Rosebar - Review - Dupont Circle - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"Folks are outside and when they are, they don’t mind going to Rosebar. The two-story club in Dupont Circle has an enclosed rooftop off the back of the second floor, which is tiny, but covered in greenery and roses. A neon sign above the stairs reads “bad decisions make better memories,” and the ear-piercing music, barely-lit dance floors, and three free-flowing bars are there to help." - Tristiaña Hinton

I am writing a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your establishment on the night of December 31, 2025 - January 1, 2026. My friends and I were visiting from out of town; we had never been to your venue or even gone out to nightlife in Washington, DC before. While using the restroom, we were abruptly rushed out by some unknown obliterated male patron at your venue. Immediately after leaving the restroom, one member of our group was grabbed and pushed multiple times by a security guard, without any warning, explanation, or reasonable cause. This physical contact was unwarranted and aggressive. We attempted to communicate and understand what was happening, but no one on staff was willing to listen or provide clarification, ultimately forcing us all out of the establishment and threatening us. We were left feeling shaken, unsafe, and disrespected. We did not come to your venue expecting conflict, and we most certainly did not expect to be physically assaulted. The lack of accountability and refusal to acknowledge our concerns only made the situation more traumatizing. This experience has made it clear to us that guest safety is not being prioritized, especially for women. No guest should fear for their safety in your establishment, and no security staff should be permitted to physically engage with patrons without cause.

On Monday Dec 15 I was injured at this establishment and have been trying to recover my incident report and have been completely negligeted by the owner Oscar. He claimed (and I have it in a recording) that I would be receiving my incident report and the footage of their negligence so I can pursue all avenues available to me however it has been a week and I have heard nothing. I will amend this if the respond but want to warn people how dangerous this place is, I have not been able to walk for a week.

After a month of not hearing from anybody I am forced to write this review. After a night out I realized that I was charged the incorrect amount. I did my due diligence and reached out to them. After a few emails a copy of my receipt was provided that stated a different amount than what I was charged. The bartender added a $100 tip to the amount I tipped. Keep in my gratuity was already included and I tipped an additional amount which was then entered incorrectly to reflect an additional $100. I reached out to the manager and was assured it will be investigated and the charge will be corrected while they continue their investigation. 6 weeks later and I have not receive any form of communication. This goes beyond the money at this point it is the principle. I wonder how many people they have done this too and ignored just like me.

First of all I want to thank nathienal and the other security that was front door Sunday at 12am . I lost my debit card and a girl took my card and wasted 110 dollars at rosebar. One I let the security know they helped me find the women and she paid me back. I want to thank the guys at the front for this. This was incredibly amazing and I thank u guys a lot. I will most definitely check u guys out.

Came in town for the Steelers game. The people at the door were charging $20 cash $30 cash app?? The security upstairs were rude! I had to pay $310 just to sit down! Smh The bartender was beautiful and very nice! Our server was also pretty and very attentive! So the service from them was 5 stars! But they are making tips so of course it was! The DJ was just ok. My friend fell and injured her ankle. The floor looks flat from the seated area! And she fell off the step smh. They gave her a scarf to wrap it. There should be a caution, or yellow on the floor indicating the step! We asked for a manager and it took almost 45 minutes to get one. Asked for an incident report, we got the run around. 🙄

Google
We had tickets to the day party on a Saturday from 4pm - 9pm. When we got there, they were closed. The least they could’ve done was let people know.

To keep it short, I was allowed in after showing paperwork for JiJi (management said it was cool)then later my group was being hassle for not buying anything when one of them was in the middle of doing so. After said incident i was pulled to the side by the gentleman who was hassling and told to leave by "management". No argument there because it was pretty dry to start and the mood wasn't there for me after being come at in such a matter. I got a comment about not going there so I'm not one to tell you what to do but beware of potential haters I guess🤷‍♀️.

