16 Great Atlanta Hotel Restaurants

"With ample seating, private spaces, large tables, and an upstairs patio, Rowdy Tiger is an industrial-chic whiskey bar in the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel that has comfortably settled into the corporate dinner spot. On weekdays, tables fill with work teams in company-branded fleeces who drink the 100-plus whiskeys, from Japanese blends to American ryes, showcased above the bar. The American pub menu has diverse options like cornbread-fried shrimp and a whiskey-brined pork chop that will work well enough to please a large party with varying palates. But regardless of who we’re here with, we order the creamy, cheesy grits for weekend brunch or for dinner as the shrimp and grits entree. Rowdy Tiger’s rooftop also hosts events like Pride parties and holiday igloos—another great reason to keep this place on your radar." - nina reeder, demarco williams

12 Holiday Happenings Where You Can Eat, Drink, And Be Merry

"The heated igloos on the rooftop of Rowdy Tiger in Midtown can make for a fun post-work gathering with colleagues or a cozy weekend date night. Just be prepared to eat enough wings, nachos, flatbreads, and cocktails to feed a Whoville village because there is a minimum $300 food and beverage spend, which is paid in advance when you reserve here. Google
⭐⭐⭐ 3 stars – Rowdy name, polite service, chewy shrimp, and hair that shines brighter than the eggs. Dinner service? Fantastic. The staff was friendly and the vibe says, “We are absolutely not your average hotel restaurant.” And you know what? They almost pulled it off—until the shrimp showed up. The shrimp and grits looked amazing. Unfortunately, the shrimp were overcooked to the point of existential crisis. I tried chewing, but they bit back. The grits, however? Lovely. Purple and creamy like Prince and Paula Deen had a culinary baby. Now breakfast… whew. That was a different flavor journey. The food was hot and oily—real oily—like it came with a side of 10W-30. Grease was glistening in solidarity with the white male server’s dirty hair. I couldn’t tell if he was about to bring me coffee or audition for a role in Grease: The Musical (Cafeteria Edition). Still, the ambiance was upscale, the booths were comfy, and the place wants to be a neighborhood gem despite being inside a hotel. And honestly, I respect the hustle.

This bar is right inside Renaissance Hotel. The staff were amazing and service was great. The server made great suggestions for drinks. The food was on point! The Reuben was perfect, the impossible burger with vegan cheese almost tasted real, and the fries and soup were yummy too. Would definitely recommend and go back. We went on a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy which we liked. Their rooftop bar opens at 5pm,& I’ll be back to check it out. Group of three came out to about $150 with a few rounds of drinks included.Great value

Google
Food was solid, the portions were light for the price, but the quality was fine. Took forever to get food, this is not a stop in for a lunch place, this is a sit and socialize location so be aware of that. Wish our server was more attentive for the few amount of people in the restaurant. Not enough alcohol selections.

A stop at the Rowdy Tiger Whiskey Bar & Kitchen is well worth making the trip. It’s located inside the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Atlanta. Tony Brown our waiter went above and beyond. The food was fantastic and every plate we saw go by had great portions. Truly the experience exceeded our expectations!

My husband and I went there before an event we had to go to at the Fox. About 10 minute walk from there, so not too bad. Walked in and was greeted by not one but 2 people. Sat at a nice table. Kind of reminded me of a speakeasy but for whiskey LOL. The food was flavorful. I loved how the deviled eggs were made (although I think they needed a bit of acid or salt to perfect it). The hot chicken sandwich was great, not overly hot (like a Nashville), but hot enough, great slaw, and a yummy pickle. The fries were hand cut and were awesome. We would have gotten dessert if we weren't going somewhere after as their dessert menu looked intriguing. The bartender Shawn knew his drinks and was very excited when my husband said he wanted to try a different whiskey). He brought out this Japanese whiskey old fashion which was so different and tasty. We can't wait to go back and just enjoy the night and talk shop with the bartender!

My first penicillin in years, very good. Slightly less strong than I’d have liked (too much ice), but as a favorite drink of mine I can’t complain

Very much enjoyed the fried okra. The greens were okay but I'm from the south so you have to have some pretty good greens. Had one drink it wasn't bad. Wasn't overcrowded so things didn't take forever to come out. Decent music was playing and they had Sports on the TV so you couldn't ask for more. Came for my birthday I think I'd come back.

