I had a great experience at Rockefeller. The food was amazing. The staff was really nice. They were very busy at 6:30 PM. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I definitely will be back.

The burger of the month didn’t quite appeal to me this time. Opted for the veggie stir fry pasta instead, and it was a delightful surprise! The dish featured a medley of fresh vegetables—crisp bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, and snap peas—tossed in a savory garlic soy glaze over perfectly cooked noodles. Flavorful and satisfying, it might just become my new go-to. My friend stuck with the $2 Roadhouse burger, which she enjoyed. We both appreciated the exceptional service from Ryan—attentive, friendly, and efficient. Another highlight was their happy hour, running Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 6 PM. They offer $6-$7 select beers, $8 well cocktails, and $8 select wines—a fantastic deal, especially given the prime location on the pier. If next month’s burger doesn’t entice me, I won’t hesitate to order that veggie stir fry pasta again.

Google
This is a very busy restaurant with average Americana food. I had the chicken pot pie and was underwhelmed by it. It tasted good, but I expected a pie crust (just a small pie dough "lid" was supplied. It was more of a "soup". Others in our party large party enjoyed their flat breads and salmon dished far more than I did mine. So, I would say it is a pretty good, but not great restaurant. The noise level is high during dinner.

Google
I’m only gonna really talk about the food, the server was decent. The chicken and waffles is basically frozen chicken and the waffles are giving the same quality of frozen. The taste was bland, the syrup was taste less and hot sauce was good.even the smell of the chicken when it first arrived was bringing me back to middle school cafeteria frozen re heated chicken smell. It’s chicken cutlet not thigh or drum like I expected so it’s not fresh battered chicken. And the waffles claimed to be cinnamon but i didn’t get a glimpse of the spice. If you’re just hungry in the morning and need a lil bite then eat eat eat but otherwise I don’t recommend this dish tbh.

Google
Rockefeller in Hermosa Beach is always a great experience. The interior is beautiful and inviting, and the staff is genuinely friendly and attentive. I’ve tried both brunch and lunch dishes, and everything has been fantastic. The French Toast, Chicken & Waffles, and Rockefeller Burger were all perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Highly recommend this spot for any meal.

Google
You can’t go wrong with Rockefeller for fresh bites and great atmosphere. The Ahi wonton nachos were amazing. We can’t wait to come back again.

Google
Karen was an amazing server! She made our experience so much fun, joked around with our group, and kept everything running smoothly. You can tell she loves what she does — we had a blast thanks to her!

Google
Love Fish Taco, appetizers and ….. most importantly wonderful friendly staff and service. Very welcoming environment. Highly recommended. The price was reasonable for a generous high quality portion. Cannot wait to go back.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday at brunch time and got a table outside. We made a reservation in advance. The spot was great and perfect for people watching. Felt upscale and relaxed. I tried the Caesar salad with chicken. And the truffle fries were delicious. Great ambience, food and service. Parking is challenging especially on a Sunday. We found street parking a block down.

Yelp
Had a great time on a Tuesday sitting at the bar. Food and mirror were attend and service was great. Definitely a great spot for locals. Shout out to Ryan

Yelp
I went in on this past Sunday (August 4th) in the early afternoon... after wondering the streets looking for parking. Helpful hint: they have limited parking in the rear. I didn't know this before I arrived so I parked on the street down by the Post Office. Kelly was my server I sat at the Bar and watched the Olympics. I had the Chilaquiles but that was only because I had the Eggs Benedict the day before at another restaurant. Chilaquiles had a great spicy flavor (not to much but enough) I asked for my eggs over easy and they came as I wished for. I had a side of the deep fried grits, it is the vessel the Eggs Benedict is served on, they didn't have a lot of flavor and I couldn't taste the cheese in them so I dropped it into my Chilaquiles bowl LMAO!! The Guava mimosa was refreshing. Kelly cared for me nicely as I sat at the bar by myself I watched as she made small talk with me and took care of other guests needs and kept on top of the servers orders. Atmosphere in here is so nice and relaxing I would definitely recommend a return... it was a overcast 73 degree day - which after coming from the IE (107 + degrees) it was welcomed. Yelp
went for a group brunch on sunday. Restaurant was dead and we were placed in a back room. service was terrible. waitress would disappear for 30 mins at a time. when we asked for refills on coffee we had to wait a hour for them to "brew more" at 10am. food was terrible. everything came out cold. I personally had the rocke salad with shrimp. Salad came out smaller than a side salad, lettuce was limp. there were pools of oil on the plate. The shrimp were fishy. I got food poisoning from them immediately after leaving the restauran.

