"Rodeo Goat Ice House just expanded its burgers and beer to Plano for its fourth Texas location. The concept, which began in Fort Worth in 2012 from restaurateurs Shannon Wynne, Keith Schlabs, and Larry Richardson, is known for grass-fed beef burgers with inventive toppings..." - Alaena Hostetter

Rodeo Goat has a lot of character. The decor is super fun and I love all the pictures they have on the walls. The food was pretty good. I loved the steaming pile and I think I made a mistake not getting a bun on my burger but it was still good. Had a fun Gin drink that was super tasty. Food came out quickly. The server did a nice job. Overall good experience. I’d go back for sure but get a bun on my burger next time.

This place has one of the best burgers in Dallas! We visited for the first time on a random Wednesday night when we were craving a good burger and came across the restaurant on Google Maps. For a Wednesday, it was surprisingly packed. I ordered the Bodacious Burger, and my husband chose one from the "Battle of the Burgers" from the board. I love that they not only offer a wide selection of burgers on the menu but also have these battle burgers which I believe change every month. That night, our waitress told us that Wednesdays they have half-price cheese fries all day for dine-in customers. So we decided to try them out and OMG… YUM! What we didn’t realize was how huge the portion would be—you could easily share it with three or four people. The restaurant has a classic burger joint ambiance, with high tables and chairs inside. Outside, there’s a spacious patio with plenty of seating, and the best part is you can bring your dog! Overall, I loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and, most importantly, the food. YUM!

I had the Avocado Caesar salad at Rodeo Goat, and it was great! The chopped romaine, fresh half avocado, parmesan, Castelvetrano olives, fried capers, Caesar dressing, and pumpernickel croutons made for a delightful combination. The ingredients were fresh and worked together perfectly. At $11.99, it’s reasonably priced for the quality. Overall, a good salad that I really enjoyed! Would definitely recommend it to salad lovers!

My wife and I decided to drop in to Rodeo Goat for a quick bite because we were in the area (Floor and Decor, if you're curious). From the outside , the place is pretty unassuming - it could be a bar or a convenience store, really. But like all hidden gems, the unimpressive exterior is part of the charm. Inside, there's a cozy bar with plenty of seating. Behind the building there's an excellent outdoor patio area that's casual, relaxed, and inviting. It backs up to a creek which gives you the feeling of being far away from everything, in a good way. The real draw is the outstanding quality of the hamburgers. They're next level. Truly. I tried the Honey Bacon Blue burger, which was featured on their battle of the burgers. Honeyed bacon, kale, blue cheese. It was like a flavor explosion! I can't recall which burger my wife ordered, but it was awesome too. We ordered fries, which come separate, and they're huge, and they're great. They took a few minutes longer than the burgers, and by way of apology our waiter brought us some sweet potato fries too. My wife commented that she has never liked sweet potato fries before, but she really liked these. Expect to spend about $15 on burgers, another $4 on fries, plus drinks if you want 'em. For the quality, it's a great value. Service was great, too. Overall, very happy. I think we'll be back soon!

Google
The service here was really great. We had a huge group and he handled it like a champ. The food was creative, although not entirely wow-worthy. The price felt inflated for what you got. I think I would come back, but I would want a bit more bang for the buck.

Google
Loved it! Open right at 11am on Sunday! This was my first visit of many to come. Our server, Natalie, was very pleasant and took care of us the entire time we were here. I had to try the Royale with cheese and so glad I did! 🙌 What a great burger! I love the inside too! Great place to bring the family for some grub. See ya next time!

Google
It's amazingly good 😍😍 did my BYO burger with whiskey cheddar, grilled jalapeno, caramelized onion, bibb lettuce, smoked jalapeno mayo, and it's one of the best burgers I had!!! The staff was super friendly too, definitely made me feel very welcomed.

Google
The burgers were flavorful and of high quality. The fries we received were full of bits and pieces, but tasted good. The salad was swimming in dressing unfortunately. The server was attentive to keeping our drinks full. The atmosphere and vibe was the best part of our experience. This is a suitable place to gather with friends for drinks and food. There are large outdoor and indoor seating options. Long communal tables are the primary option. You'll seat yourself. We will definitely return in the future.