Google
I'm conflicted in my rating. I want to give the food 1 star and The entertainment 10 stars. The DJ and the drag dancers were the best. I loved Dre Friday. They all came with the best energy and did not disappoint. Unlike the food and service. I strongly suggest you eat before you get here. I ordered the Shrimp and grits but could not eat it because it was drowning in salt and very oily. I then ordered a virgin margarita but instead of looking up the recipe online or saying you just don't know how to make it, they literally served me lime juice. Come on, man! That's not right. My company ordered chicken and waffles. They like the waffle but the chicken was a little over seasoned. They only had four menu items on the rooftop or at least that's what the server said to us. Which we barely saw her. At one point I got up to bring my food back to the bar area because the server never came back to our table. All in all, I'll eat and drink before I go back next time.

Yelp
The food was inedible. My friend and I each ordered a wedge salad with steak. The salad was the butt end of the iceberg, and the steak was gray and so chewy we couldn't swallow it. It had a very off flavor. I have never been served food that was less palatable. The waitress was lovely about it and did not seem surprised when we asked to not be charged since we could not take more than a bite or two. Truly an awful experience, with the exception of the waitress.

Yelp
The Rowdy Tiger is an awesome whiskey bar with an adjoining restaurant. Literally any premium bourbon you desire is on the shelf behind the bar. We tried a number of their classic cocktails and I can say they are generous with their pours. We tried ordering room service at the Renaissance using the QR code on the TV. Unfortunately, it pulls up the restaurant's menu and not the more limited room service menu. So a server from the restaurant brought us up a paper menu. Great Buffalo wings, but a tad pricey. The French fries served with Old Bay Seasoning are additive. The food we had for breakfast in the restaurant was awesome. Make sure you get Brandii to be your server. She was amazing. She told us the signatures on the breakfast menu were the French Toast (I had it and it was great), the Chicken and Waffles (I had it and it was great) and the Rowdy Omelet (I had it and it was great).

Yelp
Rowdy tiger is a hotel restaurant which I was skeptical about, but it was really nice. There is valet at the hotel but also some street parking or a paid lot close by. There was a full bar - truly tons of whiskey options. Our group really enjoyed the smoked old fashioned. I was a bit disappointed they didn't have mule mugs for my mule. We ordered deviled eggs, meatballs and egg rolls for appetizers and they were all really good! I had the short ribs with potato's and veggies. It was delicious and the portion was huge.

Yelp
So I was staying at the hotel and this whiskey bar was attached. Even though they are kind of separately owned I would say that this is a definite stop for anybody who's in Atlanta. The atmosphere is very friendly, my waitress was very friendly and attentive, and the food was actually pretty good. Unfortunately the menu is seasonal so if you see something online, it may not be in stock but just go with whatever's on the menu because It'll probably be pretty good. I ended up going here twice in two days so it's definitely a place that I would frequent on a regular basis. The selection of whiskeys is incredible. If you drink anything, it's gonna be here just put in your order.

Yann d.

Yelp
$6.50 for coffee for hotel guests. WTF? Are you serious? Copy isn't even particularly good and the charge especially considering that I was staying at the hotel is completely egregious.

Yelp
Locked doors at 10:30 pm when it says they close at midnight, there's also several people in there and a bartender still working. Disappointing??

Yelp
Service could be better and hand soap in the men's restroom would be nice. Left my coat on the chair and noticed my drink was gone. They thought I left... and didn't pay,, but went to the restroom for a sec. Got a free Long Island ice tea and a miller lite on the house :)

Yelp
Stayed at the renaissance for a wedding. Stopped in the Rowdy for drinks. Service was horrible. We had to track our server both times to get additional drinks and order food. They never came back and checked on us. Our second time there my lemon drop was extremely weak and tasted as if was just lemonade. We were extremely disappointed. Ambiance was ok. We left since we were being ignored, and went to another bar!

Yelp
This is a cool little upscale corner bar. They have an indoor and outdoor situation so on a nice day this is clutch. He's in a hotel so you have all the hotel vibes, a nice lobby even a fireplace. So if you wanted to sit at the bar that's fine, if you want to sit at the restaurant part that's fine, or if you wanted to go probably to the lobby which is right on the other side of the wall, that's also fine too. You'll have good views no matter where you sit in this establishment. I've only ever sat at the bar so if you get to the bar you'll get pretty good service so I would suggest doing that. You got a menu that is page is long full of whiskey and then some other stuff. But if you want whiskey or bourbon, this is a spot. Of course they have an assortment of other cocktails, but it's a whiskey bar so you have to keep in mind that that is their bread and butter. I got an old fashioned kind of situation of course. But I feel like if you want to find a whiskey, if you can't find it here, you may not be able to find anywhere!

