Yelp
I saw this list of Black-Owned businesses and wanted to give this place a go. Here was my experience on a Saturday afternoon.
Parking:
Street parking/neighborhood parking.
Seating:
Not sure. It was under renovation also in COVID-19 pandemic, they seemed to have seating inside and outside but I'll get back to you on this.
Feels:
Not exactly a downtown but a small little strip of popping businesses. The spot itself is a corner restaurant, just look for the BBQ pictures. Once you enter it gives it a southern, cabin picnic vibe. You'll have random steel art and decor and kitchen radio playing some hip-hop vibes. It's limited right now due to COVID-19 but looks like a good place to eat with family and watch a game.
FOOD:
Mini Texas Sampler (Brisket, Ribs, Beef Link, Chicken) + 2 Sides
All cooked well, juicy, flavorful, and a delightful smoky taste. For that Southern BBQ taste, this is your vibe. There was a choice of mild and sweet and spicy sauce on or on the side, we had ours on the side. The spicy was splendidly tangy with a good kick. The beans and potato salad were great compliments.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Excellent. Friendly peeps. They updated us with the order as it was getting ready.
TL; DR OVERALL:
4.5 Stars. Reasonably priced, great choices, delicious food. The location was good and the choices were simple. With a solid price and food so good, expect me to come back. Especially for that catfish stuff.
Tips:
* Order via online or on the spot
