Located halfway up Bald Mountain at a cool 7,700 feet, the Roundhouse is only accessible by chairlift or skis. Assuming you have a reservation or are willing to wait, you can dine by the fire in this Austrian-inspired chalet, built in 1939, while enjoying views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Go for the famous fondue, which comes in small blue cast-iron pots with all kinds of dipping options, like bread, potatoes, grapes, sausage, and apples.
