Rossi's Ristorante

Can’t go wrong with Rossi’s! Always have to stop with my fam when I’m back visiting NEPA. High quality food, delicious flavors, generous portions, lovely staff :). We always leave happy and full. My personal recommendations are the veal Marsala or shrimp scampi!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The owners have gone out of their way to book large and small venues from class reunions, funeral dinners, birthday parties, and rehearsal parties for me, and the food, and service has been outstanding. Dinners with friends are always good, and the friendliness of the staff gives you a warm and welcoming feeling, where you feel appreciated. Their prices are very reasonable, and I have never been disappointed. Take out is just as good as eating there.

"The good old days are alive and well at Rossi's! Tonight, we ordered takeout from Rossi's, and it was better than ever. The portion of Chicken Parmesan was bigger than ever, and it was so tender I didn't even need a knife. The sauce is semi-sweet and always feels like being at your grandparents' house on Sunday. The side of pasta is a meal in itself, and the side salad is always good. The Chicken Jacquelyn is sautéed with prosciutto ham and finished in a sherry cream sauce. That also comes with what seems like a side of never-ending pasta. Rossi's is a must-visit, but please make reservations or order takeout. Oh, those cutletz!"

Service was very slow and seemed very overwhelmed with the crowd. A friend ordered an espresso martini and was served one filled with coffee grounds - but the staff knew it was the end of their supply. Meals and drinks came out slowly. I waited 5-10 for my food while others ate. Desserts were okay, but if you dont like chocolate then there is nothing for you to enjoy.

Tasty Italian cuisine; large portions, the decor is a bit maximalist with an Italian focus.

The atmosphere is very comfortable and pleasing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food is outstanding.

There was a table of eight of us dinning in for dinner tonight. We arrived at 630 pm and food didn’t come out till 8pm. I am sorry but I have severed at a local diner near where I live. The waiters was very rude when we got there. We asked for certain items that my table did not receive. I don’t care how many tables you have and I don’t care if you’re pregnant. If you’re pregnant then you should take less tables. Drinks were not filled, my fish and sweet potato was cold. Then at the very end she told the folks at my table that she was charging 5$ to someone card because someone didn’t pay the full amount of the tip….trust me I will not be back to your resturaunt. I will see to it that many others know about this as well. I am very surprised that a manager approved of this too. Never was ever told that my card would be charge additional money….this server did not deserve 20 percent tip. If I were to do that where I serve I would get fired. Server needed to be much faster. I would run circles around her. Bye bye!!!!

I have been going to Rossi’s since I was about 6 years old and I love it just as much now as I did then. The quality of the food is unbeatable and the portions are huge too. Their strained red sauce that’s on things like chicken parm and other dishes is literally my favorite red sauce I’ve ever had anywhere.

I eat there regularly and enjoy their specials. Their service is excellent and the portions generous. It's a comfortable setting with a type of old world charm. "Polenta night" is a favorite of mine!

Great food, excellent service and very nice ambiance. It's been a while but I'll be back soon.

We had a party of 8. From the start our server had an attitude. Someone asked for a drink and she snapped "you're going to have to wait I only have two hands". It went downhill from there. Someone asked for ranch (he never got it) another whole meal was cold (sent back a potato for reheating and it came out after the whole tables meal was finished. Our server had to have another person to help get us refills on our drinks. I was being served my meal and while she was trying to put it down she stated "can you move? I can't fit my pregnant belly between the chairs" which wouldn't be an issue but she was very nasty about it. What should've been a nice 1-1/2 hour meal wound up taking over 2-1/2. We had to wait entirely too long or ask for everything. I don't know what was going on, but there is no reason for a server to behave that way to your customers. Also? The food? Nothing to write home about. My husbands angel hair was mush, fish was cold, prime rib was overcooked. Was that because of the kitchen or because our server couldn't find time to get it to us in a reasonable amount of time. At the end of our horrible meal, after everyone but one couple was cashed out, the server stated that she was "gipped" $5 off her mandatory 20% tip. She then proceeded to charge it to the couple that she didn't charge yet. Told them she was adding it to their credit card. Unacceptable behavior. There was a phone call made to management who defended the server. So after all that? You've lost 8 loyal customers as well as the word of mouth to everyone we speak to. Never again.

Terrible food and terrible service. The owner/manager was extremely rude when we tried discussing our many issues with her. She even brought politics into the discussion so you can infer what type of person she is. Skip it. There are much better and better priced options for Italian food in Jessup or Dunmore.

