was very watery for some reason. Unfortunately, the ribeye was also dry, and altogether, the dish didn't live up to what was expected. The shakshouka was also disappointing. I expected much more authentic flavors and spices from this dish, but instead, it just tasted like tomato soup with eggs and potatoes. For desert, the French toast was fine, and the pistachios on top added a great texture to the dish. I like the look and feel of the restaurant, but there are several things that are not executed well with the dishes. I don't think I would want to go back for my personal tastes, but I can see how some of their dishes might be favorable to others.

Came for new years brunch. Made a reservation for 10:30AM but it was still pretty empty. The interior decoration is classy and give a mahogany/leather vibe. Service was pretty slow for how few tables there were seated, but the servers were friendly and helpful. We walked up to pay because we waited so long after our table was cleared for our check. Not sure if their menu was different from this brunch but some drink items on their menu were unavailable (only had almond milk for non-dairy coffee option, no grapefruit juice). I gave up and just asked for a single shot of espresso. We were excited about the menu as the dishes seemed interesting. The food tasted okay, still healthy (not too salty or sweet) and still edible. However, the overall execution did not meet that expectation. Fried chicken appetizer - the fried chicken was crispy, pretty juicy and had a drizzle of honey. the hot sauce was nothing special, felt like a generic frank's hot. The biscuit had a butter/herby flavor, but felt very doughy/uncooked. I wish it was more flaky. Ribeye steak hash - the steak was cut into cubes, over-cooked, and the pieces were not all cooked to the same degree. The scrambled eggs were good. Shakshuka - this tasted like chunky tomato soup paired with buttery toast. It lacked the spices needed (cumin, paprika, cayenne) to make it a Shakshuka. The toast was good though, crispy edges with a fluffy interior, and a nice butter flavor. French toast - not sure why the strawberry jam was under the toast. We also had to ask for a side of syrup as it didn't come with and wasn't available on the table. The strawberries were fresh. The pistachios were the only thing that made unique, but you couldn't really taste the pistachios, might be better to have it crushed for more surface area. Latte - tiny mug, maybe not even 8oz. They use Sparrow roasted beans so that's a plus, but definitely not worth it here. I would rather go to an actual cafe.

For such a beautiful restaurant, the food is mediocre. The food quality and taste does not match the atmosphere or the price. We made reservations for brunch during the holidays. It was nice because it was quiet and there weren't too many people. There were a good number of service staff, but the service was extremely slow. It took us about 20 minutes just to get our coffees. They also were out of all of the milk alternative options, which left someone in our party without coffee. They serve Sparrow coffee, but the lattes and coffees are served in very small mugs. For $6, it was not worth it. For food, we ordered to share: - fried chicken (5/10): the chipotle honey was too subtle perhaps there was too little sauce on the fried chicken. Chicken was well cooked, but very little seasoning or sauce flavor overall. - Ribeye Hash Skillet (2/10) - extremely dried out ribeye, unevenly cooked dish with dried out cheese overloaded onto a single side. Definitely would not recommend this dish. - Shakshouka (5/10): this was the most flavorful dish, but it was not shakshouka - seemed like no spices were used, more like pure tomato sauce. - French toast (5/10): so much potential, but poor execution. There is very little jam on the dish, the pistachios are whole, strawberries seemed a bit old, and it is not served with any syrup. We had to wait a very long time to get syrup. Overall, given the slow service and disappointing food, I would not return or recommend Roanoke.

Michael from the Bay Area!!!! Come here for him, this guy really took care of our table!! Wait...also come for the food because it's noiice!!! The vibes of Roanoke screams mobster, but it was a great time!!!! We ordered too many apps...and drinks and entrees...but it was so good! All of it. The scallops and branzino and steak and frites were everyone's mains. The "char-coochie" board, burrata and hummus plates were also scrumptious apps! Order all of it. Very posh ambiance here, but they let us be loud and no one batted an eye, and we had a great experience. Super nice staff and delicious food! Come here and experience it yourself. Chicago is reeeaal noiice!

