Where to Eat and Drink in Kendall Square

"Just steps from the Kendall T stop, the newer Kendall location of Row 34 opened up in April 2023 and got right to work serving up its fun spins on quintessential seafood dishes. Think squid ink rigatoni, soft shell crab sliders with yuzu aioli, and a bacon cheddar burger with an optional fried oyster add-on." - Celina Colby, Eater Staff

Seafood Destination Row 34 Makes a Splash With Its New Cambridge Restaurant | Eater Boston

"In Kendall Square I found a modern New England seafood restaurant has landed: Row 34, the newest location from owners Jeremy Sewall and Shore Gregory that joins outposts in Boston, Burlington, and Portsmouth, N.H. The menu will feel familiar to regulars, with staples like the sought-after lobster roll, lettuce cups with crispy fried oysters, and a creamy butterscotch pudding for dessert, while chef de cuisine Jason Smith will have latitude to showcase the day’s catch with special crudo and ceviche preparations. The bi-level space includes a 120-seat ground-floor dining room, a basement-level area with a private dining room, and a 40-seat outdoor patio set to open later this year; muralist Silvia López Chavez was commissioned to create two installations based on photographs by Dominic Chavez. Owner Jeremy Sewall says the neighborhood is getting busier and that it felt like the right time to dip their toe into the area; the restaurant debuted on Friday, April 7 and is located at 314 Main Street (reservations available)." - Erika Adams

Little Whale Oyster Bar and Puritan Oyster Bar to Open in 2022 in Boston | Eater Boston

"Opening a fourth location in Kendall Square, this workingman’s oyster bar—originating in Fort Point nearly a decade ago—balances casual post-work drinks with special-occasion meals. The restaurant is known for pristine seafood, an energetic vibe, a creative beer list, and lobster rolls frequently cited among the best in town. Though a past partnership with a local oyster farm split, the relationship endures, and the restaurant continues featuring oysters from the well-regarded supplier. The new spot will serve lunch and dinner daily." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Row 34 to Expand to Cambridge’s Kendall Square | Eater Boston

"A Boston favorite for seafood and beer, I see Row 34 as a modern New England seafood restaurant that highlights local seafood in preparations both highbrow and lower-brow: go all out with a seafood tower (and maybe some caviar) or keep things simpler with fish tacos or fried oysters. It's a mainstay on the Eater 38 and can suit everything from special occasions to an impromptu hang at the bar; whatever the occasion, save room for the butterscotch pudding. Opened in late 2013 in Fort Point under the tagline “a workingman’s oyster bar,” it was the more casual, boisterous sibling to Island Creek Oyster Bar and has long emphasized excellent oysters—particularly Island Creek oysters and the Row 34 variety from Bennett’s Duxbury farm. The brand expanded to Portsmouth (2015) and Burlington, and after a 2021 separation Jeremy Sewall and Shore Gregory have continued operating Row 34 while maintaining a relationship with Skip Bennett and the Island Creek oyster farm family; Sewall also released a cookbook of stories and recipes from the restaurant. A fourth location will open at 314 Main St. in Cambridge’s Kendall Square in fall 2022 and will eventually serve lunch and dinner daily and accommodate private events." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

We came here with a vendor on a work trip and the food was amazing! We got several starters and then each a main dish. The service felt perfectly tailored and the vibes inside were unbeatable. I also loved that they offered a wide selection of tasty mocktails. We each grabbed a little book of matches, which was a fun souvenir. Whether you decided to sit inside or out, you will not be disappointed. I'm traveling to Boston again in a few weeks and will make sure to visit here again!

Google
My husband wanted to taste the viral lobster rolls therefore we decided to stop here after visiting Harvard. Personally, I am not a fan of lobster but wow! Their special lobster roll recipe was amazing! The service was 10/10 Kelly was one of the best servers we have had in a long time. She was extremely informative, attentive, and knowledgeable. We are extremely satisfied with our visit and can’t wait to visit again!

