Google
Best Thai food in Dallas! Everything we ordered was a hit. Service was great! Natalie was awesome 🌟

Google
I love this place! I love the food and it’s always a very nice environment. Today, I had a seafood soup with mushrooms a spicy and tangy taste with a side of spice, I would definitely get this again and highly recommend it! Natalie is wonderful very kind and attentive and lightens up the environment with her wonderful joyful spirit! Her service is a 10.

Google
The food is good except for anything with chicken, it’s always tough. The service is okay, but runs hot and cold. (Keep your ordering succinct, they’re not interested in chatting.) They say they’re open until 2:30 for lunch, but it’s not true. They actually asked me to leave at 2:38 !!! THEY WILL NOT SERVE YOU IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER 2:15!!! Which means they close for lunch at 2:15, NOT 2:30! Thankfully, there’s a lot of great Thai restaurants in Dallas.

Since I started eating Royal Thai food recommended by friends, I never go to any other Thai restaurants. The staff are all friendly and always greet you with smiles. Food are always amazingly delicious. 😋 My favorites should you not have tried yet….Golden sack, Thai fried beef, the moo yang….yummy!!!! Salads-Yahm Nuah, lahb and the delicious papaya salad with shrimp 🦐 You can never go wrong with any of the currys. We’ve tried all to see which we like the best and I can honestly say that they’re all wonderful. My most most favorite is the Pad woon sen noodles. The stir fries are great —-I ordered food for my work pot luck and it was a hit. My husband loves the whole branzino fish….we eat Royal Thai once a week. That’s how much we love it!😍 Amaaaaazzzzing. I give it 10 stars 💝Oh did I mention, the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

Google
My first time at this place and the experience was very good. The staff was helpful and provided good recommendations. We had the fried rice, calamari and the yellow curry with beef. Portion sizes are generous so I would limit the starters. The restaurant is ample and has a nice ambience. Parking is a bit challenging at night but if you go around you'll find a spot.

Google
One of the best places in Dallas. Food is fantastic and the service is phenomenal. We always come here when we’re in the area. Natalie was our server and she gave us the best service.

Google
This is my favorite restaurant in Dallas for many years. The staff always remembers us and our order the food is always amazing and amazingly priced. I love supporting such amazing staff.

Google
The food was ah-mazing ! Service was extremely nice And the atmosphere perfect (quiet and peaceful) You’ll probably can order anything and you’ll have a great experience. Loved everything we ordered, very tasty. Recommend

Yelp
Best Thai restaurant in Dallas! The pad Thai is delicious and so is the Thai tea!! The service was excellent.

Yelp
i enjoyed the Thai food, I was a hidden JEM, owner told me she had been there for 25 years Pad Thai was very tasty , spring rolls were loaded with ingredients, I will be coming back ( fair serving sizes)

Yelp
I use to love this place before the pandemic . Went all the time. The food and service were always good but unfortunately both have gone downhill! They just don't seem to have enough waitstaff and the food is not as good. Tried to order 2 glasses of wine and the waitress didn't understand and had to get another waitress to take our order after waiting for someone to take our order for a while! I usually get appetizers and the tulip dumplings and fried calamari were my favorite! The calamari breading was different and fell off and not near as crispy and the dumplings were rather tuff! The last several times have not been pleasant so probably won't return

Yelp
Service is very good, and the place is nice and clean. food Is goos quality and fair priced. 10/10

Yelp
If you're craving Thai & want to pickup food, Royal Thai is solid. Online order is generally quick (15-20 min)

Yelp
It's been awhile since back. Their dining room is just as ornate and comfortable. Lunch service was wonderfully attentive. For me, tad too sweet with no depth of spices was their "Green Curry with Beef". Liking more and I'd come back for are their "Chicken Satay"; and, freshly stir fried noodles with Thai soy bean sauce, "Pad See-lew"! Cheers!

