My wife and I stayed here during a recent trip to NYC and had an amazing experience. From the moment we checked in, the customer service was top notch. Omar checked us in and was generous to give us a nice upgrade to a room with a great view and very large bathroom. The hotel is in a great location in Flatiron and walkable to many great attractions. The hotel restaurant had really good food and prompt service. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. I would recommend for anyone who is looking for a hotel in the area.

Google
There's a lot to like about this hotel. The upper floor lounge is a highlight and is gorgeous in the morning and/or with sun. The style of the hotel is somewhat young and hip. The restaurant is cool with decent, moderately priced food. Rooms are nice, views are good. Staff is mostly excellent. Only drawback is this hotel is not a well-oiled machine. Many NYC hotels are like wound clocks - they operate tight. Royalton Park Avenue needs some improvement. The heater in my room didn't work and it took 2 hours, plus 3 trips to reception to get it fixed. Coffee comes out sometimes at 7:15am, sometimes at 8am and sometimes at 8:30am. Sometimes there's hot water next to coffee, sometimes not. Location is awesome and 95% of this hotel is great. If the price is right, I'll stay here again.

My husband and I had the most wonderful stay here! The customer service was top notch, including complimentary chocolate and Prosecco for my husband’s birthday! The front desk employees were also very welcoming and great. We stayed in a grand deluxe king and it was so spacious, plus it had a wonderful soaking tub that came in handy after all of the walking we did. Great location and was overall a wonderful experience.

Google
This was our third stay at the Royalton Park Avenue Hotel in the last year, and we will definitely plan to stay there again. All staff have been helpful and friendly, and the hotel and rooms have been clean and neat. We really appreciate the spaciousness of the rooms here! The location is perfect for us as our son and his fiance live on E 33rd Street. We have eaten breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel which was very good as well.

Google
We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate my daughters’ 18th birthday. The concierge did a lovely job with welcome cookies and a card. We stayed in room 421 which was very quiet and also had the bonus of an outdoor terrace (although in 20 degree F weather we didn’t take advantage!). The year-round indoor/outdoor pool is a nice touch which many people were using even in the cold weather. The penthouse bar area is lovely and cocktails were good. We didn’t dine in the hotel. Staff were generally very friendly and efficient although one time I had to wait ages for table service in the bar. All in all an enjoyable stay and a great value

Google
An exceptional experience! This hotel offers the most spacious rooms you’ll find for the price in Manhattan. The room and view were stunning, but what truly stood out was the staff's flawless attention to detail. We combined a business trip with some personal downtime, and our invoicing required extra care for expense account purposes. They handled it seamlessly, breaking down the bill precisely as we needed. I’ve officially found my go-to hotel in NYC—no need to look elsewhere! Also, I was unaware of this, but Royalton is part of a network of boutique hotels called "I Prefer." Sign up for their rewards program. There are some incredible properties in their portfolio.

Google
The Royalton continues to be one of our favorite places to stay! We’re always blown away by the incredible staff—Omar, Juan, Courtney, and Alexis are truly exceptional. They consistently go above and beyond to make every visit special, and their hospitality keeps us coming back. While we love so much about the experience, we do feel that room renovations are long overdue, and updating the accommodations and adding a great fitness center would make the stay even better. That said, the amazing service and location are why we keep returning.

Google
From start to finish tis hotel was the perfect choice for my son and I with friendly staff and with the warmth and comfort of the reception area I couldn't fault it. ||The room was very spacious and comfortable. ||I was greeted with a bottle of Prosecco and cake and a hand written note from the staff as I was celebrating my birthday whilst there. Thank you to all involved I was really surprised. ||24/7 care and attention from the staff and whilst there my family came for a drink we went the the roof top and it was fabulous. The weather however didn't play ball it was a rainy evening and there was zero visibility of the Empire State Building but it was definitely there the next night. ||Thank you I hope to visit here again. ||Jenny & Oisín from Ireland 🇮🇪

Yelp
Being an AMEX user. Stayed at this hotel and we had a great experience. Our room was automatically upgraded to a better one and they took care of us and our luggage when we had to check out and time to go to the airport. the food is great and we went to the rooftop to check the views and the amazing food. Pool was heated for the cold the service at the lounge and restaurant is superb!

