Super delicious and authentic! You know the food is going to be good when there’s only Chinese people in the restaurant and it’s a bit grimy inside. They were super friendly and spoke Cantonese and the food came out minutes after we ordered. I don’t know how they made the food so fast. Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned well, including the steamed oysters. It’s best to go with a big group and eat family style. I would definitely come again.

Worst lunch experience ever. Me and my wife went for lunch and we ordered 7 different dimsums. Among them theres one broke piece of plastic wrap mixed in the beef rice roll, and then the shrimp dumping was served with uncooked raw shrimp. We took big bites without notice and swallowed half of it. This is really disgusting and it happened in one lunch! Then once we report this to the waiter with glasses, he just rudely refuse to cancel the order, and said “what else do you want?. Will never come here again and I will spread this message to my community too so that people know the food security here is really terrible. I will consider report to the local food health department too. Just hope me and my family won’t develop food poisoning because of this

Happy with our lunch and was our go to place prior to COVID. Do miss the cart but ordering yields hot dim sum dishes. Service and quality haven’t really change, no issue with service and the food is good. Note on my how I rate. Sharing because I think, and assuming, most may think 3* is not a good review. 5* Amazing, great food, service and/or experience and worth the travel. Example we regularly drive to Austin from San Antonio for Uchi 4* Food, service and/or ambiance exceeds expectations 3* Average/good or meets expectations for food or service and anything 3* and above I would revisit 2* Food or service is not at acceptable expectations 1* Avoid

We just went there last Sunday to celebrate my high school friend for her 60th birthday. The food wasn't good and disappointed. The place was very busy at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The dumplings didn't have much flavor, the noodles weren't good and didn't taste fresh but the shrimp fry rolls were delicious. The hot tea didn't have much flavor either.

Very fast to prepare dinner, great service, order fish which was fresh that was excellent.yam leaf was too tough , hard to eat. Duck, beef with chines broccoli, stir tofu with mushroom,pan fried bitter melons with egg, the one was best was stir rice vermicelli with salty fish & shrimp. Pork chop was not quite good , but over worth to go

Actually, it's 3.5 ⭐️ only. Food came pretty fast. Good taste, big enough serving and reasonably priced. But my wife is pure Chinese who has experienced authentic Chinese food around. I gave it a 4 for the fried rice. Wheelchair ♿️ accessible and willing to go back.

Most of the dishes we had were quite good. Food came out very fast and servers were quick and polite. We had the beef roll, soup dumplings, pork siu mai, beef chow fun, salt & pepper tofu, Chinese broccoli, shrimp and chive dumplings, , and sticky rice. Very good indeed! I will add that their sticky rice is among the best I've had locally.

Love this place for dim sum! I grew up in NYC and this place has the same vibe as a lot of restaurants in Chinatown, so it felt familiar and comforting. There was a bit of a crowd and about a 5 minute wait, so we were seated quickly. No, they're not going to wait on you hand and foot here, especially when it's busy, but the service isn't bad, either. We came here recently for a Sat AM dim sum, and were not disappointed. We filled out the ordering slip left on the table, sipped some jasmine tea, and within a few minutes we had piles of food before us. The shrimp dumplings were a delicious trip down memory lane. We shared some pork dumplings, and they were just as yummy. Steamed pork buns and sweet red bean cake were also very good. We finished off with some egg custard cream buns, which were perfect. Prices are certainly fair for what you get, and we'll definitely be back here next time we're on the east side.

The service here was extremely disappointing. The servers were rude and unprofessional from the start, no greeting, just handed us a paper to mark down our order. And I specifically asked for no pork, yet the shrimp rolls still had bits of pork in them, which was very frustrating and felt careless. The food itself was just okay and the atmosphere didn't feel very clean and overall everything was below average. To make things worse, it took about 10 minutes before anyone came over when we were ready to check out, only to find out we had to pay at the front (something no one mentioned). Definitely not a place I'd return to.

