Rocky's Market Brooklyn Basin

Inside, you'll find the grocery store with lots of beverages from alcohol to teas, cans, bottles, milk, Milk, bread, fresh vegetables and fruit, ice cream, etc. Lots of organic things and specialty items. Owner was very nice, courteous and was strumming his guitar. We love shopping here and also going to the back to order boichik bagels 🥯 to eat outside where it's spacious and protected from rain. There are toilets 🚻 inside. There's rental or maybe purchase for canoe and kayaks. There's a sporting good store too I think. There's also Oaklandish store right in the middle. It's a very cool, hip spot. Love coming here. 💛

Great Market with really lovely staff. Everyone was so warm and friendly. We had the breakfast burrito and the breakfast Sammy. The burrito was one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. We visited during covid and it's perfect for comfortable outdoor dining with a beautiful view. Dog friendly too!

Beware of hidden fees! I had an unpleasant experience at Rocky’s market. I was charged a compulsory 18% service fee for a take out order. This is a hidden fee and frankly I feel cheated. If this were a place with actual sit-down service, it could make a bit more sense, but service fees should still not be compulsory like that except for big groups at a sit-down restaurant. If you’d like to pay your employees more, great. I fully support that. But please include that cost in the menu prices instead of sneaking it in as a hidden fee.

Ordered the smoked brisket sando and almost half of it was fatty gristle. Definitely was expecting a lot better for a $18 sandwich... Bummer.

Great place for lunch and grab a bottle of wine and enjoy it by the ocean. Watch the local hangout

Awesome mini grocery with unbelievable hi quality assortment of fresh produce, breads, cheeses as well as stock pantry items. Perfect for picnic shipping or family dinner. Great /delish cafe in back for dinner on spectacular park/patio on water. The owner is a chef as well as a grocer, so her offering at cafe is gourmet but not snobbish. Fresh. They have the best soft serve ever! And they'll wait on you during shows they sometimes host (music, comedy etc.) The outdoor space behind the place is the reason to get here if you're not local. Amazing outdoors ...patio plus park. Perfect for friends or date night to relax. An unexpected spot but a total gem in a cool location.

Really great location and very nice staff. I drive down from Rockridge to grab a bear and sandwich, watch the boats sail by, and sometimes dance on the promenade. It seems the weather is almost always perfect here. However I have one suggestion, please provide more parking! Parking used to be OK until the construction circle closed for parking. Now I and others may need to walk from Lake Merritt Aquatic Center Parking lot, a 10 to 15 minute walk to get there. Rocky's probably loses a lot of business from lack of easier access. Still, even though I am old I will try to make the walk because the place is worth it, definitely 5 star.
