RBS&C is a hip new addition to the Rockwell business district. It's south of the Brown Line station so it will be a convenient place for coffee-drinking commuters to grab a coffee on the way to work, though they have limited coffee offerings--drip coffee and tea with some sugar, honey, etc. to sweeten things up.
They have a small number of grocery items, mainly drinks, as well as some pastries and candy. I like that they have some things that would be great on my charcuterie plate--some prosciutto and salamis, as well as hard if fig and sour cherry spread. They have a few packaged cheeses here, too. I really wish this area (Lincoln Square in general, but it would work well in these few blocks of Rockwell too) and thus would be a nice mate!
The bar isn't an actual bar, but there are a couple chairs down at the other end, as well as a high top. There are some chairs and a couch where patrons can lounge in the back too.
The wine they sell is probably far too sophisticated for my palate (read: too dry). Nonetheless, I am excited to tell my friend about this, because she lives a few blocks west of here but also half a block from the brown line, and I also live near the brown line, so by car or using the CTA both of us could be here in 10-20 minutes.