Yelp
We loved the atmosphere and location, very chill with just enough upscale vibe to keep it authentic. The menu options were creative and amazing! The mango mojito was interesting, not much mango flavor, but tasty nevertheless. The burger was perfection as was the fired zucchini, I especially liked that they were real thick cuts not the thinner too-fried crummy soggy versions I have seen many times before. The fried chicken sandwich was well prepared and tasty as well. There are numerous good choices here! The service was just average though, as our nice server forgot to follow up on a couple of things and apparently went on a long break without getting someone to fill in so there was no one to help for over 25 minutes. All in, it was a good experience overall, the staff was friendly and helpful when asked, my only other comment/critique is that the portions were on the smaller side for the price points, at least include a small side dish option with the sandwiches, just saying!

Yelp
Such amazing burgers!!! Happened to be looking for a bite to eat when in the area and I'm so glad we found this place!! My boyfriend and I shared the burger of the month and the American Prime burger, definitely get both if you can/sharing with someone, both so delicious!! The meat is so juicy and flavorful, the sauce they use really ties everything together. The burger of the month (February) came with gorgonzola cheese, arugula, and we decided to add bacon as per suggestion from Dylan our server!! I'm a big cheese lover so the flavor of the cheese was PERFECTTTTT!! And we sat outside on a beautiful sunny day it was so peaceful I loved it. Definitely want to come back on a Tuesday for $2 burgers!!!!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour on an early weekday so it wasn't busy. Practically had the place to ourselves so the service was great and very attentive. It was a really good space. They had a a pretty decent happy hour menu with a variety of offerings, small tapa sizes. The mexican street tacos and the truffle mac and cheese were a couple of my favorites. The drinks were pretty good as well. Really enjoyed the strawberry yuzu spritzer.

Yelp
I like the modern atmosphere at this restaurant. We made reservations for Hamburger Tuesday, but I don't think reservations were needed. We had the hamburgers but I was told we needed to order a drink in order to get the $2.00 burger . No biggy I always order a beer. They offered one hamburger for the $2.00 special but with no substitutions. It was a good burger but I suggest opening up your choices for additional choices of burgers . I had to take my jalapeños out Very nice Hermosa restaurant. Parking can be an issue

Yelp
What a beautiful establishment in Hermosa Beach, it's clean and the ambiance is phenomenal. Customer Service is exceptional. Love the Bar Area, outdoor seating available in front and back. We came in after lunch hour rush on a Monday, it was great. Fried Chicken Sandwich is marvelous. Tomato Soup is very tasteful. Kelly H. Our Server is so accommodating and kind.

Yelp
Food is fresh and yummy Service is friendly and quick Ambiance is beachfront boardwalk what more do you need ? Hermosa beach is always a great time. Cheers!

Yelp
Calling this Airport food would be a compliment to this place. . I've had better burgers at six flags. The smallest burnt patty I have ever seen. Brown lettuce. Meatballs was 7$ for one the size of a golf ball and a piece of toast from vons, and canned marinara or whatever they are trying to call it. Save your hard earned money, I wasted mine and knew it immediately. PS I never write reviews but felt especially inclined because this was so bad

Yelp
First time coming to this location and I may like it better than the Redondo Beach location. Service was good, we were greeted right away and chose where we wanted to sit. The inside is really nice, very laid back, very roomy. The outside is very expansive too. Only giving it 4 stars because my server forgot my avocado :( and she wasn't very attentive. I dislike having to wait forever for my tab. I do appreciate the space given I guess but I could see some girls sitting next to us getting antsy about the tab too, they took forever. So I see I'm not the only one that gets bothered by this Ordered a cafe latte and it was a 6/10. Went to Starbucks right after for one Btw, this has got to be the best steak and eggs I've had in a while. The steak was well done but very juice. Beyond my expectations. Will definitely be coming back for brunch!!!

