Where to Find Shepherd’s Pie, Bangers and Mash, and More British Food in Las Vegas

"Nestled within the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, this Las Vegas Strip pub is home to a charming patio within the resort’s faux-Italian village. After a day of shopping, diners can drop in for half-off drinks from 4 to 6 p.m. and then stay for British pub far. The menu includes Scotch eggs, Welsh beef and rarebit, fish and chips, plus chicken and mushroom pot pie." - Krista Diamond

Royal Britannia Gastropub Debuts at the Grand Canal Shoppes - Eater Vegas

"Sitting next door to the Italian-themed Pizzeria Pronto, sibling restaurant Royal Britannia Gastropub is now serving 'olde-world dishes with a modern twist' within its own highly decorated interior, replacing the former Tintoretto Restaurant & Bakery at the Grand Canal Shoppes. Upgrading vintage pub-style booth seating with modern TVs, USB ports, and outlets, the restaurant has added outdoor seating on the mall’s pedestrian corridor and plenty of seats at the bar, surrounded by imported British antiques and knick knacks. The Hunt Room at the rear of the space also includes a 'fauxplace' to embellish the snug pub ambiance. On the menu, the $15 Royal Britannia poutine, $18 thick cut bacon and eggs, the daily 'Royal Soup,' a $25 New England lobster roll, burgers, and entrees including fish and chips, chicken and mushroom pot pie, a $40 filet mignon, and the $49 'King Cut' Royal Britannia prime rib. Diners can also order a series of alcohol-infused milkshakes, including the $15 'Drunken Jelly,' created with Grand Marnier and topped with a jelly doughnut." - Bradley Martin

Had lunch here. Typical pub. Service and atmosphere is okay. We ordered: Philly Cheesesteak $21.95 Grilled ribeye, peppers, onions, mushrooms, melted provolone cheese, served on toasted hoagie roll. Decent ingredients but the roll was dry and hard. Pub Burger $21.95 Half-pound house blend burger, bacon, fried egg, sautéed onions, provolone, beer mustard, lettuce, brioche bun. Good flavour. As expected. Pub Wings $17.95 Tossed in choice of buffalo, teriyaki, BBQ, or garlic parmesan. We got teriyaki. Not great. Dry and burned. Britannia Banger Bites $14.95 Crispy garlic mashed potato bites with mild sausage, sharp cheddar, stout beer gravy. Meh…and super salty. Winter Fog $18 Vodka, elderflower, fig, cranberry. An elegant floral cocktail. The table-side presentation was cool with the fog bubble and the drink tasted great.

After looking at the lunch restaurant on the Venetian website, we decided to eat here. We booked our reservation online, and our table was available as soon as we arrived. We actually was the second table there, which was shocking with the crowd of people in the grand canal shopping area. The server was really nice and friendly. My burger was very greasy and made my bun very wet slippery to stay in place while I was eating it. Just not really what I expected from seeing pictures of food on the hotel website. The fries were good, though.

If want some super good and reasonable food on the strip, this is the place to come! I got the hamburger with two glazed donuts as the buns. At first I thought it might be too sweet but it was actually perfect! The atmosphere is chill and and all of the staff is super nice. Make sure to check this place out. Also, Mitch is always the best bartender!

If you're in the mood for an amazing steak, or burger/chicken sandwich then this is the place! Everything we had was so good! The steak is what surprised me the most. Tons of flavor and really well cooked. Ignore the bad reviews and try it out for yourself!

Google
With so many choices in the hotel, it was hard to pick one. We went there for lunch after being in the pools all morning. It hit the spot. The food was great and the server was good. They had a lot of old English things on the walls that added to the atmosphere. I wanted a big beer souvenir mug which they didn’t have. It was much smaller than I expected.

The Simple Travels

Google
Not the best and certainly not the worst of choices in the area. Not on restaurant row or the food court, we simply came across this place coming back from the Las Vegas Strip. Very few people were here when we dined, so it could be an option if you’re looking for a less crowded area. We enjoyed our meal, but neither were nothing really out of the ordinary.

The Traveling “Roaming Nomad” Bunny

Google
Not really a British pub, however the fish n chips were good, not much Brit food on the menu so they need to up their game and add bangers and mash …. Sorted! Our server was nice and left us alone … you will enjoy

Google
Good place to eat. The beers are a bit expensive. The avocado pasts, pear salad was really good!! The best was the fried onion strings. The place is difficult to find if you are on the opposite side. Would come here for the fried onion strings again!!

Yelp
Boo! The bartender just told me that this will soon be closing in five days and will be ultimately replaced by a Fogo de Chão Brazilian churasco. It's sad because Mitch my bartender fixed me the best old-fashioned I've ever tasted. So long RBG!

