"Where to go when one of you wants to be a stay-at-home mum and the other has dreams of being a DINK? This Italian spot in Camden where you can awkwardly repeat “we’re fine”, until the waiter brings your mediocre carbonara. What else should you order? Nothing. Don’t be like Maria and Tom, go to one of these spots instead." - rianne shlebak, jake missing

I am not italian but I would risk to say it is authentic italian. Just bought takeaway but personal is very friendly, atmosphere nice and cozy. I orderes a capricciosa, the dough is great, soft, right thickness (thin), chewy (but not too much), nice neutral flavour, natural ingredients, artichokes give a special flavour. Having italian staff and commensals sends a signalnof being authentic.

Amazing place in busy Camden area. Delicious, authentic, italian food. Homie atmosphere provided by lovely manager Anna. Thank you for great time. I had the best lunch with my friend in family environment. You can feel like in Italy:) see you soon

I ordered spaghetti, the taste was okay. But the kids pizza was not worth the money, just only flour. Check your bills carefully. A waitress gave me overpriced bill at first. She went to change it when I asked, but did not apologize to the customer. Won't go back again.

If you want to be insistently badgered with upselling and then witness visible disappointment of the service staff when you don’t want to put any extra Parma ham on a margarita pizza, this is the place for you. Overheard the persistent upselling on other tables too, made the whole experience quite uncomfortable. In addition to this, we were not informed a 12.5% service charge was included on the bill. I’d just appreciate being told it’s included. Can’t fault the food, it was good, but not amazing. The dough was light, ingredients were fresh and the buffala mozzarella was thick and well portioned. That being said, I’ve had better Neapolitan pizza at Paesano’s; and at Paesano’s the food arrives promptly. At Rossopomodoro, the restaurant was one quarter occupied at 16:45, yet 3 pizzas and a pasta still took 30 minutes to arrive at the table. The decor of the restaurant was nothing original and somebody had taken a bite out of the fake lemon plant on our table. The walls were plastered with naff and tacky slogans about Italy; the type you’d find on postcards aimed at tourists like “See Naples and Die” and “Italy is like a dream but you’re awake”. Overall left feeling satisfied at the food, but soured by the service and atmosphere that left a lot to be desired. I’d try somewhere else next time.

Google
Fantastic restaurant Would definitely recommend and will be back myself! Waiter was so lovely, very friendly and helpful. Very speedy service too. We saw online that they offered gluten free options and the GF base was spectacular. I was almost worried that they had actually used a regular base! Really tasty food, packed of flavour and loads of options to choose from.

The restaurant is great. The menu is quite varied and interesting options. The portions are good, and they are generous with the cheese. I ordered pasta carbonara and it was quite salty and peppery, though. Its not cheap and they also included at the end £1 extra that goes to charity, which is great, but they should ask first or advise before charging you without telling you anything. Service was great and the place is big, so we could stay in our table without feeling the urge to leave.

Food was wonderful, the waiting staff was very welcoming and kind and the atmosphere is great especially after a long days walking around Camden. The pizza are so delicious I'm going to miss them heading back to my country. Definitely would recommend 👌🏻

14/09/2024 : 15h30 Before eating here, read my experience. I wished I have read the latest reviews, tbh. 1) Extremely slow service: the restaurant was only 20% full, still we had to wait 45mins to get 1 pizza and 1 panuozzo (which takes almost no time to make). Excuse was: "everyone asked for pizzas instead of pastas. " 2) Asked for a Panuozzo. Parma ham and tomatoes were the real thing. But Cheese on Panuozzo was not mozzarella fior di latte. Had a conversation with manager and pizzaiolo (pizza chef) which both showed a an orange grated solid cheese and advised me this is what they get from the factory. oh well... (check the menu vs. photo attached and take your conclusions) 3) Aperolz spritz was extremely pale, but well done. Portion of aperolz was probably half or ⅔ of what normally is done elsewhere :( 4) The waiter (slim lady with black hair in her 40's) used no words, no 'welcome', nk goodbye: just dropped and removed things in the table in pure silence. We were never ever asked if things were ok during the meal (hence why I had to speak with manager in the end). 4) They added a 12.5% service charge without informing us, to which I asked to be removed. It was accepted and removed. 5) There was a young boy trying to apologise and he was indeed trying to be helpful, but he couldn't do much as there was only one person in the kitchen, manager was inside and half the staff was smoking at the last table in the terrace. It was my first experience at this chain was horrified by this experience. Never again.

