Where to Try the Viral Dubai Chocolate in Houston | Eater Houston

"A Levantine-focused shop that elevates the trend with an over-the-top 'Dubai Ice Cream Bomb'—stretchy booza ice cream coated in pistachio butter and a crisp chocolate shell, drizzled with milk chocolate and pistachio sauce, sprinkled with edible gold and phyllo, and infused with saffron, pistachio and rose water. The location also sells Dubai chocolate bars, strawberry cups, Dubai-style baklava and pistachio lattes, blending traditional Middle Eastern flavors into viral-format desserts." - Brittany Britto Garley

The Roastery Opens Massive New Location At San Felipe H-E-B | Eater Houston

"A chic flagship coffee shop and café from a team of NYC chefs has opened a large third Houston outpost adjacent to the H-E-B in the Galleria. The new location occupies about 7,600 square feet—roughly seven times the size of the chain’s other Houston sites—and is the only restaurant in the city to showcase its own Giesen coffee roaster, which toasts beans in full view of diners. Beyond coffee and teas, the kitchen—developed by former Alice Blue chef Kent Domas and culinary director Matt Johnson—offers sandwiches, pastas, pizzas and standout dishes such as Gulf shrimp and grits, a crawfish riff on a lobster roll, and confit duck wings. Beverage options include local brews, wine and coffee‑spiked cocktails. This flagship follows earlier openings in Bellaire (October 2018) and the Heights (January 2019), and is open Monday–Thursday 7:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m., and Sunday 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m." - Amy McCarthy

Google
We had the best time at Royal Roastery!! Unlike other dessert + coffee shops I've been to, they were fast and reliable with serving time and taking orders. The dubai chocolate, fruit crepe, and ice cream were bomb!! The coffee was also amazing (suprisingly bc these kind of places usually have overly sweet coffee but it didn't!!). I will say, the kunefe was a bit over sugary but it was still enjoyable. Overall an amazing experience, helal options all around, perfect to be hosting guests! Thank you

So delicious and worth the stop if you’re in Houston. The best sweet treats stop I’ve been to in awhile! A large variety of Turkish chocolates with very unique tastes. The Dubai chocolates are incredible. Crepes were very very sweet but delicious. I enjoyed my coffee too while I was here. I actually came here two days in a row- the customer service is excellent. The first day my chocolates accidentally weren’t placed in the bag by the counter staff but they apologized for the mistake and gave me them the following day with an additional chocolate. Don’t just come for the dubai chocolate, the baklava is delicious as are the nuts. Very nice staff.

Great place for desserts! I went here twice and spent about $15 per trip. Pistachio Booza: Enjoyed the ice cream for the most part it was sweet and had the stretchy texture it is known for! I think they added a bit too much pistachio in it though. Turkish Delights: They had so many flavors ranging from fruity to chocolate. My favorite was the Nutella one. It was chewy, similar to marshmallow, with a creamy center. Knafe: This was delicious! It was basically a slab of melted cheese with some crunchy knafe topping and a sweet syrup. It was sweet and salty, a great combo. Dubai Chocolate Bar: Had this included as a promotion. It was sweet and crunchy. Great texture. Overall, hoping to come hear again and try more delicious desserts!

Google
This dessert spot is truly a must-visit! They specialize in incredible Arab sweets. Their Turkish ice cream is wonderfully chewy, has authentic texture, and the Belgian chocolate desserts are simply divine. If you crave something lighter, the creamy gelato is fantastic, rounding out a perfect selection that spans from traditional knafeh to modern delights. The variety is unbeatable! This is the best dessert spot in Houston!

Google
They have the best Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream I’ve ever had — rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Their Nabulsi Knafeh is absolutely amazing, perfectly balanced and delicious. If you’re looking for quality desserts and great taste, this place is a must-try

Google
Employees are friendly and helpful. This place did not disappoint. Lots of spices, instant tea and everything sweet. I had the Dubai chocolate cheesecake. I didn’t care for the cheesecake, but loved the top layer. So good. And the egg ice cream was enjoyed by us also. Fun, different place to go in Houston. Would def come back.

Google
Royal Roastery has been on my bucket list for years, and I finally got the chance to stop by — it did not disappoint! The space itself is huge, beautiful, and full of options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even offering us samples of anything we wanted to try (which was perfect since it was our first visit). Everything we tasted was delicious especially the Turkish delight. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but it’s absolutely a must-visit spot. I ordered the iced pistachio latte since it’s their most popular drink, but as more of a cold brew/shaken espresso girlie, it wasn’t really my vibe. I’ll definitely be back to try something different next time!