Yelp
Years ago, this place was probably great, but at this point, it feels worn out and tired. The food was passable, but not great. Unfortunately, they were out of many of the items we requested, which was disappointing. The staff seemed rather unenthused to be there, adding to the lackluster experience. I won't be going back, but if you're looking for this type of fare, it's probably the best game in town. Just manage your expectations and be prepared for a hit-or-miss experience.

Yelp
Not sure how this place has 4 stars but helping out other Yelpers that may see this. There are a lot of restaurants in Vegas, or the Venetian that are amazing, we didn't find this to be one of them. Sat very quickly on a holiday weekend, not many diners, we were the only people inside the restaurant but there were a few on the 'outside'. Server brought us water quickly and we were left to look over menu. We ordered and were told they were out of one item and no longer offered another. We opted to just get a boozey milkshake and pretzel at that point. When the shake came out, they were out of one of the ingredients, and instead of telling us that, they just made it anyway and brought it out. Pretzel was ok but both sauces were awful. The mustard was straight horseradish, almost inedible. Points for cute atmosphere but nothing else to write home about here. Seems like ownership doesn't care to update menus, kitchen, and that mentality definitely flows over to the staff. Check out some of the other places in this building would be my recommendation.

Yelp
Don't order their: 1. clam chowder its a soup with lots of potatoes. 2. Fish and Chips - dry no taste and has a hard breading. Service - the lady server needs more customer service training. Ambiance- nice

Yelp
"You know how to take the reservation, you don't know how to keep it". (from the Seinfeld episode "The Alternate Side") Because we were once again in Vegas on a Sunday when the Cowboys were playing, we needed a place to watch the game. I always look for places that will take reservations so we can be certain to get a table and I don't miss any of the action. But when we showed up (on time) for our reservation this Sunday, it was clear that things were not going to go as planned. The host stand was completely frazzled and there was a line of unhappy people ahead of us who also had reservations, but not tables. We were seated (about 25 minutes late) in a booth in the bar area. We had a decent view of the TVs and of course, the bar area was jam-packed. Our server greeted us with a rather long list of all of the things the kitchen was out of - pretty much the entire Happy Hour menu. He was clearly swamped (he was also tending bar) but also managed to be absolutely disinterested in us at the same time. I ordered a beer and he brought me two (one on him) to avoid a second trip - he really said that. Makes you feel special, right? As they were out of the things we thought about ordering, we asked our server for recommendations. He steered us towards the spinach and artichoke dip to start, which was really terrible. The chips were stale and the dip was very greasy and clearly not fresh. My SO had the fish and chips, which was not awful but he needed more tartar sauce and there was no opportunity to ask for that. The fries/chips were also greasy and tasted old. We never did see our server again. We finally flagged down someone else, a really nice woman who was working in another section, so we could get our check and leave. There is nothing about this place that would make me want to come back. Bad food and bad service.

Yelp
Deonte at the bar was wonderful! Highly recommend! Drinks and food were well worth it!!

Yelp
They have Kilkenny beer! On the downside, the food took 30 minutes on a Tuesday lunch which was almost empty. Prices are... Vegas high. fish and chips was ok but so much on the menu was unimaginative, bland and salty. Oh and it's quite a slog to find it. Service was slow but again the beer is good.

Lyndsey F.

Yelp
This place is incredibly noisy even with just a few people in the restaurant the conversation echo so bad. I ordered a salad and it was fairly good! The other person in my party also ordered a salad and enjoyed it. The cocktail I ordered was beautiful but not good at all. This is a drink I have drank many variations of so I was expecting to enjoy it. The service was great though! The waitress was very nice and helpful.

Yelp
We were here during CES so we were happy to find a spot here we could book for dinner. It's in the Grand Canal Shoppes in the Venetian, right next to Smith and Wollensky. We got there a little early and scored a great table on the outside ring. I started with a melon cocktail that was refreshing and strong, just what I needed after a long day on my feet. Our server was really great- she steered us away from items she didn't think were worth it so we all wound up happy with our meals. Food is solid pub fare, nothing special but good. Not too expensive and something for everyone.

