Ronnie's Diner

I tried out this place based on a friend's recommendation who lives nearby. It's a casual café that serves tasty breakfast and lunch. We ordered the breakfast burrito, ham and eggs with grits, and the French toast combo. The food was delicious, although the grits and toasts didn't come buttered. I requested butter for the toast and grits, and the server brought me a few packages. However, by the time I put the butter on my toast, it had already gotten cold, so I ended up not eating it. They do have daily specials, which sounded delicious.

I was here 3 years ago and looked forward to going back on my next trip out to LA. The waiter noticed our Packer and Badger shirts as we sat down and asked where we were from, very personable and friendly! The food was delicious, the cinnamon roll pancakes had lots of flavor, the best cinnamon roll pancakes I've had anywhere. We also had the breakfast burritos with sausage which were also delicious 😋. I'd go back again when I get back to LA!

A must try place for great diner food. Fast service, good prices. First time here I got the cheeseburger combo, a great option.

Excellent food, super nice staff in a relaxed atmosphere. I recommend the breakfast Burrito, it comes in to smaller portions for an easy to handle meal. The pancakes are amazing as well. Give them a try. They are Also a family friendly restaurant that can accommodate a larger group with proper notice.

Very large portions and the atmosphere fits all people. Very impressed. The food was delicious and home style.

2nd time I visited here and 2nd time I had a great experience. The services are top notch, and the waitress is friendly and helpful. Order a BLT and it was delicious. They do close early and parking can be a hassel if it's a busy time. Nevertheless, I recommend this place. And while I didn't get to try the breakfast options, I will be on my next visit!

Still one of the best retro dinners around great breakfast with the best gluten free pancakes and many healthy options. I lived the egg white scramble with spinach , tomatoes and cottage cheese.

Delicious and straightforward little diner. I loved the portion size of my burrito and that it was packed with egg and spinach! The special of the day included tomatillo eggs Benedict which were so flavorful

We came here on a Sunday at 12:45pm. The parking lot was packed and we waited about 5 minutes before we found a spot. We had a 30 minute wait, but it went by quickly. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and they had an outdoor heater. The French toast, omelettes, and mocha café lattes were delicious. This place is tasty and affordable. As far as service, our waiter was very attentive.

Ronnie's has become a go-to breakfast spot for me on the west side of LA. It's a friendly little neighborhood diner that has good food, hot coffee, an accommodating staff, and some of the best French toast I've ever had - all for an affordable price. The diner itself sits in a mini-strip mall-like business center, but the other businesses don't attract too much traffic so there's usually a good amount of parking spots in the lot available. On a weekend morning, Saturday or Sunday, there can be a 10-20 minute wait as many of people from the neighboring residential neighborhoods come in for breakfast and bring their kids, but the staff is really good about bringing food out quickly and getting people in and out without rushing them. There is indoor and patio seating, and each space is pretty large. It's very nice to sit outside on a beautiful day and watch people walk by while enjoying a hot cup of coffee. Pro tip: Ronnie's French Toast (pictured) is SO good. It's two big slices of fluffy toast, topped with a ton of powdered sugar and maple syrup. It definitely hits the spot for anyone with a bit of a sweet tooth for breakfast.

Neighborhood spot, been there since I was a kid, great to see and know spots like this are still around and thriving. Need more places like this. Nevermind the fancy stuff, just good food, good service without all the fluff

A really solid and fair priced diner in the Marina del Rey area. Los Angeles has so many awesome diners to choose from and I would consider this one of those. They have a large parking lot attached that had plenty of parking when we arrived for a 10:30AM Saturday brunch. We were seated right when we arrived and our server did a great job checking in on us and being on top of the drink refills. It's fairly large on the inside and they have a lot of different seating options although when I go to a diner, I always prefer a booth. You can tell it's the sort of place that a lot of locals frequent which lets me to know that it is also consistently good. They have a lot of great food options on the menu, so it was hard to choose. For our first visit we chose the California Scramble, the Eggs Benedict, and shared a Cinnamon Roll Pancake. The scramble was really good and seasoned well, and was a large sized portion. The Eggs Benedict was very traditional and even though the hollandaise was not my favorite compared to other places, it was still very good. The cinnamon roll pancake was exceptionally great and I especially liked the icing on top. Overall Ronnie's is a really solid diner in West Los Angeles. I definitely plan to be back in the future and love that they have free parking on-site, which is pretty rare in LA.

I love this restaurant! There are far too few diner's left in our part of Los Angeles and this is my favorite. I pick up lunch from here often. They are always serving fresh and have spectacular service. If only they kept the Spanish rice on the menu (i.e. Louisiana Royale), I'd still be a breakfast regular. So hopefully they bring it back someday.