Yelp
We came in at 11/15 on a Saturday. Valet said they were open. Came in, sat at the bar, made noise to make our presence known. Sat there for 15-20 minutes, we could hear employees chit chatting in the distance but they never came out so we went somewhere else. Some women were walking in as we were walking out, we told them "good luck".

Yelp
Service was great, restaurant very pleasant, but the food was just meh. The risotto was vegetarian and tasty, the blackened salmon had little flavor. The sweet potato fries were also dull.

Yelp
I came here on a Tuesday afternoon after work. Its a nice place to bring friends and have a drink. The food was just ok to me but I only had the lamb kabobs and Caesar salad. I also had a drink but didn't care for it much it was called Larry's lemonade. All in all I wasn't impressed by the food/drinks but ambiance was nice.

Yelp
The food is ok. Our drinks were ok. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. We ordered the Breakfast Skillet, Espresso Martinis, Steak & Eggs. The best dish was the breakfast potato's.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but was underwhelmed. We found it as it was on a list of "great mocktails in midtown" so we went before a show at ASO. They did have two mocktails, however we were told that the second, the "rise and shine" was only for the lunch service which seemed very odd. The bar itself is beautiful with a great whiskey selection, however we weren't partaking during our visit to the restaurant. We started with the deviled eggs, and while the taste was fine, the portion of the filling was disappointing. Less than half filled like didn't reach the edge of the yolk hole? The smallest of dollops! The entree menu is underwhelming, very basic for an American-style eatery. I ordered the shrimp and grits - while the grits were great, the pork had an odd seasoning on it that didn't go well with the dish, and the shrimp was rubbery and overcooked. The first one I bit into hadn't been cleaned properly as well which is .... disturbing. My partner said his salmon and risotto was great and our friend enjoyed her burger. Finally, when the check came, the mocktails were $16 each, and was basically lime juice and soda water by the taste of it! I was stunned to say the least.

Yelp
The service and customer service was horrible!! We waited 15-20 minutes before we were even acknowledged. We finally ordered take out and it took an hour. We will never go back'

Yelp
This place was initially recommended to me by a friend, and my whiskey and bourbon drinking heart was so glad they told me to check it out. I've been here twice now, once for brunch with a friend and for a dinner date, and each time I have been extremely satisfied. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located on West Peachtree Street, next to the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel. Parking is either on the street which you will have to pay for (except on Sunday) They have a machine, but you can also use the Park Mobile app and you'll be fine. Also make sure you do it as soon as you get there, while my partner and I were trying to figure out the machine (it was broken) the parking attendant had already written us a ticket. Super annoying, but we got it straightened out. There is also deck parking that a little further down the street. Reservations, Venue, and Atmosphere They do take reservations, I made one for both brunch and dinner, but each time I went there was hardly a crowd so we would have been fine with just walking in. We were able to get seated very quickly which I liked. The venue is gorgeous. Once you walk through the doors you're directly at the hostess stand, and behind them is a beautiful winding staircase which I'm assuming goes to the rooftop patio that they have (will definitely be checking that out in the summer) The restaurant is very spacious, with booth as well as table seating, both regular and hightop. There is a full bar with ample seating and there are TVs throughout that are on various sports channels. The atmosphere is casual, but very cute. You can dress up or down here and either will be fine. Food and drinks So because I've been here for both dinner and brunch I'll give a quick rundown of both. For brunch I had the caramel apple French toast, which was delicious. It's made on brioche bread with caramel apples, and candied pecans, and syrup. It's served a la carte, which I wasn't particularly fond about, but I get it. I added a side of scrambled eggs with cheese, home fries and sausage. The home fries were well seasoned, and the remaining sides were also good. When I came back with my partner for our dinner date we started with appetizers. We started with the smoked wings and the bacon bombs. The wings were a decent size and had a really good flavor to them. The bacon bombs were ok, I expected them to have more of a spice to them since they were bacon jalapeño meatballs, but otherwise they were fine. For our entrees I had the hot chicken sandwich which came with fries, and my partner had the grilled pork chop, which was served over a bed of their creamy grits with collards, and we added a side of Mac and cheese. The chicken on the sandwich was fried very nicely and did have good flavor, but wasn't hot at all. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. My partner enjoyed her pork chop and said that the grits as well as the collards were good. The Mac and cheese was ok, not necessarily anything to write home about but not the worst I've had. Now the drinks? Yes. That's all you need to know. Yes. If you are a whiskey and bourbon drinker you have found your people, because this is their thing and they do it extremely well. Their whiskey list is probably one of the most extensive I've seen lately, and they have my current favorite (Buffalo Trace) so I was very happy. I of course tried their old fashioned, which was amazing. I also tried a millionaire, which I was initially skeptical about because it has an egg white on top but it was basically like foam and worked out just fine. They are also strong, so sip with caution or prepare to be leaning. They also do have other spirits for those who aren't really whiskey drinkers, so no fear I'm sure you'll find something that you like as well. Service Our server was amazing. She was attentive and one a lot about the menu, and didn't hesitate to recommend drinks to us. We didn't have to wait long for anything to come out, and she checked on us periodically while still giving us space to talk and enjoy the experience. Verdict As I said in the beginning I've been here twice, and there will definitely be a third time. I have to work my way through that whiskey list, and I can't wait to check out the rooftop when the summer comes. Good food, great drinks, and excellent service. Bourbon and whiskey lovers unite! Until next time!

