Rockefeller is one of our favorite restaurants and the Hermosa location is always happening with a young fun crowd and relaxed atmosphere to fits perfectly with the great menu. The space is very open so you can feel you are at the beach and they always have specials and events going at all the locations. Some of our favorites are the burgers, fish tacos, chicken sandwich, steak salad or sandwich is bomb as their steak is great... it can be hard to decide because there are plenty of options, flatbreads, truffle fries or mac and cheese to die for. Don't forget about happy hour for a great value. Rockefeller is a locals' favorite that will keep you coming back again and again because its a fun spot with good food and good times.

I am obsessed with this food. I really enjoyed the excellent presentation of the menu and the end result of the food. Thanks for bringing France to Hermosa Beach. Yes, we took some of the French onion 🍲 home and enjoyed it on day 2.

I had a great experience at Rockefeller. The food was amazing. The staff was really nice. They were very busy at 6:30 PM. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I definitely will be back.

3rd Tuesday night of each month, me and a group of about 8 other friends gather in the back room for the $2 burger deal with a drink. This is a great deal. The food is very good and so is the service. Michael and his staff do an awesome job making sure that we and the rest of the patrons are tended to. I highly recommend ya'll c9me down to Rockefellers in Hermosa. Just blocks from the beach. You wont be disappointed.

Ordered a burger - it was absolutely delicious! The service was quick and friendly, and the place itself is very cozy and full of character. Definitely coming back again!

Google
Rocefeller's is an absolute must for us everytime we visit Hermosa. The food is consistently great, atmosphere inviting and service impeccable. We brought friends who had been with us previously. They insisted on going again. One of the party had the herb roasted chicken which was plentiful and filled with flavor. Another one of the party had the seared Ahi Tacos which were delicious. I had the southwest chicken wrap which was huge! I also had the zucchini fries which were amazing. Not hard to stick to a diet in this place but still come away full. Our server was Michael W. He was efficient, pleasant and allowed us to visit with each other. No pressure. Excellent restaurant and we're already looking foward to our return!

Google
The burger of the month didn’t quite appeal to me this time. Opted for the veggie stir fry pasta instead, and it was a delightful surprise! The dish featured a medley of fresh vegetables—crisp bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, and snap peas—tossed in a savory garlic soy glaze over perfectly cooked noodles. Flavorful and satisfying, it might just become my new go-to. My friend stuck with the $2 Roadhouse burger, which she enjoyed. We both appreciated the exceptional service from Ryan—attentive, friendly, and efficient. Another highlight was their happy hour, running Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 6 PM. They offer $6-$7 select beers, $8 well cocktails, and $8 select wines—a fantastic deal, especially given the prime location on the pier. If next month’s burger doesn’t entice me, I won’t hesitate to order that veggie stir fry pasta again.

Google
Cute and casual restaurant in hermosa. Sat outside by myself. Food was good service was better. Definitely a good place to come for brunch or with a date or group of friends. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
We came for the $2 burgers and were sold. The service was great, the food delicious and the ambiance was like sitting in your living room. I forgot to take a picture of the truffle machine and cheese that was to die for. They were so good we forgot to take a picture. We will definitely come back for brunch.

Yelp
Stopped at this restaurant because Redwood Pie was over an hour wait. Got some guac and chips and meatballs to start. The guac lacked flavor, didn't have that tang and flavor that you would get from a Mexican place. The meatballs were decent, nothing to ride home about, feel like there could have been more spices added to it. The steak sandwich was the above average part of everything, steak was tender and they had some tomato and sauce in it to make this a solid sandwich. The house fries were pretty bad, it's like they tried something different and it's just not good. The fries are hard as a rock when you bite into them, it's like eating a chip. The flavor wasn't bad but let's just stick to regular fries please. Paid a hefty bill for all this, will not be coming back personally. Guac and Chips: 6.1 Meatballs: 6.9 Steak Sandwich: 8.0 House Fries: 6.1

Yelp
We had been coming here almost every other week. My son and my brother love their burger! My boyfriend and I usually would get the steak and eggs and the pasta 3 times the steak did not taste good. It had a weird taste. I did let them know and I don't think they even cared. I'm sure they must be getting their meat from a different source, IDK but it's just not the same meat it was before!! Also, one of the last times we came in I got avocado toast instead and this thing was tiny. I had gotten their avocado toast before and it wasn't the same bread either!! And still had the audacity to charge full price when it literally took 3 small bites to finish it. Not planning on coming back, there are many other great restaurants around!

