Classic roman restaurant with typical local recipes. The quality of ingredients is high, and everything is tasty. Prices are a bit above the average prices for the same recipes in other well-known restaurants. Service is friendly and welcoming. Even if the location is thought according to an easy mood taverna.. some things like chairs and table could be at least renovated (see picture).

My best food experience in Rome. Everything from service to food was exceptional and movie-like experience. Absolutely delightful

The food was pretty basic but not in a totally good way. The chicken arrived looking grey and boiled - I really don’t think saying ‘typical Roman’ is an excuse for just plonking something on a plate. We had come from 2 weeks touring around Italy and the food at Rocco just wasn’t up to scratch.

The idea of a restaurant is to ALWAYS follow the rules of hospitality. We were walking around the neighborhood and thought to eat here. There’s no sign outdoors or indoors, or even a hostess (as most reservation restaurants do have) saying that it is” reservation only”, so we sat on a table outside, like any other brasserie. The Chef or the waiter came outside a little bit disturbed and rampant attitude because we just sat down on his outdoor table. And I quote what he said “you should ask before sit on a table, we’re fully booked, you can’t stay here”. The problem is the owners attitude or the way of saying things, especially on the hospitality industry and also in a tourist destination such as Rome. Can’t say if I can recommend the food, but the “service” lacks A LOT of learning and training to be a good place to go. If you’re a tourist, be prepared and make a reservation if you can to avoid this kind of problems.

The low reviews are confusing to me — I had a wonderful meal here. I appreciate any restaurant that executes a handful of dishes well with a rotating menu, rather than offering a million average options day after day. The tomatoes and fish pasta I ate were especially fresh, and the portions were plenty enough for me.

Popular restaurant recommended by my local friend. There is only Italian menu on the blackboard but we were well explained in English what each dishes is. Everything was tasty but we particularly liked their starters.