Yelp
I am currently staying at the Royalton Park Avenue Hotel for my first visit to New York City, celebrating my 40th birthday, and I find myself feeling a bit disappointed. I had gone back and forth between this hotel and another option, and I can't help but think I might have made the wrong choice. The hotel itself is nice, and the beds are extremely comfortable, which has been a definite plus during my stay. However, the customer service has not lived up to my expectations for a five-star hotel. Upon checking in, there was no warm welcome or greeting. I wasn't asked if I had stayed here before or offered any assistance with my heavy suitcases. Instead, I had to handle them myself while noticing that the guests before me were treated to offers of help with their bags and I overheard their rooms were also upgraded. This morning, I encountered another frustrating issue while trying to make coffee in my room. The coffee pods are kept with the charged food items, so I removed a pod, and I'm fully expecting a charge for it. However, when I went to fill the water filter in the coffee pot, I was shocked to find it very dirty; the water was cloudy and undrinkable. As a result, I'm essentially paying for coffee that I can't even drink. I've had a better experience at a three star hotel. I would honestly save your money and stay somewhere else that probably offers the same level of customer service, if not better.

Yelp
Avoid this hotel at all costs. Both managers, aptly named Alexis, are con artists. I cancelled my reservation promptly after being told if the hotel is not meeting my expectations I am free to cancel and go to another hotel. This was over the phone before I had even stepped foot onto the hotel property. This shows you how bad the experience was where I wanted to go to another hotel just based off of the rude and incompetent behavior of Alexis. I immediately had my travel agent cancel my reservation. Two weeks later, this hotel billed my creditcard for a cancellation fee. The hotel managers here are scam artists. Do not book at this hotel because the hotel has a very bad reputation (do a Google search, something I should have done). If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. Avoid this dump hotel and the trash that work there. Once you go inside, which I did in order to report the conduct of these two unprofessional people, you will see for yourself what a nightmare awaits. It's the blemish of Park Avenue South.

Yelp
All i can say is 5 stars all around here! Thus far the service has been white glove and continues to impress. The room images on the site are highly accurate to the room size and layout. Then we leave for a few hours only to unexpectedly receive a surprise from the lead concierge Eric. A heartfelt and endearing card with Prosecco complimentary bottle for my birthday. Totally unexpected. I guess all those pay it forward days finally came back to me as well. Thank you royalton team and what a surprise. Eric you outdid yourself and I'm grateful!

Chris E.

Yelp
The whole experience here is top-tier. From great customer service to tasty food. Great view of the city and heated outdoor pools. Thanks to Kelly Martinez my server who was very informative and provided me with top-of-the-line service. I will be coming back just for Kelly's great service and the food of course. The general manager Sean has definitely made it harder for the next manager to impress me because he is one of one. Nothing like him. Let me not forget to add the drinks are next level and very reasonable pricing as well. You will not regret coming here.

Michelle O.

Yelp
07/27/23: Coworkers and I decided to check it out for after work drinks. Cool chic spot. Hostess nice and engaging. Pretty much where it ended. Our server wasn't the most hospitable or engaging. Not attentive..wasn't that busy. Originally ordered a cosmo. Was not tasty at all sent it back and ordered a Prosecco much better. Ordered a wrap pretty tasty. All in all would I return, doubt it.

Nick W.

Yelp
Stayed here for the US Open. Great location and the rooms are spacious for NYC. I would looks elsewhere next time though for the following reasons: A few things that are issues Beds were squeaky Valet is $85/day - according to my app, my car was unlocked with a window open for 3 straight days as well. They charge a $50 facility fee so we accrued another $400 in fees over the course of three nights.

Pierre M.