Yelp
I really like this location! Bigger than the Redondo one, service was friendly & food was good. Had their burger of the month for November. It was good, I was expecting more flavor, but still yummy.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday at brunch time and got a table outside. We made a reservation in advance. The spot was great and perfect for people watching. Felt upscale and relaxed. I tried the Caesar salad with chicken. And the truffle fries were delicious. Great ambience, food and service. Parking is challenging especially on a Sunday. We found street parking a block down.
google avatar

Yelp
Service was good but my chicken and waffles were mid. The boneless chicken breast cutlets were a little dry and lacked flavor. Also, I would have preferred a whole piece of fried chicken and a better presentation of the food. I wouldn't order it again.

Yelp
I've always passed by this place when heading down to the pier, however, never ate here thinking it was a basic food restaurant. To my surprise it was a cool place to have brunch! There's plenty of beers and cocktails to choose from plus the bottomless mimosas are a nice treat on the weekends. I tried the Chicken and Avocado Burrito Wet from their brunch menu. So delicious! Definitely try it wet as it adds so much flavor. The Healthy Steak Salad was excellent as well. Full of flavor and the hangar steak slices were so tender! The Truffle and Parmesan French Fries were good to share or pairs well with their Burger of the Day. The place feels nice and airy with the back door open and the front open to the sidewalk. It's a rustic modern home feel with TVs to watch sports. I like the idea of being able to sit in different areas (backyard, main dining area, smaller quieter back room, outside front patio or next to the fireplace). It definitely accommodates different types of gatherings. I thought it was a cool space for kids with the free video game when adult conversations aren't as enjoyable. The staff checked on us frequently and made the day more enjoyable with their friendly demeanor. This place has a cool vibe with tasty food. I'll have to come back during dinner or to try out their $2 Tuesday burgers.

Yelp
I went in on this past Sunday (August 4th) in the early afternoon... after wondering the streets looking for parking. Helpful hint: they have limited parking in the rear. I didn't know this before I arrived so I parked on the street down by the Post Office. Kelly was my server I sat at the Bar and watched the Olympics. I had the Chilaquiles but that was only because I had the Eggs Benedict the day before at another restaurant. Chilaquiles had a great spicy flavor (not to much but enough) I asked for my eggs over easy and they came as I wished for. I had a side of the deep fried grits, it is the vessel the Eggs Benedict is served on, they didn't have a lot of flavor and I couldn't taste the cheese in them so I dropped it into my Chilaquiles bowl LMAO!! The Guava mimosa was refreshing. Kelly cared for me nicely as I sat at the bar by myself I watched as she made small talk with me and took care of other guests needs and kept on top of the servers orders. Atmosphere in here is so nice and relaxing I would definitely recommend a return... it was a overcast 73 degree day - which after coming from the IE (107 + degrees) it was welcomed. Yelp
We loved the atmosphere and location, very chill with just enough upscale vibe to keep it authentic. The menu options were creative and amazing! The mango mojito was interesting, not much mango flavor, but tasty nevertheless. The burger was perfection as was the fired zucchini, I especially liked that they were real thick cuts not the thinner too-fried crummy soggy versions I have seen many times before. The fried chicken sandwich was well prepared and tasty as well. There are numerous good choices here! The service was just average though, as our nice server forgot to follow up on a couple of things and apparently went on a long break without getting someone to fill in so there was no one to help for over 25 minutes. All in, it was a good experience overall, the staff was friendly and helpful when asked, my only other comment/critique is that the portions were on the smaller side for the price points, at least include a small side dish option with the sandwiches, just saying!

