Rootwood Cider Taproom - at the Orchard

What a fantastic spot for an afternoon cider tasting and hangout! We loved our visit from start to finish. The gentleman working was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better. The ciders are really good, ranging from dry to semi-sweet, with a unique pepper one available right now. Snacks available were perfect for holding us over until dinner. Definitely want to return!

Rootwood Cider is a must-stop when you’re in the Lake Chelan area! The cider is always fantastic, and the staff is warm and welcoming. We love the outdoor seating; it’s comfortable, relaxed, and never too loud. You can even reserve a sheltered table in advance, which is a great option. Our favorite ciders are the Harrison, Rosé, and Lake Effect, all super flavorful and well-crafted. The Buzzing Bee cider cocktail was also a standout! Whether you’re passing through or spending time in Manson, it's always worth a visit.

We had such a great experience at Rootwood Cider! It’s truly family friendly, a refreshing change after coming from a nearby winery that made us feel like having kids along was an inconvenience. This place was the exact opposite! There were tons of toys and space for the kids to play, which let us adults relax and actually enjoy our drinks. The staff was absolutely amazing; kind, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. He really made the visit special for us. It was our first time here, but we’ll definitely be coming back whenever we’re in town. Highly recommend for families and anyone who wants a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere with great cider! So good that we had to buy some bottles and merch to take home!

Stopped by on a weekday so it wasn’t very busy. They have a nice outdoor seating area with some toddler toys. Our kid enjoyed playing with the mega blocks while we dined. The indoor space is minimal. We got a cider flight. Three ciders at 12$ were fair value. The ghost pepper cider was the highlight so we got more of it. It was unlike anything I had tried before. The apple chips with cream cheese were delicious too and complemented the ghost pepper cider

The Rootwood Taproom has great ciders with some really nice creative variations. Their apples are all Estate grown on the family property and make for some great dry to slightly semi sweet cider options. The property is beautiful, casual and a great way to spend the afternoon. I definitely would recommend Rootwood and will return when we are in the area.

Great setting.. you are seating right in the orchard..they have a great selection of ciders and some food.. The ciders are amazing and the service is very good.. very friendly place .. I truly recommended if you are in Lake chelan..

My daughter loves cider so we stopped into Rootwood while staying in Chelan. Plentiful, free parking can be found in the lot. Credit cards are accepted forms of payment. Shaded and unshaded outdoor seating in available. Indoors is small but comfortable. Rootwood offers club options as well as to-go cider in bottles and crowlers. Rootwood swag can be purchased. Food options are narrow. During our visit we each built a flight for $12; 3 cider samples. If a full bottle of cider is purchased, the $12 flight fee is applied towards the bottle price. Admittedly, I'm not a cider fan; however, Rootwood was a fun stop and the staff was pleasant.

We love Rootwood so much we joined the club! The outside seating is great, you sit in gazebos outside with fire pits in the winter. The cider isn't too sweet and there are so many great flavors to try. We love coming to visit when we are in town.

A sunny fall day, sitting on the patio sipping a cider flight and taking in the orchard surrounding us. Heaven! Our host Rachael, was incredibly welcoming and we all chatted about beautiful Manson and its history. Love their ciders! Crisp, well balanced and not crazy sweet. We also picked a bag of golden delicious apples! Do yourself a favor and wander up the hillside to enjoy this place!

This was one of my favorite spots I visited in the Chelan area! All of the ciders were incredible and totally different from ones I've tried in the past. The ghost pepper one was my favorite even though I'm not usually one for spicy. Reid served us and was amazing! He was knowledgeable, funny, and helped us figure out which ciders to try. We sat outside at a fire table and it was so fun! We kept warm in the snow, and Reid even brought us blankets. The cheese plate was generous and full of great snacks! It was great for 4 people, but if we were hungrier we could have split it between 2. Loved it so much that my friends joined the club, which was a great deal. Absolutely lovely location, delicious cider, fun staff, and super cool vibe!

Rootwood Cider just continues to get more impressive with each release. The Rose and Harrison were wonderful- balanced, dry, and a long finish. As I drink more and more cider, I keep comparing to Rootwood and they never disappoint. Super friendly service too.

This was one of our must visits on our wine tasting weekend as we had several cider babies in our party. After a long day of wine tasting those cider babies wanted nothing more than a glass of something tart and refreshing. Our friend reserved an outside table that had a beautiful fireplace and we also got blankets. The outdoor space was really nice. Cozy thanks to the fireplace and blankets and it was also covered keeping us dry. We had good service and they brought us out some cider tastings as well as some hot apple cider hitting the spot on a chilly day. The husband of mine, who is a cider fiend, loved Lake Effect and had to get a bottle. I really loved their seasonal cherry. While we only had an hour to enjoy our sampling we definitely went home with plenty for later!

