"This casual restaurant serves Roman-style and thin-crust pies, making this a distinctly unique option among Danville’s pizza options. There are classics, such as a margherita, but also lesser-known favorites like the pizza melanzana, which features roasted eggplant, mozzarella, baby arugula, and feta cheese. Those who like greens with their ‘za have options, including a caprese salad, caesar, and the Romana, which comes with baby arugula, walnuts, pear, roasted beets, and Parmesan cheese." - Dianne de Guzman

Google
So amazed with the flavor of Romana salad, Mediterranean salad, Alfredo pasta, chicken pasta and Shirley Temple drinks. Thanks Romana Pizzeria, keep surprising us :)

Google
The food is really good if it's fresh. And not bad otherwise. But they're brand new and don't have a lot of business so they keep the food hot for a while. It's a buy slice place. I expect as soon as they get a little bit busier they will have fresher food. They were nice enough and didn't bother me and they're well meaning they're planning on having salsa dancing there soon. So I would say give this place a try and as they get busier it will get better

Google
First time here based on the 4.7 star reviews, I was excited to try the Nonas pizza. The service was great, location is ideal, they even had 2 beers on draft. Honestly the regular pizzas seem great based on past reviews, with that said the Nonas pizza needs to come off the menu, that's a liability for you all and disrespectful to all grandma's everywhere. The pizza was so poor it brought down the rest of the items sown to 1 star. Best of luck cuz the employees there seem cool.

Google
very well priced. i really enjoyed eating here and i celebrated my bday here a few months ago! the pasta and pizza are both very heavy meals. my favorite thing i got was meatballs! soooo good.

Google
Solid pie - crisp undercarriage, even amount of toppings/cheese. It’s nice inside and comfortable. Great place to watch ‘the’ game. Would like them to heat the pizza by the slice up a bit more before serving. Def recommend.

Google
Excellent Pizza and great atmosphere! Very clean restaurant! I ordered the pepperoni, Sausage and Mushroom Pizza and was not disappointed! Thin Crust was on point and what I usually prefer. The owner was even nice enough to throw in a few garlic twists for free. Will definitely be back- much appreciated!

Google
Guys, I just bought a whole nana pie to try a single fresh slice at noon on Sunday. It was cold and chewy to pain. It was also difficult to order. I can tell the flavor is there, but I spent fifty bucks as a "local favor" and am beyond disappointed. I also bought a calzone to support the restaurant and compare presentations. It was quite a bit better, but why is there only one person operating the entire operation after all the work to remodel the restaurant. That location requires good customer service. You owe me a fresh pizza, please Sorry for the bad news. It was dead inside. It's not like there's an excuse.

Yelp
Had our daughter's Birthday party here on a Sunday Night. Very helpful staff took care of 15 special-abled young adults. Salad and Pizza hit the spot and the staff knew just what we needed to make the evening special and easy. Perfect size for our group and the ambiance was perfect for a festive party. Staff was super tolerant of our excited guests and made everyone feel special.

Yelp
Tonight, we ordered lasagna and a caesar salad. The caesar salad was fresh and delicious. The rosemary focaccia croutons were so good & fresh as was the caesar dressing. Their lasagna is hands down the best lasagna i've ever had outside of my Italian ex-boyfriend's mom's homemade lasagna. Make sure you order a side of meatballs. It goes perfectly with the lasagna... The ingredients are so fresh. And the lasagna is culinary perfection. I can't wait to try all of the other pastas, appetizers and pizzas. The owner, Ray is such a nice person too. He really takes pride in what he makes for his customers. And he appreciates his customers... Fun fact: The pizza by slices are replaced every 3 hrs, so you can be sure the pizza is always fresh... Also, they have all the east coast condiment necessities on their tables: salt, pepper, garlic, chili flakes, cholula, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc... (most pizza places only have salt, pepper, chili flakes) I am so happy to have Romana's in Danville. I love supporting them because their taste and quality goes beyond other Danville pizzeria's. Fresh, authentic, delicious... Thank you, Ray... Keep up the good work :)

Yelp
We got DoorDash delivery pizza from Romana and were pretty disappointed. They were over 30 minutes late from the original estimate (we made the order before they opened for dinner). Plus, we got an incorrect pizza. When we contacted Doordash, we got about $10 off a $170 order. The cost ended up being about $160 total for 3 pizzas and a salad.