Wonderful little dinner located in a small strip mall. We absolutely love the food. I ordered eggs Benedict, orange juice, and a coffee. Service, Food was exceptional. Price point very inexpensive.. not a need to overdo this review. It was exactly what I was looking for and more. What I really enjoyed about Ronnie's diner is everyone seemed to take ownership in whatever task they were doing, which leads me to believe this may be a family owned establishment..

A great local diner. Was surprised how clean and friendly Ronnie's Diner was. Stop in after arriving at LAX and needing a good American style breakfast after several weeks in Europe. I was not disappointed. It exceeded all expectations and will be my go to [place when in the area! The food was fantastic and the service matched the food, all great!!! Highly recommended.

Second time coming. Quality is still the same. A very classic breakfast. Does not feel greasy or badly made. It's a great place for the traditional breakfast. I must admit, the portion size is a tad small. I recommend this place. Seems like you can't go wrong. The vanilla latte was amazing.

I've been going to Ronnie's a couple times a month for the last few years. My go to was always the pancake special or French toast special. I'd recommend either of those anytime! Lately I've been getting the chiliquiles. I absolutely love them. I went yesterday and was told there's a new menu (photos included with new prices) and the chiliquiles now come with green sauce. Red sauce is not an option. I was so disappointed because I really wanted them and I do not like green sauce. Most places use the red sauce or at least give you the option of red or green. Very disappointed that's not the case here. Now I'll have to go somewhere else to get this dish

I notice there aren't very many current reviews. Don't let that put you off. This little divey place is great. The only diss is that their coffee is really weak. I asked the server about that and he said half the people like it weak and the other half don't. Had the spinach and cheddar omelet. Yum. Good home fries. Toast. How can you go wrong? My bteakfast mate had egg special with turkey sausage that was absolutely delicious.

Great service from friendly staff. Had the chorizo and egg plate and I am picky but this was good!! Casual diner with typical small diner feel.

This is the go-to post surf spot for my dad and I. Everything I order I love!! Everyone that we have taken here is also obsessed with them. The staff are always so sweet and our food arrives promptly. The food does well Togo also! I love that they play old TV shows on their television. Nothing warms you up like hot chocolate and a cozy diner!

Good food and great service! The server were nice and quick! We enjoyed this diner feel. I got the scrambled egg burrito. My partner got the 2 eggs, bacon and toast. My coffee never went empty and they even gave me a coffee to go. We'd definitely come back!

This is the most LA diner of all time which is to say that's not a great thing. Get a load of this: they DO NOT have hash browns! I'm born and raised here, familiar with the dining landscape and don't necessarily expect much, but this is a crying shame.

Functional breakfast. Old school diner feel. My favorite thing here is the cinnamon roll pancakes- but they only do them on certain days so call to make sure if that's what you're going for. I've also tried a few other plates and everything else is just okay to me. If you're in the area and craving breakfast def stop by. Can be lines/longer waits on the weekend mornings so be prepared for that.

You don't have to go to Jersey Shore to fist pump with this Ronnie. A nice little local diner that serves breakfast and lunch options. Offers all the traditional choices, with a few little specialties in between (ex. Cinnamon roll pancake). The omelette with toast and potatoes was satisfying, but typical average breakfast tasting. Cost around $15. Two pancake stack was $9. Could be better, could be worse. Sunday morning, expect a 20-30 minute wait. Small parking lot and outdoor area available too. No pets allowed!

A no frills diner with fantastic service. Ordered the huevos rancheros along with a side of fries and everything was fantastic. On the edge of Culver City, in the middle of an industrial area, you'll find this little place that has great food and priced very reasonably.

Can't eat here. Just went there for the first time today and sadly this restaurant is not at all accommodating for those of us with Dietary Restrictions and want to charge extra for removing items and add 1 simple one. What I wanted was their eggs florentine and remove the muffin and put it on tomato slices. No bread, no potatoes just tomato slices. The answer directly from the owner is no, that do not swap out. What a shame, no one with diabetes food restrictions, those on Keto, Paleo, Atkins, Golo, South Beach or if you just want to swap your it's a no go. The place is packed and I'm sure the food is good, but I won't go back. Went to Dinah's instead no issues.

I absolutely love this place!! The vibe inside and service is like no other. I came here on the weekend and it was only a 15 minute wait which isn't bad compared to other places. I ordered their cinnamon roll pancakes (asked for gf). They were to die for!! Despite them being gf, they were fluffy and moist. The icing was the cherry on top. It exceeded my expectations. Their coffee was strong and SO good. Our server was very kind and funny. I loved that they play old shows on the TV. The prices are insanely good and worth it for the portions and quality of food. 10/10 recommend trying this place!!

