We've been here several times for happy hour. They have good prices for food and drinks. This past weekend we attended Whisky Wonderland for the first time and had an amazing time. It was fun running into long time friends and made new ones. Several whiskey vendors and tasted different bourbons. They also had separate cigar lounge area. Lively bands playing all day and photo opp set up. They have terrific sliders and hot wings. We also were invited for cocktails in the Exhibition Room. Good service and friendly staff here too.

The place looks chill, Went there for that Whiskey wonderland event and paid 80.00 for the Vip ticket only to Find the Vip Room was over hyped, Advertised like the had a full Pappy Van Winkle Line up and other high end Bottles Like GTS, but only had VW12 and EHT Small Batch and RYE, with a Weller 12. Also Old fitz 10 which was half gone already, along with a Parkers Heritage Rye 10 year half gone. 🤣 The worst part wasn't the bottles but the fact that the guy pouring them was shaking and couldn't pour half a taster cup which was about .25 oz to begin with. Half he spilled on his fingers and the other times when he handed it over to you more spilled from his Shaky hands. I offered to hold the taster cup so he could pour a full taster and he refused. Then every bottle he opened he poured himself a taster and was drinking more bourbon than he was giving out. 😂. They really need someone with a steady hand for that Job. Honestly overall it was fun but VIP was not worth it. They had Smash Burgers which were decent for 14.00 but no fries or sides of any kind 🤦‍♂️. The Vendors in the Parking lot had better knowledge than anyone in VIP and could pour me a full taster thank goodness. Jack Daniels had some good pours and Buffalo trace had Stagg Jr, also Widow Jane and Starward Were cool. Great service everywhere except VIP.

We decided to try Roxanne's, having heard such positive things. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The loaded nachos were underwhelming, lacking in toppings. The hamburger was dry, and the pastrami on it was tough and overcooked. (If I did not know better it was deep fried) The french fries were cold and lacked flavor. We thought they were to be waffle fries but they were not. The fajitas were also overcooked, with some parts even burnt. We ordered shrimp tacos to go for mom, and we found them to be skimpy on both shrimp and cabbage. Sadly, based on this meal, I won't be returning to Roxanne's especially for the cost. The only thing good was the cold beer and lemon Ice water. Roxanne's was a big disappointment 😞😥

As an individual who spends a bit of time trying to gain information from venues via social media and the internet, I appreciate that this restaurant has updated information on social media accounts and website. Speaking with a representative was a pleasure! As a former employee of the hospitality trade, I frequently recall a quote from an old boss: 'If they maintain the items they do not need to maintain, I guarantee the important items (health related) are in perfect order.' Well done!

Went to this place with a friend on Sat 10/07/23. VERY cool place!!! Staff was great. Facilities was clean, overall very nostalgic. It has 3 separate bars in which to gain entrance to one you go inside an old telephone booth dial a number and wait for a code to let you in on the other side. Kind of feel like 'Get Smart' for all of you old schoolers. A coin-op pool table. Did not have any food. Just one drink.....after another..lol. nice place, I dig it.

Such a great outdoor space. We loved the food (assorted sliders, zucchini sticks with spicy aioli, shoestring fries, chicken sandwich and a few delicious craft beers. The bartender and waitress were super cool too. We will be back. So happy they were open before noon on Sunday. Other options in the area are closed until 12:30pm which can be impractical for brunch and lunch drinking.

Great food, great drinks! Its a bit pricey, but if youre gonna have a outdoor venue, speakeasy, AND tiki bar then it more than explains the expense. These folks also have a fireplace!

Stopped by to pick up a bottle of Long Beach Water liquor and stayed to try the food. Had the chicken skewers that were tender and seasoned very well. Service was very good. Loved the music and vibe.

I've gone on a Saturday it was80' S Music the only bad thing they take a very long time to bring you your drinks, that day they only had two bartenders. Service was slow Ambiance was good The food was ok just cold

Tamarind wings are fire if you have not heard. The rumors are true. Tangy wings. Ordered a dozen just to have with my old fashioned. Theb only downside on this visit--the bar is out of cherries. Whhhhhhhhhhy.... !?!?!