Yelp
So far I've been here twice and have loved the food so much! As a vegetarian it's hard to find Thai restaurants that are able to make dishes without fish or oyster sauce so we were very excited to find this restaurant! So far we've had the tofu satay, 2 curries, and the drunken noodles and have loved every dish. The staff are friendly and have been very flexible with allowing us to stay a little past the official closing time one time when we had a late day at work. I would definitely recommend stopping by especially if your vegan/vegetarian

Kindra R.

Yelp
The lady who helped me was extremely rude. She was a waitress working dinner shift. Impatient and obviously hates her job.

Yelp
A little surprised by the low rating of this restaurant. Have frequented here for a decade - only for dinner though, and never had any bad experience. Comparing with many other Thai restaurants in the area, this one stands out in both food quality and ambience. Service in all Thai restaurants are good in general, so doesn't stand out as much - dishes don't always come out quickly if you are in a rush, but otherwise pretty standard (=good). A few of our favorites: crab Rangoon (appetizer, on a special menu), Tom Yahm soup with shrimp, Pad-see-lew with Shrimp, pineapple-fried rice with shrimp and yellow curry. By now you may know that we love their shrimps when it comes to protein choices, they are always fresh, succulent and never over or undercooked.

Yelp
I went here for dinner with five other family members, and we had a wonderful time. The dumplings were great, both vegetarian and meat. everybody enjoyed their meal and we had a wonderful time. I liked the service, the ambience and the food. I've been several times before and find it to be very consistent. I'm looking forward to going back.

Cathy G.

Yelp
Still the absolute best Thai in Dallas! Not too crowded because of a big takeout business. The food is so clean and fabulous! Great atmosphere. Don't forget this gem!
google avatar

Alison K.

Yelp
Ok last time I said that would be the last time but I used to love this place more than was normal, so I gave it another try. The orange chicken was about the worst thing I've ever tried. And the Mongolian beef was not at all what I was expecting. So, maybe I'll give the noodles one more try but it won't be anytime soon. I'm sad because I used to crave this restaurant.

Maritere R.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Owner kicked me out just because I was sitting at the bar on FaceTime! No one else was at the bar but me! Really rude!

Lisa C.

Yelp
Went for the first time in a couple of years, because it's usually so busy -- it still has the lovely interior and friendly service. Food however was shockingly bad. We remember it being quite good in the past. This time: The fresh rolls were filled with 99% iceberg lettuce!! With a couple shards of carrot like from a bag. Our entrees tasted of salt and nothing else. What happened here??
google avatar

Andrea V.

Yelp
The food was great! We ordered the panang, orange chicken and pineapple fried rice. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. However, the service was not so great. We originally ordered fresh spring rolls as an appetizer and they were never brought out. I also ordered my panang non spicy because I'm pregnant right now and it was definitely a level 5 spicy. The server was not the friendliest and made us feel rushed to leave. I will definitely be ordering take out here but not dine in.
google avatar

Yelp
Spicy Noodle (AKA pad kee mow) with sliced beef. Trust me - you've got to try this sliced beef. Incredibly tender and flavorful .Easily the best beef I've ever had at any Asian restaurant. Come to think of it, I can't think of any beef ive ever had that was better than this. Fried rice with chicken was okay. Chicken was dry. GET. THE. BEEF.

Yelp
Visiting Dallas is always so much fun with all of the hustle and bustle and new-to-me restaurants to try. This trip was a visit to World Market and in the middle of the visit found myself famished. I thought of going to Pluckers a few doors down but noticed Royal Thai across the parking lot, so, on this chilly afternoon, I thought a bowl of Thai soup would be better. Oh yes, and better it was! I ordered the fried chicken spring rolls with woon sen soup. Each were out of this world delicious with beautiful presentations. I will definitely be back to try other options.

Joe S.

Yelp
Mixed results on a recent dinner visit: corn fritters and a side salad were fine. Pad woon sen, normally a wonderfully saucy, fine rice-noodle dish, was dry with withered noodles and zero sauce. Not one of their better efforts, but will try again, hoping they'll have a better attempt.