Google
4⭐ This place is absolutely magical. The amount of things it has, from treats, to drinks, to dessert, to seeds and beyond. They have seating all throughout and the employees there are very helpful and patient. The desserts were delicious but I do have a complaint, I was expecting the Dubai Strawberry Chocolate cup to be made once I ordered but it is premade and the chocolate was hard and strawberries tasted a bit old and that is why I rated this place a 4⭐ if I'm paying $17 for a cup, I expect it to be fresh. But other than that this place is pretty cool!

Aubrey A.

Yelp
I loved the Dubai chocolate strawberries, best that I have had. They are sure to not be stingy with the kataifi. And on top of that, we were able to try the mango and strawberry fruit pastries, which were also amazing. The service was good, it's just that the registrant could have been more accommodating. The vibe was very rushed and overstimulating, because of the load of people there. But I can see why it was so packed, because the desserts were definitely worth it.

Yelp
Dish ordered: Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream, Arabic Ice Cream, Lotus Ice Cream Also tried: Dubai Chocolate Crêpe, Oreo Crêpe, Chocolate Mousse "Bear" TLDR: best overall dessert spot in Houston I stopped by Royal Roastery and ended up trying way more than planned because everything looked too good to walk away from. The ice cream alone had a surprising range of flavors, each with a different texture and vibe. The Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream was the standout for me. It had a deep cocoa flavor, not just sugary sweetness, and the texture was creamy without feeling heavy. The Arabic Ice Cream was stretchy, chewy, and had that classic elastic texture you usually only find at specialty Middle Eastern spots, which was a nice touch of authenticity. The Lotus gelato tasted exactly like Biscoff blended into a cold dessert and would be perfect if you like caramel-cookie flavors. We also ordered two crêpes, the Dubai Chocolate Crêpe and the Oreo Crêpe, and if you are someone who likes warm + cold combinations, I would definitely recommend adding ice cream on the side or on top. The crêpes were soft, warm, and filled generously, not dry or overly thin. Dessert spots sometimes get too sweet to the point where flavors blend together, but here each item still had its own profile. The Dubai chocolate crepe was one that I have ordered several times now. The Chocolate Mousse Bear was okay, nothing special. It was smooth and creamy, not overly gelatin-forward like some mousse desserts. This is more for the presentation and pics more than the flavor. If you're here on a weekend night be prepared for long lines, barely any space to sit with the crowd, and not much service. I waited around 30 min on a Saturday night, which was to be expected. Overall, the menu leans strongly toward chocolate lovers, but they're also a roastery, so you can get nuts, spices, candy, Turkish delights, knafe, etc. I would come back again, especially with friends, since it is more fun to share and try different items rather than stick to just one. Vibes were immaculate though. Parking was such a hassle as well. If you're in the area, have a sweet tooth, or like Middle Eastern dessert flavors, this is a great spot. I've been here countless times now and would highly recommend to everyone.

Yelp
After all the hype I've been hearing about this place, I finally had to try it. If you have a sweet tooth, this spot is definitely for you. As soon as I walked in, I felt full just looking around.. there's food everywhere you turn. The chocolates and ice cream flavors were yummy, they even sell cashews, teas, and spices, which was a fun surprise. I think social media set my expectations a bit too high, though. Don't get me wrong, it was good, just a little overhyped. Next time I go, I'll definitely try their coffee and teas.

Yelp
This store has loads of variety. Bulk tease, spices, nuts, snacks, Turkish, delight, chocolates, and lots of different sweets. They also have a full gelato bar, a full coffee bar, and many many pastries, and desserts to choose from. It's a bit of a sensory overload, but I highly recommend you popping in to check it out!

Yelp
This place is amazing! The menu and options are robust! I as per usual were led here by social media in search of a mousse bear. Andd I got that along with an array of other delicacies. Now not only was the best tasty, it was sooo cute! I almost didn't want to eat it! They offer you a choice of chocolate sauce for an up charge and of course I got it. I also ordered a latte which had a robust flavor with oat milk. And I couldn't leave out without a piece of Dubai chocolate of course. Lastly I bought a small Dubai chocolate parfait. It was bomb and not too sweet but hit the spot right before the gym. This place has an abundance of things to choose from including crepes! Do check this place out. Now there is both limited seating and limited parking! But well worth the trip!

Yelp
This is such a wonderful Westheimer gem!! I was looking for some fun desserts and this was definitely the pace to go. They had a huge variety of fun and niche treats. Some were cultural (like crunchy sweet cheese & Arabic ice cream ) and others were just fun and different (like ice cream shaped to look like a piece of fruit) The employees were all super friendly and quick to offer samples of just about anything. There were also shelves and walls full of imported foods and tea. They had tables to sit and enjoy your dessert. I enjoyed everything we ordered and just genuinely had a good time walking through and looking at everything. It felt like Willy Wonkas chocolate factory. 12/10 I'll be back!