Yelp
I was there last night for my daughter's graduation and the staff there were AMAZING!!! We had a large group Mike was the manager and host!! His service was top notch! The food was good! I was told on Tuesdays they have 2.00 burgers during happy hour!! What made the night special is that they left their doors open for us even though they close at 10pm! Mike you and your staff made my daughter's graduation dinner a hit! Thank you!!!

Yelp
I honestly have to give this place a 3. The $2 burgers on Tuesdays peaked my interest on coming here and decided to try the place on a Sunday before inviting more friends for Tuesday. We were seated instantly. The place was a good sized, tables were very close to one another. We were seated in a 2 top section. We looked over the menu, it had a great variety of breakfast and lunch. We decided on the bottomless mimosas, starting with peach. Firstly, I am not a fan of already premixed mimosas especially when they don't do it per champagne bottle. What happens is the fizziness from the champagne disappears and the drink now tastes flat. Yes, there is still alcohol but it's too flat for us to drink. I suggest open a new bottle when each pre-mixed pitcher ends. With that being said we end returning them. So we ending up changing to margaritas. My friend and I ordered, I got the cheese omelette with home fries and my friend got the chicken and waffles. The food was really good and a great portion. Everything was well priced. Margaritas was tasty but still not the right amount of kick. I did also order some short rib tacos to go. I thought they would be more tender and flavorful like the breakfast we just had but sadly it wasn't. I would maybe try again, they have other locations.

Yelp
boring stuff: -parking--outside on the street meters. Not sure about the lot that was mentioned because I didn't see anything. -happy hour--ends at 6. i forget when it starts. maybe 3pm, but don't quote me on that. -attire-- casual. a whole family came in like they just came from the beach and no one batted an eye. I assume this place would be good for a party up to 10 people. not a small group but not super big. -ambience--super cool decor. very beachy but still cool and clean. fun stuff: -service was lightning quick. Food came out so fast I didn't think they were walking towards our table with OUR orders. we maybe waited 3 minutes and they were already bringing food out to our table. MAYBE 10 minutes for the burgers, as they're made to order. they even came by with fresh refills on my fountain soda before I could even think of asking for a refill. the staff is also super friendly. -orders (from the happy hour menu) --the mess--like carne asada fries without the meat. 8/10 --chips and guac--house made chips and guac. the chips are definitely my kind of tortilla chip, and the guac was perfectly chunky and well-seasoned. --the $2 burger of the month--a western style burg with bbq sauce. very nice. note: we went on a tuesday for $2 burger tuesday during happy hour, as anyone reading this should. (they rotate burger flavors every month. find them on social media for updates on that.) we made our reservation on Open Table, 10/10 recommend making any kind of reservation with that website. 10/10 will be coming back. bring your friends and don't forget SPF.

Yelp
First time at Rockefeller for a weekday brunch with a friend, and it was a great experience! Kelly was awesome--super friendly, attentive, and gave great menu recommendations- especially the hot chocolate! She even saved my umbrella, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I have been dining at multiple Rockefeller locations for years and have never had any issues with the food or service until yesterday. I went with a group of friends for brunch and were greeted by the host who was very sweet and accommodating even though we were 10 minutes late to our reservation, and I was appreciative. The manager was very attentive and made sure to come back multiple times to see how we were doing and if anything else was needed. My issue was with our server, Karen H. From the very beginning we felt rushed to order, unwelcome, and belittled. A friend in my group ordered the Sancho burrito with a over hard fried egg, unfortunately the egg came over easy with they did not like, so we politely asked if we can get another with the egg scrambled instead, the manager came to apologize and reassured they were correcting it. Karen decided to come back and say "next time for you just order it scrambled instead", which I felt was rude and unnecessary. The redo took about 20 minutes, which we understood because it was busy. We also had another friend join us pretty late because of work, and had ordered their meal last, everyone else's food was brought which was fine, I thought maybe they were waiting until the last person showed up to bring out the food because the others arrived very quickly, so I politely let her know that they were parking and they can bring out the food whenever it was ready. Karen decided to respond and say "Well you ordered it last so it gets here when it gets here" again rude, unprofessional, and unnecessary. We've always come here for the bottomless mimosas and understand the time frame we are given, but it would be nice for them to come back more frequently to ask if we wanted more, we were only asked 3 times and we asked an additional 2 which took some time to get. I would also like to add, we were not asked what flavor we wanted to begin with, she just brought out Orange. Then comes the bill, in which we noticed we were charged for the additional burrito that was supposed to be a redo, I was confused as to why it was added when it was taken away from my friend in order to remake it the way they wanted it. If the burrito was left on the table and another was brought out I would understand the charge, but the first burrito was sent back to the kitchen so an additional should not have been charged. When I brought it up to the manager we were being told it was being comped which I didn't understand still, because the burrito had only 2-3 bites taken from it until they realized the egg. Mind you, we did not want a free meal, I just wanted to pay for what was fair and pay only for what we ate and drank, never once did I ask for it to be comped, I just wanted the additional burrito that was sent back to the kitchen to be removed. Overall I would say this is my least favorite Rockefeller location after my experience yesterday and will only be dining in Manhattan after my interaction.