Yelp
I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred at Rose Bar on Saturday, November 1st, around 11:48 PM on the second-floor bar (where DJ Ratchet was performing). There were two bartenders working at that time. The bartender in question was not the Asian woman, but rather a woman who appeared to be mixed with Black and White. Her behavior toward me and my husband was extremely unprofessional, inappropriate, and disrespectful. From the moment I approached the bar, she was unfriendly, dismissive, and gave me dirty looks. She then made a highly inappropriate comment toward my husband, stating that she was "out of strawberry Hennessy but sweet enough for him," and later propositioned him for sex in exchange for money. I ordered two drinks -- a Jolly Rancher and a Long Island. My drink had no alcohol in it, despite costing nearly $50 for both drinks. When my husband returned the drink to the bar and mentioned that it lacked alcohol, the bartender laughed and called me a "bitch." This experience left me deeply uncomfortable and disrespected, especially as a married woman. It is unacceptable for staff to engage in such inappropriate and sexually suggestive behavior toward customers. The bartender's actions made me feel unsafe and completely unwelcome, and I will not return to Rose Bar as a result. I am requesting that this matter be investigated immediately and that appropriate action be taken against the bartender involved. I also recommend that management review its employee conduct policies and sexual harassment training to ensure all patrons are treated with dignity and respect. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I am available to provide additional details if needed. Date of Incident: Saturday, November 1st Time: Approximately 11:48 PM Location: Second-Floor Bar (where DJ Ratchet was performing)

Yelp
Rosebar is definitely aesthetically pleasing and the djs are dope. The issue here is the bartenders. They all look the same (light skinned, long black hair, and fake lashes) and all have the same stank ass attitude. Like they aren't on the clock to work. Maybe give them a class on smiling and turning up with the crowd because that's what they should be doing. I used to bartend and I've never had the attitude that these ladies have. All on their phones just standing around annoyed. Additionally, why don't yall take major credit cards here? No American Express, no discover? That will be the reason I won't be back and if it wasn't free to get in, I definitely would have went to one of the parties next door. Lastly, the girl (dark skinned black girl with braids) that was working the front door on Sunday for the white party is a bitch. And I hate to put it that way but she let us go out with the security standing there because we were coming right back, she said it was cool. We come back and she makes me pay $30 to let my husband back in and was making a big deal, yelling with an attitude. Even though we were just inside and had been told by her and security that we could come back in. It was awful.

Yelp
Rosebar can be a fun time, but their prices can get a little out of hand. For hookah, they require a $120 minimum spend PRIOR to being able to order. For their advertised "open bar" from 10-11pm, their bartender did not honor another drink saying that it was only "one every 15 minutes" when I had only ordered one personally in the 30 minutes I had been here (not that it's outlined anywhere in the RSVP that it's only one drink only 15 minutes). If you're going to have a deal, honor it fully or at the very least be courteous to your customers.

Yelp
I had a good time at this club. It's a good spot to go dancing, drink, and hang out with friends. I also liked the way the place was decorated.

Yelp
Came in on a Monday. The security made it seem like it was popping. So we went in. It was dead. Maybe 6 people there and then a few people rotated in and out. There's two different sections of the place which is upstairs and you have to climb about 30 steps. The first part has seats, a small dance stage, and a bar. It is separated by a small hallway that has bathrooms. In the second room, there is a roped off section with 10ish tables with hookah. There is a bar, another small dance floor and the DJ. The security were lowkey rude. Didn't care for them. The front door lady was chill. The bartenders were mostly just on their phone and had to wave them down to get a drink. The drinks were strong but small. It's cute inside. There's a glass ceiling with hanging (fake?) plants which adds to the ambiance. The strobing lights is a bit much but makes the dance floor more fun. Been here a couple of times before but sorta over it and I think this might be the last time I come thru.

Yelp
No. Just no. I came with some friends to a Sunday "open bar" and open bar is incredibly misleading. First of all, the open bar was only open for an hour, but they didn't let us in until 20 minutes into the hour and didn't extend the time the "open bar" was only well liquor and it had to be mixed drinks and you could only get a drink every 15 minutes. The bartenders were barely doing their jobs. One of them was literally looking at herself in her phone the whole time. Their attitudes weren't great either. All of this was a shame because the space is actually really nice. Inside area and an enclosed outdoor area (complete glass ceiling so you feel like you're outside while being inside). The decor was great as well. Anyway, sadly I wouldn't come back.

Yelp
Soooooo its been a while since ive did a review and sadly i dont have much good to say about this place. I mean it was cute the waitresses were very attentive and that was a plus. But let me tell u about my over all experience. When we got there we had a section however the people paying 20 dollars to her in had no wait. There was only one girl taking money as well as taking you to your section. So you had to wait for her to seat however many parties ahead of you one at a time! It was freezing outside might i add! Next they sat us in a section that had no insulation behind the wall so after being cold outside we were cold inside. I complained to the promoter he admitted it was not insulated. Had we not had that section i may have been able to enjoy myself more but i had my coat covering my legs and frequently moved to the front of the club to get some heat. That was unacceptable and we have opted for a warmer place had we known ahead of time!!! BEWARE!