Yelp
I booked an igloo on the rooftop for Valentine's Day and from start to finish the experience was amazing! I was greeted by a very kind & informative host. Once reaching the rooftop, the bar staff was very friendly. My server Brandy gave me the best service I've received in quite some time. She had awesome suggestions, she was friendly, & provided quick service! Very kind & genuine person. The type of service that will ensure a return visit! The food was delicious! Chef Dre himself came and served us a few of our dishes. The wings were crispy and seasoned to perfection! My date enjoyed the deviled eggs! I also ordered a burger to go, and it still tasted amazing the next day!! Big shout out to Chef Dre. 100% would return again! (And I'm no easy critic!)

Yelp
Went there on a Monday night so it was not very busy. We decided to sit at the bar and the bartender was unfriendly, she just dropped of the menus and walked away. We asked a question but her answer was brief and unclear. I felt that she was rude but we overlooked it and ordered or drinks and food. Then suddenly her mood changed and she was nicer. A few people had recommended the food here so I was looking forward to the wings and burger but the wings were not that good. The burger and mac and cheese were delicious but the wings tasted dry. The place is elegant and simply decorated.

Yelp
We came here for Christmas brunch. I was very happy that they were open. It wasn't packed but there were a few tables for brunch. It's a holiday so I wouldn't have anything by that. Either this place is a hidden gem or gets wildly packed. I appreciate the staff that was working! Blake was our bartender. We sat down while waiting for our friends. Blake is awesome!!! He had all the knowledge about every whiskey and made an amazing 'bananas in pajamas' ! If you like banana get this drink and thank me later (but thank Blake first with a huge tip cause he rocks). The ambiance of this place is great and it's in the middle of midtown. Modern 20s vibes with checkered floors and wood tables, large circular booths with marble tables. It was beautiful. Apparently they have a rooftop too but we just stayed in the dining room. Our server was awesome, answered all of our questions and got us everything we needed. I feel like an asshole for not remembering their name. I'm sorry. My meal was awesome. The chicken and waffles is probably one of the best that I have ever had. The chicken was cooked perfectly and so was the waffle. I don't know what magic juju they put in the syrup but I was drooling. I walked out in a food coma because I was determined to finish the dish, although I was wildly full halfway through. My boyfriend got the steak and eggs with grits. The steak was cooked medium the way he asked and the over easy eggs were done just right. Our friend also got the steak & eggs and said his was great as well. I could type forever about how good this place is. I can't wait to come back to dinner and again for whiskey and again for another reason. It was an awesome Christmas brunch. Super thankful to everyone at Rowdy Tiger.