Yelp
Such amazing burgers!!! Happened to be looking for a bite to eat when in the area and I'm so glad we found this place!! My boyfriend and I shared the burger of the month and the American Prime burger, definitely get both if you can/sharing with someone, both so delicious!! The meat is so juicy and flavorful, the sauce they use really ties everything together. The burger of the month (February) came with gorgonzola cheese, arugula, and we decided to add bacon as per suggestion from Dylan our server!! I'm a big cheese lover so the flavor of the cheese was PERFECTTTTT!! And we sat outside on a beautiful sunny day it was so peaceful I loved it. Definitely want to come back on a Tuesday for $2 burgers!!!!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour on an early weekday so it wasn't busy. Practically had the place to ourselves so the service was great and very attentive. It was a really good space. They had a a pretty decent happy hour menu with a variety of offerings, small tapa sizes. The mexican street tacos and the truffle mac and cheese were a couple of my favorites. The drinks were pretty good as well. Really enjoyed the strawberry yuzu spritzer.

Yelp
My daughter came here with her friend to have some lunch. They have been many times before. This time was different the waiter seemed to be put off for some reason. Not sure if it was because they are high-school age? Needless to say I was very disappointed how my daughter was treated. Not happy with the experience at all nor was I happy with the lack of communication from the waiter who didn't let her know that it was an additional charge for a refill on a Shirley temple! Her prior times that she was there she was not charged for a refill which might be a new thing but still this should have been communicated. I've lived in Hermosa my whole life. I am disappointed in this service. I hope the Rockefeller will address these issues with their staff. Not happy!

Yelp
What a beautiful establishment in Hermosa Beach, it's clean and the ambiance is phenomenal. Customer Service is exceptional. Love the Bar Area, outdoor seating available in front and back. We came in after lunch hour rush on a Monday, it was great. Fried Chicken Sandwich is marvelous. Tomato Soup is very tasteful. Kelly H. Our Server is so accommodating and kind.

Yelp
I was there last night for my daughter's graduation and the staff there were AMAZING!!! We had a large group Mike was the manager and host!! His service was top notch! The food was good! I was told on Tuesdays they have 2.00 burgers during happy hour!! What made the night special is that they left their doors open for us even though they close at 10pm! Mike you and your staff made my daughter's graduation dinner a hit! Thank you!!!

Yelp
We went to the Rockefeller in Hermosa Beach for their Burger Special last night and everything was wonderful. The restaurant was very busy yet everyone took the time to make us feel welcome. The vibe and decor were amazing. The staff were all highly attentive and friendly and the food, omg the food! We got a couple of the $2 burgers, the vegan chopped salad and some share plates and everything was amazing. I wish I could give them 6 stars.

Yelp
My friends and I usually enjoyed coming to eat here and never felt too uncomfortable here, especially as teens (the age group that servers usually least like). Though today our server was very off putting and we overall noticed a big difference in the service we got compared to others in the room. I know it's common to not serve teens as fast as they are less likely to tip (even though I actually do tip) but it's not right to be treated disrespectfully. All of our food had an astronomical amount of butter and grease (way too much) and nothing was done about it except for a "sorry." Our server also didn't inform us that a "refill" of a Shirley temple would mean paying the price of 2. It is fine that the restaurant has rules about refills, but a customer should be informed beforehand about that additional $12 dollar price they're going to see on their check. When we asked to split the check as many groups do when they go out, our server also rolled his eyes out of annoyance like we were the biggest burden of the day. We had been so polite and respectful, so it makes no sense why we were treated like this. Even though we are younger, we still deserve respect. Overall very disappointed in this experience as we used to really enjoy coming here.