Yelp
2.5 stars, the bottle girls are all very pleasant and beautiful, the music was amazing, HOWEVER the rules and prices are outrageous. There is a cover at the door if you don't sign up for the event which ranges from 30 to 35 depending on how you pay, You have to pay for water which was 10 dollars. The most basic drink is about 20. Unless you're coming with a promoter or have a section (idk the price range for that) be prepared to spend a bit much. Staff were all great! I just don't agree with the way management is running things.

Yelp
- good party on a Sunday afternoon im told it gets good around 8/9 pm - there was barely anyone in there between 5p-7p on an 80 degree Sunday. - $20 for women, $30 for guys - $80 hookah the madness needs to stop - with so few patrons, the bartenders were hella attentive

Yelp
PLENTY OF REASONS FOR YOU TO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE: I wanted to celebrate my birthday by visiting a club. Walking by this place around 10pm, I figured this was a place to visit due to the line and music heard from outside. While standing in line to get in, I saw a group of women trying to pay by card to get in. The rude young woman who worked there said to them "yall just said y'all wanted to pay with cash, now you switching it to card?" She rolled her eyes and walked away. A few seconds later the male security guard, with an attitude, said they are not able to enter the establishment any longer. While I was inside the establishment, the floor was dirty and sticky, the servers and bartenders take their sweet time with bringing your card and drink back to the table. They would rather spend time taking videos for Instagram and twerking than being proactive. Also, money is not a problem for me but a $65 shot of Don Julio is insane. During the night, they presented a sign that said "2 bottles, 20 N**gas." IT DOES NOT GET MORE UNPROFESSIONAL THAN THAT. That is textbook unprofessionalism. Can people enjoy their time out without being accosted and shamed because they wanna spend what THEY want to spend? Also, I just went and saw a picture on their Instagram and it appears this place is blatant colorist towards women as well. They only hire bottle girls that are racially ambiguous women who are "white-passing" or lightskin. Why aren't any women of darker complexion hired or being promoted on your flyers and establishment? This is NOT the best place in DC to go clubbing. Not even in the top 10. NOT the best on Connecticut Ave. NOT a place to be if you are trying to enjoy a night out, unless you like being overcharged and rude staff. The owner(s), staff, and promotors need to take a class on how to run a business properly because this AINT IT! Do better. Below are the pictures I got and you can take this and make your own opinions.

Yelp
I went here with a few friends!! It was a cool vibe on a Friday evening. The drinks are not too expensive and the bathrooms are clean!!

Yelp
Ambience is decent & nice. Music & energy was a vibe. Staff was NOT on same page. Favored to certain groups of individuals. Owner was rude. My party had questions due to staff telling everyone something different. Owner did NOT present himself kindly. I honestly would NOT willingly go back unless begged by for a friend bday or special event. Personally any owner of an establishment I believe should be more respectful any circumstance & take pride on staff being all on one accord.

Yelp
I came on Saturday for the day party. They had an open bar which was nice. It's really pretty on the patio area. There wasn't that many people there but the dj was good and they had Air Conditioning which I notice a lot of places don't have lol.

Yelp
On Sunday, May 26th, Rosebar hosted an Afro-Caribbean event starting at 4pm. There was a long line waiting to get in, we were in there at 4:45pm. The security and hostesses were absolutely rude and weren't allowing us in the time that was posted on the flyer. It was scorching outside, why would you have people waiting outside past the time of entry? One of hostess were so rude saying, "what do you all expect is summer, yall can stand there! " Unprofessional staff and security does not make me feel welcomed or safe. I would not recommend this place to anyone. NEVER AGAIN! When we finally got inside there was no Afro-Caribbean music....my friends left immediately.