Yelp
I've walked by going to the office every time I arrive in Camden and tonight I decided to have dinner as I was craving Italian all day. It was a delight to feel like I was in Italy again even wearing my "Ciao Amore" sweater, Natasha and everyone were so kind. The malenzane parmigiana was delicious and the pizza was to die for. After meeting the staff, including a group of diners from Naples, I am sure this will be my favorite stop every time I'm in town for work. Mille grazie Tutti!

Yelp
We sat outside is in a street on a quieter side. Very friendly service, Jessica was very attentive.

Yelp
Wonderful Italian restaurant in the heart of Camden Town. We stopped in for lunch without a booking and we were able to be seated right away. The chairs were so comfortable we immediately felt at home. We started with Prosecco and Stambecco Spritz. The Prosecco was good, but the Stambecco Spritz was not something I would order again. For appetizers we ordered the Salsiccia Provoletta e Funghi and the Olives. The Salsiccia came with delicious mushrooms and cheese that combined for the most amazing appetizer that was perfectly paired back to the olives. We were off to a wonderful start. For our entrees we ordered the Spaghetti all's Carbonara con Tartufo and the Margherita con Bufala Pizza on gluten free crust. Greg LOVED the spaghetti carbonara, he said it was absolutely smashing. I thought my Margherita pizza was amazing! The gluten free crust really surprised me in how good and crisp it was. We ended lunch with cappuccinos that were delicious. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant including the bathrooms. Definitely a great spot for Italian.

Yelp
We love this place. Great food. Great outdoor seating. Great place to catch your breath.

Yelp
GREAT PIZZA and service at this fun Camden Town place! Pomodoro E Aglietto was absolutely delicious -- thick slabs of fresh flavorful ripe tomatoes are interlaced with slabs of creamy bufalo mozzarella over a bed of spicy rocket greens and basil chiffonad on a crispy whole grain crust oval, with pesto drops surrounding. A perfect cooling dish for summer. Pizza Margherita came with a bright and zingy sauce of San Mariano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil over a crackly crust. DELICIOSO!! Pizza Capriccosa was as delicious, with ham, artichoke hearts, mushrooms and Kalamatas olives. When in Camden Town, do try this place. 5 stars!

Yelp
Loved the food!! Very delicious! Our waitress Jessica was verg nice! Would definitely go again!

Yelp
It's hard to get a good pizza in London but this place does a great job. Loads of gluten-free options including a great pizza. The crust is very thin--cracker-like--and difficult to cut into but the flavor is fantastic. Will be back.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meals tonight. My wife and I had the Carbonara and daughter had the Tofi Pesto. All our meals were really well prepared and full of flavour. Our waiter, Francesco, was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The deserts were excellent. My wife and daughter had the sorbets, lemon and chocolate. I opted for a dish I couldn't pronounce but was described as crunchy chocolate balls with almonds and a Diserono sauce. They bring it to you with a fork and knife but this is a dessert you'll want to pick up and chow down on, it is soooooo good! Over all experience was very good and would definitely recommend this restaurant for its food, service and quality.

Yelp
We had there pizza. It was small, and flavorful. I just think it's over priced for what you get. The ambiance is casual, with a bar if you have to wait to be seated. In Camden Town it's a better pizza than other places we have tried. The staff seemed nice, and attentive. The dishes others had that wasn't pizza seemed ok, but overall on the menu overpriced.

Juna A.

Yelp
We were there today and I think it's the tastiest pizza I ever had! The prices were generally okay (my pizza marinara costs about 6 pound, while the pizza of my accompaniment with pesto and vegetables was about 12 pounds), besides that we noticed on the bill, that one beer is 6.45! That's even more than my whole meal and too expensive! But the waiters were really friendly and the venue is nice too! I think it's also great, that the restaurant has a open kitchen area, so you can see how your food is made. The only other thing I disliked a bit is that they already wrote the 12.5% service charge on the bill, even though I paid even more happily to the good staff, I want to choose myself how much tip I give. The next time I'm in London I'll visit again!

