We hadn't intended to visit the space that was Rose's Daughter as we originally planned to go to another spot for my birthday celebration that we found out was closed. However, upon realizing that the back patio from the alleyway we were on was open and sounded lively, we pivoted to the back entrance. That pivot was a great decision as we enjoyed a wonderful few hours knocking back cocktails, dining on some food, and enjoying ourselves immensely.
As we entered, we saw there were some tables available that should be able to accommodate the 12 of us. When I reached the front of the restaurant at the greeting desk, I asked one of the servers if I could obtain a table for a large party. That server summoned the manager, and when I said I needed a party for 12 people and had no reservation (this was around 8:30 PM, mind you), she said, "Let me see what I can do. I think we can accommodate." And to my surprise and pleasure, she and her staff brought some tables together that we saw on the back patio and seated us within a few minutes.
From there, it was nothing but great times. The Valerie Rosella -- comprising Gin Lane 1751 'Victoria Pink Gin,' St. Germain, Fresh Lime, and Rose -- was fabulous. We loved the walls painted with various artistic imagery and portraits, as we enjoyed items like lamb meatballs and other assorted pasta dishes. The espresso martini went so well with the gluten-free triple chocolate mousse cake, as was the tiramisu that my wife ordered. The server was great and made sure we had everything we needed. It was boisterous and fun, and we certainly will return to try more items on the menu.
Rose's Daughter was an excellent experience for all of us.