My friend and I ate at Rossi's this week. The atmosphere is lovely. The food is delicious! And the service us great! I highly recommend Rossi's for a delicious meal.

Food is always great, service is great, Italian food is homemade. Always delicious. Relaxed ambiance of this restaurant. We have been here a few times we travel 45 minutes to get here but well worth it.

Another fantastic evening at Rossi. Erica is a super friendly waitress. She took care of the entire birthday party upstairs. If you've never stopped here make it a point they never disappoint. Been coming here for years. A lovely place with great food and service!

Good food. The salad was very fresh. Courteous and friendly service. Very clean including the restrooms.

First time there last night. Great service. The food for me was mixed. The vodka sauce is one of the best I've had and that is high praise from a New Yorker but the pasta was cooked past al dente and that is a crime for Italians. Next time I'll ask them to cook it less. The marsala wine sauce and mushrooms were scrumptious but the chicken breast was overcooked and very chewy in my Chicken Marsala. I will try seafood next time. The salad was yummy. The bread was blah. I was told they had fresh warm bread and that wasn't the case for us. I would say this place has generous portions and I will try again. I live around the corner so I will be back. Very promising and I'd go back just for the excellent service. I want to try more dishes. Pricing is more than fair for what you get.

The food, takeout and dine in, are always phenomenal!! The service left a lot to be desired. We went the other night with a party of 10. The food took awhile to come out which was fine because they make it fresh and it was a large party. The issue came when It took over 45 minutes to get the checks and cash out. They had issues multiple times with them charging my card. After we finally left, i got a call over an hour later at close to 9:30pm with them explaining the computer once again voided the bill for whoever had the bill for $131. Luckily that was me or I'm not sure what they would have done, but i then had to leave from putting my son to sleep again to go get my card to read to them over the phone. The card issue coupled with the slow service left a bad taste in my mouth regarding dining in. I will probably continue to get takeout to avoid the other issues

Great restaurant! Service, atmosphere & good food ! Portions were a nice size! Mostly people go home with leftovers! Drinks were perfect! My one complaint was the stuffed clams they were weird chewy ting pieces of dried out clams in stuffing that was not tasteful!!!! Otherwise we were very happy the tripe, eggplant dishes sauce was great. My espresso martini was perfect !

We have eaten there too many times to count! The food has always been nothing short of fantastic. Karen is a great Hostess (Owner) as well as ALL of the wait staff. If you want a truly GREAT meal this is the place to go. I am very impartial to their Veal Calabrese which is a KILLER dish! If you are in the area give them a try, you won't be disappointed. I would recommend you call for a reservation!

Food was great! Big portions. Server was very attentive. Sauce is great! Restaurant could be noisy if busy.

It was our first time here in several years. We stopped going because the dining room is just awful...way too noisy, cramped, and just an overall unpleasant space. The food was delicious though. We had Pasta Neptune and Lobster Fra Diavolo, and both dinners were very good. I just wish they would update the dining room. We would probably come here weekly if it weren't for the environment. 5 stars for the food, 1 star for ambiance.

Went for the first time and can't say I was impressed with anything other than the ambiance. I ordered the veal Marsala which was overcooked chewy and portioned extremely small after having to wait an hour and a half will not be going back. I stay in Scranton where you can't go wrong with Prontos or Fratellis.

We had an 80th birthday party there recently and it was a perfect evening! Excellent service, food, atmosphere and setup, parking was easy and the prices could not be beat. We highly recommend and would return for future events and meals.

Went here for a birthday celebration in the family and was not disappointed. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because while the ambience was nice and the food was great, the service was okay and it just didn't blow me out of the water. We entered and had a reservation but was met with no one at the door. We waited a while until we were helped. Once we sat down, our server was sweet and helpful with the menu as well as accommodating. We ordered angry clams for an app which was requested but not on the menu and they were accommodating. I personally ordered the Gnocchi with red sauce and it was the best gnocchi I have ever had in my life - no dramatics. Then we ordered a chocolate cake for the birthday girls dessert and that exceeded my expectations as well. As far as the food goes, this place is five stars. The service was good and the ambience was nice, they just had a little housekeeping to take care of.

I was very impressed with the gluten free pasta! Their French martini was fantastic! The dinner came with bread rolls and a huge salad! Their dressing is house made and very good!