The food here is good. Giving it 4 stars as it's a bit inconsistent, the fava bean hummus is really good but the salad felt a little dry. The main squeeze mocktail is very good but the butterfly pea one is just ok and lacked flavor. The cheesecake felt a bit icy but the flourless chocolate cake was good. Overall it's good to stop by if in the area but wouldn't go out of the way as there are better choices in Chicago.

Pretty good food in a moderately upscale looking restaurant in the downtown of Chicago. There are tables and booths but might be good for smaller groups (8 or less). There's some steaks, seafoods, plenty of sides and delicious sweet desserts. Food I came with my coworkers for a team dinner so I had the chance to try a variety of sides along with the seabass I ordered for myself. First off, the fish was pretty good and the meat was soft and not dry. Bones were not a concern and overall enjoyed the dish. The burrata was excellent and trying the jam over the bread is a must. The fava bean hummus appetizer was good as well and is something to get if you like hummus. The meat and cheese board is nice to pick at but nothing too exceptional about it. We got the hearth oven mushrooms but that wasn't very popular at the table and we ended up not finishing it. The brussel sprouts were well cooked and pretty good. For dessert we had the panna cotta and the apple cobbler and I thought that they were both very good. The panna cotta flavors can be different depending on the season. Atmosphere The interior looks upscale and is very organized and clean. I did find the tables to be a little low though. The noise level was not too loud for on a Thursday evening and I could hear people across the table. Good place to come celebrate or just have a nice dinner. Pricing The prices are average for this type of upscale restaurant, but a little bit more expensive if you had chosen to get these foods at a more casual place. The price was worth the food. Service I have mixed things to say about the service. We had made a reservation for our group of 10 people but when we arrived they had tried to seat us at 2 separate tables for our team dinner. We didn't request this but then eventually they were able to accommodate us and seat us all together. Otherwise, the service was good and taken care of promptly. Other

Staff was friendly and food came quick. Honey butter biscuits were a little too crisp - elevated version of crescent rolls (I'd skip it) steak was nicely seasoned and fries were crunchy but so soft on the inside. Restaurant is huge with a too lol floor with tons of tables. Nice place to eat in Chicago!

The dinner is better than the brunch. I had a great impression of this place for dinner a while back, but when I returned for brunch I found some pretty standard items with standard flavors. My server was kind and attentive while the dark and fancy ambience really carried the restaurant. - The French toast was unique in that it had a bit of lemon sauce on it, but aside from that, I could've made it at home. - The avocado toast was deliciously balanced flavor-wise with a mix of ingredients on top. Again, not a game changer. Overall, I wouldn't go as far as to recommend the brunch. It still has solid food (that gets better during dinner time), but I just think there are better options out there. -AT

Nice atmosphere ... staff not really attentive ... it takes a lot for me to leave less than stellar tip and a low Yelp rating ... which I did tonight ... Don't come for the food! Had Steak Frites that was quite bad ... 4 of 10 oz nothing but fat. As someone who lives in the city, this spot would be a quick drink stop at best. Not a dining experience.

I had dinner here last night to celebrate mine and my sister's birthday. Most of our food was good, but the scallop was bland, my steak was kind of salty and my don's prime rib was well done instead of med rare the server never knew because he never checked to see if everyone got the right meals or if everything was OK. The service was was not great. We were celebrating a birthday, and before we were even asked for the dessert menu the manager was already giving us our bill, and we let him know we we didn't ask for the bill and that we wanted to order dessert. Typically restaurants when they know that you are celebrating a birthday they usually serve dessert with a candle or at least ask if we'd like one that never happened, so a festive dinner planned for two birthdays was not so festive at all this restaurant