Yelp
The lighting is a little hazy but it feels like a cute and casual date night spot. My partner and I both had the cashew delight. I had the chicken and he had the tofu. It was definitely delicious! Good amount of protein and veggies. (We wanted more because we just love veg) I have a major sweet tooth so I ordered the fried banana. For any of you vegans out there, this is the desert for you! Lucious and not over done, fried banana, maple syrup, & coconut shavings! We both were making "mmmm!" Sounds the whole night. With all of that being said, the reason I gave this place only 4 stars: 1. the table was wiped down with a wet rag. (Eww) 2. There were fecal signs in the ladies bathroom. (Eww!) Over all, I loved the food and the staff were nice, but the cleaning needs some work.

Yelp
Let's start with the good - the food was quite tasty. We had the Pad Se Ew, Tom Kha soup, and Massaman curry. All were well seasoned and the curry had a nice kick. The not as good - the service or lack thereof. We were seated promptly upon entering but no drink or food order was taken for the next 20 minutes. Our orders were finally taken and after about 15 more minutes one dish came out. 15 minutes after that the server noticed and asked if we had ever gotten our other food which we had not. The remaining dishes came out about 5 minutes later. Our drinks were not refilled until a server was flagged down from the other side of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is well appointed and inviting. Combine that with the good food and it should have been a winner. I am hoping it was just an off night for them.

Yelp
Too much sugar, very slow service, 1 to 10 ( very good), I give Royal Thai 3,room to improve

Susie M.

Yelp
Excellent food in calm and pleasant surroundings. Quiet and efficient service. Well cooked food. Very fresh food. Loved it.

Yelp
This place hit the spot after a long day! There's a variety of good sides to choose from. and the entrees were very delicious! There is a dress code but the place and the staff were nice and understanding. As a fan of Thai food this place doesn't disappoint.
google avatar

Kavaragu M.

Yelp
The rundown: We actually wanted to go to Pluckers but the wait was at least 45 mins and we didn't want to wait. This place was in the same strip mall/parking lot with no wait. We went inside and the host was welcoming. Always a plus in my book. **** Once inside I had to run to the bathroom and when I came back the server was at our table interacting with my companion. There was a marked language barrier with just asking a question about the sake. This was mildly concerning but it worked out. *** Food: Came fast, was hot, fresh, and was delicious. Not sure what more I can say. Not many restaurants offer khao soi and this one did not disappoint. ***** Overall: I gave this place 4 stars only because communication is important to ensure orders aren't prepared incorrectly causing food to sometimes be sent back. In the end it all worked out and I would recommend the food for anyone looking for good fast casual/Thai food.

Yelp
I ordered Tulip Dumping and Pad Thai Chicken. My review reflects the taste, service, and overall experience. Tulip Dumpling tasted pretty good, but I am really curious how it takes less than 5 mins to prepare and to bring it. Pad Thai is so-so, nothing special. Sauce is not too salty, but there is not too much special about it. The noodles feel too loosened, and there is little lack of flavor. And on the table, there is just a set of pepper and salt. No additional sauce was brought to the table. Portion seems alright, but the plating and everything just says "this is just ok." The cashier made a mistake and charged me $79.xx instead of $19.xx. I pointed out, and the transaction became void. Overall, the place is so-so.

Yelp
Came here for a weekday lunch. I ordered the Pad See Ew lunch special, and it came with a salad and an egg roll in addition to the main dish. The Pad See Ew was really good. I thought that the portion size was perfect. The noodles were also flavored really well. However, the egg roll didn't taste very fresh. I'd probably come back here for the lunch special, since it's very cheap for the area.

Yelp
Food is good just to Americanized for me. Service is great and ambiance is chill and relaxing
google avatar

Andrew R.

Yelp
Visited Royal Thai for the first time. The staff was very nice and ambience in the restaurant is first class with relaxing music. We ordered a number of dishes to sample some of the top recommended food options. The pad see ew was very bland and had a seafood taste to it which was very weird. I would not recommend the orange chicken because their version of it is fried chicken strips with the sauce lightly drilled over it. The shrimp fried rice was the best option with a number of gulf shrimp in it. The spring rolls were basic but a good way to take in tht environment while we waited for the food. Maybe it was an off night with the chef since it was a holiday but I will update my review if there's a second visit.

