Rosetta Bakery - Review - Buckhead - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"This bakery chain from Miami has its first location in Atlanta (specifically Buckhead). Their menu has sandwiches, pizza, pastries, and cakes, but they specialize in everything focaccia, and that's what we're most excited to try. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Juli Horsford

We tried 2 pastries, a pizza and a sandwich. Overall review is that the presentation, the aesthetics and open layout get 5 stars. The food not so much. I found that the food lacked flavor and looked “tastier “ than it actually was. For me personally the pizza was too much bread

My wife and I came for a late lunch and we found the service pretty good, the food extraordinarily average, and the decor pleasant but not at all reminiscent of anything Italian. The sandwiches we got were barely 3 out of 5 stars. I got a mortadella panino that had no extra love at all. In Italy this sandwich is extremely common but there we would have had fresh ricotta, a few shakes of pecorino cheese, salt and pepper and a drizzle of pistachio cream. My was as dull and plain as they come. My wife’s turkey and cheese was literally slightly below the quality and quantity of the exact same sandwich from Jersey Mike’s. We sampled 3-4 desserts and found them rated a B/B- at best. Just ok but nothing even remotely memorable. The decor was modern farmhouse pleasant but evoked nothing Italian. No tri colors, flags, maps, jugs of wine, blocks of cheese or even cheesy Italian slogans on rustic wooden signs. I would have been happy to see the ever present poster of the leaning tower of Pisa but no such luck. Overall we spent $65 which was not commensurate with the food quality. To top it off we parked in the deck for one hour and got charged $20. Addio amichi, we will not be returning.

We went to Rosetta on a sudden whim, and it looks more beautiful in-person than photos could ever capture. This Miami-based, social media-adored venue captured our hearts as well. Nestled in the same star-studded Buckhead Plaza occupied by some of Atlanta’s Crown Jewels (Delbar, The Garden Room, Atlas, etc.), Rosetta faces a lush courtyard vibrant with flowers, people (perhaps doing yoga on Saturday mornings), and sunshine. The bakery is really quite expensive, and unfortunately, neither the taste nor size of the baked goods justifies the tall prices. But it is worth giving this experience at least one try, as seen by how many people are always populating this venue - and rightfully so. The unparalleled ambiance of this crowded bakery comes from it being gilded in shiny decor, shrouded in warm lighting, filled with sleek - yet comfortable - furniture, and surrounded by glass-paned goodie displays and views into the bakery itself. After trying the Fruit Tart, Filled Croissant, and Millefoglie, they seem to use the same delicious, not-too-sweet, egg-based creme, so some variety in the fillings would have been more intriguing. Nonetheless, this creme itself was spectacular in the (decently priced) croissant! The Margherita was also delicious and hearty. Next time, we plan to try alternative items (maybe lemon- or chocolate-based) to test out other flavor profiles among their bakery selection. Would recommend paying this place a quick visit if in the area!

This is a wonderful European-style bakery. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes every visit a pleasure. The baked goods are always high quality. I live nearby and have been a regular guest since they opened. The location is also a big plus—it’s situated in a plaza with plenty of seating and a pleasant ambiance.

Went to Rosetta Bakery in Buckhead which recently opened (about 2 months ago). The environment is sleek, modern, clean, but not much seating inside. The food selection is on one side and beverage on the other. We were greeted as soon as we went in and a gentleman helped us and explained the dessert options within 5 minutes. We selected 3 desserts (Nutella croissant, a small cake, and a pistachio chocolate tart) and matcha lattes. I felt the price was a bit high for the dessert portion compared to other places I go to in Atlanta but the beverage prices were about the same as other places. This is in Buckhead so I wasn't surprised by the portion to price ratio. The Nutella croissant was as expected: flaky and the filling tasted exactly like Nutella. The cake was a bit dry and not rich in chocolate flavor as hoped. Honestly wouldn't get it again. The best of the three was the pistachio chocolate tart. It was the perfect combination of sweet and nutty. The shell was crispy as hoped and the filling was smooth in texture. Truly amazing dessert. The item that was a pleasant surprise was the hot matcha lattes! The latte was creamy, frothy, and sweet! I'm not a huge matcha fan but this latte made me one! A must try! The store didn't have many places to sit for more than 2-3 people. We didn't have a hard time finding seats but I would imagine it would be during a busy weekend or evening time. A heads up, a lot of the menu items online aren't onsite in the bakery so call ahead if you are expecting to try something based on their online menu. Don't want to be disappointed or angry if it isn't in-house. I was informed by the gentleman that helped serve us that since they recently opened, they plan on rotating desserts and food options as they can't have all options available so also be prepared for options to change. He did say that you could call ahead and ask or order whole cakes in advance if desired. They do not have cake slices on site mostly deli-like sandwiches, pizza, croissants, tarts, mini cakes, and beverages. The bakery also doesn't use real plates and forks. They use wooden recyclables (environment friendly). You do have the option to have your coffee beverage in a to-go cup or if eating in-house in real cups.