Yelp
Royal Britannia Gastro Pub 3377 Las Vegas Blvd S Ste 2085, Las Vegas NV 89109 (Inside the Venetian) June 4, 2023 Sunday - 6:30 PM for dinner 1 Adult Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 4 stars Service - 5 stars Background - Looking for something light at the Venetian to eat. The Italian restaurant menus seemed to be on the heavier side. That is how I ended up at a British theme restaurant in an Italian themed casino . Atmosphere - Never been to Britain but I would imagine this bar would fit right in there. Food Drinks - Just breaking all the rules, I went with a local beer not a British one. The Atomic Duck is a classic. Dinner (really just an app) - I went with their Giant Bavarian Pretzel. So large I didn't finish it, but I knew I had a late lunch and was going with something small. The pretzel crust was not a tough exterior I would expect from a German pretzel. The cheese did was alright, and mustard was very watery. I was worried about dripping everywhere when I dipped my pretzel in it. Service - My bartender was friendly and fast. Future - Sure why not.

Yelp
We stopped in while doing a little wandering around. Ivan was our bartender and he was great! Very friendly made excellent cocktails. He made a delicious espresso martini with a chocolate sauce rim. The fried pickles were yummy and definitely could have eaten a second helping. We also enjoyed a large pretzel with beer cheese and mustard.
google avatar

Yelp
This was a fun location to come eat inside the Venetian. If you're looking for a pub with some good beer and pub food, definitely go here! We had the giant pretzel for an appetizer and omg the mustard they serve with it is so good! I love horseradish so this was um yum!! Also comes with cheese. Hubby and I shared the Royal Burger and fish and chips. Burger was decent and fish and chips were SPECTACULAR! It's one of their specialties and they do that stuff perfectly! I was going to get the wings but I'm glad I got talked out of them because I saw someone else get them and they looked really small and dry. Didn't eat them so don't take my word for it but I'm a wing fanatic and these just looked meh. Service was great even though he was pretty busy. Had the bar and some bar booths to himself and it being a Friday night, we had to wait for a few things a little longer than I'd like. But everyone was super nice. Oh! Sweet potato fries were my personal fave! Hope you enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
Cool pub. The steak frites were delicious and I highly recommend it. It's a pretty decent size NY strip. The beer is good and the service is excellent. I'll come back next time I'm in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food and beer here. Menu was ok( not a lot for me re food i like) but i found something. Service was A+. Clean restaurant, cool decor and lots of tvs to see sports. Thought most of the tvs seemed run down and had this blue coloring that made it weird looking. Prices were on par with most hotel bars. Over all I would eat here again. Not bad at all.
google avatar

Tatiana M.

Yelp
This place was empty when we came at noon on a Friday. Our server that totally looked like (Ryan Gosling) was very helpful with the food and beer suggestions. My boyfriend is more of an IPA guy, while I enjoy a pale ale with food. They did take a little while to give us the food, despite the fact it was us and one other table. We order the royal burger with the onion strings and was very juicy, good flavors and size. The onion stings were the perfect pair for the burger, I though I was gonna miss the fries, but I didn't. You can't go wrong here; There is plenty of food in their portions and so many beers you don't even know what to get! I recommend.
google avatar

Carrie P.

Yelp
Food was quite tasty and reasonably priced for Las Vegas. The bangers has a nice kick to them. Fish and chips were good though I think the fish could have used less batter. Otherwise I would recommend this place for a casual dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
The 5 Star Review is mainly for Jasmin. She was so great to our table! We had a party of 7. She made sure we had everything we needed. Constantly checked on us and even made sure our drinks were properly made! She was absolutely amazing! The food and appetizers were also great. Great place!
google avatar

Young K.

Yelp
I liked the feel of a British pub, but not quite authentic as it is located inside of a shopping mall. A bit disappointed that they were out of Guinness. The prices here are very reasonable compared to other restaurants in a casino. My fish & chips were okay and the portions were modest. Overall a decent experience. I did like that our waitress was friendly and informative with prompt service.

Yelp
I've been to this bar a few times before and have always had a wonderful experiences with the servers and bartenders! I visited the bar today and our bartender, Adam made this experience incredibly distasteful. I sat down with a few friends & while I never try to make this a point, we were the only people of color in the bar. The minute we sat down. He did not great us. He tossed napkins at us, placed menus down, and walked away. He then came back and asked "what do you want?" Another group of white guests came and sat at the bar & he was incredibly kind to them - welcomed them in and his overall tone was just different. We ordered 2 tequila red bulls (with well tequila) and one Punk Rock Cider. When he finally came back to us, he rudely placed our drinks down and then walked away. When we asked for the check, he charged us for casamigos (which is not listed as one of their wells). We told him that we asked for wells and he was incredibly rude and said "well you drank casamigos." This experience was incredibly disheartening. If you do decide to visit, especially if you are a person of color, be aware of Adam.

Yelp
This is a nice little pub. The service was very friendly and the food was good. We shared some stuffed fries and sliders and a couple of drinks. It's pretty much what you would expect it to be.
google avatar

Ashwin N.

