Rosa Pizza

My friend had the chicken salad slice while I had the spinach slice. She loved her slice, and mine was very creamy and delicious. I'm glad we came across this restaurant.

If you're hungry this place is just okay. two stars = okay. Pizza is overpriced because the restaurant is so beautiful, and the rent is high. Also, there is no competition around Harlem, which makes them justify the outrageous price of their pizza by adding a crap-ton of toppings. I only come here when I don't feel like traveling somewhere else or cooking. This place is still a lot better than the other spot down the block ("Pizza Stop" = absolute garbage).

I ordered a large cheese pie through doordash and it was so good that I had to leave a review. It's rare that a SIMPLE cheese pie amazes me. Weird right?! But it was sooooo freaking good. Made my roomies try it and they all agreed. Rosa and Patsy's are my top in Harlem!

Really nice spot on the corner road, 119th Street and Frederick, Douglass in Harlem. The place is really pretty immaculate really clean. The slices look fresh so as you've seen a picture I got a barbecue chicken slice and that want to think you want to call it. A fresh mozzarella slice really good. I think what I should have asked them was to heat the pizza up a little longer because I don't like warm pizza or cold pizza. But the pizza is good. I think if it was actually warmer or hotter pizza would have been better but nothing not in not loose pizza. Not soft pizza but the barbecue pizza could have been a little better. I just don't like the choice of barbecue so it chose overall good spot on. I'll go back again check on them.

Great healthy slices here! Somehow this newly constructed place has pizza that feels healthier to my body. Just good solid quality food. It’s not overly seasoned, they could work on that bit, but it’s excellent excellent basic ingredients that taste good and feel fresh and healthy. That’s why I’ll he coming here again and again.

So damn tasty. So cheap and massive portions. Watch them cook in a clay oven and enjoy what they are doing. You can taste the pride in the cooking. Don't think, just go!

Pizza is good but don’t order the focaccia sandwiches. Mine was just a hero roll with grilled chicken.

Super fresh toppings! I had the Buffalo Chicken slice! It was full of chicken and the slice was super filling! The atmosphere is also relaxing! The staff is friendly as well. Reg. Cheese slice $3 w/ toppings $6.50.

Go-to place for pizza in the area. Whenever I have company over, I'll order a plain pie or a vodka penne pie. The crust comes out crispy on the outside but slightly doughy on the inside, just a good pie all around. Some honorable mention specialty slices: sweet chicken chilly (yum) and Margherita. Their grilled chicken paninis are good, but the fried chicken paninis are even better especially when they're freshly made. Store can get crowded and usually is but service is quick. Space on the inside is cramped and not big people friendly (talking about me) when it is crowded. There is an awkward long table right through the middle that makes the space feel narrow.

I ordered one plain pie and one pepperoni pie along with 2 orders of wings over the phone for pick up. The person over the phone was very rude as if I was annoying her for giving her my money? When I got to the place to pick up, she was also rude in person. Also not dressed appropriately with her belly hanging out of her pants. The pizza wasn't really good at all and the wings were terrible! It was the driest wings I've had in a while. First and last time I'll come here. Don't recommend.

Excuse the half eaten food, I took the picture late but I wanted to show what we got. We both got the Buffalo chicken slice sooooo good. My friend got the margherita slice and said it was good too but she could finish it. The portions are really good for the price. I paid $5 for my slice. Their service was kind & genuine. I think everyone should stop by here. There's not many good pizza spots in the Harlem area, but this one is really good. Thank you for the awesome food, keep up the great work, and Happy Holidays! Oh, and they also have calzones.

Ordered a 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 cheese and received a ruined cold pepperoni pizza. I guess they threw in a salad and fries because they couldn't fulfill our order and didn't tell us. Will not order again

I ordered a large cheese pie. It came roughly in 40 minutes cold, box wrinkled and wet feeling and the pie inedible due to it being a mushy pile of dough. They refused a refund or credit after contacting both Delivery service and store directly.

i was in town and was looking for a "New york slice of pizza" im not sure if this place has it but the slices here are very big , i had a slice of cheese the crust was crispy and the cheese was so good the cheese pizza was a 10 , i tried the chicken casar pizza which had croutons, lettuce, and casar dressing on it i would give it a 7 , the inside of this place is cute and small a good place in my book.