Yelp
Not the best location. It's in a strip with very little parking. The selection is wide when it comes to the pieces of candy they sell. Their drink menu is also quite big. They offer caffeinated fizzy drinks, lattes, cappuccino, Turkish coffee, tea and some sweets. They sell the virally overrated Dubai chocolate. Tried the Dubai chocolate strawberries but it was overwhelmingly sweet. Got a Turkish coffee to help cut through that. I was surprised to find it was flavored with cardamom- to me a Turkish coffee does not include cardamom so that was very unexpected. If you're heading over just make sure you bring patience as it is crowded and somewhat noisy. Orders are not called out so you will need to keep eyes open as they fill the counter up with orders. I'm sure this place is very fit for those with children or those who don't mind crowded spaces. Just personally not for me.

Yelp
My first time at an Arabic sweets shop, I was greeted by a doorman and a red carpet down to the desserts order line. I went there an hour before closing and the store was crowded. The shop has lots of different chocolates, snacks, chips, spices, drinks. There's even fine China and decorations that they sell. I've been on a hunt to try the viral Dubai chocolate and place has them all. If you're looking for it, it's in the chocolate desserts case next to the register. You'll have to wait in the dessert line to order it. The shop also serves other Dubai chocolate desserts such as crepes, milkshake, strawberries. The Dubai chocolate strawberries are indulging, the katafi pistachio flavors are very rice.

Yelp
Wow, this place blew me away! I had heard all of the social media hype about this place, and I told myself that I am going to make an effort to go visit them, and I'm sure glad I did! You walk inside, you are hit with amazing smells and sights/sounds of the place, from the various spices by the pound, the long glass refrigerated area of various dishes, the coffee bar making signature coffee drinks, and all of the desserts lined up along the back and side walls. May seem overwhelming at first, but definitely take your time cruising the areas of interest! I came here for only one thing, and I'm glad they had it available for us to buy. It's the chocolate looking fruit that looks like real fruit (wow I should know the real name of this dish...) but I basically got the mango and the peach, and gosh they were sooooooooo good! Let's not forget the dubai chocolate too... it was very delicious to try! Will definitely be back again, hopefully to try other items too!

Yelp
I'm giving Royal Roastery 4 stars , not because of the exceptional cuisine, but because of the staff members. The two employees at the checkout register were unwilling to assist, and every question I asked was met with palpable irritation. *I can say the Dubai chocolate was exquisite; we also received a sample of the Dubai ice cream, which was remarkable. **Japanese ice cream is a must-try, buy 1 or buy ALL. I opted for mango, which was bursting with flavor and exceptionally smooth. My daughter selected strawberry, which was somewhat hard and lacked strawberry flavor!!! ***The Peach fruit pastry wasn't our favorite.

Yelp
Wow. I didn't expect all of this. About 13min fm the city center. 1. Super friendly 2. Really clean 3. Helpful as a newbie with all the Turkish sweets, coffee etc. 4. Dry goods, full espresso and special drinks, nut area. Soo much to look at. Of course I grabbed a few bars of the famous Dubai Chocolate everyone sees on Tik Tok, IG. Dubai chocolate bars Served cold and thin chocolate with crunchy pistachio insides. The best I'ce had yet! Soo good. The bar has definitely been raised. They have tons of cakes, different versions of baklava , amazing sweets that look like works of art (turkish delight combinations they have samples, spices by weight, batch ice creams, turkish coffee (so good no cream needed with aromas of cardamom), viral mango/lemon ice creams, plenty of tables to eat,'snap IG's and enjoy the atmosphere. Folks are gathered, enjoying being in the moment. If you cone during the summer I'd suggest brining a cooler to bring the sweet treasures home to eat. Parking is plenty and free. There are a ton of other eateries and sweet shops like a cuban place a few doors down. I will def be back!

Yelp
An Instagram Reel led us here, and it did not disappoint! I only wish we had more time in Houston to come back and try all of the Dubai chocolate-inspired desserts. The three of us shared a warm, cheesy knafeh that was lightly sweet, crispy, and incredibly unique. The portion was generous, and we couldn't even finish it. We also tried cookies and cream gelato and the Dubai chocolate gelato. Both were fantastic, but the Dubai chocolate was definitely the standout. It was a bit on the sweeter side, so a self-serve water station would've been appreciated. My friend picked up a Dubai chocolate strawberry cup to-go, and it was a big hit with her family. The shop also offers a wide variety of Turkish delights, candies, gummies, spices, you name it! It really felt like stepping into another part of the world. We visited on a Monday afternoon and it was surprisingly busy. With the crowd they draw, a few extra tables would be helpful. I noticed on the screen they're opening a Dallas location soon, hopefully SoCal is next!