Yelp
This is the best boutique hotel near the Madison Square Park / Flatiron. It has a great pool and stunning views towards the Empire State Building. Ideally located with most Manhattan neighborhoods at walking distance (anything above Washington Square Park and below Central Park). The rooms are clean and quite spacious (for NYC). It is my go-to hotel when travelling for business to NYC. The bar on the top floor is great for an evening drink (don't expect proper restaurant food though, it's more bar snacks). The breakfast is a bit pricey and not big. I would recommend going to nearby Penelope for weekend brunch or Seven Grams Cafe for a quick breakfast before business affairs.

Yelp
UPDATE November 4. The general manager hasn't returned a single message or phone call. I'd say that they don't actually care which is a shame. I've left at least four messages for the general manager to please contact me regarding our horrific stay it has been a week and I've heard back nothing. Crickets. We really wanted to love this property. Our stay was plagued with errors from the day we booked. One of our rooms was cancelled without explanation. When I called, I was told we needed to fill out a credit form despite having a card that was placed in the reservation. After several days and phone calls we were finally able to get that situation resolved (or so we thought ) we were then charged for the entire stay despite not having chosen a prepaid room. We were also told by reservations that the type of room we booked would guarantee a 10th floor or higher. We were also supposed to receive a discount on the room as a promotion through the website. Not sure if that even happened. We go to check in and are told we're on the lower levels. And we were unhappy. The front desk staff and manager were defensive, short with us and literally told us " we needed to prove what reservations told us " I was so shocked by the manager's response. Fine. Whatever. We leave to go enjoy nyc. We return to the hotel and we we were told they moved us to the 9th floor. Ok fine. Here's where things deteriorated for us. One of the rooms had a malfunctioning light that created a strobe effect that was coming from the outside balcony. So my family member got zero sleep. When we alerted the front desk we were told there was nothing they could do until Monday. Day two. Still had the strobing light. Again asked the front desk if they could please do something. They seemed super inconvenienced and we got no response. I'm very unclear on why she wasn't moved to another room as no it was day 2 with no sleep. We return from another day exploring nyc to see empty champagne bottles...we inquire ,front desk staff literally say. Oh yeah that's over. It ended 15 min ago. It would have been nice to have been told upon check in or the half a dozen times we spoke with the front desk. Last day : They did manage to finally fix the strobing light. But then her safe malfunctioned and she was unable to get to her medication, they were able to call in a special team to drill the safe. This was from midnight until 3:30-4AM No accommodations were made. When I spoke to Alex the manager he was again immediately defensive and said there was NO construction. Had he taken 5 seconds to look at the notes maybe he could have handled the situation better. We left frustrated and very disappointed in our stay. Only Louis went above and beyond to try and help. Otherwise this stay was literally awful. Save your money stay elsewhere.

Yelp
SUMMARY: Really great stay. Nice suite and super comfy bed. DETAILS: I had a Manhattan Suite (room 1508). There was a huge amount of storage (6 large closets in addition to the drawers and cabinets), a half bathroom off the entryway. A bar was located just before the living room. The living room had a desk, TV, couch, and two arm chairs. The bedroom had an arm chair, second desk, and king sized bed. It was one of the most comfortable beds I have had in a room in a long time. Pillows and sheets were great too. Separate thermostats for living and bedroom. Main bathroom was beautiful. It has a double sink, glass shower and deep soaking tub. I spoke with 2 or 3 people over the course of my 2 day stay and everyone was exceptionally nice. I got the feeling that if I needed anything then they'd go above and beyond to make it happen if they could. Only 1 tiny thing would have made it better: it would have been nice if an upscale room like this had an AppleTV or some way to easily cast from my computer to the TV... something more modern than the old-style menu TV with Mario Lopez giving celebrity news haha But that is pretty minor. I would definitely recommend the Royalton Park Avenue and I will be returning in the future.

Yelp
Rooftop bar for NYE. 2 bartenders for 300+ person venue. waited 40 minutes for a drink. No NYE countdown either, sad.