Google
The service at this restaurant was sorely disappointing. For a fine dining experience we were not at all impressed. Our reservation was at 5pm and our table was not ready when we arrived on time, despite the restaurant being practically empty. We also received our appetizers BEFORE our drinks even made it to the table. Our drinks were also left empty for long periods of time and we had to flag down our server to ask for a refill. The chairs are hard and uncomfortable and reminded me of patio furniture. As for food- the rolls we got to start were incredible. We also enjoyed the tuna tartar. The burger was great but the fries which were advertised as “shoestring” were definitely not shoestring. All of the seafood dishes we had were delicious. The tacos had way too much lime on them and were practically sour in flavor. Overall, we would not return or recommend this restaurant because the service and experience did not match up with what we paid. They need to train their front of house staff better.

Google
My compliments to the lady at the bar! She made us feel so welcome. We were waiting for a table, but seemingly hadn't been put on the list. She helped us sort it out. She pointed out the best place to stand as we waited for our table (by the window!), she came over for a quick chat as we waited, we had the best sour beer ever! She really made that night! We did get a table after a short while, to enjoy the best lobster roll!

Google
Awesome for fish n chips, lobster, crispy fish taco...my fav is fish n chips, they serve such a big portion, and a basket full of fries, I can never finish. Two people may share one. Atmosphere is nice, service is good. They hv variety of cocktails too. It's just opposite to Google building adjacent to Kendall square.

Google
Honestly - the food was just okay. Clam chowder was good, but fish tacos were really meh. Service was really good. For the price, Legal Sea Foods across the street is a better choice.

Google
I’ve eaten at Row 34 in Kendall Square twice, and both times were fantastic. This is one of those rare restaurants that feels both comfortable and lively, making it easy to settle in and enjoy a meal without any rush. The food is outstanding and incredibly fresh. On my visits I tried dishes like the fluke ceviche, fish tacos, shrimp pasta, mussels, tuna crudo, and butterscotch pudding—and everything was spot-on. The seafood especially stands out: bright, flavorful, and clearly high-quality. Even the smaller plates, like the oyster sliders and shrimp pimento, are packed with flavor and feel thoughtfully prepared. Service has been consistently attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Both servers I had were helpful and kept things running smoothly, which added to how relaxed and enjoyable the experience felt. Overall, Row 34 is the kind of restaurant you can rely on for both special meals and casual outings. Fresh seafood, great energy, and a comfortable atmosphere—definitely one of my favorite spots in Cambridge.

Google
Truly delicious. It felt like the food magically appeared 30 seconds after I ordered. That’s how quick my plate arrived. Every bite was a flavor-packed masterpiece. Highly recommend for anyone who takes their taste buds seriously. The only thing that gave me pause was the 3.5% “kitchen appreciation fee” for non-tipped staff. It’s supposedly optional and can be taken off if you ask, but it just feels like that cost shouldn’t fall on diners in the first place.

Yelp
It was the first experience for having lobster roll. My choice was totally amazing. So flavorful and bettered bread, fresh lobster. I switched fries to salad which was fresh too. The dream pop cocktail has lime flavored which was amazing. I will be definitely back when I came back to boston.

Yelp
It's sad for me to give this place a subpar rating. We've been to the Seaport location before and we liked it. Same experience didn't repeat here. We were seated indoor. Dark and modern. I actually enjoyed it. The outdoor "patio" wasn't as appealing though. It's nested in the alley where seems service vehicles would pass through. The food was the problem. The oysters from the raw bar were fresh which was good. The lettuce cups with the fried oysters were not. Tiny oyster pieces were drenched in stale oil... The taste was so strong that the lettuce and the pickled vegetables couldn't conceal it. Suggestion, use meatier variety of oysters, less mayo, most importantly, monitor the freshness of the oil in the fryer. Clam chowder - brothy, imbalanced. The bacon was very overpowering. This version of clam chowder is disappointing for customers who are looking for a classic New England clam chowder. Tuna tartare - wow. I couldn't believe that when I was eating this, I was hoping I got Cheesecake Factory instead. I had never had any tuna tartare that was diced so poorly. Not kidding. Check out the picture. It was stringy and tough. Cod fish had a good char. It had a hint of ammonia smell, a borderline food safety concern. Again, we wanted to like this place. We picked this place for a short visit in Boston based on good rating and prior experience. However it didn't impress.