Yelp
I got influenced and the hype is real! I feel like a lot of things in Houston get hyped and they also turn out to be underwhelming. However, this trip to Royal Roastery was well worth it and I'm happy I live 40 minutes away. The dark chocolate Dubai bar was everything and more. Everything you heard about the Dubai chocolate was meet with extreme satisfaction. The dark chocolate was perfectly tempered and did not break into too many pieces when bitten into or did not melt while holding it. The mixture in the middle was a perfect blend of pistachio cream, tahini, and the kataifi was toasted to perfection. There were other Dubai bars milk chocolate and a white? I got one small bar for $5 and there are larger bars as well. The location also has an aisle of gummies, chocolates, walls of snacks, a savory nut/snack bar, traditional sweets bar, galeto, coffee, and much more. I went around 2 PM on a Wednesday so it wasn't too busy and I was serviced quickly. The nut/savory bar does provide samples. It's a must and if you live close be careful with your waistline.

Yelp
Chaotic mix of a dessert shop with the viral Dubai chocolate bars (Kanafa), a Turkish coffee cafe and a market with roasted nuts, coffee and spices. Popularized by TikTok and Instagram, this place is a victim of it's own success. The lines can be very long and are ineffecient. The layout of the store is awkward. It's difficult to browse and see all the dessert options as the showcases are blocked by the line or after the place where you order. The overhead menu is only visible just before you're about to order so people can't effectively decide what to order until they are in front of the cashier, which slows down the process. The showcases don't have a lot of labels or descriptions so for those who are less initiated or familiar it's a continued mystery. The desserts themselves are visually appealing, extremely sweet and over priced. The seating area is a decently sized, but half of the seats are taken up by parties hogging the seats while the rest of the party are standing inline. The workers are friendly and patient and overwhelmed with the crowds. There are aisles of candies and treats that aren't labeled that mostly serve as line separators. The experience is visually appealing, but with all the wait, line and price of a Disney park ride. Overall, we came to experience the hype, take our pictures, but probably won't be back often or until the lines calm down. Parking is also chaotically busy. Cars enter from multiple entrances and flow both directions. The flow of cars get stuck with cars trying to pull out but are blocked by cars that are waiting to park.

Yelp
This place is a sweet lovers heaven! Form candy to pastries, cakes Gelato. Also my favorite hard to find treat Kanahfa (spell check) and it was delicious. So many other things I want to go back to try. Baklava cheese cakes OMG!! So much. They also sell an array of tea leafs and nuts. And coffees.. will definitely make the 40 minute drive to go back.

Yelp
I was excited to come here because of all the TikTok videos I had seen - maybe it was an off day, but I don't think it lived up to the hype. The place is really unique and carries so many desserts and snacks, but I don't think I'm a fan of the actual food. There are so many display cases, but not many signs describing anything you're looking at. The main menu they have above the counter only shows some items, and not the ones we actually ordered. We ended up getting the Knafeh, Arabic ice cream, the Dubai chocolate bar, and my fiance got a coffee. Everything was too sweet for my taste (granted we did order a lot for just 2 of us). The Knafeh was definitely the best item, the cheese and the crunch were divine, but they did a bit too much syrup - would recommend this if you come. The ice cream was loaded with pistachios and had a nice texture, but again so sweet. I had high hopes for the Dubai chocolate, but the quality was not there - the milk chocolate was already melting even though we ate it there. The filling was good, but the chocolate didn't have the right texture. There are plenty of seats, though the tables are a bit sticky. Additionally there didn't seem to be a bathroom or water cups, which would have helped with the stickiness and sweetness. I think it's a really cool place to browse and find gifts, but I was a bit disappointed in the food especially for the high price. Knafeh is worth a try though!

Yelp
Hate to add to the traffic at this place, but this is where I found the original Dubai Chocolate bars. This place is amazing. I can spend hours at this store just tasting free samples of their Turkish delights. I want to go back and try their ice cream, but it's so packed that it's a little overwhelming. Go during off-peak hours. They close late as well!

Yelp
I have a feeling the Dubai Chocolate craze will never go away. It's just THAT good. Driving to Royal Roastery is worth the drive. It's worth the higher price point since they use quality ingredients and it shows. It's not something I would buy everyday, but it for sure is a "treat yo self" kinda day. This place gets PACKED on the weekends. However it goes by quick. Limited seating inside, but lots to choose from when it comes to splurging. We've come on a day where it's completely busy and loud and on a day where it's so empty, we could take our time wondering around. They sell novelty items from snacks to chocolates, to even spices. But we all know what we come here for...the infamous Dubai Chocolate. The knafeh is just so crispy in texture all throughout the bar, it makes you wish you could have never ending supply. Even the pistachio creme on top is finger licking good. It's so rich in flavor that you need a 24 oz cup of milk. And that's not a bad thing. I don't even eat the whole thing in one go. I make sure to save it and put it in the fridge for the next day and the knafeh is still crispy. My fiancé and I both tried the kit kat waffle and dubai chocolate waffle and OHMYGOD. Both are so good and so rich in flavor, it's so worth the $15.99. Yes. I know. But hear me out! When are you ever going to splurge on such quality dessert?! The dubai chocolate waffle was definitely a top favorite. It's the chocolate bar spread out all over the waffle all in one. You get every crispy texture in every bite. Bring on the milk. We also decided to check out some of the gummy candy and realized they are halal. That's pretty awesome to see that they are accommodating to cultures who can't have gelatin. We tried a few of the sour gummy candy and it tasted just as good. Service is great, and you can tell they pride themselves in their work and their food. I'd totally come back for gift giving, treat yo self days, and dinner club dessert nights. Plenty of parking along the strip even when it's busy, if you're willing to walk.

