81 London Restaurants Keeping ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ Discounts Going Into September
"Sushi, skewers, and bao are all on the menu at Robata (plus a load of other Japanese-inspired dishes) and you can enjoy them everyday of the week with discount if you book between 5pm and 6pm." - oliver feldman, rianne shlebak
"Robata is a small izakaya-style spot on Old Compton Street. There are plenty of bao, there are sashimi sets, and there are a whole load of skewers fresh from the robata grill to get involved in. A lot of the dishes here come heavy on the sauce, and you can definitely find far better bao in London, but it’s a decent place to stop in for some sake if you’re in the area." - Heidi Lauth Beasley
Lovely date night out, had tuna sashimi and it was great. The sea bass ceviche was our favourite. Had a sake float each, highly recommend. The sticks are okay but I would recommend sticking to the premium sashimi and sushi. Reasonably priced, in the heart of Soho and great service.

I booked this for my wife's birthday and I'm pleased I managed to get a last minute booking because the food is amazing!
If you like BBQ Asian food this is the place to go. We took a mixture of everything to share including the beef which was cooked to perfection.
Also, the cocktails were really good as well.
The decor could do with a bit of a tidy but the food more than made up for this. We will come back soon!

Good food and great service. We had the scallop and pork belly ‘robata’ and they were definitely highlights of the meal, also the crispy duck salad. The sushi was alright, defiantly better places in London, very fresh ingredients but the flavour was missing.

Had a great experience here. Came for dinner with a small group, we were sat immediately (we did book) and the staff were pretty quick & attentive. Food was all delicious and reasonably priced as well as well priced wine and a good selection of cocktails! Food was delicious, well presented and served at a good speed. Warning the spicy margarita is delicious but definitely spicy!

We booked lunch at 12 via the First Table app. We ordered a selection of items- bao buns, sushi rolls and skewers. We enjoyed our food especially the soft shell crab bao and the black cod. Even better that we got 50% off food. Food came promptly and service was good. Would visit again.

A japanese 居酒屋style. Actually very surprised as the food is very nice! I dont have high expectations for japanese food in london because generally japanese sushi style food is not good in europe. Deluxe sushi is only £29, I mean they are not really Japanese standard of deluxe, however i am also pleased with it. The tataki also amazed me because it is just so nice!! Little bit of yuzu flavour and the truffle just matches it so well. The skewer is also so good!!! Highly recommend the iberco pork!

Yelp
We dined at Robata last week and had an amazing experience. We wanted something casual but with high quality food and the staff did not disappoint. We sampled a lot of their shareable plates--lamb skewers, chicken karage, crab bao buns, and pork ribs. We didn't try the sushi but noticed it on other tables and it seemed to be something that is ordered a lot. The drinks were also amazing. Visit this place if you want a casual night out with great food and attentive service!

Yelp
We enjoyed some edamame here at the windowsill while sipping a fine Pinot noir and observing the hurried London populace. In the states we call it a New York minute! Anyway honorable place and will be back.

Yelp
The sushi was excellent and the gyota was great. The boa buns were good as well. Service pushed us through the meal which was disappointing as we were there for no longer than 45 minutes.

Yelp
My husband and I came in at 10pm on Friday night (an hour before they closed) and this rude waiter would not seat us and told us the kitchen was closed. There were open seats available.
How do you run a restaurant like this? Not the type of atmosphere I want to give my money too. Make sure to show up hours before they close to be seated if you go....

Yelp
My first time at Robata, Soho and it def won't be my last. The service was great, very attentive, knew the menu back to front and gave us lots of great recommendations. Food came very quickly and was delicious, highlights - Lamb breast, miso aubergine and the Sake Mojito!
It's a cosy space so worth booking ahead of time.