Yelp
Visited this spot with a few friends while I was in Boston--because let's be real, you have to try seafood when you're in the city! And let me just say... it did not disappoint. We pretty much ordered everything and anything, and the standout for me was hands-down the cured salmon from the board. It was silky, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Also--shoutout to the mussels. They were insanely fresh and plump--some of the best I've ever had. If you're coming here, these two items are a must. On the flip side, the crab dip was underwhelming--not nearly as flavorful as I hoped, and honestly not worth the price. Same goes for the uni toast. The uni portion was really small, so the flavor got lost with all the other toppings. Would definitely skip that one next time. If you're going to splurge, go for the oysters and the seafood board--fresh, well-executed, and a great way to experience Boston's seafood scene. Overall, worth the visit if you know what to order!

Yelp
Row 34, Cambridge, MA -- Chowder 1.5 -- cold Lobster roll 1; warm lobster roll 4 -- Atmosphere: 2.5 Chowder came out well after the lobster (waitress didn't fire it) and was thin and bitter /astringent (with sherry?) and came with a homemade flat cracker sticking out of it (why? Don't mess with chowder people! It comes with oyster crackers. Period) Not great at all. TINY lobster roll chopped super fine which doesn't show off the lobster at all. To its credit they had finely chopped celery. But they also added ONION which ruined the roll. I had to swap for the butter poached version which was just lobster and butter (which the waitress and manager did with no issues). Huge portion of shoestring fries subbed for the included chips (at a full order up charge,) very stingy on the nicely tangy coleslaw which was also chopped so fine it was a little unappealing (likely the cheapest thing on the plate - why skimp?) The replacement warm butter roll had better looking meat but was quite boring Not a huge fan of the space which manages to be both minimal industrial and cluttered especially with the huge number of ceiling lights. The chairs are metal outside patio style chairs and add to the visual clutter (and look super uncomfortable.) Service was mediocre (had to flag down waitress twice, didn't fire chowder, didn't refill soda) except when I complained about the disgusting lobster roll which prompted a visit from the manager who was attentive and sympathetic (but nothing comped for the misfired chowder or gross roll). (6/20/25)

Yelp
Clam chowder was excellent as was the lobster bisque. Enjoyable meal! Nice selection of local brews as well.

Yelp
Our first visit to Boston, we checked into our hotel then headed out to Row 34 for a much anticipated seafood dinner. We were staying in Back Bay and we didn't anticipate the amount of traffic but we made our reservation time just a few minutes late. Row 34 was a great spot for our first meal, a large open space that was very comfortable even with a full We started with delicious fresh oysters, clams, and shrimp from the raw bar. Wife ordered the fish tacos which were perfectly fried topped with a sweet and spicy relish. I went with the seafood stew packed with clams, mussels, shrimp in a delicious broth perfectly complimenting the toasty bread perfect for dipping. Service was great, our server guided us through our wine choices and which oyster variety that was the most popular. Overall a great start to our stay here in Boston!

Yelp
Amazing place! Came here straight from the plane to get some nice seafood and we were not disappointed. We had seafood stew, clam chowder, asparagus salad, ceviche, backed oysters. We had some Greek wines which are hard to find, both were great. Service was outstanding, super friendly and attentive. Ambience is very inclusive, you can definitely enjoy a nice romantic dinner or have some beers with your friends. Definitely amazing vibe. Great experience!

Yelp
Enjoyed the atmosphere, an interesting mix of upscale and sports bar seating in a large open area. Good beer list - albeit inaccurate(unfortunately). Quick service, attentive staff, and appreciatively open to my casual attire. Roll was $68(!!!) was good, nice large chunks of lobster, great roll. Was told the lobster is sourced at the owners cousin's place in Maine. The reason I took off - the north end surcharge & seating was tight. The high top row I was at shared a wall with a bench seating on the main dining floor. There was a very enthusiastic guest directly behind me rocking back and forth so aggressively that both I and the couple in the table next to me were jostled and I spilled my drink from being knocked... it was multiple times through my hour there.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant three times. During my last visit, we had to wait 30 minutes even though we had a reservation. The server took our order incorrectly, and we ended up with an entrée we didn't want. Also, the server's recommendation was really off -- we asked for something easy to share, but what we got was the opposite. The raw bar items were fresh and good, but the rest of the dishes were mediocre. Considering how expensive this place is, I have to give it one star, unfortunately.