Yelp
Can I be honest? I'm starting to get a little depleted with trying new restaurants in Atlanta. It seems a bit too hard to find delicious dining experiences at a $$ price point. It's like you have to go 5-star or nothing to have a fantastic food experience, which I don't mind, just not ALL the time. I tried out Rowdy Tiger before a movie date since it was down the street. Decor and ambience are nice; I noticed once we entered that it's connected to the Renaissance hotel, which gave me pause because hotel restaurants are usually hit or miss (in my experience). We were short on time so we just ordered cocktails and apps. Details below: Food: Deviled eggs - very good, 8/10 Mussels - pretty good, 7/10 Smoked Wings - do not recommend, 2/10 - I questioned if they seasoned the wings at all. They were drizzled (very sparingly) with a honey glaze and came with blue cheese - left MUCH to be desired. Would've sent them back but my date didn't want to go through the hassle. Dessert: Banana pudding - this seemed like the biggest juug of the night. The portion was small and served in a small, stemless wine glass. Just a piece of pound cake that could've been more moist with a grainy banana pudding slopped on top...a true disappointment. 0/10, don't recommend. Drinks: Firing squad - a tequila cocktail that was tasty but questionable as to whether any tequila was actually in it. Ginger ale - date said the ginger ale was terrible, didn't even have bubbles when it came to the table. Service was excellent but we were truly shocked to see the bill total come to $125 for 3 apps and 3 cocktails - no entrees. All in all ~$150 with tip which was just...a gut check because we weren't impressed with anything. So we won't be returning but their rooftop might be worth a try when the weather turns.

Yelp
Javier is so friggin hawt and made such succulent drinks! i just went from six to midnight!

Yelp
Terrible service. I'm in town for a convention and all my male colleagues were shown great attention. The bartenders were downright rude to me. Little did they know I was the one paying for hundreds of dollars of food and beverage. I won't be visiting the bar again.

Yelp
This unassuming hotel restaurant is sophisticated in decor with an equally impressive menu. Location and Parking Rowdy Tiger is located in a Midtown hotel. There is paid parking on the street. Venue and Atmosphere The interior resembles a bourbon bar, with fine leather furniture and dark wood tables. A liquor wall is behind the bar. Food and Beverages I had the pork chop, with Mac and cheese and collards. I also had the Algonquin beverage. Everything was absolutely delicious. I've been wary of restaurant mac and cheese due to previous experience, but I was impressed. The cocktail was strong, yet smooth and flavorful. Service Our server was friendly and attentive, as well as knowledgeable about the drink menu. Verdict If I crave a night out in Midtown, I'll stop by again!

Yelp
I will do an updated review later but all I can say is the place is not at all busy or packed and we have been waiting almost 40 min for our order. ‍ proof in the photo Food arrived, very tasty, but not fresh even with the wait. Management didn't apologize or care it seems. I'd say good food, but don't expect prompt service or any care for lack of.
google avatar

Liselle B.

Yelp
I have to say I like the look and feel of this restaurant. The inside is very open, clean, and modern with nice light fixtures and décor accents to give the place some character. I was in a seafood mood so I ordered a bowl of the She-crab soup and the Mussels to eat, and a cocktail to drink. The soup was really good with a nice creamy consistency and I enjoyed the flavor that was cooked into the mussels and accompanying broth. My cocktail wasn't too bad but had too much ice in it IMO. I think for a whiskey bar in such a nice setting, I was more expecting use of one big block of ice or something shaken and served up in terms of presentation of the cocktails. The service was good, no complaints there and the atmosphere was nice. All in all, I would certainly return.

Yelp
We went to Rowdy Tiger Whiskey Bar & Kitchen a few weeks ago during the week for a friend's thirtieth birthday. Her boyfriend rented out the rooftop area for a Soiree. It was a cool experience. We actually got to experience it right before the opening weekend, so I feel like I would need to visit again on my own to give a better review. Based on ambience alone, I liked the set up. The bartenders were nice and attentive. There was plenty of seating on the rooftop and views of the city. Parking was about 3 minutes away from Rowdy Tiger Whiskey Bar & Kitchen and it was $6 for 2 hours. Overall, I think the rooftop was nice for an intimate gathering with friends. We arrived late, so we did not get to try the food.