Yelp
The worst first experience of nightclubs . I went here for my birthday and honestly I couldn't have picked a worse bar. First off the bouncer was super dismissive acting like we were annoying. I already think cover charges are ridiculous, $20 just to go inside is insane but I know it's normal. So we go in, me, a light skin and my two white friends. Already people were looking at us sideways. One of my friends got us a seat at the benches but then a worker had us move to another seat. We're sitting there, wondering how we order hookah, etc etc. No signs or anything explaining it. Then this other worker comes over and just gestures at us to get up with a mean looking face, and forced us into the velvet rope area of the bar which made us squeeze between two groups of people and squashed. No explaining how to get a seat properly, or anything. And then we got three drinks that were EXTREMELY small, and $70!! People kept looking at us like we didn't belong, we were super uncomfortable, the music sounded the same so we just left. You want a good time go to Decades that's like three doors down. Soooo much better. Nicer people, better vibe, everything.
google avatar

Jett M.

Yelp
My favorite club in dc. Tuesday is the best night for sure. It is expensive and probably confusing for people that don't get a table. Would recommend bottle service as that is the expectation and what is catered to.
google avatar

Tasha B.

Yelp
Nice bar club atmosphere. They have ongoing events on Eventbrite where if you RSVP you can gain free entry before a certain time, if not the cover was $20 on the Saturday night I visited. The bouncers didn't give us any issues with entry especially since we were soo close to the RSVP cutoff time. You go in, up a flight of stairs and enter a bar area with dance floor and a DJ. Past the bathrooms is another dance area which gets filled pretty quickly. It can get pretty hot up there. I visited during an unusually warm winter night and was starting to get hot before it became really crowded. They sell hookah, but it looked as if you had to have a table reserved in order to get one. Drinks were good. I had a good time overall.

Dylan R.

Yelp
Cover is not worth it at all. Drinks are insanely expensive. I went on a Friday night and it was dead.
google avatar

Shante D.

Yelp
If you're looking for a good time in DC Rosebar is definitely the place to be. They have done some remodeling and the feel of the place is super cute and chic as well as grown and sexy. The bottle girls and bartenders are usually pretty busy because the lounge is always packed, but I get the best service from the bartender Bsweets. I will say though, Rosebar is not a place to go if you are on a budget. Definitely more bottle service friendly. So that's something to keep in mind if you're not wanting to spend a lot of money.

Calla T.

Yelp
The service from the bartenders sucks ass. This place is only good for music and drinks, but a BOTTLE OF WATER IS $10!!!!!!!!!!!!! So basically only music??? Who would even pay to come here. They have free open bar every Thursday, but the bartenders are so rude and make the drinks so watered down and sugary you can have 15 drinks and only high blood sugar by 11:30. I don't know who made the rule of "only mixed drink for open bar" but the mixed drinks have less than 1% of alcohol. The drink is literally just juice and a good strong drink will run you $30-40. Go somewhere else before you give these people any of your time or energy.
google avatar

Tosha S.

Yelp
It's a very nice space but not all that big. It's long but not very wide so once it's really packed you can't walk very far. Definitely no dedicated space to dance. Unless you have VIP you aren't sitting. The VIP space looked just as cramped though for what they were charging. The DJs were great! The bar tenders won't let you lean on the bar so wear your comfortable shoes if you don't have a section. It didn't seem particularly upscale to me, just overpriced. You're going to pay $10 for a beer and about $24 for a shot. Security is everywhere taking up space. My absolute biggest complaint is the smell though. When you first walk up the main area literally smells like a toilet. Once ppl start opening and closing the bathroom doors the urine smell gets worse. I walked to the other room further back and it was fine. Came back to the front was and was immediately gagged. I can't promise I'll be back.

Peroline L.

Yelp
I have a question more so than a review. To review briefly, this is not even one of the best lounges on Connecticut Ave not to mention NW. The floor was dirty 2 of the 3 times I was there and it is mostly empty -which forced us to go party across the street. The drinks prices are obscene but that's every club/lounge on Connecticut and they charge you an automatic 18% gratuity fee. Now back to my question. I have noticed they favor a certain clientele, especially when it comes to women. Which was triggered right now when I just saw their post on IG promoting their bottle girls. There is not a single bottle girl in their employment who would not pass the paper bag test. Not ONE. And anyone on the darker spectrum gets placed in the back. Why?? Management should really review their entire business/hiring practice as it ends up trickling down to their customers.
google avatar

Shenice H.