Yelp
I am torn on how to review Row 34 and want to start with expressing that this is a truly great option if you're looking for good quality seafood within the Kendall Square area. The staff were surperbly friendly, the interior of this location was very spacious - almost too much such that you felt like you were in the lobby of a hotel or corporate building rather than in a cute little seafood restaurant. That all said: Would I blink twice about going again? No, I would definitely come again. Would I host a business meeting here? Definitely, I think they were super accommodating, good quality food and great options. Will this become a regular spot for me? Likely not, a little too pricey and lacking the warm comfort I hope from a local seafood spot. We tried the shellfish tower, which truly was a tower, once it was served I couldn't see my partner's face over the presentation. Honestly I think the full dish could have been one level instead of two making each piece more accessible. The pieces were fresh, raw, un-dressed, and just that. Great for a straightforward seafood experience - nothing fancy if you're looking for a customized take on the creatures. Next we had the brussel sprouts, beets, and french fries. Each of these were your very normal fried accompaniments. Unfortunately the contrast of cold seafood and friend sides made my tummy ultimately turn into a pit, I did appreciate the presentation of each and the overall selection. I wish there were at least some fresh veggie options that offered light warmth to pair better for digestion. For drinks, the cocktails are creative - varied - and overall on the bitter side but delicious. The wine list offers more bottles than wines by the glass and the whites were overall the steely sauvignon blanc style (yes, this does go well with seafood but I'm more of a Sancerre or Chablis person!) Overall definitely worth trying, a bit pricey but super friendly and convenient.

Yelp
Seafood! Yes please! Had a lovely dinner with out of town friends on Sunday night. They were craving delicious seafood so my first thought was Row! It wasn't too crowded so we were quickly seated. We wanted to share some appetizers so decided on the musscles. They have cocktails and beers on tap and a nice variety of their entree and raw bar menu. The musscles were so good! They came towering over a big round bowl and the wine sauce was amazing! I wanted to drink all of it right out of the bowl. The musscles came with crunchy garlicky toasted bread and that was perfection. I decided on the swordfish and everyone else got the seafood stew, the risotto and the spaghetti. Everything looked amazing when it came out and smelled really appetizing. We quickly started devouring our food. Everyone enjoyed their entree so much that they wanted to share and have everyone on the table try a bite! My swordfish was very good but I think I preferred my bf seafood risotto after trying a bite and I'll probably order that next time. It was just nice and creamy and really hit the spot on a cold night. The waitress was very nice and attentive and bonded with one of my friends because a football game was on their TV'S and I guess they were both rooting for the same team. We had a very nice dinner and drinks and they were super impressed with Row and can't wait to come visit and dine here again.

Yelp
We ordered both lobster rolls to share and a clam chowder. Someone posted how chopped up their lobster roll was but ours and about 10 other lobster rolls that went by us were full fledged stuffed with claws and tail pieces that I should have cut myself to bite size! But I didn't! The chips are huge house made and excellent. The chowder was not heavy creamed but flavorful with ham and potatoes. But the ham made it too salty for the person who avoids salt like me. Our server was friendly and checked on food allergies/ issues. We sat outside because we didn't have reservations but the bar is full service too. Parking on the street was free for 2 hours-watch out for bikers this place is in the middle of MIT.
google avatar

Larry B.

Yelp
Simply the best lobster roll I've ever had. Only the warm buttered one though! The homemade potato chips are also great. Great clam chowder and a superb crab cake. Great cocktails too. Also the raw bar selections are excellent. Yes I'm using the word great a lot. Make a reservation. Always mobbed.