Yelp
I found this place from an article talking about great cocktails in Atlanta. Unfortunately, neither the food nor the cocktails were great. I don't even think I would call them good. Not to mention wildly overpriced. The deviled eggs were very bland. The rice and vegetables that came with the salmon, looked like some thing that came from a frozen bag of mixed veggies. They were perfectly cubed, tiny pieces of vegetables like what you'd expect from some thing you pull out of your freezer. The cocktails were overly sweet and lacked any creativity. And for $16.50 each! I would have expected better quality and better ingredients. Not a some liquor with a bunch of sugary store bought mixes. My total was $84 before tip and taxes for 2 lackluster cocktails, the salmon with a side of cornbread, and a black coffee. The rooftop had a great aesthetic and the staff were very . But at the end of the day, this is a restaurant and bar, so I judge it primarily on the quality of the food and cocktails.

Yelp
Was disappointed that the rooftop was not open on a beautiful sunday afternoon. Ordered the ploughmans board and it was not as described. Disappointing overall. Way too pricey for the experience. Staff was friendly

Yelp
We came in on a Saturday afternoon. It was not too packed and not extremely empty either. The hostess asked if we had reservations which we didn't but she stated that we didn't have to have one at that time. We had the deviled eggs, the rowdy burger with fries, the chicken B.A.L.T with collard greens and I asked for the Georgia Peach that's not on the menu but I read a review that it was good and that the bartender would know about it but I don't think the bartender at the time knew how to make it. It was still tasty but aware that it's a tall drink. Both sandwiches were good. The greens were seasoned very well. Service was great. From the hostess to the bartender to the server. Next time I hope to see the rooftop. Parking deck nearby.

Yelp
Super cool venue. Loved the atmosphere and the shrimp and grits. We visited on a tour and would definitely come back to try more. Please add the Peach bourbon smash drink to your menu ... delicious!!

Yelp
I made it back to Rowdy Tiger and everything was excellent! The menu has changed since the last time I was there, but the food was still delicious. Our server was very attentive and personable. We started with drinks and appetizers. Hotel Nacional and the Cablegram for drinks. Deviled eggs and Cajun crawfish fritters for appetizers. The eggs were so good we had to order more. For the entree we ordered the grouper. Everything was seasoned well and tender.

Yelp
The restaurant looked great, we were excited to try the place out. Like many places in Atlanta the service was terrible. We were seated promptly after arriving , but that was it. After 15 minutes of waiting for a menu, we left. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
One of my friends saw this on TikTok (of course lol) and said we should go. So three of us got together one Friday evening and went. The weather was nice, so we went up to the rooftop. The rooftop was really cute. There were tables and lounging areas, games (foosball, table tennis, etc.), a bar with seating, beautiful murals, and bathrooms. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. The rooftop menu varies from the downstairs dining room menu. I can't remember the drink I ordered, but it was delicious! For my entree, I ordered the short rib sliders and a side of fries. The sliders were good, but came out a bit lukewarm. The fries were amazingggg! Me and the girls wound up ordering another drink, which was also good and for which I can't remember the name either. I enjoyed Rowdy Tiger so much that I came back for a brunch date that Sunday. We got there shortly before they closed for brunch and were one of the only parties in the dining room. I ordered the chicken and waffle and my date ordered the burger. We also got an order of the deviled eggs. All the food was soooo good! Our server was really nice too! I really like Rowdy Tiger and will have to go back soon. It'll definitely be my new spot.

Yelp
I made a reservation for 6 for the rooftop igloo dining for my birthday to have a ladies night out. We arrived early to ensure we parked and were still on time for our reservation. We pulled into a spot that says valet only, but didn't see anyone, so we decided to walk inside and inquire. When we first walked in the door, there was no one at the host stand. I don't know if this is customary or if this is because it was a weeknight and they were not very busy. Wasn't sure where to go so we walked in to the restaurant area and saw a bar and made our way over to ask someone there, where valet was, and were told that the hotel next door offers valet or we can self park in a garage behind the restaurant. Also, asked where we go for our reservation and advised to go up the set of stairs near the front door. We went out to find parking and the gentleman let us know it was $5 for valet for Rowdy Tiger, which is very reasonable. We made our way up the stairs to the outdoor patio and was waved over by a woman in a red jacket. She asked us for our reservation name and walked us to our igloo. She was very pleasant. There is a Bluetooth speaker in the igloo, so we set the vibe we wanted to have which is a very fun twist. Mimi, our server came over and took our cocktail and appetizer order and promptly brought back our drinks. The appetizers were brought out by a very nice gentleman who also offered to take our picture so we could get a group shot. All of the appetizers we ordered were so delicious! We had pimento cheese dip, jalepeno bacon bombs, fried shrimp, and deviled eggs. All wonderful choices! For my entree, I ordered the salmon and when I tell you it had so much flavor in the salmon, the risotto was perfectly creamy and delectable and the sauce in the plate was light and just the perfect touch. I really wanted to try the short rib, but they didn't have it on this night, but I was not disappointed with the salmon at all! As we were winding down, the woman in the red jacket came over and brought me a glass of bubbles for my birthday. Such an awesome touch! I love small gestures like this when celebrating any occasion. The igloo was pretty soundproof which was great because your conversations are not having to be heard by others so it feels private. I want to go back again and try the short ribs. A fun and new experience with the igloos, the flavorsome food and the splendid service will definitely have me coming back for a date night!