Yelp
Ate at this place during my short visit to the States from the UK. Just have to say that the food was fantastic, in particular the Hot Bastard burger!!! Special shoutout to our server Nyssa who was nothing short of wonderful in meeting our needs. Extremely polite with a perfect amount of 'Southern Charm' she made our time at Rodeo Goat an absolute pleasure. Can't wait to be back in Dallas and come back and try some more items on the menu and hopefully bump into Nyssa once again!

Yelp
FOOD & DRINKS Steaming Pile - this is jalapeño cheddar tater tots topped with more cheddar, chive, goat cheese, bacon, and a sunny side up egg. I think the cheese taste is a little bit overpowering, so the dish is a little bit on the salty side. However, the thoughts are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which is good. The egg was cooked well and flavors were pretty good besides the saltiness. Rosebud - this is a drink with deep Eddy, cranberry vodka, pome juice, and rosé float. I personally like this drink because it is more on the fruity/sweet side. The vodka isn't too overpowering either. VIBES They let you choose your seating. They have both booth and table seating as well as high stool seating. They also have seating outside, which looks really nice if the weather is good. A pretty casual place with lots of families and friends. SERVICE Service was all right. And the times that we did talk to her server she's very nice and friendly, but they didn't really check in on us too much, which made it harder to order drinks later on during the meal.

Yelp
Candice's Milkshakes Are the Real Reason to Visit Rodeo Goat!! If you haven't tried Candice's milkshakes at Rodeo Goat Plano, stop what you're doing and get over there ASAP. These shakes are nothing short of legendary. They're thick, creamy, and so rich, they might as well come with a side of applause. But the real magic? Candice. She brings a whole new level of charm and energy to the milkshake experience that makes every sip feel like a celebration. Some people come for the burgers, but I come for Candice's creamy milkshakes--because let's be honest, they might just be the best part of the meal. Whether you're in the mood for classic chocolate or feeling adventurous with something like salted caramel, Candice's milkshakes are guaranteed to turn your day around. No matter how busy the place gets, she serves them up with a smile and a side of hospitality that makes you want to come back for more.

Yelp
This is my third location for Rodeo Goat. Prior, I have been to their Dallas and Fort Worth locations. The Plano location may just be my favorite one. Location is near a beautiful bridge and their outdoor patio area is perfect. Me and a friend met up for lunch and our food and vibes were awesome. I ordered a Bloody Mary and once again they were out of this world. I also orderd the chicken Cesar salad and goat chips. Both hit the spot. The goat chips were seasoned perfectly. I didn't get pictures of either because I was too busy chowing down. My friend ordered their impossible burger along with their fries. She mentioned they were both great as well. Our server was very sweet and accommodating. Thank you Rodeo Goat for another great afternoon!

Marianne C.

Yelp
This was my first time at this Rodeo Goat location, but my third visit overall, and it didn't disappoint! We started with the Texas Caviar, a flavorful and refreshing appetizer that paired perfectly with a Local Buzz a great beer choice if you're into crisp, light brews. For the main course, we shared the Bodacious Burger with a side of fries. The burger was juicy and messed to eat but packed with bold flavors, and lived up to its name. The fries were crispy and golden, making them an excellent complement to the meal. Consistently solid food and a relaxed, fun atmosphere!

Guy H.

Yelp
I've lost count but this is probably my 5th visit to this Rodeo Goat. It only reinforced my praise for this Burger Temple. From quick service the moment you sit down,to walking out the door, this seems to always be an enjoyable experience. Go!

Rigo M.

Yelp
The battle of the burgers was MissOooMami vs The Crown Jewel. I went with MissOooMami and let me tell you it hit the spot with a side of hand punch fries. Good fast service and the waiter made sure to keep my drink full. I have always been a fan of the atmosphere at Rodeo Goat it is great for everyone in the family with outdoor seating for those nice weather

Tanya M.