Yelp
I finally caved to the Dubai chocolate obsession and decided to check out Royal Roastery. There was such a wide assortment of candies, ice cream, and pastries here, and they even offered some free samples. We got there on a Wednesday night around 9pm. This place was poppin despite it being a weekday. There was a line inside but it moved fast. There's also limited seating, but we were lucky enough to snag a table. We ordered: - Dubai chocolate crepe - Dubai chocolate waffle - Dubai chocolate bar - Knafeh So I definitely get the hype surrounding the dubai chocolate now. I love the crunchy texture you get from the knafeh. The crepe, waffle, and chocolate bar were all very good, but definitely very rich and sweet. Definitely not something I can eat in one sitting. The cheesy knafeh was an interesting dessert as well. It was pretty good, but not something I would order again. I wanted to try the Dubai chocolate strawberries as well, but couldn't justify such a high price point. But I just took the remainder of the desserts togo, and enjoyed them with some strawberries at home.

Yelp
Royal Roastery is a nice Turkish cafe that has curated an interesting cultural experience. They have a wide variety of Turkish delight treats. The staff is more than happy to cut out a small portion for you to sample prior to choosing which treats to purchase. They are sold by weight. Farha (staff) was extremely helpful and friendly and explaining the process and helping us sample quite a few of their Turkish delight options. The best selection depends on your personal preference. But we recommend the Nestle and pomegranate. We also tried a cream cheese baklava. Surprisingly, the cream cheese is a lot more rigid than typical American cream cheese. It's more along the consistency between gouda and Brie cheese. Personally, I think a creamier cream cheese is more suitable to balance the more brittle texture of the baklava. They also have an amazing collection of Turkish inspired tea sets that you can view and purchase. They are wonderfully curated and there's many to view. There's a side area where you can sit down and enjoy whatever drink, or ice cream, or company with friends. Fair warning, their ice cream is an incredibly small portion. They are very lenient hours opening all the way until around midnight.

Yelp
Stepping into The Royal Roaster felt like I had been transported into a luxurious marketplace somewhere in the UAE. The air was rich with the scent of freshly ground spices, roasted nuts, fragrant teas, and sweet pastries stacked high behind glass. I was overwhelmed in the best way. Every corner of the store offered something new to take in, especially with so many foreign snacks on display. The (long) line outside looked intimidating at first, but it moved quickly. Once inside, we were greeted with generous sample trays featuring chocolates, Turkish delights, pistachio-filled pastries, and more. I loved being able to try so many unique flavor combinations before buying. Pistachio is clearly the star of the show here, and I wasn't mad about it. I ordered the mango and lotus blossom ice cream, and it was one of the creamiest, most flavorful scoops I've had in a while. Usually, mango flavors lean more sherbet-y, but this one was smooth, silky, and perfectly balanced with the nutty floral hint of lotus. I could've gone back for seconds. My friend was hoping to try the viral fruit-layered pastries we saw trending on TikTok, but they were completely sold out by the time we arrived around 9 p.m. The cashier kindly let us know those items move fast and recommended placing an order a day or two in advance to guarantee a box. The atmosphere inside was bustling and felt like somewhere between a specialty grocer and a pastry café. Whether you're craving sweets, stocking up on imported goods, or just passing through with curiosity, The Royal Roaster makes it worth your time (and the short wait).

Yelp
Overall: A fantastic place to try some high quality middle-eastern drinks and sweets with friendly and quick service Parking: free lot in front but requires patience in tight spaces at peak hours. High turnover means you won't be waiting long to find a spot. Vibes and Aesthetic: It wouldn't have hurt for this location to be a little larger. There's high turnover of people in and out so lines are quick and you'll likely find a table becomes free in under 10 minutes of your arrival. If prioritizing, save the table for your party over waiting in line. 5 stars because the diversity in customers is incredible. I truly see the beauty of Houston when I visit Royal Roastery. From Arabs to South Asians to Latinas to etc., the environment is a beautiful blend of families and friends of all ages and backgrounds. It is LOUD as a result. Music, staff working, conversation. This is a place with no chill so be prepared. Food and drinks: All teas are caffienated so black tea based: the pomegranate ice tea was magical at $5 it was a good price and had fresh pomegranate seeds at the bottom of the drink. 10/10 Pistachio crepe was dubai chocolate vibes with pistachio creme, crushed pistachios of a magnitude that I understand why there is a pistachio shortage (value good) and a crepe stuffed with creme and shredded filo dough. The flavor was a little spiced nutty and size of crepe wasn't as big as I'm used to seeing but it was stuffed. It was a 8/10 for me. Dubai chocolate strawberries cup: 7/10 because taste was perfect but not enough strawberries in our cup. Flavor and quality was excellent but proportion was off.