Rosa's pizza is a welcome pizza spot in an area that seldom offers good pizza. The location is known as having been the home to long gone Mocha Bar. The place is clean and bright and warm the way a restaurant with a brick oven should be.. Upon walking in, you'll be surprised that there is no posted menu to browse. You look at the pie display or scan the code for their online menu. However, you do get to witness all of the cooking happening in front of you and that's a nice touch. They do have multiple style of seating areas which include a small dining room upfront and a few high stools and small booths in the main space. There are beverage selections behind the counter that are carbonated and non-carbonated. The food is good if you're looking for a solid slice or pie. They do take custom orders at a price. I've enjoyed their pizza but thought their calamari could use a marinara with a bit more kick and their chicken buns (aka chicken rolls) were kinda bland and dry. The calzone looks amazing -- and on my last visit someone placed a large order or those. I hope to one day see if I can order a calzone with chicken; I will be back, so cross your fingers for me.

Rosa's is known as the best pizza Harlem! Service was great! Pizza was solid! Its located in a great neighborhood.

I was pretty disappointed. My boyfriend always grabs a slice when we just want something quick so I decided to order a whole pie and some wings. The pie we ordered was a white pizza, and it was soooooo thick and covered in cheese, it was a little too much and really drifted away from the idea of a true NY slice. We ordered wings. One mild one hot. The sauce came on the side and was not labeled indicating which sauce is which. I also paid an extra 50¢ for ranch for my boyfriend but I was given two blue cheeses. Overall, I would order from pizza stop down the block before ordering a whole pie from Rosas. The slices like I said are great, not sure what happened here.

Pizza tastes excellent and the service is very good I recommend this restaurant if you want good pizza

Yum, I'll be back maybe next time I'll get a slice instead of the whole pie though. My eyes were bigger than my stomach, but we had leftovers which was nice. I got pepperoni and sausage Sicilian and it was perfectly saucy and crispy on the edges. Service was quick and efficient as far as the order, I did have to wait for it to cook which is expected but as far as slices people were in and out very quickly. It is clean and was quite busy but there is indoor and outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your food there.

Great food horrible service the staff are disrespectful to anyone of color but kind to anyone whom isn't. Sad part is they are all foreigners

I can only speak about the cheese pizza, and it was amazing. I plan to come back and try some more fan favorites.

I had heard from a co-worker that the Cesar salad was pretty good so o went ant tried and yup it's yummy

Ordered (1) BBQ WINGS, Ranch dressing Slice of Hawaiian Pizza, Slice of plain pizza. Received the 2 pieces of pizza and 2 orders of plain wings with Hot Sauce and Blue Cheese dressing. Was hoping for a NY STYLE pizza experience while visiting from NC! Delivery guy was friendly and had wings inside insulated bag!

Their Margherita slice was one of the best I have ever had. This place is a must try when you are in or near Harlem.

Their pizza is DELICIOUS! It is always good no matter what you order. The garlic knots are always good. I have not tried anything besides that but I recommend if you want a good slice. It does not have a lot of seating inside but, there is outside seating as well. This is my neighborhood pizza spot and love to grab slices on the go, they are quick. I took away one star away for service because depending on who serves you, some workers are not that nice or borderline rude. If the pizza was not so delicious, I would avoid this place more. But ignore and enjoy!

Rosa's is my twist. My daughters and I always get pizza to carry out from here. We go plain cheese or buffalo chicken, both super good money. Haven't tried much else except the wings, they don't toss the buffalo sauce, they put it in the side, and the chicken isn't really anything special on its own. But, the pizza is fire, I do recommend.

Pizza was fresh, made with quality ingredients and delicious! The thin crispy crust had a nice bite not soggy at all.

Excellent taste and service, minimal seating so no large parties recommended. Priced comparable to less than other places nearby.

I pass by here anytime I go grocery shopping, but I finally decided to go inside. They have outdoor seating as well as inside and it's nice and cozy. The customer service was excellent. I decided to try those on your pizza and I did not regret it. It was so good! I will definitely be back

It's a pass for me Ordered via Uber eats. Ordered mozzarella sticks & 2 cheese slices Both flavorless , had to add seasoning The mozzarella sticks were not crispy and they placed them on top of a bed of lettuce (yuck) making them soggy and tasted like the lettuce. Fancy but not fancy lol . I felt so bloated and yuck after Wouldn't order again. Definitely not a New York pizza

The best pizza in New York City is the one nearest to you that doesn't give food poisoning. For me, Rosa is the joint. Reliable spot for local Harlemites in an area without many quick, cheap dining options that aren't fast food chains or bodegas. The pizzas themselves are more red than white, usually leaving tomato sauce on your clothes and counter if you're a sloppy eater. But there's a wide variety of topping options and their Sicilian and Grandma pizzas are both legit too.