It was OK. I expected better. Definitely old school Scranton. The prices were good definitely cannot complain about that. I was really hoping for homemade rice pudding at the end but the rice pudding they had was OK.

Love, love, love. Great Italian food, large portions, great service. Karen is fantastic if you need to plan an event. 10/10.

I will not be ordering from here again. I was a frequent customer here but I cannot give them another chance. They're take out orders are a joke! And I supported them during Covid but cannot continue. Recently I ordered a pizza and Cajun chicken alfredo along with a few other items. The pizza wasn't even cooked and the Alfredo... was missing the alfredo sauce, along with only a few pieces of chicken. I couldn't believe it. I would tell people who are planning to dine here to stay away - there are so many other restaurants that would welcome (and deserve) your business.

BIG portions & Everything I have ever ordered is delicious here but it is LOUD. Have been numerous times & will definitely be back!

These days it's a rare thing to have a seamless restaurant experience but last night we did an order for 7 dinners an the food was fantastic, delicious, hot, ready on time, generously portioned and order all correct. When we picked up the order the dining room was full and staff was busy, but still cheerful and helpful. Well done Rossi's!

Went here for the first time tonight. We ordered the fried raviolis and Ceasar Salad and both were excellent. We order the Cavetelli Rustica and the Tour of Italy. I asked what the soup was that came with the tour of Italy and the older man server stated it was a macaroni and meat soup...also I went to order the penne vodka for my choice under tour of Italy and the older man stated everything comes with it. Just to note, the soup should be explain as meat tortollini in a chicken broth. We were then shown the dessert tray - everything looked wonderful. We ordered a junior cheesecake, a double expresso with black sambucca and a regular coffee. I have to say I was totally amazed that when the regular coffee was brought to the table with cream, the cream curdled instantly. The older man our server brought another cup and new creamer however not sure what he brought the second time as this time we think it may have been heavy cream as when I poured it into the coffee it was so thick and when I show him he got perturbed. If I was to drink this I definitely would have been sick as there was something wrong with the milk/creamers. Possible their refrigeration should be checked and serviced or at bear minimum someone should check dates on milk and creamer products.

Terrible, terrible, terrible soup with homemade cappeletti, pasta was like raw dough. Spaghetti w garlic and oil, garlic was completely raw. Prime rib ok but suspicious of anything over salted Basically food is not edible. No concern about the prices, would decline the food if it FREE.

I never had the opportunity to dine at Rossi's before it burned down years ago (despite growing up down the street from it), but I've been told it was a wonderful place with a great atmosphere. Sadly, this is no longer the case. The dining area in the new building is a expansive room with a high ceiling that causes all the conversations in the room to echo and the noise level is incredibly loud. Consequently, it's very hard to hear the people you're eating with and that is a terrible thing to have in any restaurant, especially an Italian one. I had taken my fiancée there for our first date and after almost 6 and half years, Rossi's is still the noisiest restaurant we've ever eaten in (and that's including packed restaurants in Manhattan around Christmastime). A few days ago, my family and I decided to try Rossi's once again, but order take-out so as to avoid the dining area debacle. Unfortunately, we realized that, despite the reputation that Rossi's has in the valley area, they just don't make delicious food. We ordered veal parmesan and the veal was cooked fine, but it just didn't have exceptional flavor. The sauce was merely okay, but nothing to rave about and certainly nothing to tell friends about. They also give you very, very little sauce for your pasta, which is never good. Frankly, Rossi's food is merely okay and they have been overhyped in the area for far too long. I think what everyone loves about Rossi's is that they give you HUGE portions of food and people like getting more for their money. For me, quality always trumps quantity and Rossi's is just not a place that serves quality food. Couple that with an extremely noisy dining area and Rossi's is definitely a place you should skip.

Amazing qualify of food and GINORMOUS portions. You leave with leftovers for days! I do recommend a reservation, as it's usually a busy place. It's our go to place for birthdays and celebrations.

This was our first visit. Went to celebrate my birthday and it didn't disappoint! From the greeting, to the wait staff and then the incredible food it made my day! Possible best lasagna I've ever had, and I've had allot! Portions are outrageous! We have leftovers for days! (Yea!!!) I'm new to the area and will definitely be a regular! And the value was the final pleasant surprise! Definitely a must try!!!!

During COVID stay at home, they were able to serve takeout.. Pizza, staff and owners were great. LOVE THE PIZZA!