Cutest atmosphere with multiple bars my girl CHOLE held it down for us! Staff is soooo friendly... food was sooo good ! I normally am picky with drinks but I didn't even have to worry about that here everything was so good ! Music was a vibe .. I want to come back for the speak easy and check that out too! Make me a regular af

Been here a few times now and everytime it's great. Service was awesome Bartenders are great food is pretty good better than just bar foods it has other things on the menu that you wouldn't expect and it's has a greet happy hour menu. Food taste sooo good. Music is good and pool tables are great too. Decoration are very neat and cool and the best part of the experience is the lil speak easy in the back phone boot .

Stopped by for an event hosted here and it was a vibe! This place has lots of seating both inside and outside! Very cool decor and music too! It was pretty empty due to it being a Sunday afternoon when we went but service was very nice. Food came out pretty quickly too! What we ordered: -Nachos: I only had one bite but they were okay, kinda burnt. The steak on it was good though. Nothing special. 3/5 -Revuelta Pupusas: These were really good! The cortida added a great tang and crunch and the salsa was delicious. There was a good ratio of cheese, meat, and masa as well! I also enjoyed the bit of crispiness! 4/5 Overall, this is a pretty cool place to grab food and drinks! They've got a versatile menu and cool vibes. We also heard from one of the workers that there's 2 other bars and a distillery located within the venue as well so I'll definitely be checking those out next time!

I found on DoorDash and ordered a delivery. The food is really really good! I had chicken fajitas, chicken putacos, and spinach Artichoke Dip. I didn't love the rice. But the rest was so good that I didn't care. I will reorder from here as well as stop in for dinner and drinks!! Recommend!

Ok, so I will tell you what I told my friend when she suggested Roxanne's: the food is delicious! The vibe is mixed eclectic. I stand by the fact that this isn't a bar with an identity crisis and I love it more as a result (they have a vintage typewriter collection?!? Which I just saw today). What's not to love? The service on an off day/night. That being said, we had the best service, delicious drinks, and suuuuuuuuch good food. My friend had shrimp tacos and I had the dip trio and zucchini sticks. The guac is the star of the trio dip, followed by the black bean, and then salsa. The black bean and the salsa were good, but they were a bit too liquidy to get a good scoop. The chips? ::swoon:: The zucchini sticks are more like logs, but yummy! The dipping sauce is a bit spicy, I would definitely dine here again.

Came on a Sunday. They have a pool table and really good service/drinks. They also have a speak easy which is really cool!! It's something different and would recommend to everyone.

This place has more to offer than I expected. I was here for an alumni mixer and I was pleasantly surprised by everything they have to offer. Great drinks, an interesting menu, a speakeasy, and a distillery. Very interesting menu with pupusas being offered and other none usual bar menu items. They provided samples of their whiskey,vodka and Ron. Kudos to this gentleman for being patient and knowledgeable about LBC. They also mentioned that they had other specialty nights in their outdoor patio. Can't wait to come back and try other drinks and their other menu items.

The bartender yesterday was Awesome! She immediately greeted us and served us our drinks. She was so nice, that we stayed longer and had a couple more drinks and ordered food. Even when it began to get a little busy, she still came and checked on us We are definitely coming back Sunday. She rocks.!!

Was happily surprised by the music playing when I randomly decided to visit this unexpectedly cute spot. It gives a somewhat sports bar vibe with outdoor seating and an outdoor bar. The bar become an experience when I found its speakeasy with the most unexpecting bartender and live 20s music! Give me any speakeasy with great whiskey and I'm in love!!!

Came for fight night. Beautiful young lady named Tiff that goes there I will try to see again . And Chloe suggested the chicken nachos... they were generous with the portion size and absolutely delicious. Nice environment. Why not?

As soon as me and my buddy got to the bar we both established a stare with Chloe the bartender. We resumed hopefully waiting to get served but no, Chloe kept ignoring us and serving others while drinking on the job. She poured her self a shot before she served me and my bud. I had a long day at work and for me to have to come and sit thru this unpleasant unprofessional bartender is crazy. I hope this helps and improves the bars atmosphere. Thanks You Very Much.