Nice casual yet polished American restaurant in the downtown Loop area. I ordered the Grilled Mahi Mahi ($26), which was pretty good but the fish itself was slightly burned and not that flavorful. The flavor mainly came from the mango kiwi salsa (though didn't see much kiwi in there) and the banana coconut sauce (although that wasn't that flavorful either). The portion size was a bit small for the price of $26 so not really worth it. As noted though, the place itself is nice with a somewhat upscale American restaurant kind of vibe, a warm atmosphere, elegant decor, and lots of seating. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, and the service speed was quick. Overall, I would give Roanoke 3.5 stars, if I could. While my mahi mahi didn't fully impress me, I think the environment and friendly service are just enough to lead me to round my rating up to 4 stars.

Just a fancy restaurant but I am not impressed with their food. If you took the subway it's very near the station in downtown Chicago . The clam chowder bowl size hardly even has clams in it, it's better if you just order a cup because I don't see any difference at all. The biscuits and Brussels sprouts are probably the only thing that's good. The mahi mahi with rice is dry and the rice is overcooked. I asked the server how big the elote was and she said it was good for four guests and when it came it was a small skillet. The turkey club was huge but there was so little meat inside. I will not go back for lunch. The only thing cool is that it feels like a fancy lunch location attached to a hotel.

My favorite part about the restaurant was the ambiance. It was a nice experience and felt very upscale. For the most part, the service was quick and nice and was even able to accommodate my preference for booth seating. Took off a star because I did not feel the food accurately represented upscale Italian dining, contrary to the price. We started with the house biscuit which tasted pretty average so wouldn't specifically recommend it. For the entree, I ordered the campanelle- I enjoyed it! The portion size was large enough for me to eat leftovers later, and the sauce was delicious. We also ordered the chicken parmesan, as recommended to us by the server, but it was unfortunately very disappointing. The pasta was overcooked and the flavor was nothing great. Overall decent experience, but probably only worth going once to try- better places in Chicago for the same prices.

The service was wonderful, the meat & cheese board, meatball appetizer and white chocolate blueberry cheesecake with the vanilla bean ice cream were all excellent. We weren't huge fans of the chili (it lacked a little heat for our liking...it wasn't bad, just not what we were expecting). We were here St. Patrick's Day weekend so the green beer was a fun touch! We would come back again :) The waitress Cindy was wonderful.

Great ambiance! The second floor is my favorite. Our waiter was super nice and attentive. I enjoyed my meal very much. I had the Mahi Mahi which was very flavorful. Mahi Mahi came with sushi rice and a pineapple, onions, bell pepper and kiwi salsa in a banana coconut sauce it had very unique flavors I wouldn't have thought to put together like that. 2 of my friends loved the ahi tuna poke bowl as well. I will be back again to try more.

Roanoke is... fine. I had the rotisserie chicken ($26) and it came with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The sprouts weren't properly trimmed, so they had the rock-hard stems still attached. The chicken was moist and tender, but mostly flavorless. It was a good amount of food for the price. I might return at some point, and I may try another dish. When you're dining in Chicago, you should expect a real wow factor with your meal. Roanoke is just middle-of-the-road. There's nothing terribly superior about this joint. The space is fairly crowded and it's a bit weird you have to walk upstairs and down a hotel hallway to get to the restroom.

Chicken dinner and Burger for brunch the next day, large portions and good quality, fries stood out as very good. I liked the ambiance and the service was attentive. Happy hour deals are good, the Old Fashioned was a tad sweet for me but to each their own. Overall I recommend this place if you are staying in the area.

The burger was good but the Service was terrible! I wish I got a waiters name but he never introduced himself, spoke too quickly, and never checked in on us. Took him 25 minutes to take our order. He left and never came back until we flagged him over 30 minutes after being done eating for our bill. He then proceeded to add a 25% tip WITHOUT our consent AFTER running our cards and expected us to just sign off on it. Mind you, we were only a group of 4 so there was not a large party gratuity (he just was being sneaky). Thankfully, the receptionist and another waiter helped us sort everything. Great ambiance but I'm hesitant return.