Sydney S.

Yelp
I was a regular at Royal Thai for a few months. Every single dish I tried at this restaurant was delicious. Small drink menu but what they did have was good. The host is very warm and inviting. Romantic atmosphere, relaxed music. Inexpensive food yet great quality. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with one server and will not return because of that. She was visibly bothered by my guests' son, whose volume was a little higher than desired. She asked me if I would be able to 'control him' for the duration of the meal and said that she received complaints the last time he came to the restaurant with me. I felt like this was completely uncalled for as he is 4 years old and truly was not too loud for the other 4 tables that were seated in the restaurant.

Yelp
Fantastic Thai food served in a quiet setting. My favorite hands down. The staff is always so gracious. My first time ordering delivery via Favor. Just as great as being there! Thank you for making such delicious food!
google avatar

Yelp
This place used to be my favorite for Thai while in this area, today I had the worst experience today se got here at 4 when they open and we waited 45 minutes for a orange chicken that it was terrible the sauce was watery I ask for fried rice instead of white rice they charge me 4$ for it so my sons plate that we waited 1 hour cost me 18$ no one refill our water I had to ask them for everything really bad service and bad experience sad because this place was so good

Yelp
Where do I start? I'm originally from NYC but Thai food there doesn't match the quality of ingredients that Royal Thai in Dallas uses. From the moment you walk in the staff treats you like royalty and caters to your every need. Portions are real and authentic ; very generous. Royal Thai gets full quickly so arrive early for a good spot. I'll be returning next time I'm in Dallas (8 min walk from the Lovers Lane DART station!) The coconut curry chicken was OUTSTANDING !!!! No words to describe it ; it exceeded my expectations. Don't hesitate to come here!

Andrew_ V.

Yelp
Takeout order...for delivery. Items left off and substitutions not followed. Our usual dishes (Spicy Catfish) we order were not as good as expected. Flower dumplings bland.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I've eaten here and gotten takeout. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. It's a charming restaurant, and I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a lowkey dinner night.
google avatar

Stephen W.

Yelp
I had not been here for several years. My recollection was that it was a bit overpriced and food was just ok. This trip changed my mind! The menu has been revised and prices are lower than what I remember, now mostly in the $8.95-$9.95 range. My Royal Thai curry with chicken (#19) was excellent. Deep flavor, not too spicy, and lots of thinly sliced chicken. We also had avocado eggs rolls as an app that are deep fried and come with a very tasty peanut based sauce. For dessert we tried fresh mango with sweet sticky rice--wow, it was good and I am not a dessert fan. Mango was fresh and sweet. We also had the coconut ice cream which did not have much flavor but was refreshingly cool on a hot Dallas day. Service was polite and efficient. Based on this experience, it won't be several years before my return.

Yelp
Royal Thai has been in our family's rotation of tasty Thai food for several years. When we can dine in-person, they have a lovely dining room that is both elegant and intimate. We've gotten take out since the start of the pandemic. We have enjoyed the food but without the lovely ambiance of their dining room, it isn't the same. In our recent take-out order, we ordered Pad Thai, Massaman curry, Pad Gratiem Plik Thai (Broccoli with tofu), and E-Sarn Classic (flank steak). The Pad Thai used thin noodles that are different from almost any other Pad Thai I've ever had. The flavor was good. I would have enjoyed vegetables and/or some additional protein. The Massaman curry was flavorful but even with a request of "mild," it was too spicy for our son. We had never tried the flank steak and it was good. The side sauce was heavy on the vinegar, but the marinade was good. Overall, the food is good and the ambiance is amazing!
google avatar

Bryan L.

Yelp
This was our first time, trying royal Thai while we are visiting family. The pad Thai was really good and great flavor. The crispy orange beef was not very good to go. I'm sure it would be better in person because they're able to have the sauce on it but it got dried out really bad and we couldn't even eat it.
google avatar

Tamera B.

Yelp
The best Thai I've had in the DFW area! Every dish myself and my friends have tried is delicious with large portions. 4 stars is because service was a little sketchy a couple of times that we went, but I will definitely return. I usually get the basil chicken with ground chicken....it's fantastic. My friends usually get the Royal Thai curry, which they love. I've gotten 3 co-workers hooked on Royal Thai as well.
google avatar

Eizel C.