Yelp
We've ordered from Romana many times and I just realized I never wrote a review! We just ordered a large all meat, lasagna and cheesecake for delivery through their app and everything came quick, fresh and still piping hot! My daughter and I LOVE their lasagna and order it every single time. The tomato sauce is the right about of salt, sweet and acidic.. just perfection! We've tried the mushroom pizza and cheese in the past which are both winners but this meat one was also sooo good! Packed with meat, not overly salty and the perfect chewy yet crispy thin crust! I really hope they're here to stay because it's our family favorite pizzeria in Danville!

Larry M.

Yelp
Ordered via GrubHub, create your own pizza and a salad, pizza delivered with NO SALAMI!! Called and asked and he said 'It's GrubHubs fault, they're supposed to chsrge extra for toppings, but they didn't- I gave you everything but missed the salami'. Okay, nowhere does it say '$2 per topping' so, who approved the page? Very disappointed, s good pizza otherwise but NO MEAT!!

Yelp
We've eaten here many times, so our review is long overdue! We've enjoyed pizza slices, salads, milkshakes, wings and pasta dishes. Our food has been prepared quickly and always delicious! The service is attentive, friendly & happy to answer questions or make suggestions. Romana's is very convenient for a quick bite, a glass of wine or beer, take out or for large orders/events. For a large team event recently, we ordered several varieties of their largest pizzas with garlic knots. It's not easy to please a large group, but everyone LOVED the food! Since we ordered extras, completely expected leftovers but the team couldn't resist eating every last piece of pizza & garlic knot. I was shocked. Our favorite is their margarita pizza & mozzarella sticks. Noticed they added several new additions to the menu. Not long along, the owner installed new comfy booth seating and there's small high top bar with stools. It's a nice place with multiple large TV's & always seem to have football or other sport events on. We enjoy it for these reasons and because it's not as crazy and annoying other Danville spots. I'll add images to this review when we visit next, but stop in- think you'll enjoy it.

Yelp
2.5 stars. Came here looking for some good Roman pizza and it left us thinking it definitely could have been better. PARKING - they have a few spaces behind their store but they are kind of hard to park in. There's also street parking which may not be too hard to find. ATMOSPHERE - inside has a lot of TVs, good for watching games and some tables around the edge as well as a larger table in the middle. It was good for us since we had 4 adults and 2 kids and lots of stuff. They had high chairs. The inside was pretty inviting, casual and no complaints. FOOD - we called ahead to order a fresh pie since we didn't want to wait too long with kids. They had it ready right as we got there so I would recommend this! They say call about 15-30 minutes before you want it. DELIZIA PIZZA - not bad, I preferred this over the chicken pizza below. The pepperoni was a little spicy (I'm weak) but overall the flavor was decent. The cheese is the kind that just falls off with all the toppings when you try to eat it though, which was annoying. The other bad thing was the crust was soggy. The outer crust when you get to the end was pretty crispy/good but the rest was soggy. CHICKEN GENOVESE PIZZA - unfortunately the chicken was really tough and rubbery, which kind of ruined the pizza. The pesto sauce was also barely detectable so not that good. We reheated it the next day and it was a little better because of the texture but still the chicken was tough. Overall, definitely didn't taste like Roman pizza and not even good pizza.

Yelp
PREMIUM, QUALITY INGREDIENTS!! ORGANIC SAUCES and ORGANIC CHEESES!!! We walked into the restaurant for the first time as a family today. We love the decor and how clean it is. We arrived early so it wasn't very busy yet. This lull was good for us to ask a lot of questions to the owner, Ray. He helped us to choose the right dishes for our family. We ordered a Caesar salad and a half margarita and half lasagna pizza. The kids REALLY loved the Cesar salad which I thought was funny because we eat Caesar salad a few times a month. For the pizzas, margarita was the family favorite, but my favorite was the lasagna pizza. I loved the slices of ground beef that were super thin and flavorful. They bake the meatloaf first, and then slice it thinly for the lasagna pizza. Yum!! After our meal, the owner spoke to us and told us how the sauces and cheeses were organic and very light so that you won't walk away with a heavy feeling - you will filled satiated and ready for the rest of your day. We are excited to try the pastas next time!!