The roll was good and service was nice. I would suggest the roll be warmer when served which would've made it amazing.

It was a block away from my hotel, so I thought why not try this place out. They do take reservations, but welcome walk-ins. The place is super cute and cozy, perfect for a date night. The seating is pretty tight but it was workable. The service was wonderful and very attentive, the waiter constantly checked up on the table. For dinner, I got the Griddled Hamburger, which was very fulfilling and juicy. I was craving a hamburger that evening and it lived up to my expectations. I tried one of the crafted cocktails, Monkey Business, it was very tasteful with a hint of banana and ginger beer. Would I recommend this place to tourist, friends, and family members? Yes, it's a great place to have din-din at and chat it up. I will most definitely be back!

Solid restaurant downtown when everything was busy and we got a seat. Food was good but service was just ok. Waiter wasn't clear when we said there was a nut allergy and said dessert was fine to eat. After asking a few times he really meant it wasn't safe to eat due to possible contamination. That left us (my kid) with a sour note as we left. But ok place if you are in the area.

Overview: EASY PLACE TO GO IF SEEING A SHOW! food was good, not great, but it was convenient and super easy when we were going to a show at the nederlander theatre. Service was quick and nice. However, it was a lot more expensive than I would have thought. We got the Roanoke salad, cheddar biscuits and salmon. All were enjoyable- not the best I've had but definitely good! I would recommend this place as an easy reservation to make before going to a show in the city. Also ordered the skillet cookie, wish it was a little bit warmer and gooey but it was still delicious

A Culinary Gem in Chicago - Bistro Roanoke During our lunch visit, we opted for sandwiches, and the attention to detail was evident from the first bite. The bread was perfectly toasted, creating a delightful crunch that complemented the layers of flavor within. The melding of melted cheese and butter-seared mushrooms created a savory symphony that was simply divine. A standout on the menu was the escargot, an absolute must-try. Bistro Roanoke has truly mastered the art of preparing this classic French dish.

I was in a hurry to catch my flight before leaving Chicago on April 15. The hotel recommended Roanoke. I did not have a reservation, but the friendly staff recommended booth seating. They have a fast service even with crowded lunchtime in the business district. I enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The only problem is restrooms are hard to find and far away :)

The food and atmosphere was amazing. The espresso martinis were wonderful and made with legit espresso not an espresso flavored substitute. The service left something to be desired today , we never got more water or drink refills and the server never came back after taking our orders until we were done eating and plates had been removed by another employee. We honestly would have ordered another round but by this point we had spent more than 15 min with no beverages and the server didn't offer any he just brought the bill.

Roanoke is located in Downtown Chicago. There are multiple floors of the restaurant and we were seated on the 2nd floor. The atmosphere is like a moody library with a romantic vibe. Came here on Saturday and received fabulous service. Cheese curds: they were all stuck together... not sure if this was on purpose or not, but it was delish! The artichoke & truffle remoulade was a great accompaniment. Meatballs: Nice and tender in a marinara sauce. The bread was soft and helped you soak up all the sauce left! I would have been just happy with a couple plates of the meatballs and bread! Whole Mediterranean Seabass: the fish was fresh and the potatoes were good. However, the whole dish was sitting in oil. What's the point of crispy skin if you serve it on top of a bed of oil? Not worth the price imo. The apps and drink were good. Would come back for those, not the entree.

Establishment was beautiful, the food was alright but the service was awful. No care in cleaning up tables {for us, at least}. We were staying at the adjacent hotel and staff acted as though they didn't want to serve us. Upon our initial visit, we were told we had a hour to eat due to the impending dinner rush. Not a ton in that area anymore so our hands were tied.