Yelp
Rockefeller is a gem in Hermosa Beach. The space is bright, modern, and welcoming, and the staff is always attentive and kind. I've had dishes from both the brunch and lunch menu, and everything was excellent -- the French Toast, Chicken & Waffles, and Rockefeller Burger were all standout items. A reliable spot for a delicious meal anytime.

Yelp
I like the modern atmosphere at this restaurant. We made reservations for Hamburger Tuesday, but I don't think reservations were needed. We had the hamburgers but I was told we needed to order a drink in order to get the $2.00 burger . No biggy I always order a beer. They offered one hamburger for the $2.00 special but with no substitutions. It was a good burger but I suggest opening up your choices for additional choices of burgers . I had to take my jalapeños out Very nice Hermosa restaurant. Parking can be an issue

Yelp
Service for me and my friends and family was bad. Food okay. I'm not sure if people that look like me are welcome because even brown people felt it was okay for us to be ignored. I will not be back.

Yelp
I honestly have to give this place a 3. The $2 burgers on Tuesdays peaked my interest on coming here and decided to try the place on a Sunday before inviting more friends for Tuesday. We were seated instantly. The place was a good sized, tables were very close to one another. We were seated in a 2 top section. We looked over the menu, it had a great variety of breakfast and lunch. We decided on the bottomless mimosas, starting with peach. Firstly, I am not a fan of already premixed mimosas especially when they don't do it per champagne bottle. What happens is the fizziness from the champagne disappears and the drink now tastes flat. Yes, there is still alcohol but it's too flat for us to drink. I suggest open a new bottle when each pre-mixed pitcher ends. With that being said we end returning them. So we ending up changing to margaritas. My friend and I ordered, I got the cheese omelette with home fries and my friend got the chicken and waffles. The food was really good and a great portion. Everything was well priced. Margaritas was tasty but still not the right amount of kick. I did also order some short rib tacos to go. I thought they would be more tender and flavorful like the breakfast we just had but sadly it wasn't. I would maybe try again, they have other locations.

Yelp
boring stuff: -parking--outside on the street meters. Not sure about the lot that was mentioned because I didn't see anything. -happy hour--ends at 6. i forget when it starts. maybe 3pm, but don't quote me on that. -attire-- casual. a whole family came in like they just came from the beach and no one batted an eye. I assume this place would be good for a party up to 10 people. not a small group but not super big. -ambience--super cool decor. very beachy but still cool and clean. fun stuff: -service was lightning quick. Food came out so fast I didn't think they were walking towards our table with OUR orders. we maybe waited 3 minutes and they were already bringing food out to our table. MAYBE 10 minutes for the burgers, as they're made to order. they even came by with fresh refills on my fountain soda before I could even think of asking for a refill. the staff is also super friendly. -orders (from the happy hour menu) --the mess--like carne asada fries without the meat. 8/10 --chips and guac--house made chips and guac. the chips are definitely my kind of tortilla chip, and the guac was perfectly chunky and well-seasoned. --the $2 burger of the month--a western style burg with bbq sauce. very nice. note: we went on a tuesday for $2 burger tuesday during happy hour, as anyone reading this should. (they rotate burger flavors every month. find them on social media for updates on that.) we made our reservation on Open Table, 10/10 recommend making any kind of reservation with that website. 10/10 will be coming back. bring your friends and don't forget SPF.

Yelp
So, I love the old fashions and fire place here!! But was refused tonight a free birthday desert!!! I have no one!! My family members are all deceased!!!! Improve buy horning my birthday desert!! I'm 54yrs old!!! And sovl alone!! But enjoy sitting and sipping in front of your fire feature.

