"After a blurry Saturday night involving increasingly questionable espresso martinis at Balboa, Cow Hollow revelers can be found recovering at Rose’s Cafe. The all-day spot on Union is best known for its life-reviving brunch—mimosas, plenty of bacon, and no judgment for wearing sunglasses indoors. Focus on the crisp breakfast pizzas topped with eggs or smoked salmon, or the tarragon chicken sausage over a buttery mound of grits. It’s not the best brunch in the city, but it’s certainly a great option for the neighborhood. Plus, there’s a dog-friendly patio if any pets want to tag along. photo credit: Gaby Esensten photo credit: Gaby Esensten photo credit: Gaby Esensten" - Julia Chen
"Rose’s, the home of an always-reliable weekday brunch, has dishes like breakfast pizza with ham, fontina, and eggs, or French toast bread pudding with caramelized apples and whipped cream. Pull up a seat at one of the sidewalk tables or step inside the cozy dining room." - Lauren Saria, Dianne de Guzman, Paolo Bicchieri
"Rose’s Cafe in Cow Hollow has tons of outdoor seating and a breakfast pizza with lox that makes it 75% easier for us to get out of bed in the morning. So it’s a great place to come by on a weekday morning while you kick back with some coffee and pretend your to-do list doesn’t exist." - julia chen 1
"Rose’s Cafe is that perfect neighborhood atmosphere you're seeking out: buzzy-but-relaxing daytime brunch vibes everyone craves come Saturday morning." - Dianne de Guzman, Eater Staff
"Rose’s Cafe feels like a breakfast spot that was pulled straight out of the ’90s with its bright yellow walls and colored glass chandeliers, and it’s the best place to eat a sit-down breakfast in the neighborhood. We love the smoked salmon breakfast pizza with soft-scrambled eggs and creme fraiche that you’ll end up waiting in line for unless you’re one of those people who can actually wake up when you’re supposed to. But everything here is worth it and that time spent in line will give you the opportunity to unsubscribe from all of those shopping sites you haven’t used in five years." - taylor abrams, will kamensky