Yelp
Really like their pizza. Every time I move to a new place I look for NY/NJ style pizza and this place comes really really close. Also love the convenience of being able to get a slice.

Yelp
An AMAZING slice of pizza! I've been on the hunt in the tri-valley area for the best pizza for more than a decade. Many contenders, but Romana Pizzeria finally takes the prize. A friendly greeting on the phone when we placed our order and a warm welcome as I came in the door, customer satisfaction is definitely a priority. My first time here and he threw in 6 free garlic knots with marinara. I ate 3 in the car on the way home and couldn't wait to try the cheese pizza I ordered. A perfect balance of thin pizza dough, a nice layer of zesty tomato sauce, and premium cheese with so much flavor. The crispy crust on the bottom provides a great crunch with each bite. This is my new go-to spot for pizza. They offer whole pies or by the slice and a wide variety of beers, wines, and sodas. A great place for an evening meal. Very clean inside with a seating out front to people watch on the sidewalk.

Kris D.

Yelp
I came around 8pm ish on a Saturday. First the positives, the staff was very friendly and my order was ready when I got there. I was able to eat my food I ordered online at the restaurant, they plated it for me and everything. The restaurant is very nice inside and has a lot of seating outside, a really nice place. I ordered a slice of their artisan and pizza and when I got there it definitely looked like the slices have been sitting there for a few hours. It's your typical pizza place where they reheat it in the oven but I don't think there was saving this slice. It just did not taste good at all. The chicken Caesar was a generous amount but I found the chicken to be dry and overcooked and the croutons were soft and no crunch. It didn't feel like the pizza was made with love. I'm not sure if I'll be going back, I did see they have pastas so maybe but not sure yet. Maybe I came on a bad evening.

Matthew H.

Yelp
Romana Pizza truly impressed me with their delectable offerings. The pesto chicken pizza, with its perfect blend of pesto and garlic, left me craving more. The meat lovers pizza was equally delightful, boasting a generous array of savory toppings. Both pizzas were served on thin, crispy crusts that added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The flavors were exquisite, and the textures were spot-on. Romana Pizza is definitely a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts seeking quality and taste in every bite.

Yelp
This was my first time, for what I ordered it was ok. I ordered their lunch special, which is 1 slice, side salad (I got the Cesar) and a drink (no soda fountain, just canned drinks and bottled water) l got the special pizza (3 Stars) they had on display, turns out to be pepperoni, mushroom and garlic (I really couldn't understand the lady when I asked "what kind is that?" No idea it has roasted garlic) The pizza was ok, nothing special. The crust was dry, maybe sat too long and too thin to sit out. There are many better pizza options in town, but if your looking for just a slice, this can do. The high school is just down the block so it's perfect for them. I'm not sure if I'd come back to try a whole made to order pizza, could be better than the slice pizza, but then again other restaurants in town that offer better ingredients and wood fired. The Cesar was good (3 Stars) The romaine lettuce was fresh. The croutons are your standard grocery store variety, nothing special. They do put a lot of Parmesan cheese on, that was nice. There was decent amount of dressing, but not much anchovy or lemon flavor, not homemade, just your basic bottled dressing. I also ordered a slice of pepperoni. It was not much better than the first one The crust was a little better, but not by much. That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

Yelp
New pizza place in Downtown Danville, batter-up! What used to be a juice bar is now a lovely and modern pizzeria. 6 different slices of pizza and garlic knots, or you can order off the menu board. We did a large pizza, and I had to try one of the sicilian square slices. Frankly, I didn't like the presentation of the slices. Didn't look the freshest, and makes sense, they're new and slowly building up the business which will help with the turnover. Despite, I ordered one Sicilian slice, and an Arugula salad, plus a large romana-style pizza. In a short time, all was brought out to us, and looked great. I have comments for each, but what applies to all is that they use the finest ingredients for the salad and pizzas. * Margherita Slice (Sicilian-style) [$5, 4.0 stars] -- great tasting crust, but way too crispy. Of course, that gave it a nice and surprising crunch. * Arugula Salad [$10, 4.5 stars] -- wonderful salad topped with fresh halved walnuts. Very thinly dressed. I liked, gf needed a side of dressing. * Delizia Della Casa Pizza (Romana-style) 16" Large [$32.99, 4.5 stars] -- everything applies to this one: great flavorful crust, love the sauce, cheese, and toppings of the utmost quality. Still, a little too crispy for me, but all in all, it was very very good. Ray, the owner, is the nicest guy. I wish him all the best and much success.