While in Chelan we drove over to Manson and stopped at their tasting/gift location on Main Street. We had two delicious snacks and some cider. When I closed out the bill it was recommended we stop at their orchard location. I love adventure so we found it and did a tasting. The representative on site was super friendly, a life long resident. The grounds are beautiful, we got some history about the farm and I bought two bottles to take home. In all my summers in Chelan I've never been here. I will definitely make this spot a stop when I there. Beautiful location and delicious cider. Just recently consumed the rose' cider with friends and they were impressed. Venture off the beaten path and you will discover spots like this!

I just tried their three cider selection and I have to say, the one that really stood out to me was the Hop Infused. Has a very nice crisp taste and flavorful to it. The outside sitting is beautiful, especially on a nice full on Spring weather. Highly recommend to check this place out!

Oh wow! This was an unscheduled stop but Steve and I came here to try a nearby craft brewery and figured we should stop in and try the cider here as well when we were up in the Lake Chelan area a few weekends ago. The cider here was fantastic and I love the taproom here! This area of Washington has cider and wine everywhere and one would hope that a fine quality of these things would be produced here. Well that certainly seems to be happening at Rootwood. The cider here was outstanding! Steve and I split a glass of their Harvest Cider which was extremely refreshing and perfect for the summer day we were out and about. The taproom is tastefully decorated and the outside seating is quite lovely to relax and enjoy the day go by. Excellent cider... I will definitely make a return trip back here whenever I'm in the area.

My last review was when the taproom was in downtown Manson and this was my first visit to the Orchard - I absolutely love this location. It is a cute and cozy tasting room set in the Orchard - we visited in the snow in winter and it was so peaceful and gave such a warm feeling despite the weather outdoors. We did a tasting, bought some bottles, and the best part - had some hot spiced cider to warm us up in the winter weather! I can't wait to visit again in the summer!

Nice, quiet little spot to get some hard cider. All of the ciders I picked for my flight were great, but my favorite was rose.

Yummy cider and dog friendly! Went there in February and the snow made for great views. They acclimated our large group easily. Our server had great recommendations and we had a great time!

Passed by Rootwood Cider for 3 years and finally stopped in for a sample. Man, were we missing out. The cider flight is 6 1-oz pours. They were all good but my favorite was the hop infused because it had a hint of beer flavor which turned into me leaving with a growler. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and I enjoyed the conversation. We will be stopping now when in Manson instead of driving by, don't make the same mistake I did and stop by for the flight out of 6 I'm sure you'll like one of them. The tasting room was open and casual will a cool drift wood wall. Cheers!

We visited Rootwood Cider Taproom for the barrel tasting weekend in Chelan. Unfortunately they didn't have any special tastings going on, or at least none that they told us of. But the ciders were great, on the drier side which are my fave and they let you pick a collection to taste. This collection is brought in a fun wooden trough to your table attached with note cards on each cider. We also ordered some food, basic food, cheese, meats, chips and salsa is all they have here, but it was good nonetheless. I would love to have seen some salads and such feature on the menu too, but hey! Atmosphere was good and the employees seemed happy to be working there! We hope to be back!

Great find and a refreshing break from wine tasting. The tastings: Lot 17 is crisp light and enjoyable. Harvest 100 is flavorful with subtle sweetness. Friendly staff and a nice place to relax and socialize!

We visited in January during a weekday and had a wonderful experience! The tasting room is in a very cute building right on the main street of Manson. Cider was delicious and we got several bottles to take home! Service was excellent and friendly. We enjoyed a plate of salami, cheese, crackers and apricots as well. A must-visit when in the area!

The Dry Hopped cider was my fave! Nice space, friendly service, free pretzels. A tasting includes all four of their ciders. I'll be back!

Excellent thing to do on a hot day!! We were able to do share a tasting and then enjoyed a few glasses each! Excellent cider! It's kid-friendly too - they had a stash of toys for our 3 year old to play with. We enjoyed talking with the employee about their business and purchased some cider to bring home. They also have some great logo wear. We brought a Tshirt home too!

My husband is a beer guy and he loves Rootwood's cider, all of their offerings are amazing, dry, and really drinkable. When I visit the Lake Chelan area I make certain to stop in and grab a few bottles to bring home to Seattle. I wish we could get Rootwood on the other side of the mountains!

Great cider enjoyed on their patio! Everyone had their own favorite from the 5 we sampled from the tasting. Friendly staff. Wish we could buy the cider here in Tennessee.

Rootwood cider is a great addition to the wineries in the valley. It is refreshing on a hot day and we heat it up with some cinnamon sticks in the winter, so grab a case to go. They have indoor and outdoor seating and its a really a great place to relax, visit with some friends and enjoy the wonderful weather and a little quieter experience in Manson.

Omg, I didn't know cider could taste go good!!! Their lot 17 is almost like a dry white wine. Absolutely incredible, can wait to come back and visit on our next family vacation.

Great spot and delicious cider. It was nice to have a "change" after all the wine tastings we had throughout the day. Tried both ciders on tap and they were very tasty.