Yelp
Said goodbye to a week's visit to New England last week after visiting my sis and then friends, finishing up in Boston. Stayed in Cambridge next to the MIT campus at a neat place in Kendall Square and had an excellent farewell dinner at Row 34, a spot you should check out when you're in the hood. Excellent fresh-as-can-be seafood, with a great selection of oysters, lobster, beers, and the other necessities of life. While the house oysters were briny and glistening, next time I'll follow the server's lead 'cause in a selection of the ones I chose, her recommendations were even better-"Better," as in plumper, sweeter and much more flavorful. My advice? Have the lobster pasta dish. A 5 star dish that's so rich you can share it with your dining partner.
google avatar

Shaira T.

Yelp
The service we got was so fantastic it had to be applauded! Panos was our server that evening for our outdoor table. It started to sprinkle and he was extremely communicative, never pressured us in either way and managed to work with the manager to get our large group an indoor table. It was the best service Ive ever experienced at any restaurant, ever. We started off our meal with some oysters and appetizers, ending with lobster rolls. All the food was generally great, with special call outs for the large mussels, island creek oysters and the lobster rolls obviously. Would definitely be back if I find myself back in Cambridge!
google avatar

Yelp
Five stars for the excellent service I received! I made a reservation for my birthday dinner, I had the honor of having Anya as my server. She was absolutely amazing, super kind, made me feel special for my celebration, and very attentive. The environment was great, loved the warm lights and dark interiors. The food was served hot. Overall this was the best experience thanks to our server Anya!

Tony L.

Yelp
Best tasting lobster roll in the greater Boston area IMHO (also among the most expensive). Juicy lobster meat with just the right amount of sauce/seasoning, perfectly toasted buttery bun. Side salad (subbed for fries) very fresh and crisp greens and nice light dressing. Cambridge location has a very clean and modern feel, and excellent service.
google avatar

Yueh Qi C.

Yelp
Service was good, located near the Kendall on the red line and is very accessible. Didn't have any issues getting a seat during a weekday lunch. Food is well priced for seafood. I had the rainbow trout and it's was really good, highly recommend. Would love to come back and try their raw bar.

Yelp
We read excellent reviews on Row 34 and three of us went in to enjoy one last meal together before heading back to our home states. We called ahead to see if we needed reservations and were told they could get us in now. Upon arrival, it was mostly empty, attractive simplistic decor and as the hostess was walking us to our table, she let us know we had be finished within the hour. I asked her if she was serious and very snidely said 'yes, we're booked with reservations.' Wow, just wow! So much for a relaxing evening out. The server was great, she spent time describing the differences in the oysters they offered and answered several questions about the menu options. Most of the food was quite good and the calamari I had as part of my meal was excellent! There was a bit too much tortilla to fish/fixings in the fish tacos, so there was tortilla left on the plate. The crab cake with corn salad was very good and I would definitely recommend it! We didn't bother with wine, cocktails or appetizers, since we were told to hurry. The manager ended up being the one to bring us our bills to sign. He asked how everything was and is apparently well aware of the hostess's brash demeanor with guests and he's talked to her more than once about this. He was apologetic, but honestly, she needs to find a new job if she's treated guests like this more than once. Hopefully this was a one off. I'm slated to go back to Boston next month and would consider giving them another try... even if to sit at the bar for calamari and a crab cake!

Yelp
On a Saturday night we're looking for a place to get something nice and warm to eat. Wanted a table for 2 but they had nothing open. We waited a few minutes and the hostess made room for us at the bar. People were working on laptop computers on one side and on the other we had a very obnoxious noisy large group that made it hard for us to have a conversation. We ordered drinks and food quickly. The Negroni was made perfectly and our orders of fish and chips were amazing so light and fluffy. Would come back and maybe try get a reservation next time and not sit at the bar as it was a little cramped. Service was friendly and very fast.

Franklin S.

Yelp
Standout food and service. The fish is great and you can really trust the menu here to be better than you could make at home. Drinks are good too.
google avatar

Corey Z.

Yelp
Excellent seafood! My friends and I came at around 12 PM on a Tuesday, and we were seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and more than willing to provide suggestions to our group. The mussels we ordered to share were cooked extremely well and paired excellently with the sauce and bread. The lobster roll I ordered was perhaps the best lobster roll I've had. The bread was buttery and toasted perfectly, and the lobster was fresh and flavorful. Additionally, the fries on the side were nice and crispy. Looking forward to my next visit!
google avatar

Emily Y.