Yelp
Enjoyed our time here. The flatbread was great! Arielle was our waiter and she was very helpful and quick to make sure we got what we needed. Overall, calm place to grab a bite to eat, solid prices, and good food! Recommend!
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
I only leave a less than positive review so that the owners/management get insight on how to improve things. Not sure what was up with the hostess/front of the house, but not only did she not greet us, but made no eye contact. I thanked her for seating us and nothing. Then we waited. And waited. It was 5PM on a Friday night, but only one other booth occupied. The bar tender watched us wait, since he had no customers either. He didn't motion either to someone to come to our table or that he'd take care of it. We never saw a server and decided there are so many other choices for dinner at Venetian/Palazzo we left.

Joshua A. W.

Yelp
Great service, food and drinks. Alexandra is the best! I highly recommend the NY Strip.
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went here for Easter Sunday. The restaurant was pretty quiet, we got serviced very quickly. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I'm giving this a four out of five stars because we were really looking forward to having a milkshake and the milk shake machine was down We shared the donut burger. I do have to say this was quite delicious. I think the only thing it was missing was may be a side of syrup. Just an idea. The salad was very good, though I didn't eat much of it because I devoured my side of the burger and fries. I would be willing to try a few other hamburgers and see how they compare to similar restaurants on the strip.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I will be writing my review based on my experience with the service not on the food. We never got a chance to eat the food. When we arrived at the restaurant everything seemed fine. Our order was taken from the bartender Adam. I guess he takes orders if you sit in the bar area. We ordered a stater and two entree's and a glass of wine. Our wine came out quickly and was a nice crisp white wine. Things seemed to be going pretty smoothly. Then everything changed. Adam was too busy chatting up the few people at the bar that he did not take notice that our starter was at the pass window. From my seat I had a clear view of the window. It sat there for about 5 minutes before I started to time it. 12 minutes later our entree's were brought to the table. I informed the waitress which was not Adam that we never received our starter and we would like that before our entree. She took away the entree and went to the window saw our starter there and went to speak with Adam. 7 minutes later a different waitress brought out starter out. So by now it was sitting there for over 24 minutes. At this point I told waitress we would just like to pay for our drinks and not eat here. Adam brought our check we paid and he literally threw our change on our table and stormed off. I asked to speak with management. Anna the manager came out I explained what happened. We received no apology, just a flat "ok" and she walked away.I guess that is how they treat customers. I would definitely advise not to come to this restaurant. There are so many good establishments in the Venetian you should not waste your time our money coming here.

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Just had a quick lunch on a lazy Sunday in Vegas. Our server Arielle did an outstanding job of helping us select our food and cautioned about a spicy dressing on my kale salad. Full marks for her.
google avatar

Ginger J.

Yelp
First of all it's a cute place- fun atmosphere. We chose it because we wanted burgers and boozy shakes. When it came time to order we were told there were no shakes that night- seriously? Also- no pears for the pear salad and several of the signature cocktails we tried to order were also out of key items. We ended up not ordering drinks at all- which was super disappointing. The food was decent- service was slow. Not someplace I would go back to again. Bummer.

Trish B.

Yelp
Alexandra was a great server! The portions are HUGE, and the food is tasty! Good quality. I had fish and chips while hubby had Philly Cheesesteak. We were over full!
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
The food was terrible. Fries appetizer was undercooked & greasy. Salad was white part of iceberg lettuce. Service was greatv& so we're drinks.

Grace C.

Yelp
Our server Sarah screwed up my order, our friend's order, and then our check! I was so disappointed but did not want to make a fuss. Furthermore the service was very slow.

Christina H.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our lunch today. Not pictured is the fish and chips but it was very good! The flatbread with pear, Gorgonzola and balsamic glaze was super tasty. Pretty cocktails, too. Service was good.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
The drinks were amazing and the food was not worth it - we only got the Bangers but regretted it. Perfect for drinks, however.

Yelp
A fine, solid lunch experience was had at Royal Britannia Gastro Pub. We had just arrived to Vegas and was looking to grab a quick meal. When my party of four showed up there wasn't anyone else at the restaurant and it appeared to be lightly staffed. Regardless our waitress was wonderful. She took a moment to warm to us, but once she did everything was great. The kitchen second guessed our order and didn't give us what our waitress input but she was able to correct it and comped us bacon for the extra wait. Not that we cared. We were in Vegas on vacation. Where else did we have to go? The food was good! I had a tasty sandwich, the Moscow mule was solid, and we all had a good time.
google avatar

Janet B.