Yelp
The food here is OK. Decent service and nice restaurant but food was OK. I can't say it was anything outstanding and my criteria is that as I write a review I should really start remembering the food and get the urge to go back... But a decent place to visit if you like a nice pizza!

Yelp
The worst exper6of our trip.. If you are from the USA avoid this restaurant. Every Patton was served before us and the wait staff was extremely rude

Yelp
We went to RossoPomodoro in Camden during a large business dinner during a meeting in London. Being Italian this would not have been my first choice but unfortunately we had no voice in it. Service was pretty fast and kind, pizza was decent although I've eaten better ones in the same brand of restaurants in Italy (and even better in many other restaurants in general). Beer selection is poor and limited to some industrial medium-quality italian beers, which is a shame considering what the UK has to offer in this field. I can understand it's an Italian restaurant, but it's not strictly necessary to serve poor beers just to be 100% Italian. Consider it if you badly want to eat a pizza in Camden (especially if you're local or not Italian) otherwise the area has more to offer.

Yelp
Visited here with my brother and sister and had a terrible time. The waitress made us feel so cheap for not ordering any starters. She stood close by our whole meal making us feel uneasy. The food itself wasn't anything special, I had a calzoni and the dough was undercooked I thought. Couldn't wait to leave, would never go back or recommend to anyone!!!

Alex S.

Yelp
Transformed from it's early days, much better than before, no up selling, passionate about the food and much more relaxed. Been twice with work recently and glad to be able to report a turn around.

Yelp
Thank you for a wonderful evening Rossopomodoro. I loved the new menu especially the new choices of toppings on the pizzas and flavours. The 500 calorie pizza was incredible and I loved that the taste or texture wasn't compromised just because it was a healthier option. The Meloncello at the end was the icing on the pizza

Ben M.

Yelp
The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant are nice enough and the waiting staff were all very friendly. However the pasta portions were absolutely minute, they would pass for a starter, not a main meal, especially not an £11 main course. It wasn't like the quality of the food justified the cost either as my pasta was incredibly chewy and I just felt nauseous for about 30 minutes after. Whilst, as I said previously, the service had been good, they started clearing our table before we were finished and tried to take glasses with unfinished drinks which totally rushed us.

Yelp
Generally rossopomodoro pizza is excellent as they use fresh ingredients and skilled pizza makers. I have visited their pizzeria in camden twice and pizza was heavily burned at the bottom which gives it bad taste apart from bein toxic and carcinogenic.

Serach R.

Yelp
We had the cod which was fantastic but not cheap. The service was friendly but they asked us 5 times during the meal whether we wanted anything else or whether the food was ok. As I was on a date this became really annoying! The atmosphere in next to nill- it was a Saturday night but it wasn't busy or atmospheric. Feels a bit like a big cafe. Excellent food but the constant bothering us at dinner and atmosphere let it down.

Mark R.

Yelp
After coming here yesterday with my girlfriend I've decided a take-away is probably the way to go! My pizza was delicious, the crust was amazing and the toppings were all delicious however the same couldn't be said for my female counterpart whose pizza was burnt on the bottom (to the point of a lot of it being inedible), but what she could eat she enjoyed. The main problem I have with this place is the staff who seemed largely disinterested, our waitress didn't check up on us for the entirety of the meal, handed us the dessert menu at the end without asking or even saying a word when dropping it on our table (maybe 'handed' is the wrong word), practically ignoring us when we asked for the bill to then go on to add on the OPTIONAL service charge which she then rounded up to make it easier to split down the middle and then not give our receipts and just dart off straight away. Last but not least, the menu wasn't very helpful and didn't say what size the pizzas generally were or the differences between the normal pizzas and the rest of the items and finally it was practically impossible to spot the vegetarian options without carefully reading every option on the menu... is it that difficult to add the 'V' next to anything that doesn't have meat on?

Yelp
I really enjoyed Rossopomodoro! The food was excellent and the service was really good as well. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I loved the fusillo pasta and the calda calda desert was soo good! I would definitely recommend it! Well done guys
