"There’s something nice about stepping into RockSugar, the sprawling pan-Asian restaurant that has endured through the massive overhaul of the mall in recent years. There’s a killer happy hour with $9 cocktails, as well as a full dinner menu that spans from spring rolls and samosas to noodles, curries, whole fish, and large-format meats." - Farley Elliott

Rock Sugar had a great variety of food on the menu while maintaining the quality of each individual food. The cashew basil chicken we ordered was delicious and the noodles we ordered were also great (the ones with the calamari and shrimp). Seems like a great place to go to share different types of food. The vegetarian options were also solid as a member of my party greatly enjoyed theirs. The experience and ambiance of the restaurant was rather unique and enjoyable as was the staff. When considering the classiness of the restaurant and the quality and flavor of the food, the prices here are actually very reasonable. The cocktail menu looked good but the drinks were rather expensive so I did not order one. Overall great meal and experience. The food and service was good and all was for a fair price.

They have a good happy hour here. They have an open air area in front of the restaurant that's really pleasant to be in. The drinks are good. The happy hour food comes in small portions but is very tasty. If your around the mall during Rocksugar happy hour it's worth interrupting you shopping trip to swing by. Also a good move if you have to wait in one of the giant lines that seem to spring up when new stores open. The lines are much more fun after happy hour!

I LOVE this place!!!! I am willing to drive in heavy traffic to come and enjoy the delicious food and great Ambiance! You walk in and feel transported to a far away Asian land!! Low light with candle vibe and cool zen feeling! The food is excellent quality and very good. Great for a romantic dinner for 2 or a small get together with friends.

I can’t say enough about this place! The atmosphere and decor was outstanding! It feels like you step into another world and is the perfect place for a date or evening with friends and family. For what you get the price is reasonable and good service. The food was very good but the green curry lacked complexity and was bland. I would recommend the Coconut Chicken Soup to start with.

The concierge at my hotel recommend this spot to me….I went twice during my stay. I was very tired and hungry after my flight and the need for food won over the need for sleep.  I was fully intending to place an order and go back to my hotel and eat, but when I walked to the bar to place my order, I changed my mind and stayed. It is a beautiful restaurant with great ambience and atmosphere.  There is a heated area before you actually enter the restaurant and a patio with heaters.  The decor is quite beautiful and not too dark. The staff was quite welcoming even though the restaurant was busy.  I was seated immediately and was brought the Sesame Rice Cakes with a dipping sauce.  I ordered their version of Pad Thai noodles with chicken and peanuts. It was delicious!!  I also ordered their passion fruit cosmo…OMG!  That is definitely a must when you visit. The second time I went, I ordered the Steamed Malaysian Sea Bass and the Spicy Stir Fried Brussel Sprouts.  The ginger sauce was a little too sweet for my taste, but it was delicious.  I want to make the Brussel Sprouts myself! They were amazing!!  And of course, I order another passion fruit cosmo. The staff were extremely nice and very pleasant. Even though it was busy both times I visited, they were quick to fill my water glass and see how my meal was and if I needed anything else.  The food came out quickly both times, despite it being busy.

Haven't visited this place in literally 16 years. Back then, it was relatively new to the Century City Mall and it served food that was mostly average, with some dishes godawful and others excellent. My first visit back, the interior has remained the cool, clean, and Asian inspired decor for before with some modifications and the menu seemed to be pretty close to what it used to be with most of what we ordered average but with some, the princess chicken, being excellent. (Thankfully nothing was awful). The staff was fine. Ambiance was good. And the highs of the meal were enough to convince me to return again in the near future.

The ceiling are insanely HIGH!!! There’s a waterfall in the entrance!! Overall the place impressed me as very stylish. My friend and I decided it reminded us of maybe Thailand??? 🤷🏻‍♂️ this place is like an extra trendy PF Chang’s but much better. FOOD? The food is excellent. Honestly very surprised. I ordered the shaking beef and it was very tender, not chewy at all, delicious (loved the bonus dipping sauce), and the portion was large but still elegant. $33. it was one of the more expensive options but worth it in my opinion. Also got the stir fried vegetable noodles $13.5 and they were also delicious and the portion size was large especially considering how high the ceilings were. BONUS TIP There was an hour wait when I went but there was plenty of seat open at the bar so I just did that instead

Ambience - Wow Food experience - Okay’ish Tea - Pretty average We were here for lunch and were taken back by the lovely ambience and amazing decor that really takes you back to 1900s Asia, however the food is not really great and I feel this restaurant has a great scope to improve in that aspect to be truly able to call themselves one of the best if not the best pan asian experience in Los Angeles area. I would go back if more options are added to their menu along with better tasting food.