Yelp
My friends got a section for my birthday. I enjoyed myself while hanging with my crew but if you are 30 and older this is not the spot for you. I didn't make the plans so I enjoyed myself nonetheless. The younger crew was out of control there! We definitely didn't act like that when we were younger. lol
google avatar

Danecia J.

Yelp
I came to this bar with my boyfriend to grab some drinks. It was Sunday so it was pretty slow, probably like 20 people inside tops, but that was fine. The problem is the bartenders attitude. If we're the only people walking up to the empty bar, look up from your phone. Say hi. Say something. The music is blaring and I don't know your name. Just be attentive to your customers. I had to wave in her face to get her to look up from her phone to provide customer service and she had a problem with that. Two shots of Tito's is $50 btw. So I recommend pregaming beforehand and just come for the music. And then when her coworker arrived, I saw her basically tell her that I was tripping. This seems like a dope spot but I hate going out to have a good time and experiencing nasty vibes.

Devin B.

Yelp
Sept 1st 2023 (Friday night) 1st Time Experience Usually ignorant people getting high and drunk can ruin your night but in this case it was the Rosebar employees The bouncers harassed us multiple times for standing to close to an exit or entrance (one of the two). The first time they spoke to me I didn't have a problem because they're just doing their job, but the 4th and 5th time I considered it harassment. I asked the bartender for a cup of water with no ice. She told me no and said I can purchase bottled water. I should have asked for her manager. I've been to plenty of bars/clubs nobody has ever told me I can't get a cup of faucet water. The final straw was close to closing time. As I'm leaning on the bar another staff member comes close to me. He taps me with rag, I step over and watch him while he wipes the the excess liquid off the bar. As I'm watching him I'm wondering why he didn't tell/ask me to move....instead of touching me with a sanitation object as if he was trying to punk me He and I were the same size but I decided not to hurt him at that moment although I really wanted to, I think I handled it correctly I won't say don't come here, but it you do keep it short On a positive note...the DJ that night was great

Yelp
Entry: I reserved tickets through their eventbrite link. Arrived around 10:50 pm (free entry before 11) otherwise $20 entry. (Bouncers asked to see the pdf of the ticket, not the screen shot of the QR code). Bouncers were friendly and my group went through the line without a hitch. Bouncers did enforce the dress code, so some guests in line were turned away. Interior: Main level is up a flight of stairs. Bar area with roped off tables and small area to dance. Rooftop: Walk past the bathrooms to another short set of stairs and you're at the rooftop. Walls are covered in faux red roses (nice touch). DJ booth. Decent size dance floor. Plenty of vip tables. I went during the "heat wave in DC" night so the outdoor fans weren't dong much plus the crowd kept growing and body heat was everywhere! Bartenders/drinks: Bartenders/table girls are a plenty wearing red lace teddy. Drinks were strong (not watered down) and prices comparable to DC drinks. RB also provided a water dispenser and cups at one end of the bar (yeah!). I did have an issue with my bar tab/drinks which I contacted RB and sent an email *11 days after, issue still not resolved, disputing with my credit card company. Bathroom/bouncers: Several bathrooms (4?) with a roped off bathroom line. Staff directed and even brought waters for the ladies waiting in line (kuddos!). - hookah = $100 tab minimum + $60 hookah - automatic service charge (18%) when you close your tab - though weather did contribute to everyone inside being super sweaty and uncomfortable, I did not notice any air conditioning even in the interior/main level (yikes!)

Yelp
Our final Sibling Stop for the night got recalucated & we ended up here, so my Brother could meet some of his fellow football buddies. As the seasoned one of the crew, I had slight hesitation especially on a Friday night & eyeing the young crowd that was sashsaying their way inside. The Bouncers & Security guys were friendly giants who escorted us in. The venue has an upscale effect, the main area being your typical bar/lounge setting with a small VIP area, then leading to the back area extending to more space & another VIP area. As perceived it was a 21 to early 30ish crowd that was in command. The gorgeous & amazing Jordan - VIP/Bottle Service Specialist, led us to our designated area. She made sure that MK aka the Den Mother for the evening, was taking care of over the next hour. Cool points to the young & flashy crew next to me who was cordial with my space, yet surely had no restraints partying in the paint. As I casually sipped on my glass of wine, made no effort to blend in, I sat on the back out the couch & people watched. I also got a free light/sparkle show each time someone requested bottle service...happened pretty frequent. To date, I still can't fathom someone spending x-amount of money on a single bottle of libations that has been marked up 10x over. Our 1 hour turned into another & that's when the level of partying increase to the 10th power, thank goodness for that little red velvet rope. Celebrity Nod: had it not been for the 3 lovely ladies asking if I was French (I called him France until my ManBaby corrected me the next day) Montana's Mother, I would have never known he was my VIP neighbor...what a pleasant & humble young man. I'm all about reunions, yet if I received any indication beforehand that this was going to be like my college clubbing days , MK would have stayed at the previous location. However, I could possibly return for a private event or even Happy Hour. For all the Young & Fabulous club goers, Rose Bar is the place to be, & do ask for Jordan as her top shelf & A+ service made my unexpected nightclub experience a content & bearable one. I actually became more excited upon leaving when I saw I could get a Vegan Pizza from next door to take home. :-)