Yelp
This is a neighborhood restaurant in the best sense! Excellent service, great menu, fresh and delicious food, casual but elegant space, and the warmest welcomes around. It's also an incredible family restaurant where you can actually bring your kids (complete with a kids menu and table heights that are better for little children). I recently came on a whim for their Tuesday burger night special and had such a great time that I booked a large group reservation for brunch soon after. The food is super good for a great price (especially being so close to the beach in LA South Bay) but what really takes the cake is the absolute superior service I got here, when there were just two of us, and when there were 8 of us including two little kids with severe food allergies. The menu truly has something for everyone, which is often not the case at other places. I was impressed that they were able to answer every question regarding allergens and make changes and accommodations without giving anyone a hard time. Bc of their allergies the kids were able to eat here and feel normal, not ostracized, which was great bc it was their first experience dining in a restaurant (first timers due to Covid and their severe allergies). Food reccs: - Sweet potato bombs-- they're curried and so fragrant! Great appetizer - The burgers! - Salads are huge and super fresh - The on-tap lemonade rose! It's so refreshing followed by a zap of tart lemon, so unique! For such a large group experience, they truly took care of us, letting us have a great space in the back room that gave us privacy and also checking in on us frequently. There are 3 Rockefellers in South Bay, but this one was recently remodeled and it's pretty nice inside. The only challenge is parking (there's a small lot in back otherwise metered street parking that's hard to get) but that's not the restaurants fault. This restaurant is an ASSET to the community. I know we'll be here again and again and will bring all sorts of family and friends here.

Yelp
My friend was in town, so she was her excuse to have a college reunion brunch here. We made reservations, and even though we were about 20 minutes late, they still sat us.. even though half of our party to another 20 minutes to show up. A few of us ordered bottomless mimosas, you kind of have to chase them to come refill your mimosas, or they won't really come by to check on you. I decided to skip on the bottomless mimosas, and ordered the white sangria, it was really good, a variety of fresh fruit was included in the drink. I also ordered the short rib burrito, which was amazing! Living in San Diego? we usually have the best Mexican food, so I really impressive how delicious this burrito was. We also ordered some sweet potato tots for the table, they come with a side of curry like dip, pretty interesting combination, highly recommend!

Yelp
Unbelievable find! Tuesdays are $2 burger nights and we are talking a delicious ground prime rib American classic burger with carmelized onions, delicious sauce, and all the fixings. The bun is grilled and large but airy, not too dense. But that's not all, Liam is a dream! He is friendly, charismatic and memorized everyone's order. No notes needed. He checked on us regularly and was so friendly. We also had the mac and cheese and zucchini fries. Both were delicious as well. We missed their happy hour, but the white sangrias made in house were worth it! I am excited to go back and try more and hopefully see Liam again. It is amazing how much great staff (all the staff that interacted with us were great) can affect the restaurant experience. Thank you!