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick snack and drink while shopping in the Canal Shops. The pretzel was HUGE and the sauces delicious. The best part was the outside was just a little crunch but the inside was soft and perfect temp. The restaurant is larger inside than it appears. We opted to sit on the 'patio' which is under the Venetian clouds so you feel like your outside. Server was terrific!

Todd S.

Yelp
Ally provided us great service and the food was hot and delicious!!! We tried the Steak Frites appetizer, Caesar salad, Reuben, Fish and Chips, and chef's special lemon chicken on pasta. Would recommend for ambiance and service as well.

Yelp
Open mic comedy on Tuesday nights. Cheap, early breakfast deal. Fun crowd. Close to home. We like it here

Yelp
My first and last visit most likely. I was alone and, although I was seated promptly, it seemed to take forever for a server to arrive. Many passed by me including the hostess but no one ever seem to get the idea that I was sitting there alone. Finally Mitchell came on the seen. Seems no one knew who was in charge of my booth across from the bar. The menu is nothing like on Yelp. It has been reduced to a very few items. I wanted the chicken and mushroom pie but it is no longer available. Nothing left on the menu is of a British Pub. The menu has 2 salads, 2 hamburgers, 1-2 other sandwich and some appetizers and fish and chips. That is it. Speaking of the later, or did come quickly, but the 3 pieces of fish were VERY tiny. See photo. The side of Coke slaw was very little. I also ordered a Newcastle draft off the menu but it is now only in bottles. Is there management at this place? Mitchell was a good server but I will not be back.
google avatar

Alia Z.

Yelp
This place has a cool atmosphere and a neat "outside" patio in the canals. I had their banger and mash bites, Caesar salad, and tried some of my friend's pretzel. The food is OK - very fatty and salty, and the Caesar dressing was mostly garlic, not much anchovy. The pretzel was awesome, huge and very tasty, although the sauces weren't that good. Service is super friendly!
google avatar

Geralyn M.

Yelp
Dined here last year and unsure why we returned last night. Still questioning that decision. Where to begin.. split an appetizer, which was decent. Decided on a salad which was served without all of the ingredients. Let alone we told our server we were splitting. No utensils or extra plates. Felt undervalued.
google avatar

Terri B.

Yelp
We stopped in for an early afternoon snack for lunch along with drinks. We were seated right away, very fun vibe and the staff was really friendly. We opted for a pretzel, a beer and glass of Prosecco. The pretzel is huge and absolutely scrumptious. Of course it is, it is fried. So the outside is crispy with salt and the inside soft and luscious. The spicy mustard and ranch style dipping sauce paired perfectly with the pretzel. Would love to go back and try a meal.

Colleen F.

Yelp
We had great service with Jasmine!! She was attentive and friendly! Recommend the chicken sandwich.

Yelp
The foods were really great! I really liked the spinach and artichoke dip as well as the fish and chip!

Yelp

Yelp
Great happy hour, drinks were super yummy! Our server Jazz, was super friendly . And the fried pickles were good. Tried a few of their specialty drinks they were all great including the coastal melon, aperol spritz, sparkling Britannia. Def a great spot to snack drink and chill. A bunch of tvs also for the sports fans out there!

Yelp
Fantastic experience at Royal Britannia Gastro Pub tonight. Alexandra was a phenomenal server, and truly heightened our dining experience with great recommendations and was attentive and courteous throughout. She deserves a raise.

Yelp
This place was a delightful surprise. We wanted to go eat elsewhere but the wait was too long so we took a chance here. The food was so good. Fish and chips on point. My mother described her burger as the best she ever had and that says something, normally she won't finish even a quarter of burgers she eats... this was devoured and fast I might add. I had chicken and waffles. The chicken was moist. Waffles fluffy. Perfect lunch meals. Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5 Food: 5/5 Overall: 4.7/5

Mark F.

Yelp
We called and they said happy hour well drinks every day 3 -6pm. We then went online to see menu. We go there Friday at 5pm and bartender said happy hour is not offered anymore. We said we just called and then showed menu online. We then ordered two drinks and spoke with bartender again and he said he would approve just once after this first round. He said mgr was end of bar and never approached us. Nobody was at this place and now I know why - don't go.

Yelp
Had a reservation for 9 people and 1-1/2 hr before l the restaurant called and said they had someone book the entire restaurant and so we no longer have a table. They recommended another restaurant owned by same company. Stated they had plenty of seats, when I called they said they were booked and had no idea the other restaurant said to call them

Yelp
My server Alexandra was amazing. The service was fantastic. The food recommendations were on point. This dining experience was the best of my Vegas trip
