Chrissy's Pizza Review - Bushwick - New York - The Infatuation

"Note: Chrissy's Pizza has moved into the old Superiority Burger space at 430 E 9th Street. Read our new review . Some of the best pizza in Brooklyn is currently being made in an “off-brand home oven” in Bushwick. To get it, you’ll need to follow on Instagram, wait for them to release some pickup dates, then turn on your notifications so you can slide into their DMs the moment orders go live. You might have to wait three weeks to actually eat that pizza, but we promise, it’s worth it. The crust is impossibly crisp, the sauce is rich and sweet, and the cheese ratio is ideal. There’s also some secret ingredient that gives this pizza a little something extra. Love? Magic? You’ll have to try it for yourself. " - Carina Finn

Strongly reminds me of a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza but in a good way (when you’re in the mood for that). The roasted eggplant and zucchini on top of the veg pizza are a perfect texture. Wish it was less oily but slaps regardless. Sliced tavern style

Absolute garbage! How did they get a good rating??? I love trying new pizza spots all over the city .so I saw this place on the slice app and took a chance on a 14 inch peperoni with spicy seppressota and burrata .what I got was a joke of a pizza ...tiny round pie cut into SQUARES?? Who does this? And let's talk about how soggy it was..falls apart when u pick up a slice !! And the taste was eh at best...avoid this lemon!! You been warned!

During our visit to NYC from Florida, we stumbled upon this fantastic pizza place, and we couldn't be happier! The service here is exceptional; the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. It's rare to encounter such good-hearted people, especially in a bustling city like New York. The pizza? Amazing! Each bite was bursting with flavor—definitely some of the best we've had. This place isn't just about great food; it's about creating a memorable experience. If you're looking for delicious pizza and a friendly atmosphere, this is the spot to visit. Highly recommend it!

I love Rosie Pizza, I’ve been going with my girlfriend for about a year and it never lets me down. If you are looking for a chill, fun and delicious pizza day, this is the spot for you. Brandi and Val were our fantastic host/bartenders who gave us an amazing experience and some pickled Ricks(ask your nearest bartender). Enjoy and remember to look for the condiments and water on the wall, as well as the mini GAMES!

Google
Their unique pizzas are crazy DELICIOUS!! It also has a cool ambiance, staff is pretty chill, accommodating and friendly! Their beers on tap are good as well as their whiskey!! Would give it 10 ⭐️ if I could! Hope to go back real soon!!!

Google
We just had a 6 night break in NY based in Brooklyn. We ate here on our first night and ate there another 2 out of the futher 6 nights. Great craic, amazing Italian food even without the legendary Giulio Adriani rubber stamped NY style pizza available. Great beer selection, attentive staff and generally a lovely intimate venue. Will go again. Thanks everyone involved for creating and pursuing this establishment. See you again sometime!

Never really been there in person but always order on Uber eats never fails.. it’s so good highly recommend the truth or dare and Ostia !

Google
Have your expectations set: this is not a pizza spot so much as a bar that serves pizza, as the name says. They serve good pizza that’s great to have while drinking. Appears to be Greek style. I wish they had a bigger draft selection!

Google
Sat at the bar with some friends for a drink and quick bite. The place is small but was pretty full of people on a Sunday evening. Their menu is written on the wall and full of really good options. I would definitely go back to try more food and stay for a longer meal. The bartender was nice and the atmosphere was cool. We’ll def be back! PS if you were the dude at the corner of the bar listening to the story of why I quit my job, like this review if you would’ve quit too hahaha

Yelp
I came here after some late night bar hopping, and it was the perfect way to end the night. We were able to order at the front immediately after deciding our orders, and there wasn't too long of a wait for the pizzas. I ordered the 10" Fancy pizza, and the burrata perfectly complemented the sauce and chewy yet crispy dough. This pizza was so good, I ate it again a few days later.