Fast service, food comes out SO quick. It's what you expect from a fast paced, busy resturant. Lots of chatter, and things go by quickly. You'll need to flag a server down if you want something to happen. Dim sum review: 5/5 Their dim sum is very solid. Shrimp seafood, shrimp crystals, and rice shrimp are my favorite. The custard bake egg is a solid finisher. Chinese food review: 5/5 The reason why I give a 5 star is for the live seafood. They have delicious live crab, or live prawns.

Dim sum review only. Previously this spot was King's Chinese restaurant, I'm guessing it really just changed ownership or management, because the interior hasn't changed much to me. We only come for dim sum and I've gotten take out dim sum from here as well. Be warned, weekends are super busy, so we usually come early or late. They do have a Yelp waitlist kiosk to sign up at the entrance. The dim sum is pretty decent. I'm not sure if they use the same chefs/cooks from the previous owner, but it doesn't seem different to me. You just order on the form they hand you when seated. So there are no carts (honestly, I wish they would bring those back). The food is served promptly, which I appreciate, since I'm usually hungry when we're there. Our usual order includes Shumai, Har Gow, Shrimp & Chives dumplings, Spare ribs with black bean sauce, Bean curd rolls, and soy sauce chow mein - so I can attest that these are good. Periodically we'll switch out items, but very rarely.

Another great dim sum lunch for us on a Sunday morning. Not any problem getting a table for two but small line formed after. Dont know if we will ever get dim sum in the CID any longer given it's much safer to park and dine here with the same food. Most people around us were speaking Cantonese or mandarin. Wish the north side had good dim sum!!

Excellent Cantonese dinner here in the 'Irvine of Seattle'. Bok Choy with oyster mushroom was lightly seasoned and sautéed, very delicious. Seafood tofu clay pot was also a winner, with higher seafood-to-tofu ratio than other restaurants. The steamed whole fish (black sea bass), lightly sauced and perfectly flakey, was our favorite. Can't speak for other low ratings, you just need to know what to order. Our dishes were light in sauce but BIG in flavors.

When you can speak the language, you're treated like royalty. But be patient if English is your preferred language - the staff tries hard to answer your questions. The food is awesome though

Yummy Cantonese food at a great price. Flavors were a little salty but good. Had some dim sum too and that was good. The service was really friendly, especially for Chinese restaurant, the server was so friendly to our kids and reminded us they had free green bean dessert. The atmosphere is basic but nice for Chinese spot. Restaurant is a chain from Vancouver so has good reputation.

Formerly known as King's Chinese Restaurant, I went here with family during their dim sum hour at around 12pm on a weekday. There were a ton of people already seated inside the fancy dine-in area, with tons of seating that can fit anywhere from 4 people to a whole party. The place has its own parking lot that is shared with several other nearby businesses, so it's bound to get packed. All our food was brought out relatively fast, and was paced very well. Servers would promptly come by once in a while to help remove empty dishes and refill our water and tea when we needed it. For the dishes, we got many dishes, not all of which I ate. For those I did eat: - The shrimp dumplings, beef tripe, radish cake and steamed egg custard cream buns were huge and fresh. - This place is one of few dim sum restaurants I know that serve pork stomach with pepper sauce. Pepper was not overdone on this one and tasted great. - The Chinese donut rice roll was one of my favorites, and somehow retained a good portion of its crispiness despite being near sauce. This is a far place for me to grab dim sum, but I recommend here for anyone wanting to grab some in Bellevue where the food is not only fresh, but also not too elevated in terms of prices!

Really fast service, 15-20 min for our 5 takeout dishes. Nice lady at the front. A little skimpy on the protein on some of the dishes, but also big portions and cheaper than some other places. Flavors on point, although could be a touch more flavorful for some dishes.