Yelp
Definitely come try out their mini lobster rolls. Super fresh with a nice onion kick. Their Angus beef sliders were incredibly juicy and don't miss out on their non-alcoholic options like the pina colada cooler.
google avatar

Timothy P.

Yelp
Our server was fairly good. Not fine dining good. But, better than most bars. Uncomfortable doesn't begin to describe it. The chairs are rustic and hard. Noisy. A cold wind was constantly coming through the door. The food did not sit well with me. Others in my party were satisfied. Mine was inedible.
google avatar

hallie A.

Yelp
I was on a quest to find delicious clam chowder and I found it! The chowder was piping hot, well seasoned and perfectly prepared. We also had the fresh homemade rolls, steamed mussels and shoestring fries. Our server was friendly and attentive. And the vibe of the whole place was lovely. Would definitely come back when I'm in Cambridge again.

Lor G.

Yelp
Tried this place Sep last year and the lobster pasta was incredible. My colleague had a lobster roll. And she said the lobster was so juicy and sweet. Drinks are all delicious. Would love to go back.
google avatar

Florence K.

Yelp
One of my favorite seafood restaurant in Boston! I went to the Cambridge location for the first time and it's not as crowded as the Seaport one. I just wished they don't change the menu all the time so I can reorder my fav items. We got the oysters (5/5), clam chowder (5/5), ceviche (5/5) and the pasta with bay shrimp (5/5).
google avatar

Charlie L.

Yelp
Good for large parties - we had a team dinner for 18 and they were able to accommodate. The food is solid, but nothing super memorable to write home to mom about. Probably wouldn't come here on my own, but it's just so convenient to Kendall Square.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
Solid fresh food did not disappoint. 4.5 stars. The lobster pasta was rich but wonderful. The whole fish was cooked perfectly and juicy. Trout was flavorful and complemented with gnocchi as a gluten free substitute for tabouli, which has gluten. Everything was great except the bluefin tuna was just so so. Overall great experience.
google avatar

Angel M.

Yelp
Great cocktail and seafood spot. Fresh food with amazing service. The Blue Crab Cocktail was the perfect amount of real crab and cocktail sauce. The oysters and other seafood were all free and made to order. The margaritas and manhattans were way too easy to drink. Great place for lunch, dinner, or drinks with colleagues.
google avatar

Corinna C.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. Great ambiance and service. Food was tasty. We got raw seafood tower. All the seafood were fresh and price was reasonable. My kids have nut allergy and they were able to skip the almond ingredient in the peach almond spritz which was a very nice gesture. Lots of local beer and cocktail options. We would certainly go back in the future. .
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
Everything was great. Food was delicious overall, and the service was great. The atmosphere and ambiance were also wonderful. The Crab and Rice bowl was a little sour and salty. It was also a little wet. However, the Tuna Crudo and the Oysters were great.
google avatar

Chelsea G.

Yelp
Incredible food! Oysters - yum! Ceviche - yes please! And those chips?? Amazing Tuna crudo - incredible Cod with the beans - the cod was like butter. So good!
google avatar

Christine W.

Yelp
Everything is great, from the food, service, and ambience. The oysters are very tasty and fresh. Besides the oysters, the lobster roll is very delicious, and the lobster pasta is handmade, special and yummy. I'm very happy that my guests are satisfied. Will return for sure.
google avatar

Bob J.

Yelp
Wow! Unbelievable food! The Buttered Lobster Roll changed my life seriously. It was so flavorful and came with big pieces of lobster on a wonderful roll. The thick fries were also massive and very good. The oysters were good, but be aware that they are stingy about giving our crackers. Friendly service as well!
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Delicious food, decent portions, and great service. Really nice ambiance, think refined casual. They know how to do seafood and I absolutely recommend getting "the board". The pates are outstanding. Good strong cocktails. The homemade pasta was so rich and well seasoned. I did not have entree envy at all. I would absolutely come back.

Yelp
Cool area, easy to explore before and after. Atmosphere within was nice. Service was good. Unfortunately, I didn't like the food. I spent 50 dollars on a lobster roll and the roll was burnt. Every bite cost 10 dollars and just tasted like burnt bread. I would probably not go back, just too expensive to risk the same experience. I've had plenty of 20-30 dollar lobster rolls that tasted better.