Yelp
Amazing food as always, I had the burger with blue cheese, and it was unusual as it also had spinach on it. The burgers just melt in your mouth and the bun is perfection. Also had some loaded fries and they are delicious. They were kid friendly as my grand kids one in a booster and the other was in a stroller. Service with a smile

Sara H.

Yelp
Super delicious burgers! I have been a handful of times recently and always get the DCC burger (basically a regular cheeseburger) and it's always great. Their fries and sweet potato fries are great as well, along with their ranch and chipotle ranch (I think that's what it is).

Bruce K.

Yelp
It's almost not fair to Rodeo Goat that I am doing keto because this burger in a bowl doesn't do justice to the whole idea of top end hamburgers. This was a masterpiece but it's like asking Monet to paint without using blue. The "Brad Sham" included bacon and tomato and jalapenos and fried onion and jalapeno pickled chutney and it was absolutely amazing. About as keto-friendly as you can get, since I opted to not have fries either. Delicious and flavorful and just a little messy. Maybe next time, I'll drop off the keto wagon and have it properly. Yelp
Rodeo Goat is a must-visit spot if you're a burger lover, and it never disappoints. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, making it a great place to grab a bite with friends or family. I started with the loaded cheese fries, and they were incredible! The fries were perfectly crispy, smothered in a rich cheese sauce, topped with bacon, jalapeños, and scallions--every bite was a flavor explosion. They were the perfect appetizer to kick off the meal. For my main course, I went with the H.L. Hunt Burger, and wow! This burger is packed with unique flavors. The juicy beef patty, paired with caramelized onions and crispy bacon, was already amazing, but what really took it over the top was the unexpected blackberry compote. The sweetness of the compote balanced the savory, smoky bacon and rich beef perfectly. It added this sweet, tangy twist that brought all the flavors together in the most delicious way. It's easily one of the most memorable burgers I've had in a long time. Rodeo Goat also has a great drink selection and attentive service, which makes the experience even better. If you're in the area and craving a burger, do yourself a favor and stop by Rodeo Goat--you won't regret it!

Catrina L.

Yelp
Love this spot! Ambiance is super divey and laid back. Customer service is warm. The food is delicious! Had the chaca oaxaca and it was to die for! Then my hubby got the burger no.7 and he really enjoyed it as well, $3 moontang Mondays are the best! It's not shy with alcohol and it's so delicious! Awesome awesome burger spot!

Jeff M.

Yelp
The most delicious burger I've had in a while! I had the blue burger with blue cheese and onions, and the fries were amazing with a dusting of a lime and other flavors! We also went because every burger they sold a dollar went to the local public radio channel. We will be back because we saw other burgers to try out. The prices were very reasonable. They have outside setting as well. Don't wait to be seated, just go in a pick a spot.

Yelp
Well? All I can say is this RG is more consistently bad than good. Was with a party of 4, we all ordered margaritas and burgers. First off we asked our server Todd about the mushroom & bodacious burgers, which were no longer on the menu and he said they were removed due to be unpopular. Where Todd was not very attentive , he was down right rude when he finally checked back on our food delivery. I informed him my blue goat burger was cooked well-done instead of medium-rare. He shrugged his shoulders and said sorry. WOW, Not offering to have my burger re-cooked?!!! Our FF's were cold and we never had our waters refilled. Horrible Service! When a customer tells you they are not happy with the quality of the food, it should be recooked or taken off the bill. Shame, Shame, Shame! P.S. to the Dude that PM me with a snarky comment that I probably didn't eat at the restaurant, because my review was negative...here's my receipt. And I also checked in on Yelp. And since I've been in the Hospitality business, I usually tip 25%, if I get friendly, attentive service.

Trina W.

Yelp
They have vegan options and they're great! The service was fast and friendly. I ordered take out this time but kinda wished I had eaten there. The goat theme is super cute and the dining area was festive. I ordered the a vegan burger with green chilis and it was phenomenal. It came with a generous portion of fries. I was very pleased with everything about this spot.

John T.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere here, the games and Christmas stuff is so fun. The service takes a little but it's great. The food is always wonderful too

Ken D.