Good dim sum place in the east side. Seemed very busy for dinner. But great to have a waitlist option through Yelp!! Pre covid I have been here and it was called kings. Food seemed about the same. Service was quick and the domain Started coming in quickly. Honey walnut prawns was really delish. The fried rice portion was very generous and worth the price. They had plenty seafood options on the menu for folks that don't eat pork and beef. The seating and decor is quite spacious and well kept. Parking can be a little tight as the parking lot seemed very busy, Definitely recommend this place for dim sum !

Fast, attentive service and their tea isn't watered down, which I truly appreciate. Overall, the dim sum is all pretty good, some are a hit or miss and on the blander sider but really depends on the day. Great for big groups as there are several big round tables with lazy susans. One major annoyance is their front door sensor ("ding dong") is extremely loud and during the weekend rush hour it is constantly going off and very distracting.

Love to sip the jasmine tea while studying the menu. Both dim sum and variety of dishes on menu are nicely presented and tasty. The servers are attentive and friendly. This has become a favorite!!!!

We came to Royal Kitchen to test them out. I feel they did well enough for us to come back. Their service was good for a Chinese restaurant on the eastside. We came in the late morning and tried the dim sum. The portions were generous and the food was very good. Tasty hargow and shumai along with chicken feet were just a few of the choices we made. These are the standard dim sum choices. I believe they did adequately enough to warrant a return. The restaurant layout is not much changed since we last came many years ago when they had a different name (and possibly a different owner). I would recommend everyone give this restaurant a try.

Terrible dining experience at Royal Kitchen Seafood Restaurant. They closed out our bill before all our dishes even arrived, which felt very unprofessional and disrespectful. The service was poor, with staff showing little regard for customers. When we checked the bill, we found that they had overcharged us, resulting in a confusing and inaccurate total. After pointing out the issue, they refunded $36.25, but the whole experience left a bad impression. I wouldn't recommend this place based on the lack of transparency and poor service. 用餐体验非常糟糕。他们在我们所有菜品上齐之前就提前结账，感觉非常不专业，也让人觉得不受尊重。服务态度差，员工对顾客的态度冷淡。在我们核对账单时，发现多收了费用，账目混乱且不准确。我们指出问题后，他们退还了36.25美元，但整个体验还是非常糟糕。基于不透明的账单和差劲的服务，真的不推荐这家餐厅

I usually order "to go" dim sum when I crave dim sum. I usually order shrimp dumpling, shu mai, BBQ Pork Bum. They are always quick and get things done! Service is friendly and they understand my broken Chinese and so kind. Weekend is usually busy but to-go order is usually ready in 20minute. If you are dine in at restaurant, I recommend to walk-in and be on the waitlist.

Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall just outside of Bellevue this dim sum spot offers a wide variety of choices and each came out piping hot. Instead of the usual har gao we opted for the shrimp and scallop style and it was good with a nice amount of shrimp and scallop tucked inside a thin layered wrapping. The tofu skin was another of our top picks as were the chicken feet. The stuffed eggplant was just OK as was the taro football with minced pork. The price point was good and judging by the packed crowd you can tell it's a favorite place to eat. Looking around I noticed many of the dinner style plates were large orders so may opt to give dinner a try one day. The service was good and they came to our table regularly.