Came to celebrate grad. And Ordered a black and tan and received a pint of pure Guinness , ordered the Scully drink and did not taste good and was served burnt wings. Bars are dark so if you're ordering food, use a light to check what you received. Ambience is cool but drinks and food are a no, might try a different night and order the same stuff to see if that will make a difference. There's One pool table $1 .50 , with plenty of outdoor patio space.

Came to Roxanne's for Long Beach Burger Week, and it was my first time venturing in the California Heights neighborhood. Street parking was easy as it was 2PM on a Wednesday. The interior is very retro with old jukeboxes and bicycles, plus an ornate wooden ceiling. There is also a pool table and a cool outside patio area, so I can see how this place can get lively at night. There was just one server manning both the bar and the tables, but it wasn't too busy so she managed fine. She was friendly, though did forget to bring the waters and utensils. We tried the pupusa burger and the fire grilled poblano burger. The pupusa burger was interesting but tasty, and I liked the crispy fried yuca. The grilled poblano burger had a nice kick to it and a crispy toasted bun. It was served with a large side salad. We also ordered plantain lollipops for dessert, which were warm and yummy, though the Salvadorean cream was a bit salty and I don't like the combo of salty and sweet as much. Overall, better than expected for bar food!

I can't even count how many times I passed by this bar and wondered how it was and I finally went last Thursday on their RnB & LbC night ordered the prickly Piña, and the putacos de asada, neither of which were a disappointment I wish they would've added the curtido with them or put it on the side.

This is hands down my favorite bar in Long Beach! Their happy hour is one of the latest in town ends at 7pm, and the menu is unbeatable. Seriously, I challenge you to find a better happy hour menu. We tried the zucchini sticks, chicken skewers, and the chicharrón yuca fries--every single one was a 10/10. The service was excellent, the patio was clean and well-designed, and the bartenders and patrons created a great vibe. I can't wait to go back!

I visited Roxanne's for the first time during a music and art event, where several vendors set up in the front and back area and live performances happened in the outdoor stage. This place is a neighborhood gem. It's not pretentious or touristy. It is low key, down-to-earth and casual. You enter in the street side and the interior is the main bar and restaurant area. It looks like your typical divey pub but when you exit out in the back, there is a tropical goth tiki bar and another speak easy bar. This is enough to tell me to keep an eye on their programming because they must have fun themed nights. Food is pretty as well as good. Not pictured is chicken taquitos and shrimp tostadas, which were plated nicely. I had the Buffalo wings, side of fries and fried yucca with chicharones. Definitely a spot to order all the apps to share and to sit around and day drink with friends. I love a low key spot with friendly servers, chill atmosphere and good food and strong drinks. I will definitely be back.

Love coming here. It's very retro divey. My friends and I prefer hanging out in the patio and having some cocktails/appetizers. I'm not a fan of the inside because it gets hot and loud if there's Open Mic Night. The appetizers are pretty good with the exception of The skewers which are really really salty. Better off ordering the sliders, empanadas, or spinach dip. I haven't tried any entrees yet. As for cocktails, I like the LB Haze. If you get a chance, come to one of their special events. I like attending the Tiki Rum Social which happens in August. There's also a Tequila event several months after that.

I met this hawt bartender on St Patty's Day at a different bar, and she told me she worked here: Please drop by. You know I wasn't going to turn that invitation down! Roxanne's is on Wardlow, off the Orange exit on the 405 in LBC. This is a real bar where you have to go up to order. I was surprised to find out they make their own whiskey, they have live music on certain nights, and there is a billiards table. I started off w/ a Fuji, a Japanese whisky. I was impressed by their selection of liquor. I saw a bottle of DJ 1942, and a bottle of Don Papa rum (a rum from the Philippines). To eat, I had their cheeseburger. Roxanne's also offers items like pupusas and a pupusa burger. My cheeseburger was really good, and the fries were GBD. The meat was nicely seasoned, juicy and filling. The arugula gave it a nice crunch and peppery taste. I was also surprised that a lot of families come here on a weekday. This is a neighborhood bar. Based on the interaction b/t the bartenders and the clientele, I could tell there was a lot of familiarity. Although I'm glad I dropped by, unfortunately Roxanne's is too far out of the way for me to be a regular. I WFH and just don't get out as much as I used to. Nonetheless, if you are in the area, Roxanne's is a great place to have a drink, grab a bite and enjoy live music on certain nights.