Jeff E.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at the Royalton Park Avenue from 9/13/24-9/23/24. During our 49 year marriage we have travelled all over the United States staying in countless hotels and resorts. Trust me when I tell you that our stay at the Royalton was absolutely fabulous. Great location, reasonably priced well appointed spacious clean room, terrific outdoor roof pool/bar and a staff of youthful energetic employees and management team that were as pleasant and helpful as could be. Throw in a well versed concierge and we are already looking forward to staying there again over the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

Paul P.

Yelp
Check for the fees on your stay! We were charged 3 different fees (Facility Fee, Facility Fee NYS Tax 8.875%, and Facility Fee NYC Occ Tax 5.875%) which can add up when you are only staying a few days. The pool was really cool (but do check the hours, its not open all the time), and the rooftop bar had a good vibe, very chill, staff was great. They try this new thing where they text you asking if you have any questions and how the stay is going. Really great idea, but the staff kept mixing up the texts. One person would respond, then the next would respond with wrong name, wrong time. They apologized, but still it was annoying. Room was good, bed was fine. But again, check the fees before you book.

Yaya M.

Yelp
Great place for drinks, the vibes is great . I always have a great time , the staff and the manger are great . They always take great care of us , I've been recommending this place to many of my friends . Sebastian make absolutely great drinks , & Rocio always makes sure we feel welcome :)

Alex P. T.

Yelp
The view from the pool on the last day of summer was stunning. The Empire State Building was lit in red, white and blue. There was an amazing NYFW show there as well by Presage Magazine. What an amazing space! We also had some delicious food on the top level by the pool. A delicious chicken sandwich and spicy fries. Just perfect. The servers were so friendly and helpful. One even gave me directions to my next destination. New York City is so beautiful and when you find places that you can recharge and freshen up- put them on your list of places to return. I know I definitely will make it back there again. It was such a great night.

Sheila C.

Yelp
Location was great! Close to subway lines (6). Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfy. Bathroom had plenty of counter space despite the large trough style sink. Shower could have had more pressure. Rooftop bar was pleasant and employees there were top notch as well.

Madeline A.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay here! The hotel is in prime location; within walking distance to most tourist attractions and the 6 train is right on the corner to go elsewhere. The staff at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. They allowed me to check in a little early which was I really grateful for. I had called to request a bathtub in my room prior to my reservations and was told there were no guarantees and it depended on availability. I was really excited when they were able to honor this request during check in. I ended up with a queen superior room on the 9th floor. Everything was very clean and the room was huge for NYC standards. There was a mini bar, snack and coffee for purchase. The bathtub was really deep and exactly what I had in mind. I also enjoyed the complimentary slippers and robes. Room service is available for all meals; $6 delivery charge and 20% gratuity added. I checked out the rooftop lounge/bar early afternoon. It was quiet with only a couple people there. Cocktails were $18 and wine $16. The male bartender was friendly. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The pool area is off to the side of the bar; hours are limited in the winter months, but it does open for a few because it's heated. They did have nice looking loungers, but the pool area as a whole was small. Views of the Empire State building can only be seen from the pool area. I also enjoyed the gym on the 4th floor. You need to request a separate key at the front desk to use the gym as your room key does not work. They have two treadmills, two Pelotons, a couple of weight machines, yoga mats and a small outdoor area if you want to do an outdoor workout. Everything was very clean; towels, wipes and a water fountain were available. From what I read on their website about their fitness partnerships, many of those locations have closed down since COVID. I also did not see a spa; although maybe I had to ask the concierge. I did think that the amenity fee of $46 was a lot. The rooftop, I believe, is open to the public, so I'm not sure why they charge guests for access, especially when you still need to pay for drinks there. I had no desire to lay by the pool in the winter. I also called to request my complimentary New York Times, which was included in the fee, however they did not have any available. If an amenity fee is needed (since this is NYC after all), I do think they should have a separate winter and summer amenity fee since I can see it being worth it if you wanted to lounge by the pool all day. Check out was smooth and I was happy to hear that they would be able to hold my luggage for a couple hours since my train wasn't until 4pm. Overall, great stay. A little pricey for what it is, but I did have a great time.