Yelp
Avoid this place. It's WAY too expensive to be this inconsistent. We've ordered from here twice. The first time because they have ground beef as a topping which most places in NYC do not. We ordered a pizza and the apparently epic fries and a side of ranch. After over an hour, the pizza arrive and was surprisingly OK. While the beef was not seasoned and had no flavor, the pizza otherwise was decent. It reminded us of pizza from the south and Midwest where we are from. They forgot the ranch and the fries were possibly as good as people described them but they forgot the $3 side of ranch. Tonight we gave them a second chance. Knowing that we didn't like the beef we just stuck to the toppings we liked from the last time which were shiitake mushrooms and pepperoni. The pizza again arrived an hour later but this time was completely inedible. The pizza this time was cold and congealed. The quality was completely subpar compared to our previous experience. This was not the same cheese and was low quality badly tasting cheese. The mushrooms were old and undercooked and could not be chewed thru. The crust tasted old and stale as if it had been precooked and sitting around. The truffle fires were not that same at all and had a chopped up vegetable on top and have clearly been made hours in advance and were sitting around. They were so hard that you could not bite thru them. They did however remember the ranch that I paid for last time and they forgot. I guess this ranch was $6. It's unfortunate that they are so inconsistent. With unusually late hours, they had the potential to be a late night go to. However, with tonight's 9pm order costing me $40 for medium sized pizza and fries that ended up in the trash, this will absolutely be our last order from this establishment.

Yelp
Delivery driver arrived without the pizza (shop didn't make it)! From a pizza shop! At least I got my $32 San Pellegrino ha. Called the shop and they refused to redeliver because I was out of radius? Said they would cancel. Really odd place.

Yelp
I was in a hurry and i wanted to grab a quick bite! This pizza bar is great and there's seating inside and in front! You can help yourself to water while you wait! The menu is above the bar and the pizza was great! I ordered a plain cheese slice! It's cut up in half so you can eat some now and the rest later!

Yelp
I came here with my friend on a Wednesday night around 6pm. There were quite a few tables when we arrived, but by the time we left around 7, the place was packed. We split the arugula salad and the 14" Rosie pizza (/sautéed eggplant with cherry tomatoes, N'duja sausage, ricotta, tomatoes sauce, mozzarella & scallion). Both were wonderful, and the pizza was so big that we ended up taking home about half. Great food, service, and ambiance. I would definitely come back here again and again.

Yelp
One of my favorite pizza spots in Bushwick. I love ordering takeout, but it's also fun to dine in. They're open late and have a bar as well. Their pizza flavor combinations are fun and unique. I love getting the "Rosie" which is one of their signatures and apparently won the Las Vegas pizza expo. It has eggplants sautéed in cherry tomato sauce, mozzarella, spicy sausage, ricotta cheese, scallions, and Parmesan cheese. So unique and delicious! Note: if ordering online, I think you can only order full pizzas. If you go in store they have several types of flavors you can order by the slice.

Yelp
Have ordered on Uber Eats 3 times now but have not been in to eat yet. Each time I've ordered something different to try their specialties. Can safely say this pizza is all delicious. Had the devils pie, cheeseburger pizza (yum af) & the Monnalizza. All of them cooked perfectly and super tasty. I would only say if you like spicy to make sure to have your own pepper flakes. These pizzas tend to lean towards sweet. Got fries on my last order and they were some of the best fries i've had. Every fry was cooked perfectly. I read someone else's review that talked about how the fries were perfect for the person who loves both soft and the crunchy fries - they're right. Don't have pics bc they were all devoured too quickly.
google avatar

Alex T.

Yelp
Rosie makes some delicious pan pizzas! Fresh ingredients, creative ingredients, and you get a lot of pizza for the price. It can take a while for your pizza to come out of the oven, but if you keep that in mind you'll really enjoy dinner at Rosie Pizza Bar.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
A little expensive but worth it for when you want a good personal pie with great toppings. I ordered the fancy and truth or dare today and would definitely come back to try some other pieces. The tomato sauce on the fancy has good pepper flavor within it. For those who can't handle heat don't worry the truth or dare isn't really spicy.

