I first had Roseline when I moved to Portland 3.5 years ago at the Good Coffee a few blocks from this location, and was super impressed with their roasts. In fact, while I was excited for Good when they started using their own roasts, I was sad to see them stop using Roseline.
I walk past this location in the Goat Blocks pretty regularly, so when I saw the Roseline logo in the window (almost a year ago?), I was excited, and definitely got more excited as I saw activity pick up and work occurring in the space (I mean, kraft paper is only so exciting).
Noticed they were open earlier this week, and I've stopped in twice now. They've been empty both times (the weather hasn't helped their case). The space is super well lit, and there's a ton of seating - a large community table that seats 12 or so, a half dozen smaller tables along the perimeter, and a bar along the western window. Pretty spartan look with all light colored woods and black legs, to the point of feeling sterile when it's empty.
I've only gotten to-go Americano's in my own container, the first time their Catapult blend (which is one of the roasts I use at home) and the second the Shantawene, both of which have been excellent.
Definitely a welcome addition to the Goat Blocks, and a shop I'll likely add to my rotation.