Yelp
I saw ton of people to talk about this on Instagram and TikTok and decided to go. I must say the food is good. The only complaint I have it's a little pricey. I also had a side of eggs which is not pictured but they charged $7 for them. Which is pretty steep for scrambled eggs. Other than that I think I would return.

Yelp
Phenomenal, outstanding, extraordinary.... What else must I say? Lol we went here for our Thanksgiving Dinner due to not being able to travel. From the service to the food, we were highly impressed. They served a Prix Fixe menu. I started with the Crab Cake and I must say it was top 2 best crab cake I'd ever had. Ever. I'm a stickler for flavor and allowing a dish to BREATHE. It delivered. Didn't even get a picture. I ate it too fast! Next, I ordered the braised short rib. Now you guys know if the Crab Cake was on point that the short rib was BUSSIN'. It tasted as though it had been cooking for hours as it literally fell apart. No knife needed! I'm attaching photos yall dont worry. Lol My girlfriend ordered the Lobster Mac which was not it. It was a bit dry and wasnt as flavorful as the other dishes. Thankfully, the kitchen replaced it with a short rib for her as well. (I say thankfully, because she was two bites into mine when they switched the plates) And lastly, my desert was the apple pie. Now, I really don't care for sweet food, but it being Thanksgiving made me dig in (and the fact that it was included in the price for $54 ) When I tell you the crust was so good and crunchy and the apple filling had ALL of the right tings to make you want me. It was nice and warm with a scoop of vanilla. Toe curling good. I slick wanted another one, but I was full yall! Lol the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is due to the drinks. They were okay. Not a huge fan. The drink menu definitely needs a rework in terms of flavor and mix compatibility. Was it an old fashion? Yes. But, it was just... not it. And I order an old fashion everywhere I go. However, the cocktail my girlfriend got was okay. The drinks just weren't anything special.

Yelp
Rowdy Tiger was a stop on the The Flavors of Atlanta walking tour. It's a beautiful contemporary designed bar/restaurant in Midtown. We tried the Bourbon Peach Smash. It was very good, and I'm not a bourbon drinker. We also tried the shrimp and grits. The presentation was lovely, and the dish was the best shrimp and grits I have ever had, and I do order them. Give this place a try.

Yelp
I had already had this place bookmarked on my yelp for a while so it was nice when a friend wanted to meet here for drinks. I came on a Sunday night shortly before closing. The bartender was really nice and made the perfect whiskey sours. I look forward to going back to try the food.

Yelp
This place is a bit of a hidden gem in midtown! We like to cone here for a nightcap, as it's quiet, service is good and the whiskey selection is excellent. This time we got a whiskey flight (wish I wrote down the labels!) and while it was pricey, it was worth it! We also had the server make us this Georgia Peach cocktail...it's a bourbon with jalapeño!! Delicious and with just enough kick! It's off menu so you have to specifically request it! The bartender knows it :) Haven't tried the food here but maybe next time. Other details: part of the Renaissance hotel. There's a rooftoop but only open to private parties with advanced reservations. Garage parking for a fee, or street parking.