I've been driving by this joint for almost 30 years. Every time I'd ask myself..."I wonder if the food is edible". Well let me tell you, it's edible, the portions are generous, the service is beyond great...My days of just driving by are over. Ronnie's is a no nonsense local diner that harkens back to the old days. Also, it's not a greasy spoon (under full disclosure I do have an affinity for greasy spoons). I ordered the chicken Ortega omelette. The only thing I do differently now there is have them put extra Ortega's in my omelette. This place is a definite keeper...

Nice little local breakfast place. Feels like a family run, home style restaurant. Plenty of parking space. Very close to LAX. We ordered French tots, veggie omelette and sandwich. The food came out on pretty quick and the service was quick and friendly. The food tasted good especially the French toast was fluffy and yummy. Lots of seating inside, not very busy when we went, so need not wait for a long time. The value for money is good. Definitely recommend it if you are near the area.

Amazing food, great prices, fabulous service, and a wonderful atmosphere! The team at Ronnie's Diner gave myself and my family from England the warmest welcome ever! And to top it off, just as we were getting ready to leave, Ronnie himself came out and asked how everything was! He thanked us for coming. Made us feel like family. So if you want delicious food at an unbeatable price, incredible customer service, stop at Ronnie's Diner! You can't beat it!

The food was great , service was slow but overall great atmosphere. The wait time to get seated was not long about 5 to 10 minutes. Once seated, the server was quite slow on getting the food to the table.

Love this spot, one of few left like it! Great prices, delicious food, can't ask for much more. Glad to support a small business that still feels authentic. Got the chorizo bowl which was amazing and the cinnamon roll pancakes are a must have!!!

Good portions and tasty . Sometimes if you sit outside it takes awhile to get served. It's definitely a convenient location since it's on the bike path and if your driving along Culver Blvd. It's on your way to the beach! The ambiance is just a nice coffee shop but it's about the food!

I went to this place on a Monday morning about 0930AM. It's a small place within a small strip mall, so it's easy to miss. It's self seating , No wait. The waiter came over immediately after we sat down. He was extremely nice and personable. The food came out quickly, the coffee was made fresh. I ordered the chorizo bowl, which was so good I've been ranting and raving about it ever since I ate it . It was my first time here and they did not disappoint. I will definitely be back to try other items in the menu

An excellent spot for breakfast. Realistic prices, super nice staff. I recommend the Chilaquiles. So delicious! Easy parking. Have no complaints about this place, it's the best! Even the music they play in there is excellent . Highly recommend.

Was looking around the area for a good breakfast spot. Came across here and so glad I did. Service was great and the food was very good. Not greasy, had flavor, and nice outdoor patio. When I'm in the area again I will be back.

Service is always fast and friendly, the outdoor space is cool when its warmer and the food is solid diner fare with many specials.

Great staff. Very accommodating. Separated the checks for us. The food was good. I got links, eggs and grits. It was all very yummy.

7/2/23 First time, and last. The host, a sloppy young boy w a very bad attitude that kept staring as if in discust. July 4th weekend not busy at all. The server was great, the food not so much. We had the corn beef hash, its "homemade" and should be left at home. I've had canned versions way tastier.

Absolutely lovely staff, super friendly and knowledgable. Food was pretty good too. Felt like a classic diner with a hint of cafe vibes. Knocked down a star because my friend had found a hair in. They were so nice and apologetic about it, they comped her meal and even offered another one for free. We had a great time! And will definitely come again.

This is probably my favorite breakfast diner on the Westside aside from Pann's. I think the reason why I liked this place is because they offer Mexican and American breakfasts that are equally as tasty. This place is situated in an unassuming strip mall just east of the 90. Parking was plentiful and there was both inside and outside seating. Upon entering, the waiter tells you to sit yourself wherever you want. On a random Wednesday morning at 9:30am there was more than enough open seating (however more people started coming in around 10am... I have a knack for knowing when to beat the rush hehe). You scan a QR code for the menu, but honestly i'd stick to the Yelp pictures. I had to hurriedly choose a dish, because the waiter checked up on me for my order 3x in a span of 5 minutes! So I just got the Breakfast Special since it seemed like a solid choice. (I'm coming back for the chorizo bowl and the huevos rancheros next time!). Since I'm extra, I had to get a french toast on the side as well, and good thing I did because they use Kings Hawaiian bread!!! The decor looks like it hasn't been updated in 20 years but I like that though. My husband told me the bathroom was clean and the bathroom stall doors looked like they were actually shower doors, which I thought was odd. I didn't have to use the bathroom, but I'll have to check that out next time haha. All in all, spending $30ish for a meal for 2 (ok maybe 2.5 with my french toast) was a pretty darn good deal and for the quality too.