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere great music bottle servir was flashy and customized with letter boards. The section was kinda small for the amount paid but the experience was chill.

Yelp
I was not impressed and I hate anywhere they serve your drinks in small plastic clear cups filled with ice for over 13 bucks. I can't believe John Wall stayed in here all the time. It's a crampy overpriced " club" with fake vines hanging from the wall.

Yelp
Rosebar is great, friendly and always a vibe. Not for cheap folks. AB is a great bartender . Hookah is delicious

This restaurant is extremely dirty. Walked in with my girls and were met with rude bouncers. We paid and came inside and saw roaches and dirt.

Yelp
This lounge was so lit, I'll definitely come back, the drinks are pricey but it's good. I'm going back next Friday....

Yelp
We were hesitant to come here due to the varying reviews but we had a good time! I will say we are in our early 20s so I believe the crowd is more so for 26 and under. It was chaotic but in a good way LOL! Overall a very good time!

Yelp
I just read some of the other reviews of Rosebar Lounge and saw that there were other reviews about the venue opening up 20 minutes late for open bar. The venue was supposed to open at 10pm for a 1 hour long open bar and did not open until nearly 10:20pm. I wish I would I have read those before I attended. This is clearly not a one time thing. This is the young lady who had a similar experience as I did. https://www.yelp.com/biz/rosebar-lounge-washington?hrid=0CPeCh9Nzxq8I_mk620jtQ&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct)

Yelp
Bottle girl was clearly drunk and belligerent to the point where she kept purposely bumping into multiple people, then had the NERVE to have "security" put people out...a new manager is LONG overdue, as she did nothing to rectify the situation, but then again, she did look like she could be the bottle girls mother ...the place is slowly dying, I and a group of friends visit every year and this place is off the list!!

Yelp
I took a wekend trip to DC and somehow ended up at this club late night. The line was long but it moved quickly. There's a section in the front with a bar but the party is really in the back section. It's a small club and very hot but I had so much fun! The DJ did his thing. Reminded me of partying back home in NJ and made me super homesick lol. My bartender must have been on one cause the drinks were my kind of strength. It's so pretty at night. They opened up the roof and it's lined with flowers. I would definitely come back here. Adding to my favorites!

Yelp
This place showed me to stay my 30+ yr old self in my place. My sisters and I came. Paid our entry fee walked up those stairs looked around... Hated it... paid 43 dollars for two shots. I went to the bathroom came out inquired about the section. Which was little more than a wooden pew with a small table in front of it. was told that joke of a section was 2000 and left. lol there is no way.

Yelp
This place is alright. It's either hella packed or hella empty. Friday nights are a bust. We stayed cus we like the bartender. (The bald guy) his name escapes me now (I'll edit it if o remember it). Anyway, if you don't like this place there are other places nearby you can go to. Especially is they charge $20 for mediocre.

Yelp
My girlfriends were groped by the bouncer and by groped I mean he checked under her size 32A titties for who knows what you could even hide there. We were charged $20 to get in when others in the club got in for free. Drinks were weak and expensive. We wanted to smoke hookah and were denied even though we had the money to pay for it.

Yelp
The rosebar has specials some days that allow for customers to get free drinks from 4pm-5pm if they pre-register a ticket. While this seems like a steal, the drinks they serve are only tequila and vodka mixed with juice and nothing else. The liquor they use is bottom, bottom, BOTTOM shelf. I've gone to this event now twice and have gotten incredibly sick off of 1-2 drinks. To be totally honest, I wouldn't say the free drinks are worth it. I do however, love the aesthetic of the outdoor part of rose bar. There are fans to keep customers cool, black plastic roses that line the walls, and VIP hookah tables all along the wall. The bartenders wear bring neon leotards, are very friendly, and there are enough of them to get a drink when you need. The bouncers are also very friendly. In general, this is a nice spot to come to if you're in the area.