Yelp
Very nicely done oyster bar and seafood restaurant next to MIT. I would recommend reservations. They wouldn't give me a table for one at 6:30 on a Wednesday even though 40% of the seats were empty, but it was graduation week at MIT so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that the tables were actually reserved. Other than that, service was attentive, polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. I had an assortment of MA, ME, and PEI oysters. They were incredibly fresh and also perfectly shucked. I've had oysters at some restaurants in Seattle and Vancouver that were as good, but none that were so expertly detached from their shells without a trace of damage to the oyster and with exactly the right amount of liquid in the half-shell. The lettuce cups were tasty--very light and crisp fried oysters on a leaf of Bibb lettuce with a lightly piquant remoulade-type dressing with thin-sliced pickled vegetables. The mussels were very lemony/citrusy. They were well cooked and a reasonable portion. I would personally have added a bit more garlic, but I'm only quibbling because I love mussels and order them often, and they were an 8/10 rather than a 10/10 like everything else on the menu. I would definitely eat here again when next in town.

Yelp
Great food and even more amazing service. Manager Natalie and the staff were more than attentive, providing an excellent description of the menu items along with offering their suggestions. Cocktails were on point and the food was delicious. Oysters were fresh and served perfectly. Ceviche and tartare were very good, as was the lobster bisque and clam chowder, and the buttermilk biscuit was huge and delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
This is place is great. We ate at Cambridge location today. The oysters are amazing, fresh and some of the best we've had. Enjoyed them so much, we ordered a 2nd dozen. Service was a bit slow but it was an odd hour so no real complaints. We tried the lobster roll- it just wasn't my thing. The pasta is very good also. Overall 5 stars. I'll go back when in Boston.

Yelp
Bar was awesome. I'll have to return to try oysters and food. They have a feast of the seven fishes dinner that looks fun.

Yelp
$58 for half (!) a lobster roll is pretty ridiculous, so that I was disappointed by. Does it taste good? I guess so? Can't go wrong with lobster. But the sides were a tiny ketchup bowl of cole slaw, and then chips, literal chips! Not even fries. Oysters are around $4 and honestly should've just gotten a dozen of those.

Yelp
This place is extremely salty, even the salt lovers thought it was too much. However, the food was still flavorful. We got the row 34 oysters and board to start. The board was huge and extremely filling. It came with smoked and cured fish, depending on the day, the combination will change. In addition to the fish, you get bread, crème fraiche, and picked veggies (cabbage, carrot, and red onion) The red onion was sweeter while the cabbage and carrot were extremely sour and vinegary. And the clam chowder was savory and thick. For our entree we got the squid ink rigatoni and calamari. Both were so salty and they barely gave you any calamari. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the flavor was there, albeit salty. When I ate the pasta that wasn't soaked in the sauce was very good. The only thing that I think was actually worth it is the board, everything else was pretty meh. But they had great service!

Yelp
I've been to Row 34 in the Boston Seaport area and loved it, so I was excited to discover that there's a Row 34 in Cambridge too. The food was fine and the space is nice enough but something about it doesn't quite match the vibe of the original. The restaurant is right in Kendall Square- easiest if you can take the T as parking can be a little hard to find around here and there isn't valet parking. Standout dishes were the deep fried whole fish (with Vietnamese flavors), crabcake appetizer and oyster lettuce cups. The shellfish tower was great too- the large comes with 6 pieces of clams, 6x2 types of oysters, 6 prawn cocktails, 3 mini ceviche tacos, and a whole lobster. The lobster pasta was disappointing as they had run out of lobster noodles and used regular wheat pasta (the manager promised to comp us but I think they forgot, and we didn't push). Our waiter also disappeared halfway through the meal and another waitress ended up helping us with dessert. So- it was fine, but slightly spotty service.

Yelp
I had a salad - but it was really, really good. Perhaps too good to be healthy! Definitely a good destination - the pizza looked really good, even though I skipped it, and the beer was worthwhile! Service was great as well!