Consistently delicious, my go-to pizza spot. Rosa Pizzeria of Harlem never disappoints. Their huge variety of options does NOT come at the cost of quality. Everything from their regular slice to grandma style to garlic knots are cooked just right, taste fresh, and are full of flavor each time. They even have sandwiches, pasta, soup, salad, and other great menu items that will have you savoring that really good bad Italian food, if you know what I mean. As in, it's not gourmet el dente restaurant pasta, but it's that yummy, saucy, cheesy, big portioned comfort food kind of good. But I rarely go for that other stuff because I can't help ordering their sizzling, tasty slices. I always feel good after grabbing a slice here because the service is just right. When I order, I don't feel rushed, but I know I'll get my food fast and efficiently. Everyone is polite, but genuine and to the point and not annoyingly over-the-top. Lastly, the ambiance is great. I usually plan on picking up and eating at home, but if I'm not in a hurry, the cozy but modern booths and friendly, clean atmosphere draws me in, and I end up taking a seat.

Best pizza slices in Harlem. Hands down. I had the eggplant Parm slice and the Margherita slice. Both were incredible! The sauce is amazing. This is my new spot for sure!

Superior option for reliable party pizza. We needed pizza for an event, that was around lunch which makes it trickier as many places are close. We end up trying (and liking!) this pizza place. The pizzas are well made in the traditional American style (nothing in common with Italy etc. that's not the point). The "plus" is that there are good options beyond the obvious: in particular the pizzas with ricotta, artichokes, and eggplants were noticeably better than what you would have in an average place. Does it beat Babbalucci or any legendary pizza place in Brooklyn? Well, no, just reign your expectations! Does it beat Sal & Carmine's on Broadway (a fairer comparison)? That's sort of up in the air, it's more a manner of style/size/options/locations. Whether you care in such rankings or not, you'll have what you want, the service was impeccable, the price fair and the location extremely convenient for Morningside Park or West Harlem. Just make sure you have enough because this is good stuff and people will take seconds! Hope this helps,

A welcomed edition to the neighborhood. Love their pizza and specialty rolls especially the sausage and pepper one. Friendly staff gives the place a real comfortable vibe.

A good, fresh slice here. The margherita is the best I've tried so far. Fresh mozzarella, sweet tomato sauce that's not burnt... have to start with quality basic ingredients, and they have that down really well. Their pizza is simpler, not over embellished, but it feels like a nourishing meal. So many places over season their stuff, and it tastes great but you feel like crap. With Rosa, I never feel like I need a nap afterward. Would recommend, and I will return!

So glad Rosa's finally opened up in Harlem! This area really needed a great authentic NY style pizza joint! Staff is friendly, plenty of places to sit, and the food ofcourse as in their other locations is always fresh and top notch! Plenty of variety of slices to choose from as well as pastas and other classic italian dishes. Prices are also very fair!

When this place opened up it was amazing. Now it's showing it's true colors. It's way over priced and the pizza is just ok. Honestly the pizza place on 116 is overpriced as well but at least their pizza is good.

Delicious! I didn't think I'd like the basil and tomato (because it doesn't have meat!), but it ended being my favorite! All the other slices I tried were yummy too, but that tomato and basil, mm mm good!

Attempted to place an order via Yelp and received an error message. Imagine my surprise when I checked my email the following morning to see "Your order with Rosa Pizzeria of Harlem has been received". Yeah, I was billed for an order that dang purple dinosaur (or was it the hot air balloon?) told me didn't go through. Emailed Yelp to be credited and received no response. Had to open a dispute with credit card for $24.

As a born and raised New Yorker, I am super picky about pizza and Rosa Pizza is EXCELLENT. I had an eggplant parm and fresh mozzarella slices - both absolutely delicious. And the garlic knots were perfect, doughy and super fresh. Absolutely love this place!!

I've been here a few times, the place looks nice and when the weather is warmer they have a nice outside sitting area, but the actual pizza is just ok. It's also a little pricier than some other places in the area.

I think their upside-down Sicilian pizza, which has cheese on the bottom and sauce on the top, may be the best pizza I've ever had.

Wow! Welcome to the neighborhood! You enter a charming cozy spot with a big selection of pizza, calzone and a full menu. The pizza is SUPERB! The crust is perfect. Thick enough, though thinner than many, and crisped perfectly in the brick oven. There is a big selection of toppings. I am excited about the fresh broccoli. The sauce is well seasoned with the right amount of garlic. We have been a few times since they opened and count on many meals there and via delivery.

Am not much into pizza. But my husband who does, convinced me to try and so we did. His take on it was it was very good. As for me yes I agreed that it was yummy and thin crusted as I like it. The place is also nicely interiored with cozy seating. Lighting good and staff attentive enough. Price point is abit on the expensive pizza side though. It would be nice also if they have pizza flavor identifier placed appropriately so takes the guessing and asking game away. I don't mind going back for a quick bite when my hungry tummy calls.