Yelp
This place was packed at 8-9pm with a long line and tables full. It is very clean and an overwhelming amount of goods. I got my order to go. It was decent but the cheesecake was more of a whipped consistency.

Yelp
The strawberry shortcake ice cream was really good & creamy. The green dessert is chocolate with vanilla ice cream in the center & the chocolate was super thick. I also bought a couple chocolates. My total was $16.73.

Yelp
What a neat spot for middle eastern goodies, coffee, and dessert! After seeing this place from an IG reel, I was intrigued by their offering of Syrian ice cream, which is served in a generous amount and fully coated all around in crushed pistachios. They also offer Dubai Chocolate! At first I was a little skeptical since I feel like viral foods are just a gimmick, but I really enjoyed their Dubai Chocolate. The filling was so good and unlike anything I've had before in a piece of chocolate. It is on the sweet/rich side. There were so many other goodies that I'd want to come back and try. This place is large for a cafe/dessert spot and has a handful of small tables for enjoying your treats; however, it was packed when I went so I just had to stand and enjoy my treats.

Yelp
A must! You have to visit! I'm visiting from out of town and this came as a recommendation so we headed over there. Parking can be a nuisance, especially during popular visiting times, especially for the other stores. Immediately when we walked in I smells The chocolate and spices and coffee. The Turkish coffee cups and makers were Stunning! It was a sensory overload, but I can understand why. It's definitely a popular destination for many especially a place where they can get that viral Dubai chocolate that everybody is talking about. Normally I don't like to follow what's the most popular things. But this one I felt like why not I had the opportunity so let's sample it. It lived up to the hype and then some! I opted for the chocolate bar and the Dubai Chocolate Strawberries. The strawberries are a dessert featuring fresh strawberries layered with kataifi (shredded filo pastry), pistachio cream, and melted chocolate, often served in a cup. It was fantastic! Amazing! Totally worth the $18 price tag. My first time having pistachio cream. I need to get my hands on this dessert more often. I took advantage of the candy section, both gummy candy and the wrapped candy. It did not end there, I picked up a few flavors of whole bean coffee for my husband. Our visit was great. Crowded, but they had three cash registers running for candy's and one by the front door that I noticed. Everything was worth the price! If I'm back in the area I will definitely return! I'd like to try many other things they had.

Yelp
Finally got around to trying the infamous Dubai Chocolate and man oh man this place had a long line wrapping all around the store. We got the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup, Dubai Chocolate Bar, and Pistachio Latte. Overall, it was a very cool experience and I'm glad I came out to try it, but everything was so rich and sweet. I could only tolerate a few bites of the cup and bar because it was just too rich and sweet. A later took it home, placed it in the fridge, and ate it the next day cooled with a big glass of milk which I found to be much more enjoyable. I did love the crunchiness of the knafeh. The bar had a great filling to shell ratio. The aesthetics are immaculate, but I'd say the value was quite overpriced, the cup itself cost $18. Disclaimer: I don't have the biggest sweet tooth so I probably wouldn't go back. I like my desserts in the "not too sweet range" as in I order my boba at 0-30% sweetness depending on my mood. If you have a sweet tooth definitely give this place a shot though, it's definitely one of the top places to try the Dubai Chocolate.

Yelp
Came here last Thursday at the spur of the moment but called ahead to ensure they still had their infamous kunafa chocolate bars. We were so surprised by how pack it was during the week especially how late we came. I was just happy they were still open and had everything I was craving. Although pack, the line went down surprisingly fast. We also ordered the kunafa ice cream. Everything was delicious!!