Courtney M.

Yelp
Their front desk is unreachable. I've called for a week to try and book a special room (can't do online) and cannot get through. I've also emailed. Horrible customer service.

R. K.

Yelp
In the shadow of New York City Hotel uncertainty the perfectly placed (29th and Park) Royalton Park Avenue is a safe bet. We found all employees pleasant and helpful. The room / bathroom was spaciously modern and comfortable. The outside terrace private. Check In / Check Out smooth. A fine one night stay.

Alexander Q.

Yelp
Hotel room was decently nice. They did try to upsell to a "larger" room as soon as we got there which was kind of annoying but my main issue is with parking. 1. They aren't clear how much parking is anywhere on their website. 2. The parking ticket clearly says to call 45 minutes ahead of leaving to get your car. I called 45 minutes ahead of checkout at 11:15, check out was at 12. At 12 we checked out and stood outside waiting for our car. We waited an hour and 30 minutes for my car to be brought to me. At about 1230 we were told it would be 5 minutes more, which I could clearly see on my app that my car had not been moved yet. They repeated the lie multiple times and then promised to credit our whole parking fee for our stay. We received the car at 1:30 PM. Today I got my bill and not only was the parking double what I found on their site they only credited me for one day. Kind of defeats the purpose of Valet since I couldve parked for cheaper and faster at a near by garage.

Alicia S.

Yelp
Beautiful and centrally located hotel with the kindest staff. Our stay at Royalton Park Avenue was very much enjoyed. The amenities were great, front desk & staff were always readily available to answer any questions and provide recommendations. The room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and sound proof. Would definitely return.

Sak P.

Yelp
Bed Bugs. - I always do a sweep and check of a hotel room before I get settled. And sure enough. This is what I found. I neglected to google and find reviews prior to booking. But it seems this place has a history of this issue. The receptionist asked if i wanted to stay in another room. But I opted to just stay in another hotel all together.

Sultan M.

Yelp
Tiny room, mediocre quality, weird bathrooms, cleaning service isn't that well done... great location and total party pool. Cheapest thing on the menu is the $5 fries. Note, if you're over 5 ft tall the shower might be problematic.

Amber P.

Yelp
This place was very racist i never felt so embarrassed in my 35 years. Me and my 4 Friends made reservations for the rooftop pool when we reached the host gave us bands and showed us to the pool area we then was greeted by the host of the event or pool party he asked if we reserved the cabana that was all reserved we told him no and we wasn't aware he then ripped the bands Off our wrist in-front everyone at the event. We asked can we pay the 500 for a cabana that came with just the chair nothing else he Said it was none available while a group of ladies just got in with no problem 7 min b4 we have the video. This place is classless the video will be on YouTube and google don't support this business it's not people friendly ( if you black)

Meredith M.

Yelp
Room is great. Very comfortable and spacious. Big bathroom. I found guest services and room service to be very quick. My only complaint is that the service at the rooftop restaurant was bad - so I would opt to eat outside of the restaurant. But I would definitely stay at the hotel again. Great location. And right next to a Starbucks so I could pickup a coffee on my way out to explore.

Yollee L.

Yelp
I don't write a lot of reviews but since I saw this hotel only had 3 stars, I was surprised. I had a great experience with the service, my room and overall stay. I spent most mornings at the pool where I was provided excellent service while I relaxed. I will be booking again and this most likely be the only hotel I book when I visit nyc in the

Ken C.