Yelp
Calling this Airport food would be a compliment to this place. . I've had better burgers at six flags. The smallest burnt patty I have ever seen. Brown lettuce. Meatballs was 7$ for one the size of a golf ball and a piece of toast from vons, and canned marinara or whatever they are trying to call it. Save your hard earned money, I wasted mine and knew it immediately. PS I never write reviews but felt especially inclined because this was so bad

Yelp
This is a neighborhood restaurant in the best sense! Excellent service, great menu, fresh and delicious food, casual but elegant space, and the warmest welcomes around. It's also an incredible family restaurant where you can actually bring your kids (complete with a kids menu and table heights that are better for little children). I recently came on a whim for their Tuesday burger night special and had such a great time that I booked a large group reservation for brunch soon after. The food is super good for a great price (especially being so close to the beach in LA South Bay) but what really takes the cake is the absolute superior service I got here, when there were just two of us, and when there were 8 of us including two little kids with severe food allergies. The menu truly has something for everyone, which is often not the case at other places. I was impressed that they were able to answer every question regarding allergens and make changes and accommodations without giving anyone a hard time. Bc of their allergies the kids were able to eat here and feel normal, not ostracized, which was great bc it was their first experience dining in a restaurant (first timers due to Covid and their severe allergies). Food reccs: - Sweet potato bombs-- they're curried and so fragrant! Great appetizer - The burgers! - Salads are huge and super fresh - The on-tap lemonade rose! It's so refreshing followed by a zap of tart lemon, so unique! For such a large group experience, they truly took care of us, letting us have a great space in the back room that gave us privacy and also checking in on us frequently. There are 3 Rockefellers in South Bay, but this one was recently remodeled and it's pretty nice inside. The only challenge is parking (there's a small lot in back otherwise metered street parking that's hard to get) but that's not the restaurants fault. This restaurant is an ASSET to the community. I know we'll be here again and again and will bring all sorts of family and friends here.

Lena S.

Yelp
I won't lie, I never write reviews on here but felt the need to just because this food was genuinely some of the worst breakfast food I've ever spent money on at a restaurant. I got the chicken breakfast burrito and all I can really say is it was a mushy flavorless mess, the egg whites and "chicken" were impossibly to tell apart, the black beans just further ruined this texturally and I don't think there was seasoning on everything. Just overall insanely bland, a texture nightmare, and leaking all over the place. I will say, the staff was great, but just because of the food I would not come here again.

Yelp
I tried the Rockefeller burger and had some cocktails. Everything was good. Would definitely go again!

Yelp
We've had a lot of restaurant experiences, however this one stood out due to the service we received . It was our first time visiting and our waitress Taylor went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and truly made our family dinner enjoyable. It was the perfect balance of friendly and professional. We will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Just went to Rockefeller the other day, and let me just say this place is amazing! Our food was great, the ambiance of the restaurant made us all feel like we were at home, and most importantly, the service was absolutely incredible! Our server Taylor P. was super attentive, sweet, and welcoming, as well as everyone else working there. Highly recommend coming to Rockefeller!!

Yelp
Amazing service! Our waitress, Taylor did a great job zero complaints. And the food was really good!

Yelp
My friend was in town, so she was her excuse to have a college reunion brunch here. We made reservations, and even though we were about 20 minutes late, they still sat us.. even though half of our party to another 20 minutes to show up. A few of us ordered bottomless mimosas, you kind of have to chase them to come refill your mimosas, or they won't really come by to check on you. I decided to skip on the bottomless mimosas, and ordered the white sangria, it was really good, a variety of fresh fruit was included in the drink. I also ordered the short rib burrito, which was amazing! Living in San Diego? we usually have the best Mexican food, so I really impressive how delicious this burrito was. We also ordered some sweet potato tots for the table, they come with a side of curry like dip, pretty interesting combination, highly recommend!

Yelp
Unbelievable find! Tuesdays are $2 burger nights and we are talking a delicious ground prime rib American classic burger with carmelized onions, delicious sauce, and all the fixings. The bun is grilled and large but airy, not too dense. But that's not all, Liam is a dream! He is friendly, charismatic and memorized everyone's order. No notes needed. He checked on us regularly and was so friendly. We also had the mac and cheese and zucchini fries. Both were delicious as well. We missed their happy hour, but the white sangrias made in house were worth it! I am excited to go back and try more and hopefully see Liam again. It is amazing how much great staff (all the staff that interacted with us were great) can affect the restaurant experience. Thank you!

