"August heat doesn’t care that we’re tired of her. If you’ve given up trying to stay dry, go to the beach. We just recently updated our Rockaways guide so you’ll know exactly where to pick up lobster rolls, frozen piña coladas, and burgers while you’re there." - hannah albertine

Rippers, Brothers, and More of the Rockaways’ Seaside Fare | The New Yorker

"For a seafood cornucopia, there is Rockaway Clam Bar, a seasonal offshoot of Red Hook Lobster Pound, on the more bucolic beach at Jacob Riis Park. The menu features standards including fried clams, fish tacos, and cold peeled shrimp to dip in cocktail sauce." - Hannah Goldfield

Rockaway Clam Bar Review - Rockaway Beach - New York - The Infatuation

"Rockaway Clam Bar comes to us from the people behind Red Hook Lobster, and they now have a stand in the Riis Park Beach Bazaar. They serve reasonably-priced seafood like chowder, fried clam rolls, and some lobster clam sliders that need to be part of your beach experience." - Andrew Steinthal

The fried calm basket was so delicious and fulfilling i ordered it a second time and was very disappointed. My calm portion was greatly reduced and Some of the pieces of calm did not taste very fresh. 4 hours after my meal my stomach is upset and i barely Made it on time to releave myself on the drive home. I wish i had another great the second time around but it did not happen.

It's a little expensive, but it is so good. The Lobster Clamwich and tots were about $20 for the pair. It was an average burger sized sandwich with plenty of clams and a decent amount of lobster. The sauce on the sandwich was really good (I could have used more). The tots have an old bay seasoning and were also really great, also a decent portion. If you feel like splurging for some good fresh seafood, give it a go. (Ordered through Seamless)

Slowest service I have ever experienced, unkind staff, and not hygienic