Royal Kitchen took the place of the old Kings Chinese Restaurant off of Northup Way. My family had been when it was Kings and also once earlier this year when it converted to Royal Kitchen, but we honestly weren't super impressed as the food wasn't very tasty and the dishes weren't all that clean. With few Cantonese restaurants to choose from on the Eastside though, especially now that Red Bamboo closed, my family decided to give Kings a second chance. My family came here for dinner this past Sunday night a little before 6pm, and the restaurant was PACKED. We were surprised at how crowded it was considering that it wasn't even prime dinner time hour yet. They have a waitlist kiosk, but we ended up waiting at least 15-20 minutes for a table. Kings has a good array of standard Cantonese dishes including honey walnut prawns, hot pots, whole fish, Peking duck, fish maw soup, egg drop soup, hotpot, chow fun, chow mein, etc.. They also may be the only restaurant on the eastside that serves dim sum all day and night (usually you have to go to International District if you want evening or late night dim sum). We ordered the FISH MAW SOUP, the SEAFOOD TOFU HOT POT, half a PEKING DUCK, DRIED SCALLOP FRIED RICE, and GARLIC PEAVINE. The FISH MAW SOUP was nice and hot. It had lots of fish maw pieces, and a nice thick consistency. However, the soup was slightly under-salted. While better than being overly salted, we had to add table salt to it to fully enjoy the soup. The SEAFOOD TOFU HOT POT (my favorite dish) was very generous in seafood (shrimp, scallop, squid, fish) and also had fried tofu, mushroom, and napa cabbage. I used to get this dish all the time at Red Bamboo, but since they closed, I have not found a restaurant that makes it the same way they do. While this hot pot was better (and much more generous) than the ones I've tried at Top Gun, Mai Place, and Yummy Garden, it still fell flat in taste. The slurry (sauce) was quite bland and needed more seasoning. The PEKING DUCK also fell somewhat flat. It was passable, but the duck needed to be marinated more. The skin also just wasn't as crispy as it should be. It came with the standard hoisin sauce, scallions, and white buns. The DRIED SCALLOP FRIED RICE was fantastic. It was very flavorful with lots of shredded dried scallop on the top, giving the dish lots of umami and savory flavors. It also had pieces of Chinese broccoli stem (gai lon) and green onion. Lastly, the GARLIC PEAVINE was excellent. It probably ties with the dried scallop fried rice in terms of the best dishes we had that night. The peavine was green, tender, and perfectly marinated in garlic sauce. I would order this again. The restaurant is in alright shape. There are chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, but there is not much other decor besides a few Chinese New Years posters. The bathrooms are clean, but the doors to the bathroom and stalls are uncomfortably sticky... Service was great once we got seated. They were quick to bring out our food and brought all our dishes out at once. The waiter refilled our tea and also brought out complimentary warm tapioca dessert at the end of our meal. While this visit was a much better experience than our last, some of dishes were still a miss for us. With that said, Kings serves much bigger portions and uses higher quality ingredients than its other competitors on the Eastside, and at a comparable, if not slightly cheaper price. Overall: 3.5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3.5/5 for atmosphere

Came here on a Saturday morning for dim sum! There was a wait so expect to be put on a waitlist if you come during peak hours, but we were seated within 20 mins. The place is busy and bustling! Service was quite fast and the food was good. Note that if you want congee it's on the dinner menu only, but you can ask for it. The options are affordable and we went home with a full stomach between 6 people.

Bathroom experience: Muah. it's a chinese restaurant. What do you expect? OK. Anthony Bourdain would be like...I'm here for the food. You think you're going to get a TOTO Neorest NX2 Dual Flush. (Look it up on Amazon). NOT. My Take: Food is Good. Consistent. Lots of Cantonese and Mandarin being spoken there. What do I know, I'm an ABC. But... The flavors take me back to childhood., growing up In The CIty. The 415. Great Star Movie Theatre (Diamond-Sing) Chinese Hospital on Jackson Street. (Where Bruce Lee was born.) Lots of OG Uncles and Aunties with their families eating at Royal Kitchen. Family dinners around the large round tables. The sounds of clinking dishes, talking and laughter. Dim Sum, Har Gao, Siu Mai, egg plant with fish cake. Char Siu Bao, steamed or baked...all good. My older brother's favorite: Wu Gok - (Dim Sum) The Most Delicate Dumpling Taro Puff. My Beloved's Fav: Steamed chicken feet. Don't knock it. Try it! It's all about the texture and the sauce it gets cooked in. My Fav: Tender, super tender, Beef Chow Fun. The Beef is thinly sliced and soooooo tender, with the wide flat noodles...Order it DRY style....Wet style if you like your chow fun drowned in sauce... Ping me on Yelp. Amazing Hong Kong food, this place is a gem! Big portions, fresh seafood, and great service. would highly recommend for authentic hong kong food in seattle. we got the lobster, shrimp, beef and veggies and it was all delicious.