Yelp
Good service - friendly and attentive Ambiance is good - great location near hermosa beach Quick dinner before hitting the comedy and magic club Salad was really good and French fries are good. Only beer and wine are offered - no cocktails. The tacos that my friends had were pretty bland - need more seasoning and spice. Seems like minor recipe fixes. Relaxed setting to have happy hour or a chill night out. Kid friendly. There's a lot of metered parking nearby - 2 hour limit.

Yelp
First time at Rockefeller for a weekday brunch with a friend, and it was a great experience! Kelly was awesome--super friendly, attentive, and gave great menu recommendations- especially the hot chocolate! She even saved my umbrella, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I have been dining at multiple Rockefeller locations for years and have never had any issues with the food or service until yesterday. I went with a group of friends for brunch and were greeted by the host who was very sweet and accommodating even though we were 10 minutes late to our reservation, and I was appreciative. The manager was very attentive and made sure to come back multiple times to see how we were doing and if anything else was needed. My issue was with our server, Karen H. From the very beginning we felt rushed to order, unwelcome, and belittled. A friend in my group ordered the Sancho burrito with a over hard fried egg, unfortunately the egg came over easy with they did not like, so we politely asked if we can get another with the egg scrambled instead, the manager came to apologize and reassured they were correcting it. Karen decided to come back and say "next time for you just order it scrambled instead", which I felt was rude and unnecessary. The redo took about 20 minutes, which we understood because it was busy. We also had another friend join us pretty late because of work, and had ordered their meal last, everyone else's food was brought which was fine, I thought maybe they were waiting until the last person showed up to bring out the food because the others arrived very quickly, so I politely let her know that they were parking and they can bring out the food whenever it was ready. Karen decided to respond and say "Well you ordered it last so it gets here when it gets here" again rude, unprofessional, and unnecessary. We've always come here for the bottomless mimosas and understand the time frame we are given, but it would be nice for them to come back more frequently to ask if we wanted more, we were only asked 3 times and we asked an additional 2 which took some time to get. I would also like to add, we were not asked what flavor we wanted to begin with, she just brought out Orange. Then comes the bill, in which we noticed we were charged for the additional burrito that was supposed to be a redo, I was confused as to why it was added when it was taken away from my friend in order to remake it the way they wanted it. If the burrito was left on the table and another was brought out I would understand the charge, but the first burrito was sent back to the kitchen so an additional should not have been charged. When I brought it up to the manager we were being told it was being comped which I didn't understand still, because the burrito had only 2-3 bites taken from it until they realized the egg. Mind you, we did not want a free meal, I just wanted to pay for what was fair and pay only for what we ate and drank, never once did I ask for it to be comped, I just wanted the additional burrito that was sent back to the kitchen to be removed. Overall I would say this is my least favorite Rockefeller location after my experience yesterday and will only be dining in Manhattan after my interaction.

Yelp
went for a group brunch on sunday. Restaurant was dead and we were placed in a back room. service was terrible. waitress would disappear for 30 mins at a time. when we asked for refills on coffee we had to wait a hour for them to "brew more" at 10am. food was terrible. everything came out cold. I personally had the rocke salad with shrimp. Salad came out smaller than a side salad, lettuce was limp. there were pools of oil on the plate. The shrimp were fishy. I got food poisoning from them immediately after leaving the restauran.

Yelp
Cute little brunch spot! They have bottomless mimosas for only $21.95 for 60 minutes. Our waitress was very attentive and chill on the time limit which let us get our bang for our buck. They also let you try all 4 flavors (orange, mango, guava & peach) at anytime because they are pre-mixed. Food was decent. Wasn't blown away by the waffles but they weren't bad. Highly advise making a reservation because it was packed at 12:30pm. I'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I went to the Rockefeller for the first time for brunch yesterday. The service at the Rockefeller was great; the food was delicious and the restaurant outdoor seating was clean. Well, why just 4 stars then, right?! There was an unwillingness to bend on a menu item I wanted. I'm probably acting like an entitled child but I wanted the cheesy grits that they offer as a side with the pork belly Benedict entree. It was not an option as a side so I asked if they could just charge for a side of potatoes or whatever they felt was a fair price but the server told us the manager was firm on the decision. So, this could have easily been a 5 star review. May I suggest you add the sides to your menu even if it's just during brunch.