Yelp
We tried this place on Monday. Called in ahead of time and pizza was not ready. They seemed confused by our order and it didn't appear that they had even started them. We ordered one pizza that was supposed to have feta on it and there was zero. Not a speck. If they were out of feta they could have, and could have mentioned it. But the worst part is the pizza they made was too large for the box so they just folded it over and shut the lid. Wow

Mitchell V.

Yelp
One of the best pizzas in Danville . Crispy and good. Prices are reasonable. Interior and dive in area is nice.

Miranda T.

Yelp
Cute new pizza spot in downtown Danville. Everything looks brand new from top to bottom. Ambiance: I love the wood paneling on the side wall and ceiling. There's a long marble table in the middle of the restaurant, high bar seating by the window, and small tables with outlets on the wall which was super convenient because I was able to work/charge my laptop while eating. There's also a front patio with outdoor seating and string lights. Overall, the decor was cute and well thought out. Service: Friendly and fast. You order and pay first, then they bring the food out to you. There's a self serve water station. Food: Good variety of salads, pizzas, and pasta. I ordered a few slices of pizza and their chicken Cesar salad. Everything was great. (They also do catering orders). Parking: Street parking (2 hour parking) Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot. Nice place to hang out and get work done as well.

Debbie F.

Yelp
Amazing new place for pizza in Danville! We tried the deep dish square and it was delicious! We then tried the thin crush margarita pizza and it might be the best I've ever had and we eat a lot of pizza! Nice that you can get pizza by the slice here. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Shannon L.

Yelp
We went to Romana Pizzeria last night. We ordered the garlic knots, East coast thin crust with pepperoni and sausage, 2 slices of Nona's pie, and 2 milkshakes. The garlic knots came out hot and were very tasty. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was piping hot and was really good! The slices of Nona's pie were good, but I bet they would have been even better if they were made to order. My kids liked the milkshakes. We'll definitely return someday!

Sam S.

Yelp
I was searching for a place nearby that offered pizza by the slice and discovered Romana Pizzeria, which advertised just that. We noticed their classic cheese pizza displayed behind the counter window, so we decided to get a couple of slices. The pizza was reheated, and came out hot with a crispy undercarriage and a great sauce to cheese ratio. The service was excellent, and we were very satisfied with our slices.

Bob D.

Yelp
Newly opened place with great potential! You order at the Counter and service was good! The ambiance is perfect for families! The Romana Salad with Baby Arugula was very fresh. We had a Small Thin Crust Margherita Pizza with add on of mushrooms. It had a crispy crust, which we really liked, and excellent flavor! Should get better when they have Beer & Wine! Yes, we would come back!

Yelp
We had terrible experience here. We crossed the street because Primos was loud and crowded and this place was quiet and empty. It took about 30 minutes to get the first pizza: a small cheese for the kids (they gave us a large). Another 20 minutes went by, and we didn't have the rest of our food. We inquired with the waitress and it was still another 15 minutes until we got part of our order (wings). Another 15 minutes went by and I told the waitress that we were going to have to have the adult pizza to go. It took another 15 minutes for her to bring it out to us in a box (wrong size again--we ordered a large and she brought an extra large). The extra large pizza half with three toppings and the other half "Four Cheese" was $51. As for the food review: the pizza is awful. And "four cheese" is just cheese--like my kids got. I would have complained, but I didn't see anyone working there who was more than 16 years old.

Dre A.

