"The Valley hides more than a few British pub gems, Robin Hood in Sherman Oaks among them. The 36-year staple is still turning out pints, bangers, and breakfasts on the regular, along with plenty of American fare, of course. Best of all, they serve a full English breakfast here every single day." - Farley Elliott

This was a true surprise as I was invited here by a friend. I am a bit of a snobby Anglophile so I chuckled bit but wanted to have lunch with my friends. What I saw & tasted was real British food run by a real Brit ... with some caveats .... We had: - Scotch Egg (so yum I ate one before I shot a pic) - Shepherds Pie (a bit runny) - Beef Bourguignon pie (delicious but french) - Steak & Mushroom (intense & perfect) - Sunday Roast - Trifle PRO: - Honest UK Food. When it's good (pies) it's good - Reasonably priced - Delicious food - Great portions & appearance CON: - I sadly can not suggest the Sunday Roast. Overcooked, roast potatoes had no skin and the veggies seemed boiled - ? Panko on the fish and chips? For shame ... you know you need to fry fry fry! - A bit dark, but it's a true pub! - A bit loud, but it's a true pub! - Avoid the trifle, (sadly no one liked this, it was all whip cream) SUMMARY: Enjoyed the food here, didn't enjoy some of the food here. Pie compares to some I've eaten in London. This was a true pub in the sense of taste & smell. The bonus is that if you like any of the condiments you can get them next door at Friar Tuck (the British store).

Very pleasant atmosphere, good food. The real atmosphere of a British pub. I relax here with friends every week. For fans of the game of darts, there is also such an opportunity to have fun. There is a playground on the street, where it is nice to sit on a warm evening. A huge number of different beers, spirits and a wide range of meat and not only dishes. I recommend trying to sit with friends, I think you won't regret it.

Amazing English, cozy atmosphere and atmosphere. An excellent chef and, accordingly, dishes. I recommend visiting this bar at least once, you won't regret it. You can play darts and watch interactive programs. Parking is located behind the bar. A large number of free places.

Quite a few vegan/vegetarian options. I am pleasantly surprised. The serving sizes are huge and the flavors are rich. We are definitely coming back! Also, be warned: Their mixed drinks are STRONG! 💪🏻

Driven by this place at least a hundred times. Thought I'd try it after everyone keeps saying how good it is. What a pleasant surprise. Very nice place. Bigger than it looks from the outside. The food was excellent. It's not like a lot of pubs that have a kitchen just to circumvent the liquor license laws, it was legit food. Fish and chips were perfect. Great friendly crowd, no cliques, no hipsters, all cool. I'll definitely go back.

I have been here many times over the years for the fish and chips which is excellent. I went on St Patrick’s day hoping for the corned beef and cabbage and I was very disappointed. The corned beef looked and tasted like it was a preprocessed loaf. It had little taste and no texture. The potato was the best thing on the plate along with the horseradish. The carrots and cabbage were tasteless and the leeks( or were they onion)?we’re smothered in a not very appetizing sauce. I am a vegan 95% of the time so I was excited to have corned beef. Unfortunately it was truly disappointing. I will still come for the fish and chips but never again for the corned beef dinner. Sorry.

Trying the place on St. Patrick's day might have been unfair. The atmosphere was perfect. Food was tasty, but cold. We got fish and chips and corned beef and cabbage. Portions were generous. The Guinness was perfect. The staff were friendly. I'll be happy to go again. I'd like to try the tea. Returned for English breakfast, which was lovely. Much better experience on a regular day.

Went here for lunch and it was great. This is about as close as you can get to a British pub. Very authentic. We had the Steak and Kidney Pie and the Steak and Mushroom Pie with chips (fries) and peas. Very tasty. There is parking in back and they have a shop next door where you can buy British biscuits, chocolate bars etc. I'll definitely be going again. Great place.