Yelp
Over priced. It was almost comical how overly priced it was lol. The service was mediocre. And the way I was looked at because I questioned the bill (still payed and tipped) was also nothing short of disrespectful.

Yelp
Very nice venue. Arrived at 12:30am. It was very hot this night inside. Took a while to cool down but at least it did after 1 hour. Females were worried about their faces melting. Just have to go one level up to get to the main lounge about 20 steps. Hold on to the rails coming down after a night of drinking. At the end of the night I noticed they had a in-wall photobooth. That definitely makes this lounge stand out especially with me being in the photo booth business. I didn't receive 1 out of 2 of the pictures emailed bcz I'm pretty sure I was too tipsy & misspelled my long email on the touch screen. Wish they had it to wear you can text message as an additional option. About 5 gender neutral restrooms and someone was there to guide when the next restroom was available so it made the line go fast. Overall really venue. Looks renovated recently too.

Yelp
They call DC Chocolate City for a reason and rose bar is like a box of assorted chocolate. Any flavor you like ... you will see there. Great music, the dj is always jamming the best of the best. The drinks are strong and the security is on point. Definitely a place to stop by while in DC. Thank me later

Yelp
I took my cousin to Rosebar to celebrate her birthday and that was a HUGE mistake. First, the establishment over-charged my card and WOULD NOT refund the difference. They charged me $50 MORE than the price we were quoted. THEN they sandwiched our party of 5 IN BETWEEN two parties of 15. Only two people from my crew could sit down at one time. The hookah sucks. AND the most DISTURBING part is their beverage display. The club places OPEN containers of juice at each table BEFORE the party arrives. This is HAZARDOUS because people are standing/dancing around these UNATTENDED drinks all night. Someone could easily spike the juice and NO ONE would notice and there's no telling how long it's been sitting by the time the buying customer arrives. They should know better. As much money as we spent (over $700) the quality of service and space accommodations should have been better. But clearly they are in the business of taking money and caring little about the people they entertain. Establishments like this should be shutdown

Yelp
The music was good. There was a $20 cover to get in and a shot of Jack Daniels was $13. It was really crowded and the layout doesn't really provide you an option to get out of the way. There was a fight. I probably wouldn't go back, I prefer more of a lounge scene.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Last night was my first and last experience at this place. The bouncers were extremely rude and the security inside were extremely rude - they were cursing and raising their voices for absolutely no reason at all. Any dispute raised with them results in disrespect. I'm very disappointed because the decor is beautiful and it really is a nice venue, but I witnessed some of the most unprofessional behavior I've ever seen in this city after living here for four years. I will not be coming back.

Yelp
In the days when Current was Dragonfly, they had a roll that was obsessed with: The Olga Roll. When Dragonfly shut down a few years back, I was tortured with the thought that I may never have my marinated shiitake, smoked salmon and crunchy goodness every again. That is, until I found out that they were keeping their sushi chefs! Hip, hip, hooray! I must admit however, that although the sushi is very tasty it's definitely overpriced. One tuna and avocado roll ran my girlfriend $7.00 last night after happy hour. For a trendy little spot, Current has some great happy hour deals. $4 Rolls: Salmon avocado Spicy tuna Yellowtail w/scallions $5 Beer & Martinis $6 Wine Otherwise, you will be looking to spend $12-$13 on their gourmet signature cocktails and martinis. I can hate on the price, but I must admit I've had some pretty mean cocktails here. I heard that the general concept of the Current was to model it off a yacht, with the upstairs lounge area being the top deck. The little square windows on the floor upstairs, allow you to peer through the moving water and take a blurry glance downstairs. Everything is clear, white and/or very modern. A little advice: *Be careful walking down the stairs - they are clear, thin, and long so it's a little hard to tell where one step begins and where the other ends. *If taking a trip to the upstairs bathroom, make sure that you properly lock the door. It's a see through door, that fogs up when it locks. Some people are confused by this concept and sit on the toilet while others watch. Don't be that person.