Yelp
Rating: 4.5 Carry Out Order: Arugula Salad Lasagna Pizza Probably one of the best in Danville. Great hold, light crunch, and not crazy with the sauce. Tastes great! One Bite Everyone Knows the Rules - 8.1 solid to almost East Coast standards. Per other reviews and my observation, not like the East Coast where you get heavy foot traffic and there's a variety of pies to choose from. Just order a fresh pie to avoid the one slice, you should know better unless you come when they have fresh ones around lunchtime. Salad - just a salad nothing to write home about.

Koji H.

Yelp
Took the entire family here; on a Sunday at noon and it's closed. Website, window, Yelp says they are open and it's not. No signs, no notes, no nothing. Highly disappointing

Hazel J.

Yelp
Really good pizza joint! We ate on the patio with our dogs. Great spot for people watching. They have a fair number of bottled beers available to choose from. Got the Caesar salad and the Nonna's pizza. Both were very enjoyable. What made the pizza great were the crispy, yet chewy crust, the rich tomato sauce, and plenty of fresh basil. It was very well balanced and I would order this again in a heartbeat. Will be back to try more!

Shaheen N.

Yelp
Went to Romana Pizzaria after work with colleagues. Great service, menu, Pizzas, and pastas. The Italian food flavour was exceptional. must try when you're passing through Danville on Hartz Street .

Sadaf O.

Yelp
Finally found a spot nearby with great pizza and ambience. Super clean and new restaurant with a great selection of pizzas with good quality ingredients. I'm from New York and my expectations of a good pizza are high and this pizza spot will definitely be my go to spot. Service is excellent!

scott f.

Yelp
Wow, just ordered for the first time. I was just saying the last thing Danville needs is another pizza joint, but I was wrong. This pizza is amazing, best pizza I've had in quite awhile.

Leticia M.

Yelp
Great east coast pizza - thin crisp crust, fresh ingredients, and friendly staff. We have stopped in for by the slice pizzas and have ordered takeout. Their gluten free crust is my favorite in the area. Our go to pizza spot! Definitely recommend.

Inconspicuous V.

Yelp
Dave from "One Bite" needs to visit here. First off, the owner is very friendly and was extremely accommodating when my family of 6 came in for a slice right before closing. Then, the pizza! I love how they opened across the street from the town's iconic pizzeria, "primos". Here, the pizza is head and shoulder's above primos and any surrounding places. Plus, they have ricotta which I add to every slice. Great job!

Amber B.

Yelp
We ordered delivery and were highly impressed! It was hand delivered by the owner and his son, which was good to meet them! Very personable. As for the pizza, 10/10. Will be our new go-to when ordering pizza in the Danville area. Will be checking it out in person soon!

Nick M.

Yelp
Pizza was great and the service was even better. We had them spell a word with the pepperoni and it turned out amazing. Would order again!

Keven B.

Yelp
Wanted to like it, but it was very garlicky... aside from the $2.00 extra we paid for peppers that were forgotten, it was one of the least impressive pizzas I've had in ages. Plus side, easy to order, and prompt.

Gregory S.

Yelp
We decided to try this new Danville pizzeria because they have a menu section for vegetarian/vegan, along with gluten-free crust. As vegans (and one GF) we like to support accommodating restaurants. The staff was nice but harried. The ambiance was typical pizza joint. As we were ordering a guy came in because they made his pizza wrong and was promptly given a replacement, which again was wrong. He sat and waited another 30 minutes - third time is a charm, I hope. The cashier was all alone and trying to manage everything in the front. She was repeatedly apologetic but eventually got us our (very reasonably priced) drinks although the beer was really foamy, and the white wine was warm from a bottle on the counter. We sat outside awaiting our food and after 20-30 minutes I checked to see if our salad was ready only to find out that our order was never placed with the kitchen. Our salad came out a few minutes later. About an ounce of arugula and a tablespoon or two of walnuts and a very acidic, almost inedible, salad dressing for $10. The pizza came out about 10 minutes later. We were disappointed to see there was no cheese on the "pizza". Most of the pizzas on the menu don't list cheese, so I was surprised ours had none. If you're going to advertise vegan pizza, get some vegan cheese please! The sauce and toppings were good but the crust a bit over baked. We left very unfulfilled and hungry and went to another restaurant. My wife summed it up "Well, that sucked." Perhaps our timing was bad or an off night, but if not, Romana needs to up its game to survive in a town with a lot of pizza options.