Yelp
I ordered in a 10 inch regular cheese pizza with a side of hot honey to drizzle and an order of mac and cheese balls. This was my first time eating from here and it will absolutely not be the last. The pizza was incredible. Not NY style, but a pan pizza with a crust that is fluffy, perfectly crisped, yet soft. The cheese and sauce were a perfect ratio and the hot honey was a perfect accompaniment. But really, that crust was the star, just perfect. The mac and cheese balls were probably the best ones I've had, fresh and moist with a hint of bacon. They didn't taste like they came from a frozen bag like most places. Delivery was quick too!

Yelp
this place is a gem great food great people great atmosphere did I mention great food and must try for anyone visiting the Bushwick area of Brooklyn?

Yelp
This review is for the truffle fries. P sure they were the best fries I've ever had, ever. Top 3 for sure. Generally speaking, I'm the person that goes for the crispiest fries in the basket, the ones that are low key oil holders. Idk what the technical term is, IYKYK. At Rosie, there was no hunting and pecking for the crispy ones. Each fry was consistently good: dense yet crispy and light, and oily but not greasy. Good flavor, "russety" but i did not verify the potato type. 10/10 recommend the fries. Oh, and I'm also generally a mayo/aioli person but the ketchup was perfect with these fries. Pizza was aight, not gonna be everyones cup of tea. Barkeep and server were sweet, friendly, and helpful. I went on a Tuesday around 6pm, sat outside, music decent, vibes were chill.
google avatar

Kami S.

Yelp
I love this pizza. They have a kinda Detroit style, pizza hut-ish pan fried crust but in the best possible way! I love the Fancy, the Truth or Dare and one time we made our own with mushrooms and bacon. I get delivery once in a while and the only draw back is it's really slow and sometimes a little cold. But the pizza is still delicious even cold, hahahahaha!
google avatar

Carly L.

Yelp
Great casual pizza spot with a nice selection of drinks! Highly recommend the Truffy if you're a fan of that funky truffle taste. The pepe la pew was okay, definitely preferred the Truffy. Crusts were slightly thicker than expected but the pizzas were still solid!
google avatar

Junior T.

Yelp
Hands down one of my new favorite pizza places! These aren't NY slices, but more like the midwest bar thick crust pizzas that remind me grad school in Indiana. Went here on a date and shared a eggplant pizza and it was AMAZING. Like a real upscale Pizza Hut? I'm taking Pizza Hut when you're at kid in the 80s, except they serve local craft beer and wine. The staff really takes care of you too! The bartenders/servers looked at for us and gave some excellent recommendations. I'd totally throw a pizza birthday party here or at least get take out and scarf a pie in the park. Thanks Rosie!!
google avatar

Leslie L.

Yelp
Pizza is tasty, but it's not worth the higher price tag. It reminds me of Pizza Hut, but a bit more upscale.

Yelp
Seriously, the most underrated, hidden gem in Bushwick and probably the best pizza in NYC! Food/Drinks: Here's your order the next time you're at Rosie's - 14' Ostia and/or Truffy, both topped with hot honey. The flavor in both of these pies dissolves so elegantly in your mouth met with the crust - so perfectly charred and crispy. If you have room for dessert, the Tiramisu is super well-balanced! They have (what it feels like) an endless list of cocktails, draft/bottled beers, and wines, which is good for any type of occasion or mood that you're in. Service: Every time we walk in, we are greeted by the amazing bartenders. They are always super attentive and kind. The food is served very timely (~10-15 minutes depending on what you order). Ambiance: Perfect space for any occasion - date, catch-up with friends, celebration, solo date etc. I would say it is a family friendly spot during the day and a good hangout spot in the evening. They are open till 4am so you can begin or end your night here! Rosie's is nice and cozy with roughly 5-6 tables and stools at the bar.