Solid food, nice folks working there. However there is better here in Bellevue and of course - Chinatown Seattle. Even Lynnwood is rocking a pretty darn good dim sum place.

Here for dinner as we wanted to have some authentic Cantonese food and Royal Kitchen fit the bill. We were going to order 4 dishes but since we were just visiting and didn't want leftovers, we decided to order only 3: fish congee, combination claypot, sautéed green beans and chicken feet! Yes you can order dim sum at dinner. The service was friendly and attentive and portions are hearty and tasty! We had to take the green beans and rice after all!

This place was not busy at all and was able to get seated right away. Tried some new-to-us and popular dim sum dishes on this visit. The steamed egg custard needs work--runny and the liquid egg yolk was grainy, like whoever mixed it with sugar did not let the sugar dissolve. It was very messy to eat. Overall good quality food and prompt service. Enjoyable with family.

Not sure why the ratings for this restaurant are so low. Royal Kitchen's dim sum is easily the best in Bellevue and doesn't lose out to some of the more popular locations in Chinatown like Jade Garden in my opinion. The fact that the restaurant is always packed on the weekends speaks for itself. Pros: - Food comes out pretty quick (my personal favorites are shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings sui mai, radish cake, pan-fried chives and shrimp dumpling, and deep fried taro). - Portions are decently sized and warm/crispy. - I like to eat my dim sum dishes with sauces, so I appreciate that there is soy sauce and sambal sauce already on the table. - You can join the waitlist via the Yelp app. Just keep in mind that they seem to be strict about the entire party being at the restaurant when it is your turn to be seated. Cons: - You might have to wait a while if you don't avoid peak traffic time. I would go right as they open (10am on Sat/Sun), but you can also get lucky sometimes between 11-12pm as the first round of dim-sum goers are leaving. - Service can be hit or miss. Sometimes it can take a while to get your check, get to-go boxes, pay for your meal, etc. I find this understandable given how busy they usually are.

Not sure how I missed this place on my quest for Chinese food on the eastside, but I made it in today and here is my review. I recently read 40% of Bellevue was Asian, so I would not only expect more Chinese, but certainly better than I've tasted. Entering this place, they had a health department chore of OK. Not a strong score as 2 are better. Once seated, they appeared unhappy we didn't want Dim Sum. I'd reviewed the menu ahead of time and knew I wanted to try the Potstickers and Chicken with Green Onion and Ginger. I've never had the latter but love Ginger Beef which I assumed was the same dish with beef. Potstickers were okay, large in size, but didn't have that sausage flavor that I love. The chili oil was also sweet and not hot, which also dulled the flavor. When the main course came, I saw a lot of red onion, some green and no ginger. Once I tried it, it didn't taste as expected. There was no bite from ginger the sauce was basically soy sauce and it just tasted like cafeteria food. I didn't like it. I stopped the server and told her I didn't see, or taste ginger and she looked at the dish and said she didn't see any either, then she walked away. Hot tea was served, but we had to ask for water and in the end, I didn't get the impression that service was important here. The restroom was also filthy and smelled terrible, which could be part of the low health score. This place is in too nice of a neighborhood to not offer better. Clearly, we won't be back.

Dim sum is pretty good. Service is good. The Egg Tart Buns are a unique item that I really enjoyed The texture of stuff is a nice solid snap when you bite into it, it's great!

I was very impressed with Royal Kitchen's food and service! They serve dim sum all day, plus their regular menu. From the outside, it may not look like much, but inside looks very authentic. From the decor, the tables, and the live fish tanks, it was legit. I'd honestly give a 4.5 rating for this place. I knocked off half a star due to the fact that when I walked in, no one greeted you. I had to ask if I needed to sign in on the tablet for a table for 2.