Don't listen to the bartender she's terrible at making recommendations. Got me drunk off fernet, she was chill tho.

Roxanne's is a neat neighborhood bar and grill in Bixby Knolls adjacent neighborhood of California Heights in Long Beach. Nice atmosphere and the food we had was good. We had junk yard fries and margaritas. The margaritas were great and priced very well at $8 during happy hour. The junkyard fries were ok but not as good as I was hoping but were ok. Service was excellent and very friendly. We'll be back sometime when they have live entertainment and when we can bring our dogs on their patio when it's not raining.

Came Friday, white bartender was horrible ! Kept ignoring me then told me I shouldn't come out if I can't afford to tip.

This bar is my go to for most planned or last minute party scene with friends. It's half bar and half club. Beautiful inside and out. The food here is delicious! The host George is always accommodating and welcoming. Very cool vibe. Goes well with Roxanne's. I absolutely recommend this place!

We've come to Roxanne's a handful of times now after discovering it by chance sometime a few months ago. It's not near many other things so we weren't sure what to expect but honestly we had such a good time even though we don't live in the area we made an effort to come back a few times. The music is great, drinks are good too and surprisingly reasonably priced.. Gabriel was amazing and willing to deal with my banter lol... Security is great too.. there was this one guy they thought was lurking around and they were very good about making sure he didn't come into the bar.

I kept passing by this place a lot. I think it's the sign that always catches my attention AMBIANCE: Parking: Street and neighborhood parking. It can get pretty packed so make sure you make time for parking. Seating: Outside and inside seating. Bar seating, group seating, room for maybe 100 people total. Feels: It's in the California Heights area that's maybe a few blocks from Downtown Bixby Knolls. The spot itself is pretty popping. At times it can be pretty calm but pretty eventful during events: karaoke, live music, fight nights, or just a night out. It's a pretty eclectic place with a Western feel but also decorated with 50s throwback cars. FOOD: Pupusa Burger (A-OK) - $19~ Their famous pupusa burger! Two pupusas served as buns, pickled Salvadorian coleslaw, a slice of cheese, and charred angus beef. The salsa gave it a good kick and the fries were moderately seasoned with a good crunch. It was a pretty good mix but I might be inclined to try something else from their menu for a cheaper price. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Chill. Good people, responsive and quick with the service. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Chill environment, good selections, good food. I can see why people like this spot, the design, the location, and the vibes. I can see myself coming back here if I'm looking for a social type of night. TIPS: * Check out their daily specials and events!

The bartender Manuel continued to ignore me for over 30 minutes after my first drink. I want a hot dog and some shots, but he was the only one working and served numerous other customers. I eventually gave up and left and went to another bar.

I have been here many many times, I'm a Longbeach native and I wanted to have my birthday party there. I have called and emailed and I have the impression that I'm being ignored. I will move on and look for another venue, that's not a problem. The problem is a lot of my friends and family are from the are and we are all familiar with the club. I have been there to support my fellow Salvadorians when they have events, such as the comidian hoozay. I spoke to Ricardo on the phone he sounded so excited for me left all my information, no one got back to me, then I emailed I did get a very generic reply, I replied back and haven't heard from Sandy at all. I plan big events so it takes moths of preparation and this is a bad business practice. Will look for a different venue because now I'm thinking I don't want my guest to be treated like this. My girlfriend Mado told me about this place. She's having her birthday party there tomorrow. We can't make the party but wanted to check it out. I ordered to go a Quesadilla Asada that smelled so good that my husband asked me for a slice before we got home. We had eaten it before we realized the two sauces to put on it were still in the bag. Great atmosphere! Entertaining bartender! We're looking forward to checking out the other items on their menu.