Yelp
Hi, I wanted to write because I really loved your place! The pizza was great, we loved that even though there was a mix up with the order that it was quickly adjusted. The drinks were good. It took us a long time to get our order in at the bar, we chalked it up to maybe they were waiting to see if we knew what we wanted to order. My friends and I found it last night while celebrating my partner's birthday. Towards the end of the night Carlos came over and it felt like he harassed us for tips. Carlos stated that it is "NY Culture that if you go out its expected of people to tip". Our group was not against tipping, as some folks had already tipped. There is a right and wrong way to ask for tips. It also didn't help that we were the only black/spanish group and he repeatedly came to our table. He even went as far as to show what people did pay. At the end my friend gave an additional $30 tip when we wanted to give more, and order more. I say this to say that you are new, this spot is dope but maybe be more mindful. To be honest we felt disrespected, and we really wanted this to be our new after hours pizza spot, and would obviously tip since we now know this spot. I would love to give you 5 stars, because literally everything else was good!

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food here. I got the truth or dare, which is bacon pineapple and jalapeño. My bf got the chicken sandwich. We both really enjoyed everything but our order was incorrect in pizza size. You have to order at the bar and they bring the food out to you. It's quite a small inside area but is a very cozy vibe.

Yelp
We were a big fan of Archie's pizza and was bummed it shut down. We were excited to find out a new pizza place would open at the same location and since a lot of the previous employees had returned, we thought the pizza would be similar. So when my husband and I came to the grand opening in July, we didn't initially enjoy the pizza, but we knew they were crazy busy so we wanted to give them some time before returning and leaving a review. We finally decided to order a large pepperoni on a Saturday night for pick up. It was ready in 20 minutes. I'm happy to say that it's very similar to Archie's. They cut the pizza in small squares (St Louis style) so it's great if you have to share with some friends. Pepperoni curled perfectly and just a right amount of cheese. I wish it was a little most saucey, but still very good. Overall I'll definitely order again! Will be my go to neighborhood pizza place again. Also, here was my initial review from the grand opening glad I gave them a 2nd chance. https://cherneleatspizza.com/2021/07/08/72-rosie-pizzabar/

Yelp
first place I visited when I moved to bushwick over a year ago and rosie has yet to let me down. such good vibes, good drinks, INCREDIBLE pizza -- specificallly Ostia & devil pie. Omg honorable mention for mac n cheese balls and arugula salad. I'm so serious I've never had a bad meal here trivia on Monday nights too!

Yelp
I'm obsessed with Rosie's pizza bar. The pizza is so good. If you're wondering why it tastes familiar, it's because it tastes like an upscale Pizza Hut. But in no way is that a knock against Rosie's we eat here all the time. Many inventive topping combinations. You can also buy a slice, but at the price point you might as well buy the whole pizza. The burrata is excellent as well. So are the meatballs. There really is nothing to complain about here. Maybe the size of the establishment, but that's not their fault. Just saying, it could be crowded during peak times. And why shouldn't it be? It's amazing. Great bar as well. I wish they had a non alcoholic beer but what can you do? Diet Coke it is.
google avatar

Laura Jean O.

Yelp
I am still confused why they cut pies like this. A lot of pieces ends up with a nibble of cheese and all bread. I pray this trend doesn't catch to other places because it could destroy relationships. You can find much better pizza but I gave it a 4 because of the Pizza Hut taste nostalgia. Not burnt as I read others have experienced with delivery but very greasy (obviously pepperoni culprit but be warned if you're doing any meat topping pies) .

Chloe T.

Yelp
One of my favorite Pizza spots in brooklyn! The Fancy is always a hit same with the devil pie... oh and the fried mac n cheese balls !
google avatar

Al S.