Yelp
The hotel is very nice the roof top pool is great and the location is very central and close to many things in Manhattan. However I was double billed for my 5 night stay, after causing havoc on my bank account. I reached out to the hotel 5 times with in a weak and a half asking for of a copy of my bill, which never happened. I also left many messages with the hotel manager who never called me back. Also the add gratuity to your bill at the pool which would be no big deal if they told you it was on there. So be ware if you stay there watch your money and keep copies of all recipients. It may be a very nice e hotel but the way they do business is worse than motel 6

Christy M H.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in the heart of NYC, I do love this place based on the staffs attentiveness to their guests and the fact that every time I get food or drink from the bar it tastes GREAT. Every floor is always cleaned, everything is very well polished including the staff. The pool area is cool, not spectacular but it's nice. The pool is cleaned well and is about 3 and half feet deep. I will say the rooftop view is BEAUTIFUL both day and night. Very close to the Empire State Building so the pictures here are always spot on if you're looking for aesthetic. I'm very thankful that the staff is very pet friendly, everyone treats my pup with respect and love. Overall, I love this place and would stay here again and I would recommend to a friend. I will say one thing I would change is that the rooms aren't that big and they look pretty old school. But other than that LOVED IT.

Yan Y.

Yelp
The hotel was nice but the housekeeping could be better. They only make the beds and don't replace the towels or shower caps. The staff was okay but the room service was really slow. I will be coming back soon.

Sophia S.

Yelp
The Royalton rooftop bar is definitely one that I will be back to! The drinks are great, the ambiance within the bar itself is cozy while maintaining elegance, and the staff is incredibly friendly:)

Ebony J.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best hotels I have stayed at while visiting New York. Ambiance was awesome, clean, service was great!

Llisa G.

Yelp
If you like HOT YOGA, then you'll love the Royalton rooms. They look just like to pick except you will be sweating profusely all night. The ACs are set to 70°. No matter how low you programmed them it will stay at 70°. It is hot and uncomfortable and the staff pretends that the ACs are cooling. I love the rooms but won't be back.

Larry N.

Yelp
Luxurious hotel, with friendly and professional team members, awesome rooftop restaurant / bar with outdoor patios and sweeping views. Not to mention the rooftop pool and sun lounge with views of the Empire State Building. Lovely rooms and suites, some even have an outdoor deck overlooking the sights and sounds of Park Avenue. Nice sized gym with free weights and machines. This is a truly a gem! Located at 29th & Park, a short walk to Madison Square Park, The Flat Iron Distract, Nomad, the Empire State Building, and much more! There are so many great team members that are the life blood of this "home away from home" 5-star boutique hotel. Some of those awesome people include: Ashley (sales/marketing) Courtney, Brandi, Jackson, Dindin, Steven, Gabriela, Dennis, Juan (front desk), Ramon, JR, Kalani (rooftop restaurant/lounge), and many more! Whether you are visiting NYC for work or vacation, this is a great hotel to rest your head and much more. I highly recommend them!

Rodrigo L.

Yelp
Horrible experience. This hotel gotta be the shittiest hotel I ever stayed in my life. I've stayed in so many hotels around the world and in nyc and this is literally the worst experience I ever had. The stuff is extremely rude and unwelcoming. You won't feel welcome or at home here.

Tunaidi A.

Yelp
Royalton Park Avenue is a great hotel with a great location. The rooms aren't as small as I'd thought. The service was great. You can leave your luggage early (before check-in) and late (post check-out), and still use their amenities, like their rooftop pool.

John N.

Yelp
Great views from rooftop. The drinks and appetizers were good. There was a cool DJ. Host was very friendly and asked us if we wanted to sit inside, outside or out by pool. We selected out by the pool. He brought us out there and sat us at a couch and table and gave us menus. About 10 mins later a waitress came by and said we could not sit at pool after 6 pm with a child. So we got up to go inside but no one escorted us to a new table so we just found a table and sat there. Host came by and said we should have different non-pool menus. I asked him why he sat us at pool even though we were not allowed out there with a child. He apologized and said he forgot. He also told our new waiter to comp us our first drink - which was great. In general this is a descent place but seems a little disorganized when you enter.

Jeffrey B.

Yelp
Looking for the royal treatment? Look no further. Excellent staff. Excellent service. The perfect oasis in NYC.

Tina K.