Yelp
Obsessed is an understatement. Now I'm in trouble because this is the only dessert I'm going to want to be eating LOL. I have been eagerly waiting for MONTHS to try this place out, and it was totally worth the wait. I've tried Dubai chocolate desserts here and there, but it wasn't as great as I imagined it to be... UNTIL I WENT TO ROYAL ROASTERY. I had been missing out on the real stuff. Def on the pricier side - I paid $51 in total for 3 Dubai chocolate bars. ($4.99 each), a cheesecake cup ($7.99), a knafeh slice ($6), and a fruit Dubai cup ($17.99) - but sheesh it's so good I can justify those prices any time. I actually already want to go back lol. Because of the high demand, the fruit cups are already premade, but everything is still so fresh!!!!! I put the cup in the fridge overnight, and it was phenomenal - knafeh is still so crunchy, the chocolate hardens up a bit, and the strawberries get softer. The chocolate bars are amazing. They load it up generously. The filling is absolutely addicting - sweet and nutty. The cheesecake cup was one of my favorite items there. It was light and creamy! The selection is huge. Place was packed as we went on a Sunday afternoon. We shared a table with another group. Very busy, but they manage the crowd well. Parking can be a nightmare. It's a very small and narrow lot that is shared with a handful of businesses.

Yelp
Spacious shop as seen in photos, and it has ample parking. Other than sweets, there is coffee, baklava, and ice cream with 12 tables and chairs.

Yelp
Really cool slot for a late night treat. Parking sucks but worth it if you can deal with it. Store is full of sweet and savory goodies including spices if you need. Turkish delights to gelato and a Dubai chocolate "shake" that was very tasty and filling for the price. Worth another visit to try something else there

Yelp
The food was okay but it was really, really crowded and the parking was slow and difficult because there are so many business using the same parking lot. The nuts were pretty good but the Dubai chocolate wasn't that good. You have to eat it right away or the kanafa gets soggy. The Dubai chocolate cup was also too sweet but maybe someone else might like it. Overall, I prefer Golden Roastery.

Yelp
Royal Roastery has lots of mango and peach ice cream supply. We got their Dubai chocolate strawberries and Dubai chocolate crepe too. Everything was great but just know it is RICH! We definitely could've used a glass of milk with the crepe! My husband also got their Dubai chocolate milkshake which he said was good. The place is 1/2 store and 1/2 seated area, but there are no restrooms there. A few takeaways: 1. Overall everything was rich and amazing. 2. Mango tastes better than peach flavored ice cream 3. Go on a weekday or there will be a long line. 4. Parking is also very limited. 5. It is pricey!

Yelp
I was wowed by Royal Roastery. The selection is broad and enticing. The Dubai chocolate is everything that everyone says it is. They have a wild selection of roasted nuts that as good as I could have ever expected them to be (had the BBQ, which was recommended). The service was quick and pleasant as well. Couldn't recommend more.

Yelp
Didn't have one thing here that we didnt like. Definitely recommend to get there early because it gets busy very fast. Even on a rainy evening in Saturday it was busy. Not a lot of seating so take that into account.

Yelp
Your typical TikTok dessert location, full of people, no where to sit, and long lines/waits for overpriced trendy food. That rant out the way, I just got the strawberry cup and Turkish coffee. The cup was fresh and tasted alright, but it looks a lot better than it tastes. Tried the Dubai crepe from a friend, which would be worth it shared across 2 or 3 people with your favorite type of coffee whenever the hype dies down and you can actually sit inside somewhere. Also note that the parking on weekends is crazy so don't bring your favorite car out here.

Yelp
So good I went back the following week. This place is an experience. Packed with people and packed with everything you can imagine: spices, nuts, coffee and tea sets, chocolates, pastries, desserts, tea and coffee. Chocolate: They have a galore of different mini chocolates that you can pick from and pay by the pound. The description is a bit ambiguous so I would recommend asking a staff member to help if you're looking for something specific. I ended purchasing all milk chocolate even though I only eat dark chocolate. However, the ones I tried were extremely good and rich in flavor. Turkish ice cream: Watching this made was also an experience. They scooped the stretchy ice cream made from nuts up by hand and rolled it around pistachios into a cup for you. The flavor was unlike anything I've had. Very creamy and nutty. Not too sweet. It also melts very slowly. Knafeh: Obsessed. Absolutely. This was my first time having knafeh and I was addicted. Thick layer of cheese underneath with crunchy sweet flakes on top, topped off with pistachios. I literally crave this every week. I've never had a cheesy dessert like this and it's so so good.

Yelp
I heard about this business via TikTok. I came here to try the viral Dubai strawberry cup and the viral Taoqi Mango ice cream. The parking lot was narrow, small, and was home to several other businesses. Good luck finding parking spaces. Once inside it is very bright and fully stocked of international goodies and sweets! The line was not too long when we entered around 1pm on a Friday. Everyone was in line for the Dubai strawberry cup and various other pastries, teas, and coffees. The Dubai strawberry cup was $17.99 and the Taoqi Mango ice cream was $6.99 plus tax. The Dubai strawberry cup I thoroughly enjoyed. The strawberries were sweet, chocolate was creamy, the pistachio flavor was light, and the kadaif added the best texture and crunch in every single bite! I'm upset I didn't buy another one. The Taoqi mango ice cream was a nice surprise, because they are usually found in Asian markets. This establishment had the mango and the peach flavor fully stocked. The packaged of the ice cream was really pretty. I opted for the mango which was semi sweet. The texture of the ice cream was creamy with a hint of mango flavor. The shell was soft as well. I think the dessert was overpriced, but delicious to try. Overall this was a nice place to visit for a sweet treat. I will definitely be going back. I would recommend getting there early to find a decent parking spot. They do have a few tables if you'd like to enjoy your sweet treat with family and friends.