Yelp
Good service - friendly and attentive Ambiance is good - great location near hermosa beach Quick dinner before hitting the comedy and magic club Salad was really good and French fries are good. Only beer and wine are offered - no cocktails. The tacos that my friends had were pretty bland - need more seasoning and spice. Seems like minor recipe fixes. Relaxed setting to have happy hour or a chill night out. Kid friendly. There's a lot of metered parking nearby - 2 hour limit.
google avatar

Kristi H.

Yelp
Cute little brunch spot! They have bottomless mimosas for only $21.95 for 60 minutes. Our waitress was very attentive and chill on the time limit which let us get our bang for our buck. They also let you try all 4 flavors (orange, mango, guava & peach) at anytime because they are pre-mixed. Food was decent. Wasn't blown away by the waffles but they weren't bad. Highly advise making a reservation because it was packed at 12:30pm. I'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I went to the Rockefeller for the first time for brunch yesterday. The service at the Rockefeller was great; the food was delicious and the restaurant outdoor seating was clean. Well, why just 4 stars then, right?! There was an unwillingness to bend on a menu item I wanted. I'm probably acting like an entitled child but I wanted the cheesy grits that they offer as a side with the pork belly Benedict entree. It was not an option as a side so I asked if they could just charge for a side of potatoes or whatever they felt was a fair price but the server told us the manager was firm on the decision. So, this could have easily been a 5 star review. May I suggest you add the sides to your menu even if it's just during brunch.
google avatar

Al W.

Yelp
Not a good first and last experience. Visiting the area and decided to give it a try. Very bland flavors in both dishes we got. The chilaquiles were simply chips tossed in some sauce with crème drizzled on top. Honestly with no exaggeration, this was the worst chicken and waffle I've ever had. I wasn't expecting a dry chicken cutlet with the flavorless, soft waffle. Service was also not up to par. Waited 20 mins to order drinks and had to return the margarita because it tasted like lemonade. Watched the bartender taste my drink with a straw 3 times and he still served a drink overpowered with lime juice.

Yelp
Our book club met for our annual holiday dinner.....had an amazing evening! Started with Brussels Sprouts and spicy green beans! We had great service in a private room! Everyone loved their meal!

Yelp
This place has a great location with indoor and outdoor seating, fantastic service and a great menu (including strong happy hour offering). Only reason they didn't get higher rating is because this is a nice restaurant but their sandwiches are a la carte (see photo below)

Yelp
Nice looking place Hostess was nice and the waitress was prompt Got a blonde beer was good. The October Burger Special which they say is 4oz of meat with no seasoning or flavor at allmore like 3oz and I asked for it rare and came out well done and again cooks who can't tell the difference between rare and well done. Also the specialty burger had a deep over cooked hash brown, Cole slaw with no seasoning and a green chili. Glad it was $2 because at full price I would be mad.

Yelp
1st time on a super windy day and I was really impressed. All our meals were excellent and Teresa was super awesome. Should have tried it sooner. We will definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Birthday celebration for our nephew! The food was great! The service was wonderful. We were seated outside, and the weather was perfect near the beach on this day! We ordered our meals, starting with zucchini fries as an appetizer. Several of us had the chicken and waffles, I added a side of bacon. Two others ordered the hangar steak and eggs, and my wife had the seared Ahi Salad. Fresh squeezed lemonade as my beverage. We ended with dessert, warm homemade chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and drizzled chocolate sauce! Everything was delicious and we were all very pleased with everything! We're definitely looking forward to coming back again.

Yelp
The Rockefeller hit the spot for a nice dinner with my sister. It's located on the main drag but up from the pier. It's nicely decorated and cozy, and we were welcomed right away by our server who was doubling as the bartender. They offer an extensive draft beer list which we both took advantage of right away and ordered up a couple of ice cold, refreshing brews which were much needed after a long day at work. The cuisine feels very California inspired with items like Ahi Wonton Nachos, Vegan Chop Salad and Pan Roasted Chicken. We both went with the American Prime Burger, a double prime angus patty, American cheese, tomato, caramelized onion, romaine lettuce, pickles and Rockefeller aioli on a Portuguese bun. Silly me, I thought that "double prime" was a type of meat but it really meant double patties, so the burger was huge! It was delicious and juicy though so we both finished it. We split a side of the Zucchini Fries which were a generous portion but not as crisp as I would have liked. I could see myself becoming a regular here. I just dream of the day that they bring back the $1 burger Tuesdays!
google avatar

Jessica Y.