Yelp
Our favorite Thai place - we were looking to go across the street one night but everything was closed. We came across Royal Thai & it was a hole in the wall. Great food! Great customer service! We've been back a couple times!
google avatar

Janna G.

Yelp
I am a big pad thai fan and my friend said that this is her favorite place to get thai so we came and I was not disappointed!! Get the spring rolls! They are delicious! A little greasy but if you're going to go down the fried food route, it's not a bad way to go. They only get 4 stars because the customer service could have been better. We had multiple servers throughout our time, I had to wait a long time to get the check and I asked for lemon in my water and they didn't give me any :/

Vivienne A.

Yelp
Great traditional Thai dishes in beautiful dining setting. Busy at times. Takes reservations. Take out is also good option.

Rachel S.

Yelp
I had the flu so ordered red curry take-out. I ordered 2 on the level of spice because that was the lowest option. When I attempted to eat it, it was more like a level 5. Unfortunately I could not eat it at all. Wasted time, wasted money. To be fair, this restaurant has always had good service, is clean and has a very nice atmosphere. I was not expecting to be disappointed like this.
google avatar

Rayna H.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday and they did not disappoint! Great food, great service and great atmosphere. I was well pleased. Definitely want to go again.
google avatar

Kam N.

Yelp
Been coming here for 20 plus years. The service lately is horrendous. They just don't care and ignore you. Only 2 other tables at lunch and took 15 minutes to place an order and another 30 to get food. Server was gone the entire time. So many other Thai restaurants that have more attentive staff. No reason to return here.
google avatar

Temina C.

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing! The service is excellent as well as the food. I came during a Sunday evening around 5pm and the restaurant was empty. By 6pm, it was packed! You can tell this is a very popular Thai restaurant. I ordered the garlic shrimp and my friend ordered a daily special which was a curried shrimp dish with avocado and brown rice. The food came out in minutes but it wasnt super hot which was a bit disappointing however it was incredibly delicious! Parking can be a bit tricky because the shopping plaza the restaurant is in is very busy. Even on a Sunday it was hard to find parking. Overall I'll be back! Great thai food is located here!
google avatar

Yenlinh T.

Yelp
We love thai food so decided to check it out with my daughter. The lady server was extremely rude and def not a kids friendly place. We ended up boxing up our food as soon as it arrived because I felt so uncomfortable. Definitely not coming back because of the way we were treated.
google avatar

Martin K.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant with nice decor and friendly staff. Love the Tom Kha gai soup and the swimming angel chicken. The soup was the perfect balance of sour, sweet and spicy. It comes with whole mushrooms and lots of chicken. The Royal swimming angel had tender chicken over spinach with a Thai peanut sauce. Again, well balanced, not too sweet, just a great peanut taste. Definitely one of the best Thai places in he area.
google avatar

Jill D.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years and it is a go-to for us. We love the lemon grass chicken but my favorite is the orange beef. If you like spicy, ask them to make it a bit spicier! Service is always spot on. Food is always perfection, even in takeout. Management is awesome. The atmosphere is very comfortable. I really like their tea! Sometimes it is hard to find a restaurant that has a nice cold glass of well-brewed tea right? We also like sticky rice for dessert. Whether you live in Dallas or just visiting, you have to eat at Royal Thai!
google avatar

Hong T.

Yelp
In the 6 months I've lived in dallas this is the most underwhelming meal I've had here. We started with the chicken satay and tulip dumplings, would not get again. The tom kha soup was alright. My girlfriend had the Mongolian beef, it was alright at best. I had the E-cern, the papaya salad which I was looking forward to tasted like it was just tossed in prepared fish sauce, not good. The beef flavor was alright and the sauce went ok with it. The sticky rice they told me 30 minutes after ordering that they were out. And then I told them to cancel that order then, they somehow found sticky rice, but the bottom was hard and the top only had a few edible bites. Underwhelming