Yelp
Not a good first and last experience. Visiting the area and decided to give it a try. Very bland flavors in both dishes we got. The chilaquiles were simply chips tossed in some sauce with crème drizzled on top. Honestly with no exaggeration, this was the worst chicken and waffle I've ever had. I wasn't expecting a dry chicken cutlet with the flavorless, soft waffle. Service was also not up to par. Waited 20 mins to order drinks and had to return the margarita because it tasted like lemonade. Watched the bartender taste my drink with a straw 3 times and he still served a drink overpowered with lime juice.

Yelp
This place has a great location with indoor and outdoor seating, fantastic service and a great menu (including strong happy hour offering). Only reason they didn't get higher rating is because this is a nice restaurant but their sandwiches are a la carte (see photo below)

Yelp
Nice looking place Hostess was nice and the waitress was prompt Got a blonde beer was good. The October Burger Special which they say is 4oz of meat with no seasoning or flavor at allmore like 3oz and I asked for it rare and came out well done and again cooks who can't tell the difference between rare and well done. Also the specialty burger had a deep over cooked hash brown, Cole slaw with no seasoning and a green chili. Glad it was $2 because at full price I would be mad.

Yelp
The Rockefeller hit the spot for a nice dinner with my sister. It's located on the main drag but up from the pier. It's nicely decorated and cozy, and we were welcomed right away by our server who was doubling as the bartender. They offer an extensive draft beer list which we both took advantage of right away and ordered up a couple of ice cold, refreshing brews which were much needed after a long day at work. The cuisine feels very California inspired with items like Ahi Wonton Nachos, Vegan Chop Salad and Pan Roasted Chicken. We both went with the American Prime Burger, a double prime angus patty, American cheese, tomato, caramelized onion, romaine lettuce, pickles and Rockefeller aioli on a Portuguese bun. Silly me, I thought that "double prime" was a type of meat but it really meant double patties, so the burger was huge! It was delicious and juicy though so we both finished it. We split a side of the Zucchini Fries which were a generous portion but not as crisp as I would have liked. I could see myself becoming a regular here. I just dream of the day that they bring back the $1 burger Tuesdays!

Yelp
So DISAPPOINTING ! We went to the Rockefeller last night for dinner, we were seated at our table at 5:55pm. The restaurant was moderately full, but not busy. Happy Hour was still on, but conveniently our waitress didn't walk over to us until 6:01pm even though she watched us being sat. Whatever. Here's where she really failed: no eye contact, dismissive attitude, no attention to detail etc. I ordered a drink, which NEVER came. She didn't even quality check our appetizer or main meals. (Other nicer staff delivered, cleared our plates and refilled our water.) When she did show back up to see if we wanted the bill, I told her to cancel the drink - a mere Diet Coke. Her comment "oh, you didn't get it?" 'Really Taylor P, you've been standing around doing nothing, you can see us, but you didn't check anything?! Taylor P ' here's a suggestion: smile, pretend you like your job, write orders down, follow up, circle like a shark. Waiting tables isn't rocket science and you can interact with a lot of interesting and fun people. Your attitude and personality is that of sand paper. Maybe find a new outlook, or a new job. Shame on Rockefeller for keeping you on staff. Food was good, but your 'not so lovely personality' won't make anyone want to return. You are lucky to have a job and clearly was scheduled for a decent shift. Here's a tip: No one owes you anything.

Yelp
1st time on a super windy day and I was really impressed. All our meals were excellent and Teresa was super awesome. Should have tried it sooner. We will definitely eat here again.