Adrian F.

Yelp
Great food didn't take long Great service nice spot to sit and watch the world go by

Old Coot L.

Yelp
Ordered a delivery pizza. After all the hype it was greasy, crust was soggy, and pizza was very salty. Thanks but not for me

Koshik S.

Yelp
New day, new place and our love for Pizza led us to Romana Pizzeria. I opted for the Cheese slice, and my wife went for the Mushroom. The slice was crispy and the taste was alright. Was it the best? No. however, it was still good enough to fulfill the desire to have a slice. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was reasonably good. Overall, its a decent stop if you are around the area. 3.5 stars for me.

Arash C.

Yelp
I've tried every pizza in Danville and am bonafide pizza fanatic. When I heard a new pizza place had opened, I jumped in my car and drove over. I've been here twice. The first time I got the pan pizza, and the second time I got the sicilian style. The good: The toppings tasted fresh and flavorful. The servers were friendly and prompt. The bad: The cheese tasted like rubbery bubblegum. The type that you can chew for an hour and it just won't breakdown. The crust and bread on both pizzas was the worst I've ever had from any pizza place, pizza chains included. It was rough, hard, oily, heavy, and had zero fluff or chew. The prices are also awful for what you get. I could excuse some of the problems if the prices were reasonable, but they aren't. They are priced to perfection, raining in at one of the most expensive pizzas in Danville, but epically fall flat off the mark. If they can fix their cheese, bread, crust, and over-pricing issues, they can be successful. Otherwise, I don't see them being in business 24 months from now. I hope they can, and if they do, I'll be back to change my opinion and rating.

Howie K.

Yelp
Really good cheese and margarita slice. Even threw in a garlic knot to try. Was really good paired with their spicy sauce which seemed like it had Calabrian chilis in it. Can't wait to try a square. Nice guys behind the counter. As good as Blackhawk and better than anything else in Danville.

Jessica S.

Yelp
We've now been here three times. Perfect local eatery. As an east coaster it feeds my soul to have an authentic slice of pizza. And, their salads are delightful. Can't wait to make this our go to spot!

Jeff G.

Yelp
Great new spot to grab a slice, order a full pizza for dinner in the restaurant or pick up. We came here for dinner at the restaurant tried the Margarita and the Delizia Della Casa. Both delicious and the crust just perfect blend of crisp and chewy. Highly recommend this new restaurant. Great flavors and they even gave us two cannolis on the house. From friendly staff to fast service and great tasting pizzas, we will definitely be back.

Fam J.

Yelp
Was so happy to finally see a decent pizza by the slice place open up in Danville. We stopped by on our way home from the airport and it hit the spot. Crispy east coast style crust, quality toppings and the gentleman behind the counter was so kind. We will definitely be back.

Amy L.

Yelp
Finally excellent pizza for a reasonable price in Danville. Everyone must try this place. Order whatever your favorite is. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Mckenna M.

Yelp
The food was so yummy and Ray was super helpful and nice. We tried the garlic knots which were super good as well as the margarita pizza flatbread. The restaurant on the inside is so pretty too and a great environment. We will definitely be back!

Anna W.

Yelp
Pizza is very good. I think I was one of there first customers. Garlic bread was good very garlicky. Whenever I see a cannoli, I have to get it and this one was very good small but very good.

Helen H.

Yelp
We love the calzone at Romana Pizzeria. We have had it a few times and it is always good. The last time we were there, the owner introduced us to the Stromboli. It is absolutely delicious! So nice to have a pizzeria that offers more than just pizza. We will be frequenting this pizzeria frequently.

Ami A.

Yelp
Just discovered the best pizzeria spot in Danville. Enjoyed the Niners game with a delicious margarita pizza and refreshing caprese salad. The environment was very friendly, and guys were very nice and helpful. Will definitely come back next time!

Brian I.

Yelp
You must try this place!! Stopped in for a quick lunch- two slices were reheated a bit and both were excellent. The combo slice was fresh and very garlicky- such a great toasted crust. The pepperoni slice was delicious, cheesy and meaty- with a really good save. The round crusts are thin and come out with crunchy. The service guy was really helpful and nice- definitely will return. Pass the word.