Been there again. Food was fantastic and the time taken between each course was perfect....so was the service

Have not been to Rossi's for several years since I moved out of the area. What used to be the best veal and chicken parmigiana ended up as a huge disappointment. The breading was soggy, the chicken way over salted and the sauce reminded me and my party of the sauce from a spaghettios can when we were kids. It was strange and a shame since the sauce used on the eggplant rotini was excellent and I expected that same sauce on the parmigiana and the pasta. The homemade gnocchi were good but again ruined by the runny ketchup like marinara sauce. The penne a la vodka sauce was much better. Our server was clearly overwhelmed even though the dining room was only 1/2 full and we had to ask for everything we needed sometimes more than once. I was really looking forward to the dishes that were so good several years ago but I guess things have changed and not for the better at Rossi's.

One of my favorite restaurants. The portions are HUGE! Always leftovers for the next night. The food is DELICIOUS! The house dressing is waaaay better than Olive Garden's. Sooo sooo sooo good!!

We waited an hour and a half for our meals. We had to go someplace and our meals still weren't ready. So we asked for our bill and we didn't have time to wait. Take out orders and customers before us were in and out. Our meals came with salads and Karen the manager said we needed to pay $16.00 for our salads that we ate because we didn't get our meals. She was very rude and inconsiderate.

I used to love this place before they rebuilt. The food portions are still huge which is nice, but the food has never been as good. As for the new building, it is way too loud and always kept like an ice box.

Nice authentic Italian dinners, a small but full bar and pleasant staff. Wednesday nights are polenta night. Get there early (or reserve some) or you'll. miss out!

Love this place. Great pasta. Great service. I do recommend making reservations. Chicken parm could feed a whole family. Place is very clean and nice.

The service was great; there were two waitresses that seemed to be assigned to us, and we wanted for nothing. The Chicken Jacquelyn was very tasty; the chicken was moist and the sauce was yummy. The side of pasta was enormous, however, it was bordering on being mushy and way too salty (I didn't even bring the leftover Home which was enough for another meal.) They offer unlimited salad which was average and bread. Also had a margarita which was okay.

very very slow service. Got takeout and went there when it was suppose to be ready(multiple time occurrence too) and i stood there for a half hour more because they either didn't put the order in or forgot food. We called and kindly told them about it and they didn't offer any help at all. I also stood at the bar waiting to tell someone my name for the take out and the whole staff just ignored me for 10 minutes. Also they do not follow COVID regulations. They had tables of people next to each other. Food is fine but their service and lack of help will keep me from going back

Amazing food! The penne ala vodka is to die for! This is our go-to restaurant for special occasions. It is traditional Italian in that you expect many courses and to be there for a while. Oh, did I mention that their salad is top notch! It's a salad so normally I'd think it's pretty standard but these salads big to differ!

My wife and i were at the restaurant on saterday night we were seated very promptly the restaurant was extremely busy we had placed our order and i had decided to run out for a smoke while waiting for our dinners when i stepped out side it was raining pritty hard the concrete platform was extremely slick and i took a bad fall .i did get hurt pretty badly and i was soken wet due to my injuries i felt sick to my stomic so i really could not eat my dinner i asked my waitress to pack up my dinner and i told her about this incident she told me should would let managment know .the owner and management walked past me never asked me if i was ok or even did a indecent report i was very upset and extremely disappointed in there handling of there patrons being hurt on there property and or so thay can take corrective action so this never happens to any one else

Always great and their salad dressing is fab. A very good restaurant you won't be disappointed....

This place is great. If you're not good at deciding on just one thing, go for the Italian trio. Great price, and you'll likely be taking a snack home with you for later!

Tonight was my first time at Rossi's even though I grew up here and always heard great things about your restaurant. The entire experience was incredible. The cappelletti soup was great, the salad and dressing were flavorful and the taste of Italy (penne with vodka, chicken parm and cheese ravioli) was downright epic. Not only was the food out of this world, our waitress, Cherilyn, was very friendly, funny, attentive and willing to make our experience much better than it already was. Plus, for all that wine, food, etc, the prices were low and well worth it. Did I mention the restaurant itself is beautiful? Honestly, I cannot wait to come back!

2 hours to have dinner. Service is horrible and the food not much better. Sure you get a pound of pasta and some lettuce but the quality is terrible. I've been there 3 times and figured it couldn't get worse. Wrong! The Linguine and White Clam sauce tasted like New England Clam chowder poured over pasta.