Yelp
Great location for guests traveling to NYC. Minutes drive or walk to food restaurants and major tourist attractions. There's a Starbucks literally across the street for coffee lovers. They do offer a glass of Prosecco betwen 5-6pm Friday & Saturday. Ivy room bar and resto is a nice addition, dim light good ambiance great staff, ask for Calvin at the bar! I tried the pork sliders(served as 2 sandwiches) and they were amazing. Room service 24/7 and very swift! Only disappointment is rooms are very small, you can barely fit in the bathroom, queen bed is more like Full and you can feel metals pocking through old mattress. My toilet water tank kept running which woke me up‍ sink so small you cant avoid water messes Great shower pressure, good robes and slippers, stocked mini bar

Maya N.

Yelp
This review is for the rooftop lounge area. The tomato bisque with the grilled cheese sandwiches was to die for. On a crisp winter evening it really hit the spot with amazing views around us. The shishitso Peppers were perfectly salted and not to oily. I was most impressed by the service and the branzino however. As someone who keeps halal I was not able to have the meatballs in the pasta but they were gracious enough to substitute that with chargrilled shrimp. The portions are also very generous And I will definitely be back for a casual Tete a tete in the liga hood . It's a great spot for out of town visitors who want that Manhattan vibe In a convenient low-key way without the queues

Samuel B.

Yelp
Very cheap hotel, in every sense of the word. We paid less than $300 per night, so I guess you get what you pay for. We checked in and were told there is complimentary champagne in the lobby from 5-6. Went to the lobby at 5:30 and was told they ran out. Later called and asked if they had ice. Nope. Called later and asked for coffee pods. Nope. We were told the rooftop pool is adults only after 4 pm. At 5 pm there were over a dozen kids in the pool, mostly unsupervised, and wreaking havoc. But 2 stars for the room being decent sized for midtown.

Yelp
Far overpriced for their poor customer service. Weird bathroom. Too many concessions. No housekeeping?? Stayed at the Royalton for an extended weekend trip, 4 days, 4 nights. Walked into a dirty room upon arrival. Bed was not made, bathroom was dirty. Called front desk to complain. Said they would send someone right up. Two hours go by and we had dinner plans to get to. Tell the front desk on way out that I am still waiting for someone to take care of my room. Thankfully returned to a made bed and sort of clean bathroom. Trash was not taken out, someone else's used soap still present. Kind of gross. The following morning I left the hangar on the door when we left stating I would like housekeeping to clean the room. Returned and the room had not been attended to. No big deal, had been cleaned day before. Left the next morning again with the proper hangar on the door asking for housekeeping to clean. Stopped in at front desk to say I would love some clean sheets and new towels. Return to my room that evening to find no housekeeping once again. We wanted fresh towels for a shower at least, so I called the front desk to have some brought up. It was an hour before we saw the them. On our final day out, once again used the hangar and stopped at the front desk to say we need some clean sheets for the bed. To no surprise, still returned to an unmade bed. So many concessions in the not cold mini fridge that I was unable to store our take out and waters. Didn't want to remove them for fear of being charged for their overpriced concessions. $13 for a 1L water? The desk was also have full of overpriced snacks that I had to move to put my laptop down. Finally, the bathrooms. First off, dirty upon arrival. Never really attended to, other than hastily wiping down the dirty sink and counter. I am 6'2" The shower head was pointed at my chest / upper abdomen with no adjustment. The toilet was oddly right in the middle of the bathroom. But too close to the oversized door that when my S/O was using it I mashed her toe when I opened the door to wash my hands. Overall, this hotel was the lowest point of our great NYC trip! A huge downer to arrive / return to a not clean room and frustrating to not have something as simple as towels brought up in a timely manner. I highly do not recommend staying here unless the only thing you care about is location.