Yelp
Great burger and service, plenty of choices on the menu. We will be back, ph yea cold beer also.

Lewis B.

Yelp
The place was extremely crowded which is a good sign. The service was very slow and we experienced a good 10 minutes to get the attention of the wait/order staff. The ambiance was non existent. The food came later and was good.

Sarah N.

Yelp
It's been about 5-6 years since I've been here, and my coworkers and I went for lunch today! It was just as good as I remember, maybe even better! I really love that they have such a variety of burger options, and our waiter even had a recommendation for us. I ended up getting the Sugar Burger with goat cheese (his recommendation), and it was suuuuper good. The patty was especially cooked perfectly. It was actually medium (and not charred to oblivion). We also got the cheese fries (no surprise) and the steaming pile with literally the yolkiest yolk I've ever seen. The service was fast, and we all had a great time. Can't wait to come back!

Shirley R.

Yelp
Rodeo Goat serves amazing burgers! I sampled their classic burger, bodacious burger, nanny goat, and bad hombre, and out of these, the bodacious burger has become my favorite so far. I haven't tried everything yet, and I'm really looking forward to my next visit.

Vic D.

Yelp
We generally come here when we are in the mood for a solid burger. The prices are a bit high, but the portions make up for it, for the most part. The ambiance is full, and service is good; servers have always been attentive and pleasant. Love their rotating menu, as it gives you something different each time you come in.

Kimberly R.

Yelp
I decided to try out Rodeo Goat for the first time after moving all day and it was the best decision I made all day. It was nice outside so I sat at on the patio which is spacious and clean. I had the Sugar Burger as a turkey burger and it was so flavorful! The sweet potato fries on the side were basic and good and they have a good amount of beers on tap. I will definitely be back!

Jerrica C.

Yelp
3-23-24 It was super late and we were running out of options to eat and whipped into this empty parking lot, hoping for the best. Let me just say, I am not a burger girl but ordered The Dad Bod, naked (without bread). It has fresh arugula, candied jalapeño and FRIED Mac and cheese. Oh. My. Sweet. Baby. Jesus. It was fantastic. We also ordered loaded French fries which were hand cut, the BEST! Our waitress, gosh I wished I remembered her name, tall, young, worked closing in the back, took such good care of us. I was very impressed with this establishment. I'm sad we don't have one on the MS Gulf Coast. The place was very clean and well kept.

Yelp
Big restaurant lots of seating great burgers Atmosphere: Cool sporty vibe mixed with hipster. Outside patio is awesome when the weather is nice. Food: STEAMING PILE jalapeño-cheddar tater tots topped with cheddar, chive goat cheese, bacon & a fried egg (sunny-side-up) with a dash of truffle oil / $8.99 Amazing appetizers crunchy tots and bacon the egg elevates this up its a bit on the small side, really for one person but a must get! TOSTADA CHIPS & QUESO homemade and topped with taco meat, guacamole & pico de gallo / $9.49 Great queso flavor and chips were very good, this is a great appetizer to share! Burgers: Every month they have two unique burgers going head to head. $13.99 Peanut Butter Jelly Time Burger Special - Beef, pepper jack cheese, bacon, Blackberry Compote, Fried Plantains and peanut butter. This was just ok for us, i think they forgot the blackberry compote as it was overly peanut butter heavy. This one was a pass for us. SUGAR BURGER candied bacon, grilled peaches, caramelized onions, arugula, jalapeño jam $12.49 DAMN!! this burger was AMAZING, the peaches were fresh and delicious. Mixed in with amazing bacon and the jalapeno jam put it over the top. TOP TIER. Drinks: Plenty of beer choices on tap and in bottles, you can find anything you need here. Price: Right in the sweet spot for a "craft" burger around 13-15 each. The ingredients really elevate the burgers but the price can be steep adding drinks and sides. Parking: big street parking and lot across the street Service: Waiter was good but the place seems understaffed considering the amount of people. We waited about 15 min to order our drinks after being sat at the patio. Food came out in decent time though. A great unique burger spot in Dallas

Yelp
My family love Rodeo Goat. We are regulars at the Casa Linda and Rockwall location. We found the new Plano place so we tried. Great place, bad service! We came in Sunday. Guy server with pearl necklace said the order would take so he was suggesting to appetizers/ sides, never served us water! I ordered the goat chips. He bought us a bowl of crumb chips!!! Order really took long and he offered us to order drinks. We ordered mimosa. I was already observing him. He was kinda choosing his customers according to his whim. Mimosa took forever!!! Plano location has potencial but service has to be better!!!