Yelp
Came here after an evening bike ride because we were looking for some good burgers. We compared burger prices to other restaurants nearby and this one was the cheapest. When we got there we discovered they also have amazing happy hour deals AND $2 burger Tuesdays! I loved their drink selection and to top it off the American prime burger was delicious! We had a rotating staff of waiter/waitresses that kept checking in on us and the ambiance inside and outside was really nice. This will be our new meet up spot on weekdays!

Yelp
Great place. Great Food. Great Service. Kelly, our waiter, was great too. Thanks guys.

Yelp
The service is good and wait staff is really attentive and nice! The food is just OK. I was there for brunch and got the French toast, it was soggy and the flavor was off. There are not a ton of options on the menu. It's a nice location, but I don't think I'll make the trek to Hermosa for this restaurant again.

Raul P.

Yelp
Thank you Robert B for taking care of us great service from everyone I'll be back for an espresso martini

Yelp
We went here for NYE 2024 and it didn't disappoint. I dove into a flatbread that was perfectly sliced and topped with an unknown sauce that kept it from being dry. My ice got the tacos which was a lot of food and she was happy with them. Her aunt got a chicken pot pie and said she would highly recommend it. The service was good and thorough. The environment was nice. A little bit loud but nothing we couldn't get past. I'd you're hard of hearing it could get loud maybe later in the night, we had dinner at 830. Overall great experience and recommended!

Yelp
I came with my friends after a night of drinking and partying . French toast AMAZING ... Sancho Buritto AMAZING . No choonies mimoas AMAZING!! We were served Karen her service was amazing very attentive and friendly . She kept the mimosas coming !! The busser Steven was also dope it was his 1st day very friendly and respectuful with a great work ethic! Great time great food great vibe !!

Allee S.

Yelp
Strict bottomless mimosas, only allowed 60 mins for it. They say it's to promote "drinking responsibly" but they had no problem offering us to buy individual mimosas after the hour for $8 a piece. Pork belly Benedict was weird. Hollandaise lacked flavor and overall felt too rich/greasy with fried grits

Yelp
Found Rockefeller while in search for a brunch spot! The renovations inside the restaurant are very nice, beautiful wood tables and a nice fireplace. One thing that surprised me was that they did not have non-dairy alternatives for your coffee. They also do not carry hot tea. So, I went with a mimosa. The mimosa was yummy! I ordered the 2 eggs any style breakfast. The breakfast tasted like your standard home-made breakfast. My friend ordered the Sancho burrito. The portion is big for the burrito! I got to try it and I liked the braised short rib in it. It was nice to try a new spot, but I'm still in search of a new go to brunch spot. Overall, had a lovely Sunday.

Yelp
My bf and I live locally and you'd think we'd get sick of this place with how often we come but how could we?! Kelly and Mike are phenomenal and are always insanely kind and accommodating and the food is always delicious. The new cocktail menu really is just the cherry on top.

Yelp
We loved our visit thanks to Karen! She was the most thoughtful and caring server we could have had. Thank you for making our graduate feel so special. The food was also great!

Yelp
Had a nice and reasonably priced brunch with my family. Chicken wrap was delicious and my kids liked the pancakes. Staff sat us in an area to accommodate my sleeping baby. The atmosphere was cozy for a dreary day. Thanks for a nice meal!

Yelp
I had such a great brunch experience here! A friend and I made reservations for 930 on a Sunday and it wasn't busy at all then, but definitely was busy by the time we left. The inside was recently remodeled and the decor is great. The manager (?) who greeted us was very nice and checked in on us throughout the meal. Our server was also great and gave other recommendations of things to do in the area. Loved the bottomless mimosas with the different flavors. Orange is too boring! The food was excellent. I walked out without my phone and they chased me down. I would very much recommend this place.

Yelp
Fun spot for drinks and conversation, great music and they have bottomless too. I would say the food is pretty eh quality so I would not go here expecting a great meal. I do recommend the atmosphere for a fun meetup!