Lovely decor and very lively. Everything here is very fresh and you can watch it be made. Food was good. My only complaint was that the coffee bar is a little bit of a mess to order from because you can order in two places which makes it confusing. The seating was limited so it felt like a fight for seats. My pizza was only warm not hot because the toaster oven was crowded with other peoples orders . Overall a beautiful place to relax and drink coffee but I think the rain caused a lot of commotion. Will Be back to see if it is the same experience

Yelp
Love it love it love it! Beautiful bakery with plenty of sweet and savory breakfast options outside of the American eggs and bacon. Love the "open kitchen" concept LOVE the freshly squeezed OJ. Makes me really feel like I'm in Europe And love the friendly service as well!

Yelp
Located in a great area for exploring shops & restaurants. No free parking anywhere, so be prepared to pay $8/hr. The space of the bakery itself is light, modern and welcoming with all of the sandwiches and pastries beautifully on display. We got about 6 of the mini pastries (2 bites max each) & 2 margarita pizza squares and a sfogliatella. Shockingly the total was $65! They were mid not great and definitely did not live up to the price point. The pizza was a 5"x5" square maybe and $9 each. Tasted okay but for sure not a $9 slice. $4 would be a stretch. The sfogliatella was stale and unpleasant. Definitely day old pastries. Service was excellent, friendly and efficient. I might stop by if in the neighborhood again to give it a second try, but would definitely not go out of my way to return. The price point is not inline with the taste or portion size. Disappointing.

Yelp
Walking into the bakery is like being back in Europe. The desserts all look amazing. Staff is pleasant and friendly, willing to give me a few suggestions. Husband picked out a pistachio cannoli, daughter picked a mini apple tart, and i got a dessert, maybe the Sfoglia, a new dessert that I never seen in my life that is crunchy on the outside and creamy soft on the inside. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I would come here each day if I lived in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Yummy baked goods :) pizza is served on focaccia bread. Croissant was HUGR, fluffy, and filled with strawberry jam. It hit the savory and sweet cravings for sure.

Yelp
This bakery absolutely reminds me of being in Europe. The selection of pastry, coffees, and sandwiches is beautiful. We tried tarts, puffs, croissants, and cookies. Everything was amazing. There was a great variety of fresh fruit and nut items. The pastry cream was perfect. Staff is super friendly. Seating area is bright and cheerful.

Yelp
Cute new bakery in buckhead! Has a bunch of sandwiches, pastries and coffee. There's seating inside and out. They validate parking for the deck nearby as well.

Yelp
Very underwhelming. The mortadella sandwich was dry and stale. Everything was just meh. Won't be going back.

Yelp
Fast and kind service. This place opened last week and has plenty of seating inside and outside. We loved the matcha with almond milk, the curcuma, and tomato focaccia. We split a ton of deserts as well. I'd come back here and visit with folks to share some food. Food tasted fresh. Coffee was solid, clean and polished!

Yelp
Latest coffee and pastry spot in Buckhead and it's pretty good. Italian bakery charm with a modern twist.

Yelp
Attractive bakery and friendly staff . A bit pricy but the location necessitates that . Veggie sandwich was good and the baguette sandwich was decent . Didn't try the desserts but they look beautiful . Would certainly try next time I'm at Buckhead Plaza .

Yelp
Pastries are amazing. The store is beautiful and clean. Just happened upon this lovely new bakery. Staff is so nice. I hope this business does well.

Yelp
The food is good but there are flies all over the food. I mentioned it to one of the workers and they pretended to go to the back to get another sandwich (which is an open kitchen) and brought back the same one. For such an expensive sandwich they should not have them out during summer time.

Yelp
Visited here for the first time a few days ago. Amazing atmosphere, location, and great food. We got the caprese sandwhich with ham. It was 10/10. The matcha latte was also amazing. I was a little concerned when they only had vanilla flavoring but it did not need any at all! I will be coming back for sure!

Yelp
We have been to the locations in Florida. We were always hoping that they open one near us. Well, there it is, they are open in heart of Buckhead with beautiful setting both inside and out. Excellent sandwiches, pastries, and of course coffee. We have tried their sandwiches, coffees and pastries. They are all outstanding. Javica has an amazing personality and great customer service making sure everyone is take care of prompt.