First time eating here as Royal Kitchen. Change of ownership. We just ordered seafood crispy chow mein , and a dim sum dish...fried mashed taro ball The size of the noodle dish was generous, probably at least 50% more than most restaurants. Seafood included shrimp, fish filet, and calamari with bok Choy. Sauce was not very flavorful and contained a lot of cornstarch which made it gooey. Probably will try something else next time The fried taro balls were tasty. I have had better, but a lot of dimsum restaurants don't offer this dish. We also ordered green tea. Overall experience was good. Wait staff were courteous and checked in several times. I will go back to try other dishes

Really love this place for dine-in or takeout! The portions are very generous; I've always had leftovers after a meal. Particularly love the option for all-day dimsum, in addition to the dinner dishes. Favorites for our family include the House Special Chow Mein which you can ask for crispy-noodle style and the chicken corn soup.

A group went in for dinner on lunar new year day. Ambiance is nice but I have to say the service needs improvements. One of the wait staff was extremely rude when we asked for some items as if I am there to bother him. Sir you work in a restaurant. We thought it could be due to the lunar new year they are busy and rude but after reading some of the reviews here, it is NOT. Now on to the food. The fried chicken was great portion but really dry. Their chicken egg drop soup was bland. Salt and pepper prawn was a disappointment because it came all peeled. I was not expecting that. I do expect that they should have asked the table whether they wanted the prawns peeled or not. Salt and pepper squid was rubbery - again, wow. Beef chow mein was the only tasty dish. Do better, Royal Kitchen. And treat your patrons like customers.

We drove down to try out some Dim Sum after seeing a review of the place. Our usual spot is in the city, but living out of the city, we don't typically like to drive down there. Dumplings were delicious, they were very full! We tried a few types and they were all great. A little disappointed on the salt and pepper squid, I def wasn't expecting it to be deep fried. And not sure where the salt and pepper was. Radish cakes were alright, it was missing something but I couldn't quite put my finger on it! The tea was delicious. You can't beat loose leaf jasmine! We also had the sesame balls which were great. It was packed for Sunday lunch. Don't expect a quiet environment. Everyone is lively and out with their families. Service was very prompt. Overall we would likely come back and try some new items.

Looking for a new place to try we decided to give this place a try. we have eaten at its predecessors and wanted to see what the new place is like. we opted to order online for to go pick up. We placed an order online at 3:30 and selected a 4:15 pick up to avoid the dinner rush. We got there at 4:15 and proceeded to pick up the food and was told a few more minutes. it really turned out to be another 30-minutes! in the meanwhile I waited in the lobby and observed the host shouting into the kitchen constantly rather than walking and talking to the back of house staff. it was awkward for everyone in the lobby and dining room. Food: 1) Peking pork chop - pretty good. 2) House special chow mein - average. mostly noodles and onions with minimal protein. not sure what makes this house "special". I've had better at Panda Express. 3) Special chicken - it was pretty dried like it was zapped in the microwave too long. 4) Roast pork with fish fillet clay pot - this was pretty good with the exception of the roast pork which was really all fat. the fish was good and so was the veggies. 5) steamed bbq pork buns - decent. 6) Shanghai pork dumplings - pass. it was doughy and dry. 7) Steamed egg custard cream buns - this was pretty tasty. 8) Pot stickers - average. Overall the place is decent and is above the Safeway hot food court or panda express. There has to be better places around town for decent authentic chinese food

Cantonese food. Everyone enjoyed the service provided. They speak canto and enthusiastic about helping bag, order items. Food was decent. Will come back.