Roxanne's has been a long time LBC bar staple in Cal Heights. They are known for their fruity cocktails and more recently, their Pupusa Burger and Fried Chicken Pupusa Sandwich! Roxanne's has also expanded their property over the years. Their speakeasy, The Exhibition Room, is accessed through a phone booth door entrance and guests are only admitted with reservations. They have various types of pop-up events in their large patio area that can host multiple vendors at a time. There's also a dance floor area in which djs play all kinds of danceable genres and hits. In case this wasn't enough, there is now, another tiki bar in the back patio, Marie's Tek Tec! I'm not a big fan of the sweet, fruity cocktails, but the bartenders can make just about anything with their fully stocked bar. Ask for Kai and she'll take really good care of you! She's my favorite bartender there! I got to try whiskey from Roxanne's distillery and it was strong, yet smooth and oaky! I usually come late nights, so I didn't realize they served food, but I heard they have delicious and popular items! The latest craze, being the pupusa sandwiches I mentioned above, will be what I try next! The pupusas were hearty, cheesy and crispy. I also liked the fried zucchini, empanadas and spinach artichoke dip! Hope I can get into the speakeasy, Exhibition Room, soon!

Tonight was my first night going into Roxanne's. When I walked in I was shocked with the amazing ambiance. The barter tender Chris was so charismatic and welcoming.... Also made the most amazing cocktails. Will definitely be coming back regularly.

A staple for those of us going to Cal Heights for food and entertainment. They recently opened their outdoor patio. Makes the experience all worth it. Limited menu but its all good stuff. Roxanne's isn't our staple for "going out night" place. It is a place to go pn the nights you need to fill the week.

3 starts for the nachos with chicken that I don't eat my friend does .. anyway fresh chips is always a plus. Let's get into it We are here on a Saturday night and I asked for the following: Hennessy , Remy, Titos and Azul and they said they ran out- how do you run out on a Saturday night???? At a bar??? Let's ensure we have enough inventory. I invited my friends here because I'm also Salvadoran and it's a good vibin place and the food Is good now I'm embarrassed. Seriously let's restock on liquor and not have any more days like this - We ended up leaving after having some basic drinks with little alcohol in them to visit downtown LBC.

Roxanne's is the perfect blend of great vibes & delicious eats. We came in last night for a LB Haze (Purple cocktail) ! The buffalo wings are a definite highlight, and bartender Chris knows just how to keep the good times rolling. It's a must-visit for anyone craving a fun night out on the town.

Who charges for Tajin on a michelada!? Cmon. Food was good. But the place seems to have too much going on. Nice bar counter, dive music, pool table, speak easy, DJ ETC. I do recommend checking it out but I don't like that dumb Tajin fee.

Waitress was drinking with a group of girls before we arrived. I had reserved a spot for a birthday party, but when we arrived, it was an absolute shit show. Our entire party was confused why the waitress was being rude and aggressive. Guess she really wanted that deposit we put down! Big disappointment, we were looking forward to this place.

Super understaffed, horrible service etc. you're better off going to a chilis. If you want to wait 30 min to order a drink then you'll be ok with this place.

Chill relaxing place. Was there for a birthday party. Only been once but would definitely return back.

Great ambience and friendly service. Drinks are good, beer on tap nice and cold. Just wish the menus had prices - specially when it comes to cocktails.

Fun bar to hang out and have drinks. Been coming here for a while now. Bartenders are always great even when it's busy. Last time I came one of the bartenders decided to charge me for extra drinks. We argued at the end of the night but then decided not to make a rush about it. Be aware of what you order and definitely check your receipt after. Pay with cash if you have to but definitely be aware.

This place is catered for mid 20s to late 30s. Good place to hang out and listen to some music. Dj usually spinning on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Young bouncers, Waiters and Bartenders. All still learning. Cocktails were good.

I was looking for a restaurant to have a small gathering with friends. Roxanne's came to mind because it's in my neighborhood. It didn't really give me a restaurant vibe but had more like a bar atmosphere. Not many seating options inside just a few uncomfortable bar tables and sitting outside in the cold was a no for us. Also, we ordered a few things on the menu that we thought were pricey and just average. As far as the service for the restaurant, our waitress was great.