Yelp
I stayed a night with friends last weekend. Just as we were checking out, after what we thought was a pleasant stay, the clerk charges the credit card and states that he will email the receipt without any additional information. We asked for a printed receipt, as it felt a bit rushed only to find that we were UNKNOWINGLY charged over $500 for a "smoking fee". After telling the clerk that we do not smoke, he replied with "the sensors picked up on some kind of smoking". We asked to speak to the manager, who was as helpful as the clerk. After repeatedly telling him that we do not smoke, but we have many heating devices working, he casually stated that it was possible that the sensors picked on that by accident. He was unable to provide us with the "registration waiver" we supposedly signed. A blank waiver stated that there is a $500 "refreshment fee " if you smoke in the room. Easily enough, someone could have walked into our room right there and then and when they realized there was no smell of smoke or anything else in our room, they should've refunded us promptly. However, that was not an option. After countless attempts at trying to reach the manager, Bill Mehalco, no one returned any of our calls or messages. At this point it's between them and the credit card company. Although it could have all been avoided. So, be ware and make sure you see your bill before you hand them your card!

Yelp
Tommy's were clean and nice the fridge was packed and menu overpriced snacks to choose from in the room . Great rooftop bar/ restaurant with pool access and open all year round . My stay was not so good . My night was very noisy the hallways very noisy , no insulation in the walls or hallways . Heard the neighbors going at it and the continuous slamming of the laundry shoot all night .

Yelp
I liked this hotel. I stayed here for work. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The walls were a little thin but not too bad. The staff were very friendly. I would stay here again.

Yelp
I made reservations for this hotel in Feb 2021. Was really looking forward to staying here on my trip to NYC. I checked on my resv 2 weeks before my arrival. I saw that there was a banner on their web site that said they were closed. I called resv and they confirmed my resv amd told me that the web site must not have been updated but that I was confirmed. I called again yesterday (day before my arrival) and when i checked out their web site it said the hotel was closed until Sept 15. I have no problem with them being closed due to the pandemic, but won't you inform a guest weeks in advance? I was pretty upset that NO ONE called me. And NO help was offered, they told me someone would reach out to me, and just received a call right now a day later and while I am already in the City. SUCH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, says a lot about how this property is managed!

Yelp
Wow so surprised at the low rating. I went on a last minute trip to visit my cousins who flew in from LA. Found a great price for the room on TRavelUP website. Made a reservation without an issue. I arrived later than I expected and I called and the staff took care of altering my arrival time without question. When I walked in I was greeted by staff, asked for validation of vaccination ( huge cudos) and was given the most spectacular room. Since I was staying one night they gave a king room instead of the queen I reserved. The hotel is run like a European hotel. Staff is Full service and highly accommodating to your needs. Hotel itself is full service with gym, restaurant, roof deck pool, etc. also this hotel is centrally located to everything in midtown. This is my new go to hotel in NYC. Hands down the best experience. My cousins from LA saw the room and could not believe it and will stay here next time instead of another hotel two blocks away. Treat and Indulge yourself! Def going back

Yelp
If you want to experience the worst hotel service you've ever experienced, go to Royalton Park Avenue Hotel in Manhattan. If you visit this place on Halloween, you will have nightmares twice. No house keeping unless you call them. They'll answer your call if you are lucky.if you need any service, you need to call them minimum 3times for every hour and wait 3 hours. I included breakfast when I booked this hotel. However, when I arrived at the hotel, the restaurant was not open at all and they don't know when it will be opened. Good luck!

Yelp
We chose this place for a drink and a place to gather for several of our friends on Saturday night. But the vibe was so good that we ended up just staying the whole night. DJ Martina created a wonderful ambiance and mood and the bar tenders were super friendly. Would highly recommend this spot. Look out for DJ Martina for a special treat

Yelp
Surprised by the negative reviews, we had a lovely stay and this is definitely one of the best hotels we've stayed at in nyc for the price point. I've stayed at empire hotel for about the same cost and this is so much nicer. Rooms are spacious by nyc means (even included a couch), modern looking, and has everything needed. It is pretty sound proof from the streets (a little noisy from the hallway but we were located by the elevator where people were loud), and we slept very well. Loved the interior decor of the rooftop bar and enjoyed the pool area as well. Service was friendly, and housecleaning great. Location excellent for walking and subway. Overall this surpassed our expectations and we will definitely be returning to this hotel.