If you're looking for Dim Sum in Bellevue, you've come to the right place! Here, you can find your standard staple dishes, each delightfully crafted and absolutely delicious! Portions were a great size and the prices were good for Dim Sum. Definitely recommend any rice roll or dumpling dishes. Honestly, there wasn't a single dish I disliked and you will find plenty of flavors and treats for your tastebuds! I will also make a special shoutout to the fried dough sticks, as those remind me of the street food in China! Ambiance is your standard Dim Sum place. It's pretty spacious, but expect longer wait times on weekends. It's no wonder why the place gets so packed. Please note that you need all members of your party present to receive a table. Service was decent for the most part. Waiters were fun, though they had forgotten a few of our dishes.

We tried Royal Kitchen for the first time today. We were in the mood for dimsum, so we tried: eggplant stuffed with shrimp, fried taro, sesame balls (jin dui), pork siumai, pork soup dumplings, bbq pork pastry and maybe some other things. The Fried Taro was excellent--the best I've had in a long time and possibly ever. (We liked it so much, we got a second one). We also loved the pork siumai. The bbq pork pastry was nice--the pastry had a good texture and the filling was a little sweet, so it was almost a desert. We enjoyed the sesame balls--they were big and a beautiful golden brown, but slightly oily. In general, I'd say that their portions are generous, with a good amount of filling. The only dish we didn't care for was the soup dumplings. The wrapper was thick (I prefer it thin) and they are served on these aluminum foil muffin cups that look nice, but the dumplings stick to the cups, so they all broke when we tried to remove them. (However, we love the soup dumplings at Din Tai Fung and we haven't found any place else that makes them as good. The quality can also vary depending on which DTF you go to). The service was very good. The waiters were available. Most didn't speak English, but they quickly found someone who could when we had questions. Food came fast and empty dishes were removed quickly. Arriving at about 1:30pm on a Friday, there was plenty of tables available. They have a good-sized, L-shaped dining area. Several tables were were full of diners (I think all but us were Chinese--a good sign). The decor is nice, but not fancy. You feel like you are eating in a decent restaurant, not a takeout or $$$ place. I liked that it was quiet enough to have a conversation. We want to try more of their dishes, so we will be going back.

Enjoyed a wonderful carryout dinner during visit to Bellevue. Read reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. Placed order online. They were busy with a constant flow of dine in customers. There was lots of space and most were seated right away. We waited for about 25 minutes for our takeout order. Beef with broccoli-5 stars. Bok Choy-4 Kung Pao Chicken-3 (not a lot of flavor or spice) Shrimp fried rice-4. Looking forward to our next visit.

The lady in the cashier is very RUDE!!! we got there at 8:15pm and she said that they are closed. ON Yelp it says open until 9pm, their sign on the door says OPEN!!! What's the point of having the sign and the closing hours in their website and Yelp! Owner should teach their employees to be courteous to their customers. TRAIN THEM WELL TO HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. ZERO RATING FOR THIS RESTAURANT!!!

We had been coming for years to King's and was quite disappointed with our first experience when they became Royal Kitchen. So, we decided to give it another try. At 5:30 on a Tuesday afternoon, they weren't too crowded, but already extremely short staffed. One server seemed to be doing all the work, and he was harried! Bussing tables, taking orders, delivering the goods, and presenting the bill. He was already doing his best, but we still waited a while to get out orders in. A bit later, two more servers started work but more diners came in, so service was still slow. There were numerous tables waving for someone to take their order or to pay the bill, but food was delivered quickly once the order was in. We had the crab and fish maw soup, pea shoots stir-fried with garlic, XO sauce eggplant and fish slice in hot pot and sweet and sour pork ribs. Standard fare just to gauge where they are at now. The soup was a bit dilute with hardly any crab meat but the pea shoots were perfectly done. The hot pot tasted great but was mostly eggplant. And the sweet and sour pork ribs was far from what we used to get when they were still King's. So the verdict is..... decent and improving, but we'll wait for another 6 months before trying them again. Good overall but there is better value to be found, and better tasting Chinese food in Bellevue.