I don't know why I keep coming here. The food is not very good. I've tried many things on the menu and every time, I leave wishing I had my money back. I will say though, the restaurant looks very nice inside and the service is pretty great. The servers are always friendly and helpful-- and most them have even admitted to me their food isn't great. I'll probably still go frequently because it's located close to work and I often entertain my clients here but if you're looking for a nice place to have a nice meal, this is not it.

Food is okay. We had poke bowl and ahi poke tacos. Service is good but ambiance makes me sleepy after a heavy meal. Service was very good though.

Wow is this restaurant outstanding! When we couldn't get reservations at the top Chicago restaurants we decided to come here instead and wow was it delicious! We ordered: macaroni & cheese (delicious - a from scratch cheddar sauce) and burrata for appetizers with seared scallops with mushroom & spinach risotto (cooked perfectly and super flavorful) flat iron steak (also cooked perfectly & love all the sauces) for our entrees. Everything was outstanding! Perfectly cooked with tons of flavor! We got the panna cotta and key lime pie for dessert and scraped the plates clean they were so tasty - especially the panna cotta! They have fun mixed drinks too like the Old Fashioned that tastes like Cracker Jacks! We will make it a point to return here the next time we are in Chicago! Service was outstanding

We got to our hotel late in the evening after a Chicago Sky game, and we were both very hungry. This restaurant was just around the corner from the hotel where we stayed, and still had some late-night reservations available which I was very grateful for that night. When we arrived the hostess checked us in, and let us know the time the kitchen was closing which I appreciated so we could ensure we ordered in time to catch the food service. I thought the restaurant felt warm and inviting, especially on a rainy evening. It looks like they might have a small area for outdoor seating during nicer weather. We started with a Paloma for me- delicious and refreshing- and a Landmark Old Fashioned for my husband which he also enjoyed. My husband got the griddled hamburger for his dinner, and I went with the meat and cheese board appetizer because I had my eye on a dessert. My meat and cheese plate was wonderful and I would get it again for sure. My husband's burger hit the spot according to him. My favorite bite of the night was my dessert which was the key lime pie. It was key lime pie perfection- if we ever stay at this hotel again, I will be back for that key lime pie. Nice eats, friendly service, warm environment- I would definitely come back.

Hadn't been here since before the pandemic but it has not changed quality-wise. All dishes are highest quality including desserts. The service and ambiance are perfect. It's got good energy but you won't be yelling over other patrons. The smoked whisky old fashioned is no joke one of the best drinks I've ever had. I'd go back downtown and deal with the parking just to have that again.

I had the opportunity to have lunch here on Saturday and I really enjoyed it. I hadn't been here in awhile. To drink: I had the Good Witch, which had prosecco, lemon water, and strawberry puree. Entree: I ordered the ahi poke crispy tacos. Three tacos with tuna, avocado, toasted sesame seeds, and mango salsa in a light, crispy tacos shells. Very filling. They gave me lots of tuna and avocado. Note: sides do not automatically come with the meal and must be ordered separately. The waiter did a good job. But, a huge party came after I was done and were quite a handful. Also, the back room that I was in was a bit cramped. Not too much room between the tables.

Great food both times. Quickie review but last dinner and today's brunch were bitt excellent. Cinnamon roll was the only disappointment; just nothing special. (But I was at Ann Sather's recently, to be fair.) Server this time was awful. Didn't get a hello for 10 minutes, water for 15, waited 20 minutes just to order. But steak & eggs were excellent, perfectly done and tasty. Great place.

The ambiance and service are both pretty good. Went with a group of 8 for a business meal. Starters: fried chicken (pretty good), biscuits (pretty good), Buffalo cauliflower (pretty good), BBQ chicken pizza ( Really good). Entries: scallops (scallops were okay, the rice was terrible), Chicken (dry), steak and fries (good). Overall, the other reviews on Yelp about the food are spot on!

Food was good and came out quick, like quicker than the drinks we ordered. Had the espresso martini and the French Alexander. The French Alexander was very good, very lemony. Would go back just to try the Carmel Apple cobbler!
