Rosseth is fairly new to the area. At first glance it looks like a coffee shop but it's actually a charming little restaurant serving Breakfast, lunch, & dinner. They even have wine, beer, & low proof cocktails. I stopped in on a Sunday morning to try their signature Café de Olla, which is also available as a latte. The man behind the counter was very nice. As I waited for my beverage, I browsed the menu to make a mental note of what I wanted to come back and try. The Café de Olla did not disappoint. It was nicely balanced with delicate notes of cinnamon. I'm sure it would be even yummier as a latte.
I came back a few weeks later with a friend for lunch. Ricky greeted us and showed us to our table. Isabel took out order and was an absolute doll. We shared the Morning Salad, and I ordered a Cocktail - Highland Park 2 Paris. It was very tasty & refreshing. The salad was delicious - a mixture of Arugula, cherry tomatoes, roasted beets, feta cheese, shallots, roasted sunflower seeds, toasted Farro, tossed in a citrus vinaigrette and topped with a sunny side up egg. Ricky was very attentive to the customers, so I asked him if he was the owner. He told me this place is family owned and the man that just left with his wife & daughter was the owner. He is from Jalisco, Mexico. My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience. This family-owned business is a welcome addition to the neighborhood, and I'm happy to support it.