Phronsie D.

Yelp
Service is great. Burgers fabulous. Mixed drinks skimpy. Sides pathetic. About a two weeks ago we got burgers and fries to go. Got home and the burgers were piping hot but the fries were cold. And WAY over done. That's not the worst part though- the fries were not fries...they were little shards of crunchy potato strings. Remember the crispy shoestring potatoes that came in a can? RG's "hand punched" fries were harder than those canned things. They seemed to be the leftovers from a days worth of fry making. They were HARD. Contacted them through their web site and got no response. Nothing. Zip. Nada. It cost $8 for two orders of inedible fries and that's ridiculous. Went back tonight and got okay fries (tasted kind of like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for a while) but the Goat Chips we ordered should have been served with spoons. There were a few larger chips but the rest was crumbs. The waitress just said, "At the end of the day, that's what they serve". Their menu says to tell them if something is wrong, but it's pretty obvious it's just virtue signaling and they don't really care to make it right. We were going to meet friends there for lunch tomorrow, but have now changed venues. Sad, because the burgers are crazy good.

Sandie S.

Yelp
We got the hot bastard, nanny goat & kids sliders. There fries are good, but cheese fries need a saucy cheese which would help them be great. I wish the onion strings were a regular side like fries as they are very good but if you tried to order them as a side you only get a handful. The kids burger can be ordered as just 1 slider FYI. We wish they had mushrooms as our kiddo loves them. Otherwise we've had decent service each time. Foods great.

Linda S.

Yelp
What a disappointment! The meat was dry and overcooked while the bun was soggy. And the onion rings were undercooked. The cost was overpriced. I must add the service was good, the food was horrible. I won't be going back.

Coleen R.

Yelp
Love that they have vegan options! My friends are not vegan and we come here and we are all happy! The staff is nice and accommodating and gave some great suggestions! The place is casual and clean and great for gatherings!

Leigh U.

Yelp
Great cozy atmosphere. Inside is wide open with multiple TVs which is great to watch sports. Tried the Moontag frozen drink- moonshine and Tang. It was amazing- tastes like frozen orange juice with a kick. Our server was awesome. Will come here again!

Stacey C.

Yelp
Dirty! We have tried this place several times. I have gotten food poisoning once and a friend found her back in the food the second time. The location is nice and the service is good.

Scottie N.

Yelp
The atmosphere just feels like you are in Texas. Casual ambiance with fabulous service and great food. We were a party of 6 and ate all kinds of burgers and everyone raved about them. I had the brisket chili and enjoyed every bite. Just yummy. There is a large selection of alcoholic beverages as well as the standard soda selection. I recommend giving this place a try. Oh and the price seems reasonable.

Kenny H.

Yelp
Where to begin, RG is proving itself to be perhaps the APEX burger experience in Texas. We've eaten at two locations now with the other being Fort Worth. The Chill-laxed atmosphere cements itself in both locations, and lets customers know that they are in for a good time. Now, to the food and service! Our waitress was so nice and courteous, she asked if we needed anything, checked on our food, and made herself available frequently! We ordered fries, chips and queso, the Bodacious, Hot bastard, and a kid's grilled cheese meal. The food was all warm, with the cheese being nicely melted without wilting the vegetables. The chipotle Mayo will wake up any burger, and makes for an excellent side chick to ketchup when it comes to dipping your fries! Sorry T.Root, Rodeo is my new GOAT for when it comes to having an amazing burger experience.

Mike M.

Yelp
I love the different burgers they have and I have tried quite a few of them all have been delicious. The fries are good including the sweet potato fries. You get plenty of food, I always leave there stuffed. They have a great Staff.