Yelp
Two things that will forever and always go perfectly together.... #Brunch and #YourHomies no matter the city or the age. #Atlanta has some great places to eat and on our #SlumberParty weekend we acted like some pure #Tourist and walked from our hotel in Midtown Atlanta to @rowdytigeratl. Now I will tell you that their brunch does not start until 12pm. We did learn that the hard way when we made reservations for 11am. Which they should make that a little clearer when booking reservations. However the breakfast was everything we needed and more. No #Brunch is every complete with out mimosas and if we have a choice we always go #Bottomless #Bottomlessmimosas that is and @rowdytigeratl has many different flavor options. I prefer mine with the least amount of juice. We are women that eat & the breakfast the 6 us needed real food that would stick to our ribs. We ordered the #CraftedPlatter, #VeggieOmelet #GrilledChickenAndAvocadoOmelet and #frenchtoast. Everything tasted amazing and the staff really worked overtime to make up for our reservation issue. We even had a small tour of the amazing #Rootop that opens at 5pm. Even with reservations sometimes things can go wrong when your going out to eat. The key to great service is how you handle a mistake or issue. I can respect #RowdyTigerAtl for making sure that we walked away with a great #CustomerService. When have you had an issue at a restaurant? How did they handle it? Shout them out or Call them out. Let us know how the service was and we would love to check them out ourselves.

Yelp
I was staying at the Renaissance and decided to try Rowdy Tiger because of its convenience after a long day of work...and to my surprise, it did not disappoint! I had the grouper and prawns with collards instead of broccolini (which I love but was craving something leafy) and the dish was amazing! The grouper and prawns were perfectly cooked. The collard greens were full of flavor and the broth was absolutely delicious. They are in process of redoing the wine list but the current selection was ok. This is definitely the best meal I've had since Covid. Overall, it was the cheapest meal, but it was worth every cent. Definitely check it out!

Yelp
A must see spot for whiskey and bourbon drinkers! We found our favorite bourbon, EH Taylor, here and enjoyed the ambiance after a long day of traveling!

Yelp
Walking to a local pho spot and ran into this place. Had to stop in for a whiskey sour seeing as they were labeled a whiskey bar. Delicious, will come back and try the food another time.

Yelp
I know you cannot rely on menus aggregated by 3rd party websites, but a restaurant's own web site should be current. That was not the case here. The Rowdy Tiger website menu says the old school wedge salad was $10. when I viewed the paper menu in the restaurant, it was priced at $17! it gets worse- the paper menu had the Rowdy Burger at $17. when I got my bill, they had charged me $21 for it. I mean, if you have the time and money to pay IT to update the prices in the POS system, shouldn't you also print updated menus, or use a QR link to an updated online menu? They took the $4 off my bill but I wonder how many people pay it without checking the bill. I smell class action. it's just wrong.

Yelp
Rowdy Tiger has done it again! The new breakfast menu is fire and Johnny is consistently the best bartender in ATL. If you don't come here you're missing out!

Yelp
Came here for lunch on valentine's day and pleased isn't the word. The espresso martini i had was one of the best i 've ever had. The lamb kabobs and wedge salad were superb. My boyfriend had a burger and even that didn't disappoint. Our waiter/ bartender Johnny was excellent, he even had the chef come out to greet us. Definitely recommend the peach crisp dessert! Thank me later. Overall the vibe is upscale yet relaxed. 10/10 will for sure be coming back.

Yelp
We came here for drinks after a show at the Fox. For reference, it's about a 15 minute walk from the Fox. I can't speak for the food, but the drinks were good. They have a variety of scotches, bourbons and whiskeys and a small cocktail menu to choose from. I'd guess they could make many cocktails, but I was surprised at how small the cocktail menu is. We had an old fashion and the smoking jacket. Both great, flavorful, good sized. No complaints. There were several guys behind the bar who were all very friendly and chatty. There was a woman behind the bar who was a little gruff. When my husband said he didn't care what type of bourbon was used for his drink she made a remark like she couldn't make his drink unless he chose and that she brought him the menu precisely so he could choose. She eventually chose for him, which worked out. She wasn't rude, but she didn't create an environment you'd want to hang out in. The guys, however, were friendly. The decor is pretty sexy. Black and white, leather and velvet seating, large marble bar. Overall, this is a cool place, and Id definitely come back again

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic service from Tony. We got some excellent recommendations, including the Old Fashioned. They do not water down their drinks at all-they are strong! I ordered the green tomatoes, Rowdy Burger, broccolini, and cheesecake. The broccolini was fantastic, the other food was solid. I would definitely return, especially for the drinks.

Yelp
Great bourbon selection and good drinks but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Ordered the salmon and it was about 4oz, under seasoned and overcooked. Ordered dessert, since I was still hungry, and banana pudding came in a little juice cup, had no bananas and minimal flavor. Moral of the story, go for the drinks and not much more.