Yelp
I've only had take out from Rosie's but every single time it's consistently delicious I can't praise it enough. Delivery is literally always on time perfectly, and due to my proximity it's always about a half an hour or less to my door. Their namesake Rosie pizza is deliciously smoky, spicy, and cheesy, their eggplant sandwich is gigantic and flavorful, their truffle fries are very much truffly, and I'm going to have to try some more things considering I like those items so much. There is something very special about the dough used for the pizza: it's so light and airy, yet still a good chewy; the polar opposite of dense and totally unique in itself. I love this place and thank god for it existing on nights I work late and don't get a chance to eat til late

Alex W.

Yelp
BEST pizza in Brooklyn! This was the 1st & last stop we ate before heading back home. It was so delish that we had to come back!! The Truffy is the best pizza I had in my life! Tim who was working there is very friendly. He remembered I shared that I'm a truffle lover and gave me extra truffle oil on the side for my pizza both visits. Thanks Tim & we hope to be back!!
google avatar

Antonella W.

Yelp
Placed an order on Uber Eats for the 4th time. Today I decided to phone in for additional dressing since there wasn't a notes section to write it in on my order. Their Caesar salad is packed with a bunch of large inconsistent pieces of chopped romaine lettuce. The extra dressing will be pictured below. You can be the judge. Grilled Chicken is extremely dry and tastes frozen. I also ordered my usual Pepe Le Pew pizza which for the second time arrived burnt and dry. For the pricing I expect consistency and this restaurant doesn't offer that. $20 10" burnt pizza with inedible crust that taste burnt ? I phoned in to share my dissatisfaction and wasn't offered any solutions. Definitely not ordering again. There are plenty of amazing pizza shops around!
google avatar

Matteo B.

Yelp
We are an Italian and a Spanish couple on vacations around NYC and our only regret is that we discovered this place the very last day by chance! The pizza is the one a New Yorker could expect, but with a touch of current Italian style . The dough is very good and I did not have any problem to digest it (I usually have). Good ingredients I'd say! People and music are laid back and friendly, surely more than what you could find in manhattan! I also tried a cocktail and I'd say it's approved (at least for my taste), and the music is right to take a drink or two! Service really good, if I only knew that the blondie owner was Italian I'd had a little chat with him . We surely come more if we come back to NYC in the future, kudos

Estee A.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor, get a personal pie, not single cheese slices. They melted more cheese on questionably old slices for me. Sad cause I had a slice of my friend's person pie with olives and artichokes- both veggies which I avoid eating- and it was lovely! I'm sure the personal pizza's are sensational but sadly my two forlorn slices left a lot to be desired. I even asked for pesto on it and was given a ramekin of pesto on the side, why? It's a topping for my pizza, not a dip.

Cheyenne W.

Yelp
Intimate space with a fun vibe, affordable cocktails and yummy pizza! Bartenders have always been kind too.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Chill and cozy vibes at Rosie's. Came here for lunch on a Friday and shared pepperoni pizza with friends. We didn't have to wait long and the pizza was fresh, delicious and hot. I love the style of how they cut the pizza into square pieces which makes its easy to share.

Helen E.

Yelp
First time unordered delivery had the pasta meatballs and fried Mac soo delicious deep flavor will be dining in soon. The food surprised me I didn't expect it to be that delicious . Very nice will be going back to try the pizzas next time

Joseph L.

Yelp
A disgrace to pizza and over priced. Soggy. Floppy. Thick crust. Bad ingredients. Not cooked at a high enough temperature. Overall wtf
google avatar

Evelyn L.

Yelp
Found this place on google after date night with hubby and a couple of drinks. Pizza is my favorite after drinking. The menu straight off the back caught my eye. A pizza called Devil. Had everything except feta or ricotta. Lol. Everything else was a dream. I was expecting to see pizza in a window that they had to re heat etc. no! It's an actual bar. Staff was very helpful and patient. I had a drink I waited for the pizza. Ordered the 10" Devil which was good for myself and hubby. He's not a pizza person he had one slice. I had 2 and took the rest home. While on the way home he said that pizza was really good. That's impressive to hear especially for him. He normally wouldn't even try it. My opinion is that this pizza was absolutely DELICIOUS! Coming back for ladies night. Kuddos to the owner. Sorry didn't take any pictures.

