"Rove Kitchen, known for its burger and fried chicken sandwich, has closed indefinitely. The last night in business was January 24, and the restaurant has faced challenges before, including a massive rent hike in 2015." - Caleb Pershan

I think this was the best burger I've ever had. We had a chicken sandwich and a burger. The chicken sandwich was really good but that burger was unreal!!! Very cute place. Expensive but worth it. Our favorite place in SF so far!

$15 burger ! And it wasn't even a big burger! What really pisses me off , is when I go back to Rove the next time it's gonna be a $30 burger because the last time one of those damn deliciousness on a freshly made bun wasn't enough. Great little place with a friendly and helpful employee (Francisco) (yeah I see it considering where the restaurant is located) who answered all my questions about the food and how it was made, which is all bought and made fresh daily. The person who recommended this little place and Francisco both tell me it's the best burger in town, well I don't know about that because I haven't tried every burger in the Bay area, but The Rove burger sure as heck set the bar pretty high! Side note, don't be a little chicken like myself and ask for the carmelized aioli jam onions on the side. Tell them to put on as much as their willing, it was amazing!

Simple, quaint, cozy and exploding with flavor. That's really all that needs to be said about Rove. Like the great hole in the wall restaurants you find throughout the South that focus on few options, but make the options they do have memorable, Rove delivers in the same mouth-watering way.

Fantastic chicken burger and friendly staff. A little on the pricey side, especially the drinks, would go back again!

We shared the chicken sandwich, burger and the grilled cheese. I would have to say the burger was by far one of the best I've ever eaten.

dropped here on a whim when the dinner spot we wanted to go to was too busy. initially we waited by the door but the waiter was kind enough to show us a spot that we could stand out of the cold. menu is very simple and straightforward -- great for people who don't like to make choices! we got the salad, the burger, the chicken sandwich, and the bread pudding! every bite was amazing. the short rib burger was probably one of the best burgers i had ever had, really high quality meat ground at the restaurant. the fried chicken was moist and crispy. the salad had the most amazing pears, creamy feta cheese, and was perfectly balanced in the dressing. the bread pudding with salted caramel and maple cream was literally heaven in my mouth. our total bill came to under $60. highly recommend! we'll be coming back soon (hopefully for brunch next time!).

This tiny spot a little off the beaten path does its limited menu items perfectly. Their fries were the thin type, light and crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. The burger was super juicy and flavorful, and the buns were the perfect soft brioche. Their bread pudding was one of the best I've had, with perfectly moistened bread but still a bit of crunch on the edges, not soggy at all! I enjoyed everything I had here and would definitely go back.

Tasty food in a great atmosphere. The waiters are nice, and the music is good. Also, the fries aren't included with the sandwiches, but you should definitely order them! The burger is one of the best in the city, I think.