Service: 4 - They're very busy at peak hours, so you might have to get their attention. Love their self-service waitlist through Yelp, which lets you monitor and alerts you to go inside. Ambiance: 4 - Crowded and noisy at peak hours Food: 4 - Tasty, reasonable portion size, and though pricey, not any more than other dim sum places these days

Yes, they do chinese food right. They are family friendly, great portions, can't go wrong with what you order. Their dim sum is good too.

I was craving some dim sum and not all dim sum places in the Seattle area are amazing. Royal Kitchen was actually good for me. The only one that was kind of off was the tofu shrimp roll it was a little clunky but still tasty, I like my tofu rolls a little thinner where I can hold it with chop sticks and then put it in my mouth and this one is a little thick. Still it was tasty everything else I thought was good. I have had a lot of dim sum and can say this is better than the average and quite good. I plan to try more items and further review their offerings. Also the food was hot which is a good thing. Was it perfect no but very good.

Living in SoCal, I admit I'm somewhat spoiled for choice when it comes to great Chinese food, but I wasn't particularly impressed by this predominantly Cantonese place I tried while visiting family in the area. Although the flavors were alright, I just didn't feel like there was enough protein in any of the three dishes we ordered, and it seemed rather odd to tack on a surcharge for getting takeout rather than dining in (maybe this is a King County or WA State thing?). On the plus side, service was fine - we placed our order over the phone, and it was accurate, packaged nicely, and ready exactly when promised. Overall, though, I've had better, paid less, and paid less for better. :P

A Difficult Experience at Royal Kitchen Chinese Seafood Restaurant in East Seattle After an exciting weekend hike, we came to this popular dim sum restaurant in the Eastside. However, the experience left much to be desired. When we arrived and asked for a menu, the waiter handed one to those who spoke Cantonese and English, but refused to give one to us when we requested it in Mandarin. Our friends with us pointed out this discrimination, and reluctantly, they finally gave us a menu. Other serving staff seemed friendly, and I understand they might be busy, but at least they should treat all customers equally. The service for delivering the food was indeed very fast, but the food quality was inconsistent. Molten Lava Buns: Today's highlight, small muffin-sized buns with a loose pineapple bun top and a traditional bread base. The molten lava inside was delicate and delicious. Beef Tendon: Very tender and crispy, but the portion was disappointingly small compared to other Cantonese steamed dishes of the same level. Chicken Feet: Well-seasoned and sweet, but personally, I prefer them to be softer. It's just a matter of taste. Salt-Baked Chicken: Today's biggest disappointment, extremely salty, it seemed like they didn't spread the salt mixture evenly. The meat was not very tender, and some parts tasted bitter due to excessive salt. Scallop and Shrimp Dumplings: Don't order this dish. It's not about seasoning; there were very few scallops, and some shrimp portions were powdery and not fresh. In terms of price, it's relatively cheap in the Eastside, but the incident at the beginning really made the dining experience unpleasant. I probably won't come back again. This is my honest review.

Food was so good and very filling as they have large portions. They were very quick to bring out everything which is a plus. They often have reservations so it can be loud in there, but not too bad overall.

Very average For the most part, they don't use carts. However, the dim sum items aren't made to order either. Pork buns, eggplant and shrimp, soup dumplings, and radish cake, etc. all seem to have been sitting in their kitchen for a bit and were somewhat lukewarm. Radish cake - Flavor is okay, but eating these hot is a small pet peeve I have. Texture also seems to have suffered a little. Not great. Chicken feet - It's alright. Chinese broccoli - Not bad. Chiu chow (fun guo) - Easily the best item today. I always like the mix of flavor and texture in these, and this one was actually hot and tasted fresh. Soup dumpling - Kinda bad, honestly. Soup dumplings have to be fresh. These were not and were also a tad dry. Taro dumpling - It's alright. BBQ pork buns - Rather cheap on the filling. The first bite is a mouth full of nothing but bun. The overall package is a bit dry and weak umami.