Andrew E.

Yelp
Delivery always takes too long and food comes cold. Pizza is delicious but only when warm and ordered at the restaurant.

Johnathan G.

Yelp
My girlfriend raves about this place so we decided to order in tonight. Well it was a massive fail. She says the food is great if you dine in but I'm good. The pizza was absolutely burned, dry, and the pepperonis were hard. The Lasagna was old and dry and the bottom was completely hard and solid just a greasy mess. Waste of 40 bucks.

Taylor J.

Yelp
Mid pizza overpriced and they lie and say it's really big and it's not. No flavor in pizza. Prob caters to the yt ppl the most.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Such unique pizza options! The monnalizza was perfection with sweet gold tomatoes and mikes hot honey, definitely will be ordering from here again!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
i order from rosie's about 4ish times a month and the za is consistently delicious. i love that they're open late the food reheats well and the specialty pizzas are so so so good!

Noster M.

Yelp
Puerto Rican owned place nd look right past their own. Walked in tried to order but the kid behind the bar was too busy talking to his gringo amigos who came in after me, taking their order. Will never come here again. Was recommended from a friend who is white. Clearly they have a type here. If u are dark skin or brown skin don't come here they don't like their own people.

Allie F.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I bring all of my friends who come from out of town to the Bushwick location. They never disappoint. The larger pizza is cut in square slices, great for sharing.

Modern Real Estate N.

Yelp
So damn good! I got it to go and sat in my car like a really happy fat kid and nearly ate the whole thing. I'm amazed that I found pizza this good in Brooklyn this late at night. Definitely coming back. You should too. It's amazing. I'm looking forward to experiencing it while dining in. The spot is small and cozy. The bartender who took my order was really friendly.

Dan K.

Yelp
Pizza was great and quick - cool bar vibe, with a nice drink selection. Diavola pizza was a great blend of spice and sweet.

Naire J.

Yelp
I can truly say that the pizza I ordered here last week was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. Everything from the crust to the cheese was spot on. The worker who rang me up was also very pleasant, and cracked a few jokes while I waited for my order. The location seemed very clean and pretty hip inside, but I took my order to go. I have only tried the pizza from here but if the rest of their menu items are anything like their pizza, then I will be back many times!
google avatar

Daniella C.

Yelp
My family came here after a long day, place was kids friendly. The pizza and truffle fries were great. The adults had alcoholic drinks, the Bessos Caliente is going to my go to. I loved it. I'd definitely try other drinks but this was well made. Initially when we walked in we weren't greeted and didn't know to seat ourselves. Once we understood the dynamics of the bar it was superb service from there on. We will be going back with the kids.

Anna M.

Yelp
Ordered on Uber eats twice. Messed up my order both times. Completely ignored me the 2nd time but kept my money of course
google avatar

Lesha K.

Yelp
My favorite pizza in the area, it's delicious, it's different. In my opinion it's much better than all these pizzas I've tried in NYC.

Yelp
Great pizza. Good beer selection. I have tried the house pies and custom , very good. Super chill vibes. Recommend!
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Best pizza I've tried in the neighborhood. I typically get the Devil pie, which has a good bit of heat, but everything I've ordered has been on point.
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
I used to live right around the corner from here years ago and would regularly get to go slices or stop in for a beer and a slice after work. After seeing that half of Archie's staff was working at Rosie Pizza Bar I decided to give it a try. This is not the pizza I was looking for. I know they're probably sick of the comparisons, but when you open a pizza place in the same space as a beloved neighborhood institution that also sold pizza what can you expect? Please bring back the Archie's recipe.