Yelp
When the rave started in tiktok about the Dubai Chocolate, I decided to try this place and do not regret it. They have the best, delicious Dubai chocolate as well as a lot of variety of desserts. Have not found any other place that gets close to the delicious Dubai chocolate from here!

Yelp
It was packed here on an early Sunday afternoon. The parking lot was packed too. And it's tight making it harder to drive. We came to try the new viral fruit ice creams. We got their home made versions rathe than the manufactured ones from China, primarily because we didn't see the latter anywhere. Mango and peach for $10 each. I gotta say it was pretty darn tasty. Not gonna lie. But I still like the Dubai chocolate more. Nevertheless, sadly I think I could see myself now adding this to our shopping list when we return. Sigh.

The food & desserts were delicious! From the fruit gummies & chocolate it's the best I have ever tasted! The gelato was also delicious very rich in flavor. The line may be long but the the service was quick for me and the place is very clean & organized

Yelp
Dubai chocolate covered strawberries - 8.5/10 - $18 - These were really good but the sauces were thickened/frozen in the one we got so it was harder to eat, my friends was more liquified and it was a lot better Pistachio latte - 9/10 - $6 - Soo good, i got this half sweet and it was perfect This was my first time going here and it was such a cool place to me. All the halal gummies, chocolates, nuts, and snacks made me want to buy everything lol. As for their cafe, they have crepes and waffles , coffee , gelato, and more!

Yelp
I have to stop here every time I come to Houston. It is a must try for everyone! Their baklava is amazing. I sadly did not get any pics. But they have a wide variety of baklava, Turkish delights, and many other goodies! Staff is very friendly and helpful. If I had anything to suggest, it would be to label your baklava, like you do the Turkish delights. That would be super helpful and making ordering flow easier! They have a mixed nut baklava that is to die for! Place is always clean and well taken care of.

Yelp
You walk in and you feel that you have entered a Turkish bazaar. Lines of Turkish teas, sweets, spices and delights cover the walls. If that wasn't enough, hop in line for gelato, coffee and pastries galore. Enjoyed a pistachio latte with a Dubai chocolate cheesecake and left speechless. My dad doesn't enjoy sweets but this changed his mind! Can't wait for the Dallas location to open up so I can bring my crew!

Yelp
A hidden Gem for Middle Eastern treats - chocolate bomb 4,5/5 (this is good) - Dubai chocolate strawberry 3/5 - Matcha milk 3,5/5 (just ok) - the last dessert I forgot the name: but it's just tastes ok Service: We are waiting not that long because they have the dessert ready Ambience: the place is quite small, and there are only several tables, some people eat their dessert standing - they should provide some chairs for those.

Yelp
I don't know if I can give this place five stars yet, because my brother went here, and surprised me with their Dubai chocolate for my birthday. Their chocolates are amazing. My sister-in-law found the place and my brother surprised me for my birthday, while also picking out chocolates for his children and his wife. The quality was amazing. Each bite was incredible. I felt loved by my brother. I got teary-eyed with his surprises. While he knew to get me traditional flavors, his children were all about the other flavors and they were very happy. It was a great day with their dad. I appreciated my brother and his wife quite a bit more.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday and the line was to the door! There's a parking lot in the back if you cannot find a spot in the front. I waited for about 30-45 minutes before I was able to reach the front of the line for Dubai chocolate. There's more than Dubai chocolate here. They have homemade ice cream, coffee, baklavas, spices, teas, lots of varieties of candies, and much more. Their iced pistachio latte was really good!! It wasn't too sweet. You can tell they use high quality sweetener because there wasn't any bad after taste lingering on your tongue. There's plenty of chairs and tables to sit and enjoy your snacks and drinks. The Dubai chocolate lives up to its hype, it's REALLY GOOD but it is $5 a bar so be prepared to spend $$$. Would I go back? Yes, on a less busy day!

Yelp
Super cool place to try Middle Eastern confections, although kind of overwhelming (harsh white lights, loud music, countless options). Love that they have turkish delights cuz I'm always trying to taste those and they have a large variety of flavors. And while they have staff who assist and provide samples, I wish they had flavor labels so that I didn't have to ask about each specific one. Also tried the dubai chocolate covered strawberries and I love how fine their kanafa is, but I think I could do without the cake.
