The 17 Best Restaurants In Sun Valley

"Roundhouse is where your friends who don't actually ski will be hanging out, three martinis deep by the time you get off the lift. Located halfway up Bald Mountain at a cool 7,700 feet, the Roundhouse is only accessible by chairlift or skis. Assuming you have a reservation or are willing to wait, you can dine by the fire in this Austrian-inspired chalet, built in 1939, while enjoying views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Go for the famous fondue, which comes in small blue cast-iron pots with all kinds of dipping options, like bread, potatoes, grapes, sausage, and apples. The truffle fries, lobster rolls, and Cubano sandwiches are also solid. " - hayden seder

We ate lunch here on Sunday when we were skiing. We had a reservation, but it still took us some time to get seated we first started with some truffle french fries, they were very good, but they were very strong on the truffle. we then got served our fondue, which came with 3 times less the amount of cheese than my expectations it was delicious, and the cheese was great. On the downside, they gave us grapes and apples with our fondues, which was unexpected. We then got tea and the cups were not even clean the bottom part of the cup was not cleaned and overall it was not a great experience way overpriced for portions 2.5/5

Had an excellent experience here! Definitely more of a tourist attraction but worth it. The food was amazing. Our waiter Terry was great. He recommended an excellent spread and was knowledgeable about everything. Highly recommend visiting here!

when you pay this amount of $, you expect everything to be perfect... was far from being the case. portions of fondue are mega small, they come with grapes, apple, pickles and bread (bread being the only thing that "belongs" in a fondue). I come from Switzerland, and over there we cut all the crap that is cheap and doesn't fill you up.. just give us enough cheese to fill you up so you don't feel ripped off. the supper veggie salad for 25$ is nothing but green salad, the dishes are not clean properly.... and cherry on top, the don't offer any dessert. not my best pick for sun valley.

We had a very enjoyable experience at the Round House. The staff was efficient, and the view as we relaxed on the deck was worth what we paid for our lunch. The food in general was perhaps not quite up to the price point, the lemonade, for example, was not very flavorful for this lemonade lover, but I have to say the truffle fries were worth every penny!

We had lunch here on the 3rd. We ordered summer Gazpacho and watermelon caprese. Great food and great service. Glad we were here to explore the mountain and had late lunch. Our server Natalie was great! Definitely will come back in winter!

Easily the most classic restaurant on the mountain. With epic 360 degree views and a history that's beyond compare dating back to the beginning of the resort it's no surprise we had a wonderful time during our stay. Food, drinks, and service are top notch too!

Best view in town and they have food and cold ones. The food was good, and the drinks were cold. They recommended reservations, probably so you didn't get there and be disappointed, but we didn't need them. A great place to get some courage before you sit on the chair lift and go to the top.

Talk about the greatest seat in the house! It was breathtaking sitting out on the patio and the food was just as spectacular! Make sure you call ahead for reservations... although I think you may get in still, it's a gamble. And they close by 3, I think because the gondola stops running by 4.