Carlton C.

Yelp
I've been twice and I'm just not a fan. Admittedly though, single thick patty burgers are not my preference. Besides that, I find RG's but to be consistently over cooked and not at all memorable. One would think they would be amazing considering it's what they do and the menu has a variety of choices with different toppings but for me none are executed well and simply don't inspire. There a Re a lot of good burgers in the Dallas metro, I suggest going elsewhere.

Priscilla A.

Yelp
There are two locations, we went to the dallas one. My fiancé & I decided to stop by after church, so we were here during brunch hours. It wasn't too busy & there was plenty of seating. This place def gives a family oriented vibe, but also great for friends or a causal date. Our waiter was really cool and helpful with picking our burgers. My fiancé got the Bad hombre with a fried egg. It was really flavorful & not too overpowering. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of my burger, it was simpler but also really good! Not pictured are milkshakes we ordered. I got the cookies and cream & he ordered thin mint. Once again I have no complaints, my milk shake actually had huge chunks of cookies in it & it was just a delight. I would totally come back here again!

Danielle S.

Yelp
The burgers here all seem to have something special and none disappointed! The sugar burger was recommended by the server and while I was nervous decided to go for it and loved the subtle sweet heat with every bite. The fries are definitely big enough to share between two adults. The dueling burgers seem like a fun way to keep their menu constantly changing so I may have to try one next time! The server was wonderful and even took a picture of our group before leaving. He also checked on us an appropriate amount of times throughout the meal.

Doug C.

Yelp
Good to be back. Didn't write a review when here years ago. In the meantime I have been many times to location in Frisco and Rowlett. All excellent. We came just before the crowd arrived at 12:30pm for Sunday lunch. Inside was full up and many in nice weather seating outside. Great suggestion by waitress to provide ranch salad dressing to dunk sweet potato fries in it. Yummy.

Goodness I.

Yelp
Great food, great service! Music was pretty loud, so it was hard to talk inside. Food was really good and took a good amount of time to come out. Should be back

Aprille S.

Yelp
We love Rodeo Goat! The first one we tried was the one in Dallas when our oldest daughter was having surgery over at Scottish Rite, our favorite one is the Plano location, we love to go there with our fur kids as they are very dog friendly. The burgers are delicious as well. Everyone is always so nice and helpful and we always get excellent service. I always like to try out their battle of the burger!

Elizabeth E.

Yelp
Although pricey always a good burger located North of Stonebriar Mall Nice restaurant for kid friendly

Lily H.

Yelp
My experience at Rodeo Goat has always been great. The servers and staff are really nice and helpful. The environment is casual and family friendly. I have tried a couple of different burgers and haven't decided which one I like the best, but I really did like the bad hombre this visit. I am a fan of spicy so I really enjoyed the habanero sauce mixed with the mango pico and cheese. Their shakes are really yummy... my go to is the salted pretzel shake. Pairs great with all the savory flavors from your entree!

Gayla B.

Yelp
Great burger!!! Nice location. Huge variety of burgers to choose from on the menu service was fast.

Otis S.

Yelp
My favorite is the bodacious burger. Get it every time I go. Maybe one day I'll try something else but right now that's my go to burger

La'Tice L.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday dinner with my husband. Our server was so sweet, she explained everything to us since it was our first time. I love that they offer gluten free buns and impossible patties for their burgers. I had the "Hatch Me If You Can". It was spicy so beware but it was full of flavor. We ordered the loaded fries which were good and the ranch tasted home made. They offer a free treat for your birthday so make sure to say something.

Faith L.

Yelp
We found ourselves in Plano and hungry, and decided on Rodeo Goat. We will ABSOLUTELY be back - the burgers were juicy and tasty, and the fries were outstanding. Their house-made ranch dressing is especially terrific.

Susie M.

Yelp
This is the best burger around. Always cooked perfect, they have good specials and the service is always top notch!! We had a young lady named Taylor and she was excellent!!

Tori G.

Yelp
This place was really good, took my family here after a day of moving and the cheese fries and drinks hit the spot. Fun little hang out spot with games, will definitely go again!