So happy I found this place.Breakfast for $10 in Marina del Rey outskirts.full breakfast was great. 2 Sausages were almost like British bangers.3 eggs cooked over easy perfect.My only suggestion is to maybe have an extra person walking around doing coffee refills,because it took a while to get a refill and I had to catch someone's attention.The food was excellent,so I don't dwell on the little things.This is my new breakfast place.

We were passing through and needed a quality breakfast to keep us going on our road trip.... We found this place on the map and decided to give it a try. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and home style potatoes for the side. We also had an omelette with sourdough toast. Service was friendly, coffee was hot and the food was good. All dishes had that home-cooked feel. Not at all greasy and portions were quite generous. Nothing to complain about, so if I'm ever in the area again I'd revisit.

My boyfriend and I love diners and we wanted to try a new spot. We found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. I have a service dog and the entire approach from coming here to being served was extremely uncomfortable. The hostess asked if my dog was a service animal and I said yes. Then another girl asked for identification of proof that he was a service animal. By law: A public place cannot require a person to "prove" that their dog is a service dog. To be considerate I requested an outdoor table to begin with but they never acknowledge that and once they found out he was a service animal she was persistent on us sitting outside only. Once we were seated and trying to relax and enjoy our Sunday meal, a bald male employee approached us in a rude non friendly way telling us to keep my service animal under the table. After that we felt extremely uncomfortable being there and really just wanted to get up and leave but we had already ordered and had our food so we just ate and left. Their approach with someone that is a paying customer who has special needs and needs assistance with a service animal was extremely unprofessional, uncomfortable and rude. We wanted to like this place but unfortunately we will not be returning EVER.

Well, I have been driving by this place for years now, so i decided to stop by for breakfast on Memorial Day. So i put my name is 10 min wait not bad and this 90 year old man tripes in the parking lot at had a cut above his head. A staff member from the restaurant went into action to help the man ambiance was called. I also helped a little bit with my first aid kit. And was taken to UCLA hospital. Now the food i order coffee and eggs Benedict with a side of grits.The food came out hot and tasty. I will start coming here more often. Also, I hope the staff member does become a paramedic as he told me he wanted to be. It's definitely a nice dinner to come to with the family and friends.

Excellent service 20/10. Food was solid, delicious. Chorizo bowl was hearty and eggs were perfect. 7.5/10. Cinnamon roll pancake- AMAZING. Not too sweet sans syrup. 12/10 do recommend. People are definitely the nicest and most helpful we've met so far in LA.

This place is pretty good. I went here after I found out that the owners of Brothers Burritos in Hermosa beach owned it. The people at Brothers told me about this place when I told them I was moving to Playa Del Rey and was going to miss getting Brothers every day on the way to work. I loved brothers burritos so I had to try it out. 2 years later after moving and I was walking by there finally. I didn't go previously because the burrito options were much inferior to brothers selections. It's a lot less customizable as far as options of the burritos/scrambles, and quesadillas. If you have chorizo on other items, it should 100% be an item to add into your burrito on the menu. They were also out of zucchini when I tried to add it. I got the Chorizo bowl which I ordered scrambled, but they gave it over medium as the typical menu item has. I was very disappointed in the amount of chorizo served with the dish. It was good however despite the lack of chorizo (all of it shown in my picture) and the missed detail of the scrambled egg request. I also got their burritos hoping it would be as good as Brothers Burritos. It was good too, but a lot less of the ingredient filling than brothers. They should incorporate how brothers does it and individually wrap each burrito in tin foil to retain the temperature and you can also save the other if you want easily and neatly. They gave only one option of salsa which isn't enough. I wish if they were in fact owned by Brothers Burritos that they'd have their signature salsas, especially the spicy one. Might be back, but Brothers Burritos is still the best. Brothers should incorporate more of Brothers in addition to the diner. None the less the amount of diner food is much more extensive to Brothers which I like.

Breakfast special, breakfast tacos with pulled pork. The real star is this special salsa sauce they serve with it. Ridiculous flavor and not too spicy for gringos. Great service.

Rude staff, unwelcoming establishment. No dogs allowed, even well behaved ones in their outdoor area.

Exactly what we wanted in a breakfast place! Nothing fancy or showy, just great food and friendly service. Highly recommended!
